Kenyan journalist are so bogus. First they are not even articulate... wanayumba-yumba. Then, they don't even know their facts. So forceful people like Miguna (nothing wrong by being forceful) can lord over them all day and make them look like fools. On this video, it was as if Miguna was merely lecturing as opposed to answering questions. I'm yet to see a real Kenyan journalist who can match fire with fire and put people they interview to task. So far these journalist are only good at reading scripts period. These are the fruits Kenyans are reaping when we have sham briefcase-like colleges purporting to be centers of higher learning. Look out for Linus Kaikai interviews ,that is the only journalist worth his salt. Listening to the interview of the self proclaimed whistleblower just made me want to throw up. Miguna thinks he is the only one entitled to think, write and express his feelings and opinion they way he see fit as long as he does not break the law. Well and good, the same i suppose apply too to those who burnt his effigy and buried his coffin. They did not break any law by burning the effigy of someone they detest but were only exercising their rights of expression in dissention albeit in a public way. If Miguna can not upto now comprehend this right, then he is not the lawyery scholar he think he is. Burning of effigy is a common thing worldwide and contemptous in its expression; the lowest form one is held by his/her peers. Miguna keep reminding us that the Prime Minister has not responded to his allegations. Why should he? Raila does not have the time nor fortitude to dignify lies with a response. Miguna should just deal with the fact that the volcanic eruption we were promised, fizzled out before anything became lava. Dude, find something else, or concoct another story, this one aint biting and not even your sponsors want anything to do with it. They may tell you how courageous you are and urge you to soldier on now, you wait when the elections are done, and your propaganda and vindictivness come to naught. Then what?

The book launch in Nakuru will take place at the Town Square next to the Standard Chartered Bank on Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 10 am to 12 noon. Afterwards the author will proceed to A-One Books and Stationers, First Floor, Shop F-17, Nakumatt Westside Mall, Nakuru for book signing. The venue in Kericho is yet to be confirmed. The Peeling Back the Mask County Tour hits Kisumu on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 10 am to 12 noon and will unfold at the Kisumu Hotel. Onyango OlooHow come you keep pushing Migunas Agenda in our faces even when we simply want to put him on our rear mirrors? And when people respond to what they regard as nonsensical noise coming from him, your reaction is often predictable? What astound me most is your willingness to becoming his personal assistant and then some. I just dont know what this guy has on you, that you are willing to sacrifice your intergrity without questioning his motives or even looking at his end game. This is simply an observation. That is the question we have all been scratching our heads about. It is unusual coming from someone who dismissed Jukwaa offhand when said: ".....yada yada.......You can both continue to delude yourselves that I was responding to your comments in Jukwaa. I rarely read them nowadays, unless someone sends specific ones to me. So, rest easy. You are the least of my concerns. ......yada yada..... ........I will not respond to either of you again........ Good Bye........." Read more: jukwaa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=7239&page=6#ixzz24FVV6Xlt
Clearly Miguna holds Jukwaa in disdain. The hypocrite has been unable to utilize his own handle for years but continues to make Oloo run basic errands on his behalf. But to Onyango Oloo, the message did not sink in yet. Jukwaa continues to be bombarded by irrelevant information on Miguna's personal diary. It is a huge embarassment and leaves a lot to be desired because Miguna's antics are the least of people's concern here at Jukwaa. Of course Miguna will soon get the message when he embarks on his purported promotional tour of 47 counties. Nearly three years after eating at the high table whilst demanding blackberry stroms and nothing less than toyota prados he has now found a voice strong enough to tour the nation. The rest of us were happy using redeemed kabambe handsets and occassional matatu rides. Not everyone is easily cheated! It is a poorly kept secret how funds have been channeled for logistics and mobilisation to stage manage the book signing ceremonies as hugely successful events. (This is coming from the same devious character who complained about the PM abandoning them with a Sh10k bill at Serena hotel - now wallowing in cash!). On a tour that is complete with a public address system and media cameras in tow, thousands of hard copy books will be "sold", never mind that the same book is sitting in 98% of email archives in Kenya and beyond! Certain individuals in mainstream media have been hired to specifically trail Miguna on tour. Provocative words will be used in some of these stops, including Kisumu, and one needs not to be a rocket scientist to figure out the motive here. On it's part, the ODM has formally sent out an appeal to all its 47 county branches urging its members and supporters to accord Miguna his constitutional rights, freedom of movement and assembly. The ODM urged its members to refrain from incidences that could breach the law. We have to - borrowing from Miguna's own internal office memos - "govern ourselves accordingly and use common sense". Let's wait for the cry-baby to return from his tour. Bookmark this.

Miguna's proposed sinister visit to Kisumu
We, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), wish to draw the attention of the members of the public to sinister machinations by one Miguna Miguna, working in cahoots with our adversaries, including but not limited to the National Security Intelligence Services (NSIS), to stage manage affray against himself and blame it on ODM and on our Party Leader, Rt. Hon. Raila A. Odinga.
Mr. Miguna Miguna is the man who has recently authored and published unfriendly propaganda against the Prime Minister Raila Odinga, with the self-proclaimed objective of “derailing the Prime Minister's quest for the Presidency in Kenya's next General and Presidential Election.
While Mr. Miguna has recently stated that he intends to travel all over the country on a mission to vilify the Prime Minister, he has conveniently chosen Kisumu as one of his first ports of call. Under the guise of ostensibly marketing a book, his objective “ together with his well-known sponsors“ is to get himself into stage-managed trouble and fish martyrdom and heroism from this.
This is a sinister, offensive and lowly ploy. It is common knowledge that Mr. Miguna's so-called book is a dead duck that has fallen flat on its face and no amount of "marketing" will make Kenyans buy it.
ODM wishes to call upon party members and supporters everywhere to ignore the Miguna farce with the contempt it deserves and to refrain from any engagement with him, whatsoever. You should not allow yourselves to be sucked into this sinister and stage-managed self-affray by Mr. Miguna and his masters. In the end, this wickedness will perish on its own decay. For our part, we shall remain focused on our mission to make Kenya a free, fair and just society. We shall not relent.
Hon. Peter Anyang' Nyong'o Secretary General, ODM

I for one have a problem with ODM constantly rubbishing other government organs in their constant bids of crying wolf or doing an imitation of chicken little. We saw the PM insult the new judiciary & he was promptly put in his place by the CJ & had to offer an apology (or was it a clarification?). Time & again the NSIS has been abused by ODM who should know better. (a) They are in government &, as I have stated before, should try to work with the spooks & (b) It is highly likely that the ODM has enough moles within the NSIS (they are Kenyans after all) who work with them so anything the "other side" may attempt to do is quickly neutralized. Rubbishing the entire organization is therefore not a very wise idea for a party that believes it will form the next government of KE. There are certain bodies that should not be politicized, & the NSIS is one of them. Granted its current head may be a PNU sympathizer but that is little excuse to defecate on the NSIS in toto. At the end of the day it leaves the ODM looking very much like its current nemesis, one Miguna Miguna, who is of the mistaken opinion that all good emanates from him & everyone else is rubbish, an idiot or both. Come on ODM, style up. This "sky is falling on our heads" refrain gets stale after a while. PS: I guess we have been warned that any stone thrown at Miguna will be the handiwork of the NSIS agents. The easiest tactic would've been to call for the residents of Kisumu city to boycott the book burning signing altogether & thereby give Miguna no "oxygen" or to bluntly tell him Okondo style that he is not welcome in Kisumu at all.

The statement above doesn’t quite look like it is sanctioned by Nyong’o who I believe can be smarter than that. Dubbing Miguna’s visit as ‘sinister’ is akin to inciting the stone-throwing-prone kisumu youths to lynch miguna before be sets foot there. And as b6k say, it is absolutely not necessary to get NSIS in this sort of propaganda- very reckless particurly if there is no evidence to support it.
Another half-truth: surely I haven’t heard miguna say he’s on a mission to ‘vilify’ the PM as purported here. Clearly he said he is out to promote his book and if the book is a dead duck as someone wants us to believe why not leave miguna alone to hawk his merchandise?

The NSIS, and its predecessors have been used for political purposes for a long time. We know that for a fact. NSIS officers themselves will tell you. So it is irresponsible to dismiss ODM's statement. There are a million political schemes by the NSIS that anyone with the right connections can easily find out. Do your own sleuthing. The correct reaction is to ask where ODM's information comes from.
But let me stick to one recent examples: not long ago, the NSIS interrupted the Government Printer in an attempt to alter the constitution in very significant ways. That was caught, causing public outcry. We know what became of the subsequent investigation. Several other things were not caught.
It is important that the intelligence services are apolitical and patriotic. It was a mistake to re-appoint Maj-Gen Michael Gichangi without proper vetting, especially given his role in PEV.

RR, I actually agree with you on all counts. Where I part ways is the tendency by ODM to rubbish an entire organization for the acts of a few. I suspect even Miguna's previous popularity with ODM supporters was precisely because he would "man up"& stick to the forces of impunity direct, & not whinge & whine, as the high-brow Nyong'o & co at Orange House do, about how they are being trodden upon by the nefarious NSIS. Agreed the few may have the upper-hand, for now, but nothing is ever static. We must appreciate that even the NSIS is made up of Kenyans, & some will have the usual prejudices that many Kenyans have. That said, I agree with you that going forward the NSIS should be an apolitical organization with the sole aim of protecting & serving the Kenyan nation, not a narrow segment of it.

It did not last long, did it? In Nakuru a short while ago, Miguna is heckled by members of the public at the start of his promotional tour. After the heckling and questioning about his double standards on ICC, Miguna pleads with public in Nakuru to be patient and await the Hague trials to start since he may just be a witness there; and that those accusing him of insincerity on the ICC matter should wait for the trials to start since no one knows who ICC witnesses are.

Nakuru queries prove too much for Miguna Thursday, 23 August 2012 00:06 BY MORAA OBIRIA
MIGUNA Miguna, the former Prime Minister adviser, yesterday left Nakuru residents unhappy after he avoided to answer their questions over his controversial book, Peeling Back the Mask .
A handful of curious residents, who had attended a function to popularise the book at the Standard Bank yard, demanded to know why has written about the post-election violence and yet he has tendered the information at the International Criminal Court.
However,he defended himself saying : “International Criminal Court is dealing with the post-election issue and I am not a witness for the ICC. In any case ICC is not running after me.” However, the residents accused him of dodging questions.
He was also put on the spot on why he did not give the information he claims to have on the chaos to the Waki Commission. “Some people were giving the information in camera, just because you did not see me, does not mean that I did not give the testimony,” Miguna defended himself. Later, he refused to take any further questions although many residents still had a lot to ask him . Guarded by strongmen, Miguna walked away as unsatisfied residents heckled him.
While addressing the crowd, Miguna claimed that he wrote the book to expose impunity in the coalition government. He said since Independence leaders have been looting public resources, perpetuating corruption and tribalism.
It was time for the country to be aware of how the government operates, he said. “I want the people to know, laugh, and spit against the culture of impunity in this country and say no to it.I say, we must peel back the mask,” Miguna said. He said he has "overachieved" his objective with the book .
“ I wanted people to be angry and they are. I wanted them to lose sleep and they have.I wanted them to to turn left and right and they have,” asserted Miguna.
He dared anybody offended by his book to sue him saying he could not be intimidated or shaken by anybody. “All these buggers going around talking can dare sue me. When I left they were talking but now they are silent,” claimed Miguna.
A couple of people bought his book at Sh 3,200 including the Nakuru West parliamentary aspirant, Samwel Arama and Kaptembwa civic leader John Maina. He autographed every copy that was sold.

Hehehe, "a couple of people bought his book"? Sounds like Miguna is in for a rough ride in his 47 county tour. I for one would suspect that some of these hecklers are planted by none other than ODM to make sure that Miguna "stews (sic) in his own fat" as he once infamously said when he used to be on the dishing end of propaganda. He should expect no soft-balls from the ODM crew & they will make his life a living hell. We can see what Phil believes today about Miguna, but let's go back to July 2011 to see what he thought of Miguna then: "I have to salute Miguna as a true patriot and also as steadfast ODM stalwart.
What Miguna has been doing over the last few years is actually the work of the party secretariat which has totally failed in its mandate to propagate policy and to defend the party ideals. Prof Anyang Nyongo and his team at Orange House have been a liability to ODM and I am glad people like Miguna are around to set the record straight whenever status-quoists come out with their lies!
On this piece, I can predict almost certainly no one will come out and counter Miguna's with the facts he has so clearly articulated. I am so used to it now and I am sure most Kenyans who read newspapers are also appreciating the education Miguna provides in matters of law. Thank you."jukwaa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=5613Back in the day, Phil, R911 & others were fawning over Miguna's tripe. Adongo used to post his articles & there was never a charge that Adongo was Miguna's PA as you here about OO today (personally I believe both are or were at one time). How times change ;D

TNK, you're right. As you can see on that link Mwalimumkuu had made a contribution. Phil actually it's not hijacking a thread but "keeping them honest" a la A360 mode. When Miguna was, in your own words, "doing the ODM secretariats work" he was the flavour of the month. Now that he is against ODM he is obviously 9to you) doing someone else's bidding. The inference is Miguna is a professional attack dog & can only attack as per the beck & call of a master be it ODM or G-7....Raila or Uk, nést pas? If the ODM can allege that NSIS is embeded in Miguna's entourage, then can't it be equally alleged that those heckling Miguna are ODM implants? This was not a diversion from the thread but addressing the very heart of it. Allegations & counter-allegations. Rumours against rumours. How do you like them apples? ;D

b6kYou notice that the events in Nakuru on Miguna's promotional tour are actually a news story from the Star and not my own view. Does that have anything to do with what Phil said in the past? If you want to keep it honest, and have something you think is worthy of debate in Jukwaa, then it hurts no one to start a thread on it. Your comments above have nothing to do with 'Miguna's County Book Tour'. You want to personalise it to discuss Phil's past comments. This is irrelevant and reeks of dishonesty. Our political world is not static. If I praise Raila in 2012, it does not mean I will not criticize Raila in 2013 and vice versa. Please spare us the side shows.

A general observation.
Miguna's poor (actually NIL) grasp of Kiswahili language will work against him in his disguised political campaign. I watched him walk away in frustration in Nakuru yesterday after being bombarded by questions in Swahili from the public. His response was brief and in court room English. This is so much unlike many articles he contributes to media or when he is being urged on by Jeff Koinange on K-24.

An admission of the highlighted is all I ever ask for ;D
