FolksExactly what we predicted. www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/-/1064/815364/-/wu86tvz/-/index.htmlThese ruto juveniles grabbed more than they can chew leave a lone swallow. Yesterday they were going for a vote on no confidence. Nothing doing. Now they want to go back to the Leader of Government Business. What a bunch of idiots. Who cares about the LGB? The country has been doing without one now for a while and it makes absolutely no difference. And was it not William Ruto who went tp the PM's office to insist that he writes a letter to the Speaker and scuttle the Kibaki effort to impose a LGB. These tantrums really make Ruto look ridiculous. It is like if Raila gives me a mango the world is great, if I don't get my mango Raila is the devil. That kind of childish politics cannot go far. Ruto exploded too early on this matter. Raila does not want to kill Kalenjin peasants from the mau and others. Everybody including the rutos know that but they have to sell a political product which requires a demonization of Raila. I don't know if that product has not passed its sell by date. Who knows! Besides, the Speaker already made a ruling on the LGB. It is not a matter of votes. The Speaker ruled that according to NARA both the president and the PM have to agree on who should be the LGB. It is that simple. You need the PM's signature. That is what the law says. And guess what Raila and Kibaki can decide on that on their own. Only the two can make that decisions. Ruto should restrict himself to fund raising to buy land from his fellow thieves. There are not other alternatives. Here is the rapid retreat. We told them to bring it on. Still waiting. AO It sad that ruto is self destructing like this, I still love him though.
But this is funny apparently these idiots dont even go thro' the documents detailing how NARA or the Leader of Govt Business issues were resolved. They are desperately trying to grab at straws for life support.
The public is seen to be on the PM side, even the PNU mouth organ says
They (the MPs) reached the conclusion that a no-confidence vote, at a time when the PM enjoys considerable public support over his position on the conservation of the Mau Forest, could be counter-productive.
Also the sometime sane PNU MPs see this issue as a non starter
Assistant minister Mwangi Kiunjuri and Molo MP Joseph Kiuna had opposed the no confidence plan, describing it as selfish and hypocritical.
Mr Kiuna said the motion was “hatched by land grabbers who benefited from the Mau settlements”.
Although some of my RV colleagues are now wary of R, I think that R needs NOT TO WAFFLE but press on with these issues of importance.

Those Central province MPs are just cunning people. Remember what Kiriatu Murungi did last week. He praised Raila only for him to attend the 5-million fundraiser. I would never buy anything that those MKM MPs says.

AO & PM, Well there is not much to say than this:http://dn.nationmedia.com/DN/DN/2009/12/01/ArticleHtmls/01_12_2009_002_001.shtml?Mode=1 Sorry guys this is what i intended to show: Leaders come to the defence of Premier after muted threat of censure motion `Can we stop talking and do what we promised the people? It is the work we do that will speak for itself in 2012' SAVING THE MAU Prime Minister Raila Odinga's increasingly solo voyage to save the Mau Forest Complex may have split the Cabinet right down the middle, but it got support from two of his colleagues in government yesterday. East African Community minister Amason Kingi and his Roads counterpart Franklin Bett, speaking separately, were joined by a number of MPs and civic leaders in dismissing the plan to table a censure motion against the PM, which they said would be stillborn. Speaking in South Coast, Mr Kingi said the motion's architects had been ill-advised, and asked them to drop the idea for the good of the country. Partisan interests "Time has come for leaders to know what is good for this country," Mr Kingi said at the coast. "We should stop propagating partisan interests and learn to move forward guided by the collective interests of this country." Speaking at the same venue, Malindi MP Gideon Mung'aro dismissed the censure mission as `rubbish', saying it would never see the light of the day, while his Kisauni counterpart Hassan Joho dared the planners to declare their objective in the open. Mr Joho said the motion was just `hot air' from disgruntled elements who harbour `sinister motives' against the PM. Last Wednesday, Agriculture minister William Ruto rallied 10 Cabinet colleagues and more than 50 MPs in castigating Mr Odinga at a harambee in Nairobi, where speakers also announced a new political dispensation in readiness for 2012. The future Tourism Minister Najib Balala said guests at the harambee presented the country's future, and that the fundraiser was just the beginning of their working together. But, speaking at the Tononoka Methodist Church yesterday, Galole MP Dhado Godhana criticised the politicians, saying they had taken their individual feuds to the public gallery. "If I differ with another leader, the wise thing to do is to sort out each other in an amicable way as civilised people," he said. Kaloleni MP Kazungu Kambi asked leaders to go slow on their utterances, and warned that they might be construed wrongly by their supporters and cause mayhem in the country. "It is good that we weigh what we say in public, for our words may make or break the nation," he said. Environment assistant minister Ramadhan Kajembe, speaking at the Bomu Clinic while flagging off an Anti-Aids walk, said those who had fallen out with Mr Odinga should quit the Orange Democratic Movement, and that it made no sense to remain glued to a party whose leader you had lost faith in. "It is their democratic right to move out of ODM and start their own party or join another," he said. Joining the debate in Nairobi, Roads Minister Franklin Bett said leaders should seek votes through the time-tested way of delivering their promises to Kenyans instead of seeking cheap publicity on the roadside. A lot of pledges "Can we stop talking and do what we promised the people? It is the work we do that will speak for itself in 2012," he said. "We went to the polls in 2007, before which we had made a lot of pledges to the electorate. The results of our actions will speak for us," he added. Mr Bett thanked those who contributed to the Mau evictees' harambee, and stressed that the people of Rift Valley were committed to the conservation of the environment. "If they were not, we would not have persuaded them to accept compensation and leave the forest," he said. Government chief whip George Thuo assured Mr Raila of his support, and termed the latter's strict adherence to the Cabinet-sanctioned Mau evictions as `bold'. Rally people "As leaders, we should be in the forefront in supporting the conservation of this important forest by rallying our people to agree to move out," he said. The same position was taken by a Bungoma nominated councillor, Lucas Watta, who said the threat on Mr Odinga's tenure could cause unnecessary tension. " We will continue rallying behind Mr Odinga for the good of the country," Mr Watta said at the Nation Centre in Nairobi. Laikipia East MP Mwangi Kiunjuri asked Mr Odinga not to feel intimidated. "I am ready to sacrifice my political career if that is what it will mean by standing with the Prime Minister on the Mau eviction issue," said the leader of Grand National Union party. He said the ethnic alliance of Mr Ruto, Mr Kenyatta and Mr Kalonzo amounts to trading the lives of Kenyans for political gains. "There is no way we can exchange the lives of Kenyans with tribal politics," Mr Kiunjuri said in Nanyuki town on Sunday.

Johns,
Yes I agree that the tide has turned. Kenyans are not afraid of anybody. They are not afraid of Raila Amolo Odinga. Whoever he is. They are not afraid of William Ruto. Whoever he is. Certainly the citizens are not afraid of some fellas called Isaac Ruto or Joshua Kutuny. No. Not this time. The citizens from every corner of the nation are not scared at all. Not even of Kibaki. So that is the raw material right there. That is what the nation has to work with.
But there is still a very sad element to this. This problem could have been solved much more easily and with less drama and political constipation. Nobody needs to be by a roadside. Nobody needs to be without food, water and shelter. That is what has to be solved. Let the political acrobats like the rutos take their drama somewhere else.
Passing a no confidence vote on Raila as the Prime Minister of Kenya will not take a piece of stolen soil from the Mau water towers. But may be it would message William Ruto's ego for power. Is that good enough for the country? I doubt it. And the rutos are hearing that from the citizens.
Land thieves will not seize the country. That is my sense. I could be wrong. I have been so many times.
But I feel good about this. Kenyans are sick of these crooks. We will see. They have asked for a fight. They will get one. And will not be only from Raila. The country is uniquely ready for this, now more than ever before. The nation is ready for this. That is my sense.
The chains will move one more time. Nobody can stop that. Not even the rutos. They will have to live with it. That is their problem. The country will do what it has to do.

Folks,
This thing has taken a twist and the tide is now against Ruto et al. but let me assure you it is just warming - mambo bado! They obviously took up a fight they never intended to finish.
The KK or KKK alliance, whatever # of K's, is becoming synonymous with K for KANU, basically an alliance for Nyayo land and tumbo interests.
Mambo bado - and by the way I'm strictly talking about Mau - nothing to do with Ocampo.
The climax of the Mau conservation is not even in sight yet, but the most interesting part is coming soon.
It will climax when the executhieves will be evicted from their illegally acquired holdings, under the terms of the Mau Task force - which explicitly recommends NO COMPENSATION for large scale owners who irregularly acquired forest land.
When this burgeoisie class of the Nyayo era will be ferrying out (by air & trucks) their expensive possessions out of the forest, you can guarantee Kenyans will rally enmasse behind the Mau Task Force for a job well done.
And when the KANU grabbers will demand compensation, as Hosea Kiplagat has already started, (brandishing hundreds of millions in development bill), expect Kenyan taxpayers to yet again rally against use of their hard earned money to compensate the Kiplagats, Zakayo Cheruiyots , Mois, Betts and Rutos, in amounts running tens of billions for land they illegally grabbed from State forests.
I can guarantee that you will hear the voice of Kenyans.
Secondly, let me tell you a tale about roadside campings that Ruto et al., are aping.
Squatters evicted by Moi from Mt. Kenya forest in the 80s and early 90s decided to camp by the side of the major Sagana road, so they would always be in full glare of Mt. Kenya burgeoisie driving by that road. The clever aim was to evoke sympathy.
Using cartons, plastics, bamboos, and few mabatis, the squatters made a makeshift camp-cum-slum by the road, called Muoroto and their elite brothers and sisters driving by them would shed tears and curse the government of Moi.
That was a smart political statement.
It took Kibaki's wife Lucy, as First-lady (a decade later), to clean the Sagana roadside, and move the squatters to Solio ranch, which the government purchased for the squatters (that exercise was however dodged by claims of fresh land grabbing by Nyeri district MPs overseeeing it - a story that mainstream media has generally hushed).
Ruto et al quickly figured out that they could immediately politicize the Mau conservation process, by replicating the Muoroto roadside statement.
This time, the wrath and anger is being laser directed by William Ruto (who sat in both the cabinet and parliament that passed the resolutions for evictions) at one Raila Odinga. His claim is that Raila (& not government) has 'kicked out' (no voluntary relocations) 'his people' (& not any other person's) to the roadside.
Ruto is painting unto these poor squatters that their real enemy is one Raila Odinga, and not the land grabbers responsible for their encroachment of the forest in the first place.
In their misguided calculation, these South Rift MPs assumed that raising furore against Raila would stop the Mau conservation process which was fast approaching their executive estates within the forest.
It is not happening. The Tinga is approaching straight into their Estates.
That will be a milestone against impunity in Kenya. The elite would have been touched for the first time, and if the government succeeds in blocking taxpayer funds being used to compensate these burgeoisie class, then people will count on change they can start giving hope in.
The journey has just started.
Add the land reform policy debate to the mix, then you can understand why KANU is regrouping very fast. KANU landowners across party line have panicked and started regrouping to resist reforms such as taxation of idle land.
The Kenyattas, the Mois, Mutulas, Rutos, Cheruiyots, Karumes, Biwotts, and of course Arab custodians of the so called Sultan's 10 mile strip at the Coast, are regrouping right in front of our eyes, pretending in deceptive fashion, to be the reinvented 'future' of Kenya.
Grapevine sources also intimate that old and new KANU conservatives have panicked so much regarding land reforms, they have dispatched one of their blue-eyed boys, Kalonzo Musyoka, to run with alarm bells to their British allies currently in the opposition (Conservative party), scaring them that Orengo's land draft policy would ultimately kick out remaining British settlers who still own big commercial farming interests in Kenya.
I can tell you that this alliance of K (to the nth power) is setting itself nicely on the wrong side of Kenya's history. Watch the blitzkrieg that follows. It looks pretty clear now that reformists are ridding themselves excess baggage.
I want the PM to use his influence to remedy the humanitarian position of the evacuees, and if possible, redress their fundamental land problem, in the context of the draft land reform policy, so as to shame these pretender champions. I know the battle will be tough in parliament because Rift Valley land elites will share solidarity with their equally land-greedy colleagues from Central.

We said it right here. We have made it known that the Ku klux klan (KKK) would be defeated not by RAO but by what Miguna Miguna used to call the Majestic People of Kenya (MPK). It happening and sooner or later the noise makers will be taught a lesson or two.
They cant keep on using poor people for political benefit. Hiring proffessional roadside campers will not and cannot make one a good leader. Hata people of RVP are getting tired of the circus. As for RAO i urge him to continue woeking as per his mandate.

JOb R has a knack of being on the right side of history in each and every occasion that merited a choice. His heart is in the right place. I am glad he has taken this position in the interest on the Nation and not a narrow band of mega rich land grabbing thugs.
Your very incisive analysis seems to be very informed and if it indeed passes, this will begin the dawn of the age of meritocracy, accountability (to some degree) and proper governance. It now explains the Najib angle perfectly, esp his bellicose nature against R and his on and off relationship with ODM and R.
The UK- Judas KM angle is worrisome only to the point that the Conservatives seemed poised to win over Labour, and PM Brown and R are on very good terms. I don't trust the cute boy who heads the conservatives and is literally the PM in waiting. Judas KM is once again trying to be too cute by a half, thinking that should he deliver for the land mafia, he would front for them come 2012. Hajui!!!.
Mzee, heads will explode when the Honorable MMs name is brought up here, did you just see that one go 'thwack!!!" ha ha a ha

PM et al.,First, like already alluded, Ruto started a battle he never planned completely through - he never designed how to finish it. At the backdrop, he never really intended to solve the problem of the Mau evictees, it was all about politics and him. Well, he has now struck political friendship with Kenyatta, but what has the ordinary Kale gained? Only minefields ahead, if you ask me. Political pacts with the biggest land holders in Rift Valley do not guarantee any hope for the peasantry of Rift Valley. It is a path once beaten by Moi and Jomo Kenyatta, which led to the dispossession and disenfranchisement of the ordinary Kale. As the dust settles, as Ruto comes to the realization that ODM and Raila still enjoy support from ordinary people transcending all corners of the Republic, now what? Forget about MPs whose dream is to stop Raila before he gets to their grabbed forest lands. What about the ordinary people? After all this circus show, Ruto needs to come back to reality and contextualize the path ahead of him with clear focus of priorities - -the numerous court cases (corruption related) against him -his challenge to expunge his name from KNHRC report on PEV -cleaning his recent streak of flip-flopping on most national issues -planning on how to deal with Ocampo should his investigators come calling -impending evictions of the bourgeoisie in Mau -debate on land reforms -debate on constitution reforms encompassing devolution ...etc I would think Ruto would want to choose not only his battles, but allies (aka alliances) more cautiously. He has showed that he's still a political novice, albeit daring and cantankerous. www.capitalfm.co.ke/news/Kenyanews/Ruto-opposes-censure-of-Kenya-PM-6693.htmlAs for his alliance buddy Kalonzo Musyoka, his sojourn in the UK was clearly to meet the Tories (Conservatives) whose prospects in the next elections look better than previous times. The trip has strong undertones of the growing opposition towards Kenya's push on land reforms. capitalfm.co.ke/news/Kenyanews/Coalition-here-to-stay,-says-Kenyan-VP-6683.html The Land reform problem will get trickier for Raila and ODM who've been enjoying relatively cordial relations with Britain. As sections of the media begin highlighting the land interests of Unilever and other British owned Estates earmarked for repossession, it is easy for Musyoka to alarm the Brits in a bid to scuttle this whole land reform push. Knowing what happened to Mugabe, this subject is dicey. Kenya is ripe for change and these forces KEEP pushing us back.

Funny how Ruto has quickly read the mood and tide turning against him. News stream has it that he has "condemned any censure/no confidence motion against Raila in parliament"What a fuss!! As if he wasn't the brains behind this scheme at all. Come on Samoei, don't be such a coward, u r a 'kalenjin warrior' after all -take it the full distance and let the chips fall where they may.
In this Raila Ruto beef, one thing I have admired about Raila is the solidity and consistency of his position, which only comes with longevity in politics. The contrast with the recklessness and fuzziness of the Kanu boys is clearer than even crystal

I would like to go back to your earlier point.
This is what I am talking about?
"I want the PM to use his influence to remedy the humanitarian position of the evacuees, and if possible, redress their fundamental land problem, in the context of the draft land reform policy, so as to shame these pretender champions. I know the battle will be tough in parliament because Rift Valley land elites will share solidarity with their equally land-greedy colleagues from Central".
I think by now it is obvious Ruto's mini war of replacing Raila with himself is over. He tried to regroup the moi forces and land grabbers and to tell the nation how beautiful they looked. The country looked back in shock. The Kenyan people can't fathom their audacity of arrogance. It was like they were telling Kenyans; look at us. We have money, we have land and we stole it all from you and there is not a damn thing you can do about it. Really? My goodness. It is one thing to rob the citizens, but telling them it is your right to do so is not a very smart idea if you are a land thief. You see the trouble is you cannot hide stolen land in a Swiss Bank. It sticks out like a sour thump as desperate landless citizens camp in roadsides and you raise money to keep them from the land you stole.
Kenyans have been outraged by the nonsense from the rutos and the uhurus power gig. Now they are all back tracking to regroup again for another fight. We will be there when they come up again. No problem.
But like I always say, there is no sense in beating folk who is already down. In this war ruto has lost big time. This is like the tenth time he declared war on Raila since NARA was signed. Every time Raila refused to engage him. Finally there was no choice. That is done.
What I want to say is that as you suggested this is the time for the PM to really deal with the humanitarian situation in the mau. I don't know what happened to the profiling of those leaving. I am hoping the Secretariat and its staff including folks on the ground are at work everyday. They don't have the luxury to watch the political theatrics. They have a job to do and that is to help the peasants of mau move on with their lives despite live shows going on.
By the way did ruto and uhuru hand over the money they raised to the Secretariat to help the evictees. May be not. I think they are working on a big road show to deliver maize and beans. If only they could deliver land. I am talking about the ones they have grabbed. We will see about that.
My point here is that the Prime Minister's team should take this break from the drama to do the real heavy lifting to get things solved. I know the PM is out there trying to get money and stand up for the country but we also need to micro focus on this mau thing. It is very important. The folks of mau must know they have a friend in their Prime Minister. I don't care who they voted for or who they will vote for in future. That is their democratic choice.
Let's get this work going and please Mr. Prime Minister bring some money. I am not kidding. The government has promised to compensate people with legit title deeds. Where is the money. Forget the big land grabbers like the Cheruiyots, they are going home empty handed. Kenyans will go crazy if these guys are compensated. Good thing they claim they don't even own land in the mau. So just take the land. Let them go to court.
I want to emphasize to the PM and his team. Forget Ruto. He had his day in the sun and it burnt his face due to over exposure. Just go back to solving the humanitarian problems at the mau and deal with the resettlement. That is very important.
And job, you raise the elephant in the house. The land debate is coming up. This is the best time to bring it to the floor of the house. It is going to be tough, it is going to be bloody. Worse than advertised. But now more than ever the nation can have this debate. I like my Kenyan folks. They have the politicians right where they want them. Keep it moving.

Get the popcorn out guys and gals!
The twists and turns in this saga are amazing with one constant - Rs stand on the issue and his sagacity. Kudos to R for showing the excellent temperament and maturity and Statesmanship, despite threats, tantrums, and bellicosity ya kina ruto - whom I still like, et al. I hope he reforms, . Ruto has a role to play and I hope it will be a positive one.
One has to give mucho props to R He is trying to effect change with one hand tied behind his back, i.e he has "a big Office" but without powers, and he is wearing a blindfold too, for you dont know what the sloth ape othayian nyerian is doing behind Rs back. He is also facing an open mutiny with swords drawn out!
What a man! Pray for him and the Nation aisee!

look what has become of the panafrica group.
they have scattered to the four corners of the wind.
after the fund raiser, those waziris that ruto had paraded at the harambee started 'clarifying' their msimamo, one by one. from shabaan, kilonzo to elmi and even bett.....who beat anot surprising retreat going as far as reminding the media that views expressed by ruto and his lapdogs are not representative of rift valleys least of all his.
but it was too late because the media was already in a frenzy about agwambo's pending ouster in bunge thanks to the yelps of rutos lapdogs.
meanwhile jirongo was laying the table for uhuru, ruto and kalonzo in lugari for some mau like harambee hoping to set stage for the killer punch on agwambo.again ruto, uhuru and kalonzo were no show.only ruto's lapdogs showed up and their yelp did more harm than good in ingo land.
what started as rants turned to ultimatums and degenerated to attack on the person of raila and lobby for his ouster. listening to william the ruto today,i could tell that he had lost his voice and the political campaign mode was taking a heavy toll on him.
meanwhile uhuru has taken cover, musyoka is out of town, balala is adrift and kina bets are washing their hands.
did i hear someone say kofi?

Bahati yao, Kenyans are larger than what Adongo calls Executhieves. I found it absolutely insolent for juvenile RV MPs Kutuny and company to go to Western Province, insult Mudavadi and on the same breath insinuate that they have seats to dish around.
The Kalenjin people are thirsty for inclusive alliances, not tribal clubs. We are thrilled that the Kalenjin elite refused to be conscripted into this grouping of economic saboteurs. This is no doubt because the biggest loser is not the Ruto's and Kenyatta's but the families whose fate could have been handled better had Ruto and Co decided to sit with the two principals (rather than playing one against the other).
A good leader does not go to the streets yapping when it is plausible, and feasible, to engage the prime decision-makers. But again, like all other tribal chiefs like Nyachae, Kombo, Mwakwere and Karume, Ruto will keep diminishing until nothing can be heard of him except his trips to court.

In Western they distrust and dsilike him kabisa for liasing with sherongo and his smarmy ilk, and plotting against mudamba jnr. I am not a mudamba fan per se, but ruto did a lot of damage to himself when he started feuding with the quiet son of mululu. Despite his warming to jomo jnr, the kyuks hate his guts, and I would advise him not to go vote hunting in my neighbors province either. They will tell him off openly, as they are wont to do. I dont think he has any coattails ya maana left, but he still is a useful political agitator, provided he rebuilds his image and squares off all tose legal issues and lok out for his constituency. He is very talented.

It did not turn out that way. These guys are bloody idiots. You cant based articles of a Motion of no confidence on the basis that "we are dissatisfied!" How gullible do these guys take us for? Kwani they havent learnt from the mt kenya mafia's mistakes of taking wenye nchi for granted can get you burned? Now R has started public rallies, to explain polices kinaganaga. he had a huge one in Kamkunji. Where is that pic of R addressing the rally in Nbi? I cant find it, its some where here on this blog on a thread. Next he moves to Balala's back yard = Tononoka - the same grounds that launched TJM career! Wacheze tuu! Pumbaff I am told he will go back to the hornets nest with a solution to Mau in the coming weeks.

As i had indicated earlier,Raila had to stop being on the defensive side but go on the offensive on the Rutos and uhuru,it had reached a point where a picture was being drawn of a inhuman, dictator Raila, who was persecuting poor kenyans, who had voted overwhelming for him,the media pictures of women, old people on the road side, sleeping in the cold was not helping Raila,he had to remember he might be the PM of kenya but foremost he is a politician and once in a while he should put on his trademark cap and hit the dust, the common mwananchi needs to see the common man in him, thats the biggest asset he has compared to the crooks Rutos and uhurus who have never stood against injustices committed by Moi,Kenyatta or Kibaki. Balala knows with joho on the scene he has no chance at the coast, its all about the natives, balala has the face of the absentee landlords, the Giriamas, the Digos, the migikenda community feels short changed on the issue of education, land and balala has not played any major role in helping the natives who the majority are squatters,Balala,Ruto, uhuru, kalonzo have one thing in common,NO SPINE.

Some of the land will be unclaimed as the thieves get exposed. Now whose land is this? Moi's? May be. But right now the government can take it back with no problem.

It has been quite 2 weeks of spectacle, and lost in all this is the katiba that needs to be commented on and debated. Might it be that the Panafric group was testing the water before they declare their stances. Its long since I saw that many politicians beating hasty retreats individually and collectively.

HAhahha!!! well we have always stated here in Jukwaa that thieves and land grabbers in Kenya .. their days are numbered, who can stop Tsunami it is only God Almighty, and If God is on our side who shall come against us.
It is quite interesting how the RV land grabbers are hitting the wall in an alarming speed. Mheshimiwa Charles Njonjo said it but the rutos, uhurus, kalossers balalas are so quick to forget. Sir Charles Njonjo said that is immediately after the 2005 referendum, at Uhuru park, this man RAO has political strategies which are 20 years ahead of all Kenyan politicians. Now I can even cement my beliefe on this statement. Look the way Samoei is crumbling down so fast
Kenyans are also too awaken that cheap politics of the 80's and 90's will not hold any waters
But I am delighted because the Great People of Kenya are not sleeping any more wakenya msilale bado mapambano

Pablo. You hit the nail on the head.
We always keep hearing Raila use the term "tsunami" I think it implies that the political minds of kenyans has changed drastically. A lot of kenyans are well informed of whats happening in their country.
Historians in future will probably name this period the post 07 paradigm and write on how the political thinking in the country took a different shift towards rationality ( trying to look for a better word). It is (in my opinion) the public mood and pressure even from their own constituents that made those politicians beat a hasty retreat .
Well, some politicians like Raila are way ahead of the pack by realising this very early but some are still caught in the past. Thinking that wananchi will always follow their word like blind sheep.
