This Miguna guy is surely going Loco. As Kamale has said earlier, this would be a good time for Miguna's friends to really hold his hand and tell him to either go silent or tone down major. On a separate note, I have been scratching my head trying to find out or figure out what great or major thing that Miguna has done for Kenya/Raila/ODM such that the mere plan to sack him is all of a sudden treasonable. The only difference or contribution this guy has made to Kenyan politics is to re-define the meaning of confrontational politics. Another thing, assuming Miguna has his way in court, what kind of working relationship is he going to have with the PM and how is he going to advise the PM? I have never seen or heard of someone trying to be an advisor by force. Man:I have been silently watching your contributions here in Jukwaa, and there is a virulent strain of disdain littering all your personal attacks on Miguna. Please buy some good soap gel and wash off all that stench from your virtual online mouth. Onyango Oloo Administrator

Office of the Prime Minister have not handled this matter with the professionalism it deserves. Rather than wait for Miguna to go to court and engage in the one-sided spat with the PM, Dennis Onyango should already have released a press statement answering these issues you raise in your comments. On the other hand, there is a political angle that I think ODM as a party should also have addressed. It is cowardly to sit and watch as your own party leader is ridiculed in national press and do nothing about it. People like Jakoyo Midiwo need to shut up. Jakoyo is just adding fuel to the fire and you can be sure ODM is losing support each time Jakoyo opens his stupid mouth. Meanwhile, I urge Miguna not to give up the fight. No one is above being accountable to the law and that goes for Prime Minister Odinga too.[/quote] PhilWhen this thing all but blew up, my simple argument was that Miguna was but a small cog in the big Raila wheel that needed to be changed. It is important for you Raila admirers and supporters to continue seeing this as the big picture. Anything else unfortunately is taking your eyes from the prize! In this thread I sought anyone that cares for Miguna to go and counsel the man to stop self destructing in his continued bravado of thinking that he can match Raila. Many people have told us here in Jukwaa that Raila can afford to ignore the many insignificant people who think they can match him. Just what makes Miguna think he is any different? I am not for a moment suggesting that he should not fight for what he believes to be right - even when I think he is wrong. The argument I advance that he does himself little justice in this little spat he thinks he can win against the PM - there will be alot more people in Kenya who will happily ignore Miguna and support Raila irrespective of his many weaknesses. Such people tend to see the big picture and the Kamale's of this world will accuse them of being blind followers, but it does not change that simple fact! So moving on, Miguna may even win in court (and I highly doubt it!), but from a political point of view it will be a phyrric victory. I insist, someone please help and save Miguna from himself!

Onyango Oloo Administrator What is happening to JUKWAA?Man is not the only person on JUKWAA who is questioning the contributions of Miguna Miguna to the betterment of Kenya. I think Man is very realistic when he wrote the following; This Miguna guy is surely going Loco. As Kamale has said earlier, this would be a good time for Miguna's friends to really hold his hand and tell him to either go silent or tone down major.

Another thing, assuming Miguna has his way in court, what kind of working relationship is he going to have with the PM and how is he going to advise the PM? I have never seen or heard of someone trying to be an advisor by force. I perceived JUKWAA members are seeking a better Kenya and the way to achieve this is by open discussions about the consequences of the old tribal way of showing loyalty and changing this in a new way of thinking how to organise Kenya into a more democratic participative and prosperous society for every citizen. Suddenly this open discussion is coming to a grinding halt with the sacking of Miguna Miguna as advisor to the Prime Minister. Not anymore is there an open discussion possible how to achieve change. It is support for Miguna Miguna or threats to be kicked of the JUKWAA board. Questioning the effectiveness or plausibility of Miguna Miguna articles is seen as treason. However I wonder if Miguna Miguna with his abrasive articles would have attracted any votes as a presidential candidate. The impression is created that JUKWAA has become an exclusive fan club of Miguna Miguna and with the downfall of Miguna Miguna as advisor of the Prime Minister JUKWAA has lost its purpose of existence. However, the struggle against Impunity will not cease, with or without Miguna Miguna. The struggle for a better Kenya will continue with or without JUKWAA. August 2012 will be the next checkpoint. What is needed is a force to unite all Kenyans and if there is something Miguna Miguna is incapable off; it is to achieve unity.

Onyango Oloo AdministratorIs this a thinly veiled threat to my continued membership at Jukwaa and a warning about the imminent cancellation of my membership just because some of us are bold enough to tell the "Emperor" that his stuff is hanging out? In fact I have exercised a lot of restraint in my posts against the said "Emperor" and a lot of people have posted worse comments than mine, I don't recall seing any warnings to them thus far. If this was suppossed to make me tone down or look the other way then too bad. It will not happen coz the truth always hurts. And if anyone thinks I am the only one who is really against these rants by Miguna, just take a look the latest article by Miguna that was posted on the CapitalFM blog and see the comments that follow the article; www.capitalfm.co.ke/eblog/2011/08/12/why-i-am-challenging-my-suspension-in-court/#disqus_thread

No leaders, MP's e.t.c should be given a free hand to hire & fire their staff at will without following due process in accordance with the law clearly stated in the NEW CONSTITUTION..Kenyans would like to be assured that Miguna and all other Kenya have a right to defend themselves for wrongful dismissal and accusations !! impunity in government must end! pronto!!

Reporter,I just borrow a line from b6k who wrote to you the following: Reporter 911, so if I don't agree with MM I belong to the PNU camp by default? Why is life so binary for you? Is it your over reliance on one eye that makes you lack the necessary depth of vision afforded by having a pair of eyes? This line gives the essence in the way you limit a complex world into a neat piece you like to handle. You are right Miguna Miguna has the same rights as everyone else to be treated according to constitutional law – no discussion about it though this is not even half the story. We all play a decisive role in creating our own world and yes suddenly we could be run-over by a drunken driver though this does not happened in a working relation gone sour. Miguna Miguna must have played a decisive role which landed him in a messy situation. I cannot imagine signs have not been there to tell where the road was leading to. I think Miguna Miguna is probably an excellent lawyer though not a keen observer of what is happening between people and to him. He has not seen the signs or heard the alarm bells ringing thus cannot understand what led to his sudden downfall. He demands an explanation from the PM though what is there to explain if he does not hear either can see? What is left over is a court case and demand for compensation which is very sad. Friends of Miguna Miguna sympathise with him, they make a choice between the PM or Miguna Miguna and stand by him. They re-enforce his demand for correction of unlawful dismissal. These are the things good friends do though these are also the easy things demanding little commitment. Some friends will do the difficult thing, they will try to inspire Miguna Miguna to discover what he did or did not do which led to his downfall so he can learn and gain insight in himself. This could lead to personal growth into a more effective person. Trying to make him understand needs lots of commitment and is very risky as it can damage longstanding friendship. You see Reporter, life is a bit more complex as the eye can see. This complex process needs all your skills and talents to make it a pleasant and rewarding event.

Sounds like if you were to find your neighbor raping your daughter instead of reporting to the police, you would rather solve it in house, in order not to embarrass your family! forgetting that heinous act and injustice done to your daughter and her suffering, protecting family name is priority? Wrong! it is not about Miguna Relationship with Raila or his membership in ODM party, it is about the rule of law of the land, and allowing leaders to misuse their powers in disregard of the law, I'm sure there are many civil servants out there who have faced the same injustice and were either scared to come forward or threatened by their former bosses if they were to go Public.. That is why Kenyans must stand firm and reject impunity from leaders & MP's e.t.c You pal are still stack on Miguna this Miguna that! and refuse to look at the broader picture on why these case is so critical if Kenya as a country wants to get rid of impunity in the government.. It is about following the rule of Law. not personal shenanigans being spat out there! to deviate from the issue at hand!THE LAW WAS ABUSED BY EMPLOYER..
