The current issue of the authoritative ION intimates that numerous emissaries from Uhuru Kenyatta's camp have been sent to Miguna Miguna, the suspended PM's advisor on coalition affairs, to join Team Uhuru in an unspecified capacity and that a mind boggling offer has apparently been put on the table for Miguna's consideration.
The political grapevine is that Miguna has been made an offer he will find very hard to turn down and that his appearance at K-24 Jeff Koinange's On-the-bench was not a coincidence. K-24 is owned by the Kenyatta family.
As we constantly predicted here at Jukwaa, Miguna will be an asset to any political camp and personally, I would hate to see him abandon ODM and join the other side. Miguna's hard hitting articles and fearless defence of ideals he believes in are what presidential candidates need during the campaign period and most would love to have him on their side. Team Uhuru are no idiots and I am not sure if they have done their 'valuation' correctly. If these rumours are true and Miguna Miguna eventually joins Team Uhuru (God forbid!) then ODM will have lost a most loyal and forthright stalwart.

First of all, the Indian Ocean Newsletter tends to publish a lot of rumors and inuendo. Quite often it is wrong and over the past year it has had to retract so called news from Kenya on more than one occasion. I do not know who its rep in Kenya is but I have not been impressed by him or her. Secondly, while I do understand that MM has to make a living, somehow I do not see him joining a group that harbors so many people he has issues with. MM is not a PR person. He has a great legal mind and is a good political analyst. If he does join those he has been working against I would be very disappointed.

I maintain my position, without any apologies. MM is a great asset to any political party. However, MM is a great image problem to anybody. A Party needs a mouth to destroy the opponents. A leader needs charm. He goes to project Uhuru, good for us. He should consider writing briefs for ODM. That is his natural place. Not anywhere close to the PM. I love being eaten!

Phil, If he wants to join Uhuru Kenyatta so be it. Nobody can or should stop him from doing what he thinks is right even if its only to get back at the PM.
As its been said before, the beautiful ones are not yet born and someone else will step up to the plate and take MM positions in case he joins the other side.
As always we wish him lack in team Uhuru and the KKK G/7 club. We still think he is a great guy.

BIG MIG will need millions of litres of white wash to make Muthamaki and co look whiter than snow if- and that's a big if- he has the guts to join the anti-reformers and watermelons and Goldenberg architects and Anglo Leasing masterminds and....
BIG MIG has written a million and one words blasting Uhuruto Camp, calling them all sorts of names including when he claimed Muthamaki had excelled in only one thing way back in university which is smoking something a bit thicker than sigara. So what will have changed?
IF indeed BIG MIG joins these guys who face murder and rape charges at The Hague, it will be about cash first, morality second. And no one will ever take him serious again for the rest of his years. I'm sure the over sensitive guy can't afford to stand the ridicule.
Kindly clear this overpowering stench Bwana Oloo before it turns the entire world wide web blue.

Phil
Unless you have such a low opinion of MM, I cannot imagine you thinking that Miguna would work for leave alone with Uhuru.
Miguna may be very many things I think he is, but he is not your kawaida fool to get into such a deal.

Hon Miguna can go eat some of our tax money stolen by muthamaki, his father who assassinated TJM, JMK etc He can act like a Trojan horse and destroy him from within in the Panua fiasco. That will be worth it.

Ndugu Kamale,
I am in total agreement with you. Impossible is the word. This is nothing but an insult to Miguna's character and indeed to some of us who genuinly share some of his ideals. This is extremely far fetched. Time will bear us through.

Wow. As someone who interacts with Miguna on a DAILY basis, I am astounded at this allegation.
My lips are otherwise, ZIPPED.

OO,
Please ask MM, having been ill treated by the lofty echelons, to join ordinary citizenry on Jukwaa and interact with the blogosphere without emissaries.

This post kind of reminds me way back in Nyayo era when Moi would use court jesters like Chotara, Kanyingi and Barng'etuny to float some hot political balloons in the air to see which way they will fly or whether they will be shot down. The Prof of politics would then come to the "rescue" of wananchi if the issue received wide-spread disapproval from the masses and blast the same clowns he had personally authorized to float a given hot issue. Miguna should not use the same tactics if he's behind this ploy. Moi may be long gone but his tactics seem to be much alive in Kenya today. Who can forget Miguna being fired in 1 o'clock news through the radio just like they used to do back in the mama na baba era?

ION isn't worth the html it's written in, unless you enjoy reading unfounded speculation, gossip or fiction.

Everything I said about Miguna in the aftermath of his suspension is coming to pass. When I said it I was actually kicked out of this forum. I said from the onset that his court case was null and void ab initio. The reality has finally dawned on him and realizing that he does not have a case, he is now pushing for an out of court settlement. Its good that he has finally come back to his senses and I wish him all the best in his future endevour. I hope there are some lessons he will carry with him

. Miguna's hard hitting articles and fearless defence of ideals he believes in are what presidential candidates need during the campaign period and most would love to have him on their side. If he truly defends ideals he believes in then we do not have to worry, he may just cross over to Camp Uhuru for the money. Otherwise his ideals are still intact. Unless he did not believe in RAO then he can change the tune!

That is normally the problem of rushing to do things in anger - sometimes people act irrationally. Rushing to court without thinking through that he could actually lose may have been the motivation to get an out of court settlement. But as is typical, he has made demands that even the AG will struggle to concede. The demand that he agrees to withdraw the case on condition he is paid as much as Muthaura is just curious!

I think Miguna has done well towards building a name for himself. Of course he has done his mistakes here and there but as a plus, Miguna has provided Kenya with a positive start which we should only strive to build upon!I can only pray and hope more of Migunas are going to come out.
Saying that, I personally wouldn't mind working with him at all. I am sure with a little twik in certain areas Miguna can help us succeed where others may have failed!
A third liberation is what Kenya should be focussing on right now.
As to Migunas case in the offing, I am convinced there is more to it than meets the eye. Just try looking beyond the lines!
