www.standardmedia.co.ke/?articleID=2000074888&story_title=Kenya-Waititu-alleges-plot-to-kick-him-out-of-governor-raceOn the other side, the bishop too is having degree problems. And so the two, by opinion polls leading candidates, could be 'barred'! CHOICES: A fake degree governor, or an ICC fugitive for president? which one would I choose? as the lesser evil? ;D SMOOTHIES PLOTTING TO COOK FERDINAND WAITITU'S GOOSE They say sometimes class conflict wears a disguise, even that of a benign and retiring country-club robe, but the clock and daggers tool-box underneath, which are her stock in trade, are perpetually on ignition mode. So whatever the appearance, the intense combat simply goes on by other means, usually a question of price dictated by economics. And so we come to Uhuru Kenyatta's little Nairobi headache. His heart is to reserve it for Mbaru and kill off Waititu. His pledge is for fair and square contest! And heart and pledge may not produce the same requred result. What to do for a prisoner of his time? When Ferdinand Waititu was arrested (for disowning Masai's in Kayole Nairobi), he seemed to have done himself in and sorted the issue out, and jubilation was loud in some quarters of TNA. The men who met in posh hotels to fund-raise and organise to unleash Mungiki on murder sprees in political reprisal, thought Waititu is not the man for the Nairobi gubernatorial ticket. That he is dirty, a thug, and lowly! Good for throwing stones like his fellow Luo Gor supporters, and that is just about all the use one can have for him! --Goes the snob's nose. Now there is the beauty of politics too; the pot calling the kettle black with no sense of irony! Or like in Old Rome, hypocrisy is the blood that flows in the body of politics. {And occasionally needs wars to drain too much of it out. And so the preponderance of war and bloodletting in history, as a corrective mechanism. [So that hypocrisy is reduced to the grease that oils the wheels of politics].} But now for the power-brokers of TNA, what to do in an open and square fight, if their own secret polls confirm Waititu is no public walk-over? If Kamalet (who may or may not know) takes his fifth amendment in concordance with the famous oaths within the house of Mumb ;Di, we will just have to rely on periscopal perusing of the horizon, to get a glimpse of what is cooking in the kitchen, that must count for Ferdinand's goose being cooked!

One of the perils these high-speed pre-election alliance and coalitional boats have to negotiate, especially in the huge urban areas with cosmopolitan constituencies, is the sharing out of spoils, seats, that is commonly called ' barwabar' in some part of the country. The lateness with which these coalitions have come, means in many cases they severely contradict the schemes of long-term planners who hit the ground long ago, and have already heavily invested in their campaigns, to seats of choice. Losses can be huge, financially.. Those who have spent tidy sums, and will only quit on compensation, can now breathe a sigh of relief. You will either be paid refunds, or given a post in the incoming CORD government! ;D those of us who, ON MERIT, DREAMED of those plum jobs currently perched upon by Mount Kenya Mafia, please change your dreams. Who still remembers Moi's DREAM TEAM? Dr. Leakey is probably old by now, what of Martin Oduor-Otieno? The CEO of Equity Bank Dr. James Mwangi? I'm craving for someone with a proven record, one who is ready to put in the hours needed to get the job done not the everyday politician who prefers to be popular in bars and clubs. I'm looking for someone who has no problem sitting behind a desk for long hours transacting the people's business, someone who hates corruption like we hate death, someone with a vision second to none... i'm not sure I've seen that person yet! ....and John Gakuo is your man. In the meantime, here is Kidero making the usual mistakes:
Nairobi governor aspirant Evans Kidero has picked John Kiarie popularly known as KJ to be his running mate. Kidero made the decision after consulting with key advisers and campaigners. According to sources, the choice was made based on the need for regional balance, demographics and professional competences. KJ's choice has drawn a lot of attention from the social media with majority of those airing their views praising Kidero for giving a young person a chance to serve. "We believe KJ will bring in a lot of value and since Kidero wants to be a mentor KJ will certainly be one of the people who will benefit from that mentor ship programme," said Kidero's chief campaigner George Wainaina. KJ who rose to fame as a comedian, contested and lost the Dagoretti parliamentary seat to cabinet Minister Beth Mugo in the 2007 general elections. "Young people need to be represented in the leadership of the country especially because older politicians are scheming to make the senate their retirement home," said KJ yesterday when contacted. Kidero has also brought to his team Regional Development minister Fred Gumo. Gumo is yet to officially announce the seat he will vie for. For the position of women representative the former MD of Mumias has picked Judith Atsyiao, the ODM women league chair. It is also understood that Kidero is talking to a lady Muslim lawyer based in the city and only identified as a miss Asha to be the county speaker. Kidero is battling to be the first governor of the city on an ODM ticket. His challengers for the party ticket are former Nairobi town clerk Philip Kisia and Starehe MP Margaret Wanjiru. From the TNA side Kidero is facing competition from Businessman Jimnah Mbaru, Nairobi central Business district chairman Timothy Muriuki and Embakasi MP Ferdinand Waititu. www.the-star.co.ke/news/article-96943/nairobi-governor-hopeful-kidero-picks-kj-deputyIf his campaign manager is George Wainaina a former nominated councillor in Kiambu following his mad campaign for Uhuru in 2002 and whose commercial and integrity record is rather well known, then your man Kidero is doomed! KJ is even the wrong message to send to Nairobians trying to forget the other comedian called Sonko. People need to be serious about leadership! KJ is going for MP - Dagoretti North. Even his nomination forms confirm this. He has not joined Evans Kidero at any campaign meet. But obviously all aspirants in a particular county must a dopt a joint strategy to boost victory chances. cordkenya.blogspot.com/2013/01/introducing-teamcord-2013-aspirants.html

For CORD I advice free fair nominations. May the best win. Personally, i would be glad if Wanjiru would win. With a technocrat for a deputy she would be effective to neutralise the Jubilee influence in Nairobi. Cave : We already have polls www.rtr.org/videofeed/swy_ICAn15A showing her popularity.

After purchasing the loyalty of potential opponents within his party, and going ahead to employ them within his campaign team, the TNA gubernatorial aspirant Jimnah Mbaru has launched what he calls a "master plan" for Nairobi if elected. Never mind the hypocricy - the man was sitting on some Nairobi Advisory Council all this while, a position that gives him undue advantage over some of his opponents www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/Mbaru-unveils-Nairobi-County-masterplan-/-/1064/1667074/-/y759dqz/-/index.htmlWe shall interrogate these lofty plans shortly. Consider it done!! Mbaru has also published an impressive 50+ page CV and shared it with his gullible followers on social media. A huge omission from this CV is Mbaru's biggest business scoop otherwise known as Trans Century Group which exploded into the scene following the election of Mwai Kibaki into Office of the President in 2004. Before that, it was a struggling chama of men like many we know in Nairobi. For obvious reasons, Mbaru does not wish to be associated with this company that he founded and owns a large share holding. The question is WHY?

The Dreaded ruffian Ferdinand passed the academic test. The earlier attempt to cast aspersions at his 'Chandigar masters' returned negative and he went on the ballot. Mbaru and Gakuo, the posh party boys, had no chance. So the Kayole man will be holding the TNA flag. That makes me think Kidero is a man who should be hard at pray today, if he believes in the fates. He must thank and to pray some more, that the fair wind they have blown his way, hold. Continuously the polls showed the divinity doctor Bishop Wanjiru ahead of Evans Kidero, forcing the doctor in economics to become a high-profile denier of polls, like the jubilee sided with Infotrak. ---[ Man Mank! are you aware of the reasons your fellow econometrist Evans gave for trashing ;D the polls that showed Wanjiru consistently the hottest in ODM Nairobi streets?][/i] There was a stiff chance then, for what those polls are worth, that the church lady could have fried the ex sugar-man for her dogs, if the public had had the chance to choose between the two. What must Kidero do now, knowing he faces another monstrous contest against badboy Waititu, a no push-over in the league of the legendary Fred Kaa Ngumu Gumo? I think he must act on accordance with the limitations of his technical win, and woe Wanjiru to back HIM both publicly and privately and be party loyal. Especially privately. Since if ignored, the disappointed lady could start a negative whisper campaign of revenge, talking parables that push her mathematical backyard toward her 'classmate' Ferdie. The choice still seems to be posh vs favella. High brow vs Low brow. This one will be a bruiser. But Kidero has a deal to make, with Wanjiru. If he has not been on the phone the whole night to her, I would slap him! After the hullabaloo about the suspected bogus degrees of Bishop Wanjiru, I was thinking a major headache for ODM was sorting itself out unexpectedly. That Wanjiru would get the hint IEBC would disqualify her anyway, and bow out well ahead of time, to allow for a soft landing to be arranged for her by the party. BUT NAY, YOU CANNOT RIG ME OUT THAT EASY, she more or less declared this weekend. RIGGED OUT, not disqualified because of sub-standard degree! SIGNS OF TROUBLE IF YOU ASK ME! Very high-stakes language. To be rigged out smacks of the old KANU days when the party would find some excuse to bar the undesirables!

He is joining the unsuccessful political attempts of his father! The litany of excuses surely would not even hold before a kangaroo court! As long as he fake ballots did not make it to the polling stations, importation of voters and paying them (note you can no longer buy votes!) is something everyone does! As for Arati calling himself 'Hon.' even Kibaki and Raila claimed to call themselves 'President' in their campaign materials previously.....end of day KJ needs to find himself something useful to do like campaigning for Raila!

The riff raff was on citizen tv today and did very well. He has a very peculiar way of connecting with people, obviously not as foolish as people think. Apparently the bishop hasn't gathered enough courage yet to face the nation after stealing Ongoro's certificate. She was supposed to take part in the interview but was no show.

WAITITU UNDER QUATANTINE! EFFECTIVELY AN INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE!! elections.nation.co.ke/news/Nairobi-TNA-candidates-reject-Waititu/-/1631868/1678324/-/wrldms/-/index.html It seems the middle class is feeling besieged. their choice candidates have been whipped in the nominations, and, widowed thus, they have entered into a trashing and bashing mode. Waititu, thought to be way out of Kidero's league --after rendering Mbaru and Gakuo irrelevant IN ADDITION, is next to being quarantined by the middle class and the elite. I have a feeling if he won and were rigged out, the middle class would applaud it. ;D ;D [ Nok Nok! no definition of MC yet ;D] The Sonko-Waititu tandem is an embrace too unwelcome for this class. But it is the price this class may have to pay for having absconded from duty. Failing to engage in urban planning, such that Nairobi is some kind of Haiti. Lawless in the provision of services to the majority of her inhabitants. Then we can not claim there is too much juju around the city. Fate now rests on the Great elite Hope Evans Kidero. May those against him making it by crook if necessary all rise? ;D Battle of the titans; Kidero Vs. Waititu. When Lucy's "successor-might be" does not like something she does not hide it. When she wants something, she gets it including getting people off boats.
So yes she has little time for Kidero is a well known fact and her support for Khisia was known as well.so Kidero stuck in there when the likes of Shebesh could not stand the heat and left the kitchen.
Now you know.

On Wednesday, Gideon Mbuvi Sonko and Rachel Shebesh declared they will support Ferdinand Waititu's rival Jimnah Mbaru who is vying for the governor seat on Alliance Party of Kenya ticket following a falling out in the TNA camp. Sources indicated that the two met with Mbaru in a Nairobi hotel on Tuesday to strike a deal on how to campaign as a team. They are said to have taken the decision following suspicions within their camp, just four days before Monday’s General Election. When contacted, Sonko said there was nothing wrong in working with Mbaru. The ex-legislator hinted that they had disagreed between themselves after reports emerged that Waititu was allegedly supporting his rivals for the senate seat. “There is nothing wrong if I work with Mbaru. After all we also received reports that Waititu has been secretly campaigning for my rival Margret Wanjiru,” he said. However, Waititu dismissed the move as inconsequential saying his support is not in the duo’s pocket but with voters. “My votes are not in the pockets of Sonko and Shebesh but with the people who will decide in four days from now,” he said. The former Embakasi MP’s bid may suffer a setback following the latest development as the three previously campaigned as a team. They are also in the same billboards across the city. In the run up to January parties nomination, the three politicians campaigned as a team and even had a joint secretariat to coordinate their activities. But soon after they clinched their party nominations, Sonko and Shebesh isolated themselves and are currently working from a secretariat in Kilimani area. www.standardmedia.co.ke/?articleID=2000078245&story_title=Kenya-Sonko,-Shebesh-dump-Waititu,-support-Mbaru

Jakawanga Omerta? Anyway, do not think the fall out is as is being reported by the media though the rantings of Shebesh are perhaps to get a little more dosh from Mike Sonko who is running against the Bishop aka The Glory is Here. The meeting with Jimnah did not come up with a resolution and I suspect that the problem is that Waititu has a fairer chance of beating Kidero than Mbaru seriuosly and Uhuru's people do not want to compromise his intention of at least 4 piece voting as there are URP MP and County Ward aspirants in Nairobi hence the 6-piece thingy will not work. But getting a piece vote ensures that the city can hand it to him over Cord and that is a real possibility!

I will lift something from the following thread: JUBILEE AND THE NATIONAL QUESTION, TO POSE A QUESTION... jukwaa.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=8236demokrasia-kenya.blogspot.nl/2013/04/jubilee-and-national-question-in-kenya.htmlAND THIS TELLING REACTION ON THE SAME THREAD. NOW WHAT I HAVE TO ASK. Governor elect Isaac Ruto has emerged the most independence prone, and that this reflects the real situation in Rift Valley. Nevertheless I was surprised by the no-show of Dr. Evans Kidero of Nairobi. Not even a cursory mention of opinion, in a caucus where eyes would be on him to provide a dealing statement. The Nairobi governor, by virtue of the political and financial power of his county, is effectively the third man in the country. After the Pork and his VP. Nairobi is not just a county, it is a country, by virtue of sophistication and complexity. And services, intellectual services ;D in addition to prostitutional puddings! -- it is like the reason the Mayor of New York has a more prominent place in the USA than the VP, or the minister of Finance. It has got more to do with the power of New York City and state, than the personality of the Mayor. And so too in London, Mexico city, or Shanghai. ----The mayor of Shanghai is actually a Senior cabinet post in China and more! Kidero then, by virtue of his Nairobi seat, should have moved quickly to define the hierarchy. He is above Kimemia, and Githae, and talks directly to Uhuruto. He is Governor of Nairobi, and if the President is a resident of Nairobi, he is in effect, merely one of the citizens. So the traffic jams caused by presidential motorcades will be evaluated against the economic disruption they cause. Too much, then a thing of the past or the office moves from the city center.
So it must be fear which held Kidero back. Because one way or another this confrontation is coming. The confrontation on the collection of tax in Nairobi city for instance. It will be a war-zone between the treasury and City Hall, until Kidero, if weak in mind and of a personality susceptible to intimidation and blackmail, is cowed and conquered until one of a hardier breed arises to replace him, or, if Kidero gets the nerve to stand his ground, the power equation currently promulgated at Harambee house and the treasury, is re-adjusted to conform to national question.
