How is Martha supposed to rescue Kenya? when she is part of the problem that Kenya finds itself in today!!
Until she explains to Kenyans why she stood up for rigged elections to keep her mentor in power? why she assisted Kibaki to be sworn in at night like a thief!! and if she can acknowledge that her actions in 2007-2008 endangered Kenyans life's and brought about the clashes where many innocent Kenyans lost their life's. Martha should start by asking forgiveness from Kenyans.. first & foremost, while at the same time telling Kenyans the truth of what transpired during and after the 2007 elections.. she was Kibaki's front-line Iron lady I recall... quitting her ministerial position was not enough to change Kenyans Views about her..
There are other women out their in Kenya who are more suited for the presidency than Martha Karua without tinted history
Martha Karua was the first brave person in parliament to call the killings being done by ODM as Genocide thus setting the stage for ICC.

LETS NOT FORGET MARTHA KARUA'S HISTORY TO DATE!2003 to March 2009Karua is still a prominent national politician. Until April 6, 2009 she was the Minister of Justice, National Cohesion & Constitutional Affairs. She also previously served as Minister of Water Resources Management & Development, and was behind the implementation of the Water Act 2002, which has since then accelerated the pace of water reforms and service provision in Kenya. Karua remained Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister in the Cabinet appointed by Kibaki on January 8, 2008, following the controversial December 2007 election. In an interview with BBC's HARDtalk in January 2008, Karua said, regarding the violent crisis that had developed over the election results, that while the government had anticipated that the opposition Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) of Raila Odinga might be "planning mayhem if they lost", it was surprised by "the magnitude" of it, calling the violence "ethnic cleansing". Asked to clarify, Karua said that she was stating "categorically" that the ODM planned ethnic cleansing. Odinga subsequently called Karua's accusation "outrageous".[6] Karua headed the government's team in negotiations with the opposition regarding the political dispute that resulted from the election.[7] The political crisis eventually led to the signing of a power-sharing agreement between Kibaki and Odinga. In the grand coalition Cabinet that was announced on April 13, 2008, Karua remained in her post as Minister of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs.[8] She was endorsed as the national chairperson of the NARC-Kenya political party on November 15, 2008. There was virtually no competitive election during the party’s national delegates’ convention at the Bomas of Kenya in Nairobi as all the officials including Ms Karua were being endorsed. After her endorsement she immediately declared she would be gunning for the highest political seat in the Kenya's 2012 elections.
Martha Karua resigned as Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs on April 6, 2009, citing frustrations in discharging her duties. A clear example of her frustrations was when President Mwai Kibaki appointed Judges without her knowledge a few days before her resignation.[10] She was the first Minister to resign voluntarily since 2003. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martha_Karua

@reporter911
Mr. Reporter as much as I appreciate you and your comments this is what you wrote just afew days ago in the thread Impunity has won.
It's better the devil you know than the Angel you don't.
Ofcourse Martha Karua has alot to explain to all of us as to the events that led to coup de tat in 2007/08.
But I think she has come to realize that what transpired was not in the best interests of Kenya as a whole and for her in particular. That I see is a form of evolution.
Mr. reporter we all make mistakes. The difference is , who is willing to acknowledge , improve and move own and who is not.
From all the presidential hopefuls ( Ruto et al) I would rather have Rao lead me and if not , then I'd prefer Martha than Kaloozer, Ruto, or JJ; Jomo jnr.

Nok yes I posted that 100% applauding her for standing firm on the issue of ICC, but that does not excuse all the damages she caused the country during the 2007-2008 election period, which is still spilling out today. Like I indicated in order for Martha Karua to ask Kenyans for votes, she has to come clean regarding what transpired during the 2007-2008 elections and clashes, how else can Kenyan believe she is genuine? forgiveness begins when one admits to wrong doing... To date I have not yet heard Martha Karua coming clean or explaining to Kenyans on why she was the spokes woman for Kibaki and his regime when Kenya was burning! does she sincerely expect Kenyans to turn a blind eye to what they all witnessed? I don't think so.. if she is gunning for the presidency then she has to come out clear.. even those heading for Hague are going to speak out and blame others I won't be surprised if her name is mentioned at the HAGUE. mark my words on that.. Second Chances and forgiveness are given to those who acknowledge their mistakes and seek forgiveness.

"You shall know them by their fruits."
Some have more rotten fruits in their baskets and its leaking all over. Some have a few rotten fruits but have the mind to buy plastic bags with which they wrap their rottenness in hope to save themselves. Others are so rotten that the baskets with which they carry their fruits are also rotten. they are beyond help. We just have to pick the least rotten.
Martha Karua does have some explanations and forgiveness required but we should not dismiss her yet. If she has ideas for building the nation, she should bring them forward and show the people that she can lead. but if we go by what happened at KICC 3 years ago, I am afraid for her.
I also hope we can also look at Peter Kenneth. So far, I don't smell any rottenness or hear anything bad about the guy. He is also touted a potential president so we better look at his record. But that discussion is for later .

If she didn't fight so bullishly, for a man who has now jilted her, Raila may have been president, and Ruto would have been happy. Martha akwende huko kabisa. Notwithstanding, I only need her for purposes of curtailing, clipping and reducing the powers of some who think "they are Tosha" in her/our backyard. And some call me tribalist! This time I will be voting a Luhya or a Coastarian.

OPEN LETTER TO MARTHA KARUA.
Dear Martha, I know you candidates have prowlers monitoring new-media to have an idea of the cyber-pulse in so far as it goes. Therefore I will pen this here, knowing it will reach you, though I had wanted to put it in the Star.
Martha, the presidency is not yet a done race. That means there are some things you can do to win it. I am going to give you some stellar advice, that is if your candidature is not merely a bhargaining ploy. Do you want to beat Raila and Kalonzo's KKK?
The biggest mistake you have made so far in your career was to come out so stalwartly in defence of a rigged election. It is an image which has been fiercely branded in national conciousness, and earned you tremendous hate in certain sectors. Yet it proved one thing to me: you had enough ruthless ambition, enough to negate your powerful intellect and reduce you into a gut gutter demagogue. In certain political dispensations, such single minded ambition is a better asset than rocket science brains. How do you think P2 Moi managed to control Phds like Saitoti, Sally Kosgei and even the super-clever Makerere don Kibaki like dogs for 20 years? The services of intellect can be hired at a dime, like Kibaki hired yours, but the gut-drive has to be authentic. One can not borrow the passions of another to run for political office with them. Rhetoric yes, passion no. You are unique to me because you have both intellect and [dormant] drive, and financial gain has not been your achilles heel. You are not a thief like the rest.
So, 1. A equivocal apology to the nation for the defence of Kibaki's coup. A speech which digs deep into your soul like Obama's on the reverend Wright and on being black [in the USA]. 2. A position paper on economics: a. three things which must be done in 5 years to manage youth unemployment. This is tough. b. the power balance between Investment capital and kenyan labour. Visit Naivasha flower farms to have an idea of the basic contradictions. c. Get a chief economist [like mwatela etc] to wade through the econometrics of state finance] and give Kenyans correct figures lost since records began. And pledge to recover them pronto. This is a declaration of war on the Kenyan elite. You wont be president unless you take on them on behalf of the electorate.
With the money, you will build mass urban housing, eg flats in Kibera [the pool of dung where Raila's luos swim], upgrade the Ofafas, and recondition schools in poor slum areas, which actually are not schools at all. Do sewage and light rail in the urban areas.
3. You will call the army to order. Abusing the chief of staff for buying those planes from Jordan which wananchi call chura [frogs] . They can't fly in one peace. And promise to fire the joint chiefs for failing to protect Migingo. Every inch of Kenyan soil is holy to you, even if inhabited by those fish-monger stone throwers!
Martha, hit the campaign trail where you can see the rot. Go to the prostitute dens of Majengo; go to Pumwani maternity and see delivered women sleeping by shift on plastic sacks. Go to Kodiaga jail in Nyanza and see female inmates living with their children in the jail, and hear the horror tales of juvenile [sexual] abuse. Visit Mathare mental hospital and stare at the faces of Kenyans forgotten by civilisation. Visit Anyang' Nyong'o's shame aka New Nyanza General Hospital and see the aids wards where patients literally rot in dung, abandoned by family and medical staff. Emmerse yourself into the horrible problems of the country you want to lead, so that you can tap a bottomless well of inspiration, bordering on messianic zeal. If you can not become a champion of the wretched of Kenya, you wont be president.
I was a kid when I saw my grandmothers drop jembes on the farm and the whole countryside flood to Homabay to catch MV Kamongo to Kisumu. JM Kariuki was coming! You never heard them say who wants to listen to a Kikuyu! Dear Martha, JM would have won the presidency on fair footing. If you pick the batton he dropped down when Kenyatta senior killed him, O daughter of Mumbi, you will be matyred, or become a great president of the republic.
It is decision time.

Well CAn she avail herself for interrogation by the Press and bloggers? I have some questions she need to clarify as far as the last elections were concerned
What went on in KICC? What happened to the return officers cell phones? Why were the votes from Central the last to appear? What did she know about Ali/Muthaura axis and PEV? Why did she not have anything done in so far as corruption is concerned? Is her personal life in order or can someone blackmail her with racy photos/texts/ etc?

Why did she not have anything done in so far as corruption is concerned? Is her personal life in order or can someone blackmail her with racy photos/texts/ etc? O Martha dear, I have just been reading that cheeky american Bellamy on Wikileaks. You really were far gone baby! you were totally fxxxd up as the yankees say. In Luoland we would say: ikawo wiyi isoyo e bwoyi That is, you took your brains and inserted them where the body usually stores excreaments. But this, if we are to continue with our dialogue of yesterday, just goes on to show how deep you have to kneel in the purgatory of national conciousness. Jukwaa's PM has some issues up there for you. Take him seriously. You know what they did to Ester Pessaris. I am convinced 'they' have erotic tapes on you; just like whether you knew it or not, they had those tapes where Koffi Annan was making out with his swedish wife. But who can use that against you? Uhuru has worse tapes from his days in the USA. Raila, Kalonzo or Ruto? If they open the blackmail angle, it will be a pandora'x box for themselves. Go for the genuine aspirations of Kenyans which have never been adressed since Independence. I wanted to bring you down to this. Tomorrow 29 february marks the 42nd death anniversary of the death/murder of CMG Argwings Kodhek. The Meru people awarded him several fair damsels [that was a way of crowning him a chief or an elder like so many hopefuls now pay for]. Why Martha, why did these mount Kenya folks bestow such a honour upon an uncircumcised fish-eater? Find out Martha. So there we go dear; the other side of being a genuine candidate for the people, is death. Make the decision in your heart as to whether you got it or not.

This woman has some 'balls' (no pun intended).... ;D Karua rejects Uhuru’s ‘community leader’ tag Ms Karua said that the idea of going for a nomination to have one presidential candidate was backed by leaders who were out to serve selfish political interests. By ERIC WAINAINA and GEORGE MUNENE Posted Sunday, March 6 2011 at 20:32 Gichugu MP Martha Karua has rubbished suggestions that Finance minister Uhuru Kenyatta should be the leader of the Kikuyu community.The former Justice and Cohesion minister said such ideas were far fetched, adding that a leader should not be proposed just because he comes from a prominent family. “We are past the time of power inheritance. A leader should be elected by the people according to his capability to lead and I’m prepared to conduct my campaign through my Narc-Kenya party,” Ms Karua said.Speaking at Githunguri Stadium on Saturday, Ms Karua said that the idea of going for a nomination to have one presidential candidate was backed by leaders who were out to serve selfish political interests. The idea to have Mr Kenyatta as the leader of the community has been backed by Environment minister John Michuki and a group of other leaders. And politicians allied to the Finance minister have said that Ms Karua’s presidential ambitions will divide the votes from Kenya’s largest community in 2012. Separately, succession campaigns raged on Sunday when a former MP called on Central Kenya leaders to back Mr Kenyatta for the presidency. Mr George Nyanja challenged the leaders to unite and come up with a single presidential candidate for the 2012 General Election. Speaking at St Thomas Anglican Church Cathedral, the former Limuru MP told church leaders from the Mount Kenya region, who were holding interdenominational prayers, that Mr Kenyatta was an ideal candidate for the top job. “Mr Kenyatta is a competent leader and is capable of leading this nation when President Kibaki retires next year,” he said. He claimed there was a plot by some political leaders to advocate for Mr Kenyatta to be tried at The Hague over post-election violence so that they could have an easy ride to State House. www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/Karua+rejects+Uhuru+s++community+leader++tag+/-/1064/1120296/-/q0i4gz/-/index.html

Those questions (and others) are outlined above. That said she is making life very rough for the one born with the silver spoon in his mouth, angry, inept, land grabbing, epithet spewing, Manchurian candidate, butcher wa Naivasha, jomo jnr. I think the stupid mantra of "some people wanting to send so and so the Hague" is now laughable nonsense. Everyone now knows these mafiya butchering idiots and their RV compadres deliberately choose that option. kie kie, ;D ;D

Martha Karua remarked amid shouts of toboa! (reveal!) “What we want is someone who can unite Kenyans but not negative ethnicityBy NATION CORRESPONDENT Posted Sunday, April 24 2011 at 20:52 Narc-Kenya leader Martha Karua Sunday vowed never to give up her presidential ambition in favour of Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta. {she knows that Uhuru is a done deal and when the people will be looking for an alternate saviour she will be there}She emphasised that her journey to State House was unstoppable and told off her critics. {the race is on and time is now ripe. It is time to declare interests} “Central Kenya leaders have been criticising and telling me to step down for Mr Kenyatta but they are mistaken. My vehicle has no reverse gear,” she told hundreds of residents as she opened her party offices at Kangai, Ngurubani and Togonye trading centres in Kirinyaga County. {this only implies that the "leaders" reckon that she is a force not to be taken lightly}She said political leadership was all competition and those who could not withstand the fight over the country’s top job should quit. {the Project wishes to be declared Muthamaki. Game Ove, Martha is herer }The Gichugu MP wondered why leaders were asking her to step down yet in 2002 Mr Kenyatta opposed President Kibaki in the race for presidency but they did not ask him to step aside to give the latter an easy ride to State House. {it is because of a false hope, carry on Iron Lady}“Why do these leaders think I’m a pushover? I won’t quit the race because of a person whose father has led this nation for many years. He could as well step down so that other Kenyans could have a chance to lead,” she said. {point is they need a candidate who will continue to perpetuate impunity defeat justice and protect the corrupt}“What we want is someone who can unite Kenyans but not tribalism,” she remarked amid shouts of toboa! (reveal!). {for this you got my attention. This must be said in public over and over again}

Jukwaa should be more than wise to support this project! I repeat Jukwaa should be more than wise to support this bid.Why? One of PANUA's strategy has been to fragment ODM and Isolate RAO; e.g Splitting away the Kalenjins thru WSR, trying to wedge out Luhya-Land thru Wamalwa, the Coast thru Balala and Northeastern thru Duale. ODM can also turn the tables by applying the same medicine. So, go for the progressives in PNU Land. Why not continue Infiltrating PNU. Be preemptive and take the fight to them. Guys the nomination saga was won because ODM used intelligent tactics like writing to the UN. That caught PNU pants down. This should be one of many strategies going forward. Lets set the pace and not vice versa.
