Good people,
While the US security forces risk their own lives to eliminate the real threat to the lives of their own citizens, what do our own Kenyan security forces do?
Yes, they kill the very people they are supposed to protect. They murder the very people who enable them to earn an opulent life! They kill the witnesses of crime against humanity and still expect us to applaud them. What ever happened to the morals and patriotism of the Kenyan security brigade?!
Oh dear God, how I weep for my beloved motherland! Oh God where are Kenyan security patriots ready to die in the line of duty for their patriotic and faithful Kenyan population?
I'm not a soldier, but if our soldiers would rather fatten themselves in our barracks, I volunteer forthwith to step in their boots.
I'm so a shamed!!
God bless Kenya!

Some crucial facts you may have missed:
1. The military town where Osama was found hiding and killed is called Abbottabad. It was founded by Gen Sir James Abbott, one of the most celebrated figures of British rule in India.
2. The photos above showing Obama and his intelligence team were taken inside White House "war room" which is 5,000 Sq Ft and referred to as Situation Room. It's a conference room and intelligence management center in the basement of the West Wing of the White House. It is run by the National Security Council staff for the use of the President of the United States and his advisors (including the National Security Advisor, the Deputy for Homeland Security and the White House Chief of Staff) to monitor and deal with crises at home and abroad and to conduct secure communications with outside (often overseas) persons. The Situation Room is equipped with secure, advanced communications equipment for the President to maintain command and control of U.S. forces around the world.
3. In the photo above where Hilary Clinton is seen with her hand covering her mouth, the sensitive intelligence documents in front of her have been digitally altered to conceal sensitive information before the photos were released to the world.
4. Despite Bin Laden's heinous crimes, and the merciless slaughter of thousands, he was still given a religious funeral. In line with Islamic tradition it took place within 24 hours of his death.
Bin Laden's body was first washed and shrouded according to custom, then wrapped in a white sheet. A Muslim seaman aboard the Carl Vinson helped and made sure the body was wrapped properly. An officer then read religious remarks which were translated into Arabic by the Muslim sailor.
The body was put in a weighted bag and placed on a flat board. It was then tipped up - and the monster who had brought death and misery to the world slid into the sea and disappeared beneath the waves forever.
5. OSAMA Bin Laden was last night revealed to have been shot dead after cowering behind his youngest wife as US Navy Seals swooped on his secret mansion. The "human shield" - who was wounded herself - had given away his identity by shouting out his name.
He was blasted to death with a bullet between the eyes after two dozen of America's elite Special Forces slid 50ft down ropes from helicopters into his compound.
6. Why was he buried at sea? US officials are believed to have been anxious his final resting place did not become a shrine for Muslim fanatics. To avoid that, their intention was to bury his body at sea - leaving no definitive location for the final resting place of his body.
... If you didn't know the above facts....... now you do!

job. Great pics. Thanx. U know it's cynical. The not so pure American Commander in Chief seems to be protecting America better than the so pure former Commander in Chiefs (Bush / Clinton). Under Obama 1. There has been no terror attacks in the US or against US-Instillations other than those in Eiraq and Afghanistan. 2. And more significantly; Most wanted Osama has been liquidated. 3. The Arab world is experiencing democratization movement. 4. Anti-Americanism is at one of it's lowest levels. Wow. Looking forward to Obama's 2 nd Term.

Like the Doubting Thomas, some of my Muslim friends want proof that it was Osama who was killed. As far as they are concerned, Osama had died years ago due to kidney complications. In their argument, the US should have paraded Osama's dead body as they have previously done with other terrorists killed. Why were they in a hurry to bury him (within six hours of his killing yet they had another eighteen more to spare as per the Muslim traditions)? Gadaffi's son who had been killed much earlier by Nato air strikes was yet to be buried when Osama was allegedly burried. I am sure there could be many more of such kind of Osamamaniacs! And they appear to be in good company! www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/pakistan/8489304/Osama-bin-Laden-killed-conspiracy-theories-proliferate-in-wake-of-raid.htmlnews.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/8444069.stm

AN ANGRY PAKISTAN PRESIDENT WRITES FOR THE WASHINGTON POST OVER OSAMA BIN LADEN KILLING.Pakistan did its partBy Asif Ali Zardari (President of Pakistan) Published: May 2Pakistan, perhaps the world’s greatest victim of terrorism, joins the other targets of al-Qaeda — the people of the United States, Britain, Spain, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Turkey, Yemen, Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Algeria — in our satisfaction that the source of the greatest evil of the new millennium has been silenced, and his victims given justice. He was not anywhere we had anticipated he would be, but now he is gone. Although the events of Sunday were not a joint operation, a decade of cooperation and partnership between the United States and Pakistan led up to the elimination of Osama bin Laden as a continuing threat to the civilized world. And we in Pakistan take some satisfaction that our early assistance in identifying an al-Qaeda courier ultimately led to this day. Let us be frank. Pakistan has paid an enormous price for its stand against terrorism. More of our soldiers have died than all of NATO’s casualties combined. Two thousand police officers, as many as 30,000 innocent civilians and a generation of social progress for our people have been lost. And for me, justice against bin Laden was not just political; it was also personal, as the terrorists murdered our greatest leader, the mother of my children. Twice he tried to assassinate my wife. In 1989 he poured $50 million into a no-confidence vote to topple her first government. She said that she was bin Laden’s worst nightmare — a democratically elected, progressive, moderate, pluralistic female leader. She was right, and she paid for it with her life. Some in the U.S. press have suggested that Pakistan lacked vitality in its pursuit of terrorism, or worse yet that we were disingenuous and actually protected the terrorists we claimed to be pursuing. Such baseless speculation may make exciting cable news, but it doesn’t reflect fact. Pakistan had as much reason to despise al-Qaeda as any nation. The war on terrorism is as much Pakistan’s war as as it is America’s. And though it may have started with bin Laden, the forces of modernity and moderation remain under serious threat. My government endorses the words of President Obama and appreciates the credit he gave us Sunday night for the successful operation in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa. We also applaud and endorse the words of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that we must “press forward, bolstering our partnerships, strengthening our networks, investing in a positive vision of peace and progress, and relentlessly pursuing the murderers who target innocent people.” We have not yet won this war, but we now clearly can see the beginning of the end, and the kind of South and Central Asia that lies in our future. Only hours after bin Laden’s death, the Taliban reacted by blaming the government of Pakistan and calling for retribution against its leaders, and specifically against me as the nation’s president. We will not be intimidated. Pakistan has never been and never will be the hotbed of fanaticism that is often described by the media. Radical religious parties have never received more than 11 percent of the vote. Recent polls showed that 85 percent of our people are strongly opposed to al-Qaeda. In 2009, when the Taliban briefly took over the Swat Valley, it demonstrated to the people of Pakistan what our future would look like under its rule — repressive politics, religious fanaticism, bigotry and discrimination against girls and women, closing of schools and burning of books. Those few months did more to unite the people of Pakistan around our moderate vision of the future than anything else possibly could. A freely elected democratic government, with the support and mandate of the people, working with democracies all over the world, is determined to build a viable, economic prosperous Pakistan that is a model to the entire Islamic world on what can be accomplished in giving hope to our people and opportunity to our children. We can become everything that al-Qaeda and the Taliban most fear — a vision of a modern Islamic future. Our people, our government, our military, our intelligence agencies are very much united. Some abroad insist that this is not the case, but they are wrong. Pakistanis are united. Together, our nations have suffered and sacrificed. We have fought bravely and with passion and commitment. Ultimately we will prevail. For, in the words of my martyred wife Benazir Bhutto, “truth, justice and the forces of history are on our side.” www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/pakistan-did-its-part/2011/05/02/AFHxmybF_story.html

Pres Obama is a very thoughtful fellow, unlike many of the Presidential aspirants who are poseurs, performers for the teevee audience who just want to bamboozle folks. I am certain that that the fact Pres Obama made a deliberate attempt to nail OBL is a game changer. Pres Obama formed a new committee to find/kill/capture OBL a yr or so ago, they found this compound months ago and waited patiently to first confirm that OBL was a resident and then methodically chose a method to nail him from a diverse menu of options. Infact Pres Obama had this compound on his cross hairs during the last election in 2010, and he could have hurriedly stormed in and bombed out OBL to smithereens and paraded like a peacock, eti he has killed OBL, and gotten some mileage politically. He did not do that, like Bush and his folks infamously did, in the past. Instead he clinically and methodically studied the problem and made sure that he was as near certain as he could be, before ordering the storming of that compound. This is a game changer folks, it shapes his image in a very drastic manner. It enhances the "stature gap" between him and his useless GOP challengers. He is no wimp for sure and several of his decisions to use the Military have now been validated. He used the military in a daring raid to grab Americans in the hands of the Al shabab Somali forces in the Indian Ocean. He drew down the Iraq military presence to 50,000 from a high of three times that number. And now that the number one priority of capturing OBL is over he can now begin a careful draw down and winding up of the Af-G occupation. This is both a moral booster, a significant contribution of reducing the human and monetary cost of war (reducing the deficit), and a huge validation, a signature event of his foreign policy. Yes 2012 is far away and the country may be attacked again, but until then, he is way ahead of the pack of GOP wolves baying for his blood. This great son of Bondo Township, has started well, clearing the sh!t left by Bush, and I can only hope his compadre, the Rt Hon Prime Minister, will be given the same opportunity to clear the mess left by the mafiya wa mt Kenya, come 2012!!

Why did the US Navy Seals destroy the helicopter that crashed during the mission to kill Osama? A military analyst explained to FOX news thus:
"and the most interesting aspect, apart from the incredible professionalism and proficiency, is how the administration is spinning the helicopter that had a malfunction and which the SEALs destroyed. They're saying they didn't want Al Qaeda to get top secret technology, but that's nonsense. They didn't want the Pakistanis to get that technology because they would have shared it with their real buddies, the Chinese." Hunt elaborated on how four helicopters could fly into the area and retain an element of surprise. "We have the capability to defeat the air defense network of the Pakistanis, and it has to do with a muffler system that lowers the sound. This whole thing, from a political standpoint and a military standpoint, was a perfect operation."

What I liked about this operation, is that it was good old police work: detectives slowly and painfully putting pieces and bits of information together. And getting their man.
Not the gun-ho shock and awe types, or operation rolling thunder with MOABS [mother of all bombs] dropping on pre-historic afghan villagers at work in their poppy farms. Police work, makes the Bush-Chenney invasion of Afghanistan look very stupid.
But even as young americans throng central park to cheer their coloured warrior president who has brought home the severed head of the the nation's worst enemy as trophy, my heart is not at peace, since only last month the government nearly collapsed fiscally, due to an impasse in congress. There remains something stale in the heart of Washington.

Jon Stewart was Watching Apprentice at the break of the newsI was actually watching the apprentice myself ... Since I usually cannot care less about the show I did not know it is usually taped way ahead of time, so unlike Jon Stewart I was actually hoping I would hear something Trump would say about the bad day he had at Obama's mercy. Then boom! No more apprentice, but Obama was to speak. Jon Stewart seems to be talking for me. I could not imagine a reason the President would be speaking at that hour. I rushed to Yahoo for any breaking news, and in about 2 minutes it was there! Osama bid Laden reportedly dead!

Tayari there is a bump in the public opinion polls for Pres Obama - his job approval rating has climbed up by 9 %age pointsThis OBL capture and killing, is a political game changer for sure. It changes the lens through which the US electorate views Pres Obama. Inevitably, the polls will settle back down again, but his image in their minds, is changed for ever. He is now gonna be more inoculated from the spurious talk of being a 'foreigner' by the 'birthers', who are now for sure a fringe subset of the old white GOP folks. Likewise dont ever get caught calling him weak! But sadly, Just like at home where we have the 'cutters' who will forever propagate the 'kehee' meme against those they disagree with politically, the 'birthers' will be there, but they will be a fringe subset of the GOP, who will never vote Dem anyway.

I have been intrigued to read this MIT paper which predicted the location of OBL. If you care to read, here it is: web.mit.edu/mitir/2009/online/finding-bin-laden.pdfThe authors' theory pinpointed Parachinar(98%) and Abbottabad (86.6% chance) Amazing prediction. I guess Bush was busy shooting in the air like those Libyan rebels

POTUS has had a bump in polls - significantly on his handling of security and defense issues..and the birther story is slowly dying. Many folks outside the US may not appreciate how significant getting Bin Laden (OBL) is. Let him milk some political capital when it still lasts.

The economy is sluggish but its adding jobs pole pole.
The world crude oil prices for the first time dipped and hopefully will continue to do so.
And the fact that the GOP is mainly vested in passing legislation that assuages the feelings of its virulent social agenda - abortion, and not jobs weakens their appeal for 2012. Also its strong anti - union agenda has backfired badly in the Midwestern states where the 2010 mid term elections were lost for the Dems.
Beating Pres Obama will not be easy, on the electoral college board tally, there is a strong firm base of at least 234 votes, and he will need only 37 more votes to top 271, something that is very doable. The GOP start with a firm base of 143 votes in the electoral college.
So yea I am happy for Pres Obama as he is good for Kenya, he will pro change and anti status quo.
I am always salivating at the possibility of 2012 being the yr where progressive Presidents are at the helm of both the US and Kenya!!
