In April this year Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Hon Uhuru Kenyatta and the so called “crème-de-la-crème” of Luo Nyanza professionals and business met in what Kuria described as an historic meeting of the mind.Kuria spinned saying “the meeting marked a departure from the culture of whining and looking for someone else to blame for the challenges that afflict the region” I am sure you will recall he opined that finally Luo Nyanza was about to end the culture of “Tungeomba Serikali isaidie”. Raphael TuJu is the anointed one, he will spearhead this supposed good news of self-reliance through personal initiative and the right choice of priorities for the region. He is already peddling this bait in his early campaigns. When Kuria said that “it is a question of time before both domestic and international investors flock the LUO NYANZA region in search of the vast, largely untapped investment opportunities” He already knew that Raph was their man, being groomed by the very president Kibaki waiting to be unleased at the right time. Raphael Tuju as been bought by the highest bidder... LET ME PROVE IT.. Do you remember Kuria saying that “It is an open secret that the Luo Nyanza region is awash with immense economic opportunities. As a matter of fact, with the right policies and attitudes, the region can only be comparable to Southern Sudan, an economic Greenfield where everything can be developed from the scratch? Listen to that WITH THE RIGHT POLICIES AND ATTITUDES!! Along comes TUJU.... now pretending to be his own man... The role had been crafted for him ages ago, don’t you remember Kuriasaying “That the since independence, the political leadership of the region has held the people hostage to a self defeating ideology of blaming everybody except themselves for the region’s woes? Now a messiah has arrived, a man who will take spearhead the LUO LIBERATION.. Fortunately according to Kuria and those championing the LUO LEADERSHIP “COUP DE ETAT” Tuju has taken the gauntlet of telling LUO NYANZA that they can use the side mirrors and the front mirror as well. Think carefully what does it mean that “the worst disservice that the Luo Nyanza political leaders have committed to the good people of the region is emasculation of the true heroes and role models from the region? That role model is Tuju and the Like!.. Where did he get the audacity to state this... “It is a pity when the talk that dominates the political elite from the region is centred on acquisition of power FOR AN INDIVIDUAL AND EXPORTING THE KIBERA DEVELOPMENT MODEL INTO LUO NYANZA” Isn’t that an insult?? Here comes the BIG ONE are you ready... ok “Beneath this din of “Hosanna to the Ker” lie many true role models who could inspire the youth from the region. Raphael Tuju single-handedly transformed the healthcare landscape of Rarieda through his mobile clinics project. Let me simplify this... KIBERA DEVELOPMENT MODEL versus MOBILE CLINICS MODEL.. That will be gist of RAPHAEL TUJU CAMPAIGN.. it has been in the plan for too long... He will do everything to Rubbish the PM.. When Tuju was attacked recently by some angry youths, don’t you remember that even after the PM talked against the incident TUJU INSISITED ON DRAGGING THE PM INTO IT saying that He [the PM] must take political responsibility.. why?? I will tell you why... it’s a plan and a simple plan at that “DON’T give the PM a break!! GIVE HIM ALOT TO THINK ABOUT,, LET HIM BE ON THE DEFENSIVE ALL THE TIME.. The goal is simple MAKE HIM LOOK BAD. The PM will be putting out fires the whole of 2012.. From KKV to human rights and so on, others bombs will be unleashed in his doorstep soon.. Watch this space! You see Raphael Tuju has been a G7 project in the Making for a long time, don’t be deceived, he is there for a very well defined purpose and role. HE IS NOT IS OWN MAN... I REPEAT HE IS NOT HIS OWN MAN.. He knows he cannot be the president of Kenya.. But he knows that has a duty to perform.. and he will perform it! Do you remember what Raphael Tuju said when he launched his presidential bid? Here it is Tuju says today that “he will not form TRIBAL ALLIANCE will rely on the youth, unemployed and others who do not go for tribal alliance politics. This may earn him acceptance than the others africanpress.me/2011/08/28/breaking-news-raphael-tuju-to-receive-president-kibakis-backing-for-presidency-come-2012-elections/. Then immediately after that KKV SCANDAL... perfect timing!!! Did you know that Raphael TUJU met bloggers at the Grand Regency hotel in October? www.savvykenya.com/2011/10/when-raphael-tuju-met-bloggers/ He will be all over the blogs, even here at Jukwaa.. Kuria said that “Luo Nyanza can focus on • Modernizing the fish industry and ensuring that the bulk of the benefits from the proceeds benefit the local people. • The region is blessed with abundant water resources that will now find it’s way to irrigation and converting Luo Nyanza into the new bread basket for the nation. • Revival of the strategic industries such as KICOMI should be a red-hot priority. • Egypt’s lifeline is in the Nile which has it’s source in Lake Victoria, the fresh water reservoir that should transform lives not only in Luo Nyanza but indeed the entire East African Community” That is exactly what you will hear Rapheal Tuju PARROTING...Talking about in days to come. I can bet my last bucks!! How about this “Predictably some people will view the rise of the Luo Nyanza professionals and businesspeople as a move to checkmate the presidential ambitions of the Prime Minister, Hon Raila Odinga. And then... This is the manifest nonsense that has seen the region lag behind in development”All along this has been in the planning Raphael Tuju is performing a role well crafted for him way way back . He therefore cannot come and tell us that he is standing as president out of his own aspirations to lead Kenya.... He is driving the agenda of UHURU KENYATTA. “Perhaps its time that the political leadership in Luo Nyanza hearkens to the voice of professionals and business people from the region” Kuria said All they are saying is “Let my people go!” The reincarnation of Moses has been sent to the Luo as prophesied by Kuria.

Foresight,
Thanks heaps for the insight. How I wish I could propound on the same right now. Unfortunately, time does not allow me to do so right now.
As soon as I get time, I will be right back.
Tuju's myth must be exposed for what it is, namely a myth!! And it must be done right now!

WHY IS TUJU GOING BACK TO KISUMU
BY JERRY OKUNGUMy friend Raphael Tuju is indeed a presidential candidate in 2012 even though he has yet to declare his party of choice. If anything, I am one of those people who strongly believe that he has a constitutional right to vie for the highest post in the land once his credentials meet the mandatory requirements. To be a president of Kenya, I suppose one must be a Kenya citizen by birth, above 18 years of age, must possess a college degree, a morally upright citizen and law abiding with no criminal record. Other than these qualities, one must believe in the principle of good governance, the rule of law, ability to respect human rights, a sense of justice for all and be of sound mind. Tuju possesses all of the above. However, I’m beginning to get worried about Tuju’s style of launching his campaign. He has started on a combative mode many months ahead of the election season. It would appear that Tuju’s primary mission is to provoke the ODM into doing something stupid so that the electorate and especially the ODM opponents can find something to whip the party with. If I were Raphael Tuju, I would resist the temptation to take on Raila Odinga and ODM especially in Nyanza. That strategy is a non-starter.Let me state categorically that as a Kenyan, Tuju just like any presidential aspirant should be free to go anywhere in the Republic of Kenya and solicit votes. He should be in Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Machakos, Meru, Embu, Garissa, Moyale, Narok, Lodwar, Kapenguria, Kericho, Kisii, Kisumu, Kakamega and Mt. Elgon hunting for votes unmolested. What baffles me is why Raphael Tuju is hell bent on returning to Kisumu this weekend after the violence that he faced just the other day. As I write this article, some of the young hooligans who pelted him with stones are already charged in courts in Kisumu. When such hearings start in earnest, political temperatures will be building up in Kisumu whether we like it or not. Residents will recall that his earlier forays in Kisumu campaigns for whatever faction of government when he was a minister have always ended in chaos and even deaths of innocent people. It is my considered opinion that if Tuju wants to be president he doesn’t have to campaign in Kisumu. In fact he is better off focusing on other regions and forget Kisumu if the residents of Kisumu are hostile to him. He is better off starting with Siaya, Bondo, Busia, Kakamega, Migori, Homa Bay and Kisii as he plans for Kisumu. He may also need to scout for influential heavy weights in Kisumu to prepare the ground for him rather than adopting a bravado approach in Kisumu politics because that approach is bound to backfire very badly on him.It is my considered opinion that a presidential aspirant who makes Raila Odinga his manifesto or punching bag will never get Kenyans’ votes. This country has moved on. Kenyans truly need thinkers for president- those who can think outside the box. Politics of bringing down opponents, politics of character assassinations, and politics of disparaging opponents are these days boring to Kenyans.I don’t want Tuju to go the route of ODM rebel MPs who have spent the better part of the 10th parliament making Raila their political agenda every day of the week for four years yet today they have nothing to show for it. It would be a pity if Tuju fell in the traps of KKK Alliance, the G7 Alliance and the ODM rebels. For four years they have preached the anti-Raila sermon with no converts to show for their efforts four years later. And as they shouted their voices horse, they continued to trail in the polls! We have other presidential aspirants such as Martha Karua, Peter Kenneth, Mutava Musyimi and even George Saitoti and Moses Wetangula who have declared their interests in the presidency. They have remained civil. They are not causing commotion in their backyards. If Raphael Tuju really cares for Kisumu and Nyanza people, he has no business going to that town in the knowledge that there may be riots. Kisumu has suffered enough since 1969. Young people have died senseless deaths related to politics since then, in most cases being shot dead by government security agents guarding government officials. They died under Jomo Kenyatta in 1969. They died in 2005 during the referendum campaign. They died in 2008 during the post election violence. We must say enough is enough. As a friend I must tell Raphael Tuju the truth. Do not be misled by wrong advisors who have found in you a hero to deal with Raila Odinga this time round. They are leading you in a ditch and once you fall, they will melt away. At your age you have a good chance of being a major player in politics in the next several years. Do not throw that chance away by being dragged into cheap village politics. Go to Nyanza people. Start with Rarieda and ask them to tell you where you went wrong; why they hate you so much. Nyanza people are very political but also very reasonable and forgiving. Initiate positive dialogue and they will listen to you. Choose your advisors well but listen to your inner voice. It is your best advisor. In politics individual ego can be disastrous. On the other hand humility can be very rewarding. This is the best advice I have read so far directed at TUJU. www.the-star.co.ke/opinions/jerry-okungu/48823-why-is-tuju-going-back-to-nyanza-this-weekend

Nice article by Jerry Okungu. Very sound advice. Mzee,Good advice but if Tuju takes the advice, he might as well fold his campaign. Who will give Tuju an audience unless Tuju has something to say about Raila. Tuju knows he has as much a chance of being elected the president of Kenya as adongo ogony has of being Jesus Christ and freeing the whole world from sin and taking everybody with me to heaven to sit on the right hand side of the father. Imagine that! What shot do I have with that? Zero! I may have a shot of sitting with the other guy but I am not looking forward to that. Tuju's sole agenda is to create some kind of ugly scenes in Nyanza to fit with the narrative of Raila the king of intolerance. That would serve the G7 agenda making Tuju the G8 in deadly soup of confusion. Each and everyone of them has one and only one agenda, namely what to do with Raila. That is why Tuju wants to make Kondele his campaign headquarters. I suggest Tuju should start a Kondele Survivor Reality TV show to air every weekend. That means every week we have to see a more and more daring Tuju not only boldly dodging stones but even learning the skills of catching stones flying at 200 Km an hour towards his nose. Imagine that. Tuju would awe the nation with his dare devil bravery and stone catching skills. Then move to having stones breaking to pieces upon touching his head. That is the man bite dog scenario right there. Here we will see Tuju's iron head doing damage to stones. That is serious reality TV. Forget about people eating insects to survive and such other nonsense. Here we are taking tough to a whole new level. The nation would be transfixed on the Kondele Survivor TV show and Tuju will not only be laughing all the way to State House but also to the bank with loads of cash. Then he can syndicate the show to be aired in reruns for all the five years while in office until he starts shooting new series in 2017 assuming the stones don't make him completely mad in the head. How about that for a business proposal. I am ready to be the producer of this great show. I think I need to talk to the man mara moja. People need money and food on the table. If some people can eat ma.fi ya kuku to make money in some survivor show somewhere what is a few stones on the head every week. That is a walk in the park for Raph. Even change the name to "Rough" your daddy not Raph my son. We are talking tough here. Show time fellas. Coming soon to a TV near you. People should start cheering already. Give the man some encouragement please.

It is people like Jerry Okungu that are taking us back to the dark days and Kenyans should avoid them like the plague. What a pathetic way of reasoning. Am told the man is sick, maybe he got too sick to think straight.
According to Okungu, Tuju should avoid Kisumu and campaign in other areas. This is just silly. When did Kisumu become a NO GO AREA for other politicians? Which politician owns Kisumu? What if other politicians declared their hometowns as NO GO AREAS too? Where will Okungu send all the president wannabes to campaign?
Kisumu just like Kericho, Eldoret, Gatundu, Meru, Mandera etc does not belong to anyone and each candidate is free to sale themselves everywhere. We cannot affor to balkanize the country in this manner. It is primitive and heathen.

Adongo, I wonder if Tuju really wants to do what he is currently doing i.e. continuously provoking the people of Kondele. I understand that some chaps are already arraigned in court for throwing stones at Kibaki´s son Ralph. This he calculates will further antagonize the kondele youth to throw even more stones at the president in waiting and create even more publicity that will paint Raila in bad light. What a mission, what a strategy, what a tactic? This man is doing his job.
All this he is doing in the name of pleasing his “dad”. After taking money from his dad and others to destroy Raila, he has no choice but to push ahead or else. Remember that this is a guy who claimed that he has no tribe or rather his tribe was Kenyan, yet he has refused to campaign in Nairobi where he resides. He has even declined to go to Central or Rift valley provinces which are just a few kilometers from Nairobi. Instead he is going to provoke people in Kondele.
Anyways, the man is being paid handsomely to fight Raila. The question is; will he succeed where people such as Orengo failed? I highly doubt.
Interestingly enough, Tuju believes that Kenyans cannot see what he is upto.

Mwalimu
Stop evangelizing what Jerry has said in crystal clear opulence.
The man is only asking Rapho to let temperatures in Kondele drop to favorable fahrenheits before returning there.
That is why Jerry says in clear terms that "He (Tuju) is better off starting with Siaya, Bondo, Busia, Kakamega, Migori, Homa Bay and Kisii as he plans for Kisumu."
Jerry then goes ahead to demonstrate how Tuju can employ a winning tact that can endear him to the people of Port Florence when he says that "He (Tuju) may also need to scout for influential heavy weights in Kisumu to prepare the ground for him rather than adopting a bravado approach in Kisumu politics because that approach is bound to backfire very badly on him."
Raila is using proxies in Central Kenya to help him make political incursions there.
He even went ahead and cancelled his tour to Nyeri after political hoodlums took and ran away with his innocent remarks in court recently to gain political capital.
Did you see how the kati kati expert made a meal out of it, by rushing to Nyeri.

Tom,You bet I have never been to a seminary school in any capacity. I therefore do not understand what you mean by 'evangelizing'. But this is what I know, zoning the country and advising people to seek permision from the 'kings' of those fiefdoms does not belong to the Kenya we are struggling to build, it is as heathen as one can think of. What the people of Kisumu need to be told is that they are behaving badly and that their actions are so archaic that they need to be initiated into engaing in violence of the mind and not the body. Meanwhile, here is Barrak Muluku on the same. Didnt he put it better than I could have? Luo Nyanza caught up in the trap of personality cult and hero worshipBarrack Muluka Prime Minister Raila Odinga likes talking about dogs and their owners. He regularly tells Kenyans that if someone’s dog habitually harasses you, you should talk to the master.
When youth in Kisumu begin showing us violent signs of things that are likely to come as we gravitate towards the General Election, you address not the youth, but Raila.Former Minister for Foreign Affairs, Raphael Tuju, was stoned by rowdy youth in Kisumu last week. The youth were angry that Tuju had taken his 2012 presidential campaign to Kisumu. Luo Nyanza is considered Raila’s political holy ground. Tuju’s campaign there, therefore, was considered desecration of Raila’s holy of the holies. Writing an opinion piece elsewhere, Jerry Okungu, who is my close friend, says Tuju should stop campaigning in Kisumu.
That the people of Kisumu have already rejected him. Moreover, Okungu thinks Tuju’s venture in Kisumu is tantamount to "making Raila his manifesto and punching bag". He goes on to say Tuju "is better off focusing on other regions and forget(ing) Kisumu because the residents of Kisumu are hostile to him." But is this true?Prof Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, my teacher at the University of Nairobi at the apogee of the Nyayo Era and also my close friend, accuses Tuju of "stage managing" the violence against himself. I am sad that I should have to address my friends through this forum. However, they have obliquely gone into public space with an important public matter. We must therefore address the truth of this public matter in public space and continue to be good friends in private, in spite of our diametrically opposed views on this public matter. The problem with Kisumu begins and ends with an intellectual community that is afraid of facing the facts. So what is the truth? That Luo Nyanza is caught up in the trap of a personality cult and hero worship. That people like Nyong’o and Lands minister James Orengo have previously paid the price of not toeing the cultic line.
That they have since learnt the lesson. That they are now cultural high priests. People like Tuju are the disturbing conscience of communities whose intellectuals worship in empty ethnic shrines.
Such people disturb the conscience of the pandering scholar. Every member of a community such as this is supposed to worship at this shrine. And it is not limited to the Luo. It is the same among all the so-called six big tribes of Kenya. Independent minded leaders and are branded traitors. They are demonised. The community would rather have a person from anther tribe, trying to sell a different political agenda here, but not a member of the tribe. But hero worship in Luo Nyanza is in its own class. It has a long, solid, and even mythical historical foundation. You can trace it back to the great Luo patriarchs who led diverse groups of the people in migrations from Bar El Ghazel into the Inter Lacustrine region of East Africa. The Joka Omolo, Joka Owiny, Joka Okech, Joka Ojok, Jo Padhola; they all followed near cultic leaders all the way to Emanyulia, where they now call themselves Abamanyulia. You would have expected that Jaramogi Oginga Odinga would be the last of this stock of near cultic leaders. But it was not to be. For, old habits die hard. When Jaramogi passed on in 1994, there was feverish activity to succeed him. I take note that Jerry is quick to state that Tuju’s campaigns in Kisumu "have always ended in chaos and even death of innocent people". He conveniently forgets the violence of 1994 – 1997 in the streets of Kisumu. He forgets the bloodshed and death in these streets in the Jaramogi Succession.
Youth, who were ostensibly allied to Raila Odinga (then the leader of the National Development Party) and Mayor Lawrence Oile of Kanu, claimed many lives in Kisumu. The irony of it all is that Oile was an elected mayor.
He was not a "reject among the residents of Kisumu, so why the bloodbath in those days? Recall also that Raila was the elected MP for Langata at that time. Yet youth in Kisumu were ostensibly fighting for him. Who stage managed that violence?[/u] The truth is that Raila needs to unequivocally distance himself from portraits of violence. This is not to say that the premier is the author of the violence. But when narratives and associations of violence abound around a leader, his image begins taking on solid contours of this character.Historians David Throup and Charles Hornsby remind us in the title, Multiparty Politics in Kenya, of political violence in 1992. They write for example, "In Nairobi, where (Jaramogi) Odinga and Matiba factions (of the original Ford) had considerable support, there were outbreaks of violence, especially in Lang’ata constituency, where Raila Odinga hoped to be selected as Ford’s parliamentary candidate against intense opposition from Kimani Rugendo.
There were several serious clashes in Kibera, the constituency’s largest shanty town. One of the clashes left an Odinga supporter dead, and during the Ford primaries, a supporter of Rugendo was stabbed to death when he tried to run off with some ballot papers.
Then there are perceptions about the violent Ford-Kenya elections that Raila lost in Thika, on March 19, 1994. There are other examples. But the point is that a man who wants to become Kenya’s president would do well to distance himself from images of violence and territorialism.Kisumu is not anybody’s holy ground. Kisumu people have a right to reject Tuju. There exist decent and democratic ways of doing this. Local intellectuals who wish Raila well do him more harm than good when they live in pathological fear of the tribal overlord.
It is a tragedy of no mean proportions when people who fought against Kanu’s zoning off of the country in the 1990s zone off Kisumu. Such Kanu-like things can only generate fear of a possible Raila presidency. The writer is a publishing editor and media consultant www.standardmedia.co.ke/columnists/InsidePage.php?id=2000046560&cid=489&There you have it Tom and those who share Jerry's and your thinking. The good news is that the rest of the country has moved miles ahead. You will not need my permission to visit my village kichinjio, neither will you need a high priest to welcome you but you will still be welcomed nonetheless.

MwalimMkuu are you not hitting Tom “below the belt”? But first things first.. This statement Mwalimu, “Zoning the country and advising people to seek permission from the 'kings' of those fiefdoms does not belong to the Kenya we are struggling to build, it is as heathen as one can think of”Is a misrepresentation of what Jerry said, for this is what he said- “Let me state categorically that as a Kenyan, Tuju just like any presidential aspirant should be free to go anywhere in the Republic of Kenya and solicit votes. He should be in Mombasa, Nakuru, Eldoret, Nyeri, Machakos, Meru, Embu, Garissa, Moyale, Narok, Lodwar, Kapenguria, Kericho, Kisii, Kisumu, Kakamega and Mt. Elgon hunting for votes unmolested”Your suggestion that the people of Kisumu be initiated into “ENGAGING IN VIOLENCE OF THE MIND” sent shivers down my spine, however I liked it in its pointed metaphorical connotation. There is one very important statement Jerry made which gives meaning to his article… He said- “If I were Raphael Tuju” Everything he writes thereafter hinges on at premise.. “It is an advice” Tuju can ignore it if he so wishes. • Moesha termed it “the best advice so far” directed towards Tuju. • Mzee called it very sound advice. • Adongo humourously said it’s a good advice that Tuju should not take, if he wants to maintain relevance in his presidential campaign. And You Mwalimu obviously think it’s a “pathetic way of reasoning” question! Are you not happy that Jerry is trying to diminish the tension between the youths and Raph? And Tom making mention of JerryS article only stated that- “The man is only asking Rapho to let temperatures in Kondele drop to favorable fahrenheits before returning there”Jerry further states that "He (Tuju) is better off starting with Siaya, Bondo, Busia, Kakamega, Migori, Homa Bay and Kisii as he plans for Kisumu." I am not reading any kind of zoning in those statements…Barrack Muluka article was a disappointment, he made this statement “Luo Nyanza is caught up in the trap of a personality cult and hero worship” He referred to James Orengo and Prof Nyongo as Cultural High priests while trumpheting the agenda of Tuju whom he describes as a independent minded leader. I actually laughed at that, for nowhere in the world will you find LEADERSHIP AND INDEPENDENCE favourably walking together in agreement. If Mr Muluka is Raphs advisor, then he is the reason why stones are raining on that brother. I want to ask people here at Jukwaa one question.. What is so wrong with the Luo community following one Leader? What is so wrong with the Luo being loyal to centralized leadership? When Barack Muluka refers to the history of the LUO people and points out that “hero worship in Luo Nyanza is” in its own class” and that “It has a long, solid, and even mythical historical foundation” he sharply contradicts himself and he becomes illogical. He answers himself with that historical background, and fails to see that. He says that ‘You can trace it back to THE GREAT LUO PATRIARCHS who led diverse groups of the people in migrations from Bar El Ghazel into the Inter Lacustrine region of East Africa. Thats really weird!! AGAIN he says... The Joka Omolo, Joka Owiny, Joka Okech, Joka Ojok, Jo Padhola; THEY ALL FOLLOWED NEAR CULTIC LEADERS all the way to Emanyulia, where they now call themselves Abamanyulia. So what more does he want... ITS ROOTED IN HISTORY AND CULTURE. That very thing which Barack wants the Luo to do away with has been the POWER BEHIND the communities SURVIVAL and bargaining strength; it is that unity that has produced reformers among and within the Luo community. Is Barack not aware that the son of a Luo Man is president of a foreign Nation? If it were not for THE LOYALTY of the community to the extent of persevering political marginalization in the past, if it were not for people like the PM, Tuju would not be standing for president today. The day the Luo lose that “ESSENCE”, the community will LOSE A VITAL INGREDIENT of order within its cultural vein, and they will become porous. How many times have you heard politicians refer to the Luo loyalty as a model? It is in the nature of the community to follow one leader, and once they give you their word, it remains, ONLY CHANGING WHEN YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF THAT TRUST. If Barack wants to champions Tujus agenda he is free to do so, let him begin by advising Tuju that Raila is not interested in having a popularity contest with him.www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/I+will+back+Raila+if+he+is+more+popular+says+Tuju+++/-/1064/1271660/-/2ifuig/-/index.htmlBarack ends this article by shamelessly recounting events of the PMs past, very laboriously trying to potray him as a violent man ,PAST PRESENT AND FUTURE....In the end I have to agree with Jerry Okungu who said that that “a presidential aspirant who makes Raila Odinga his manifesto or punching bag will never get Kenyans’ votes”

JACKAL NEWS – Kenya’s Party of Action (POA) presidential candidate Raphael Tuju is rocked by a politically-devastating sex scandal involving his wife's alleged links to attempted murder and kidnapping, according a daring website, wikileakskenya.com. But Tuju's campaign team spokeswoman Judy Munyinyi rejected the allegations. The website, reputed for hard-hitting scoops, reported that Tuju is pleading with police not to detain mercy but police insist that he should negotiate with the complainant to withdraw the accusations. "The allegations are false," Munyinyi told the Jackal News. This is a culmination of a “Love Triangle†involving the Tuju, a former policeman, a private detective and a woman who is a friend of Mercy. Drama started when Mercy’s female friend introduced the former police officer to her “so as to get re-instated to the police force,†according to sources. After a few meetings, the two blossomed a passionate affair and were regularly meeting in a hotel in Nairobi’s South C residential estate. As the affair progressed, Tuju was informed about it and immediately hired a private detective who returned with explicit photos confirming his paymaster’s worst fears. Irked, Tuju confronted the wife and demanded answers about the affair, resulting to an exchange of words. Annoyed, Mercy began searching to establish the person who had set her up. Her main suspect was the female friend who had introduced her the former policeman. According to a narrative pieced up by the private investigator, Mercy hired goons who went after her friend. “They stabbed her at Bomb Blast Area and kidnapped her…,†police investigators said separately but consistently during interviews conducted by this website. The kidnapped woman was then taken to a house in Hurlingham residential estate and after four days there, one of the kidnappers developed cold feet, rushed to the police and reported the incident in exchange for immunity from prosecution should police decide to file charges. Police stormed the house, rescued the woman and arrested the kidnappers. They have all recorded statements. The rescued lady was then taken to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital, Adam Arcade Branch, where she was treated. Meanwhile, Tuju was then summoned and informed about the incident. He was also told that wife would be arrested to answer to the charges as evidence was clear-cut against her. In that meeting with Nairobi Provincial Criminal Investigations Officer (PCIO) Peter Muinde present two weeks ago, Tuju was categorical, “ Kila mtu aubebe msalaba wake†(Loosely translated as) to “let everyone carry their own cross†Police then decide to arrest her on February 20, 2012, on seeing a potential link to politics, Tujupleaded for more time. I have never considered Tuju to be a serious guy politically, nevertheless if this saga is real, then let the self destruction begin. Totally shameful! He will definitely need a sizable chuck of the alleged 3 billion campaign kit to buy off or silence the local dailies from running the story. Looks like buddies are going to be making big bucks during this electioneering period.
