Kamale, Do you even know the real issues being debated here? It doesn't seem like you have any clue. Whether Mutunga agrees with any specific amendments or not is not the issue. Mutunga has a right to his opinion and it is not gospel truth to any of us. We have a right to agree or not agree with him. In fact when Mutunga talks about vetting in terms of judges having paid their school loans and taxes (as I saw in the capital fm story) it is outright nonsense. To be fair to him that is not everything he said. But Mutunga of all people should know why Kenyans are demanding that judges be vetted in a credible and transparent way. Our judiciary has been a cesspool of corruption, incompetence and outright subversion of out national interests. That is why the judges and other judicial officers are being vetted. It has nothing to do with taxes and loans. In any event the infamous amendments are just an outright assult on the constitution. Falling on the lap of the CJ to defend this infamy will not work. Take that to the bank. Now. Adongo You should never feel it necessary to respond to me! I know what the debate is about and I am even aware about Mutunga talking about having approved the appointment Rawal contrary to activist thinking that Kimunya had taken a unilateral decision to take a judge to run an enquiry without checking with the CJ! In any case it makes a lot more sense for the JSC to vet magistrates in light of their numbers as opposed to judges! I am not responding to you my friend. You are the least of my concerns. I have a duty to challenge any nonsensical stuff I see on Jukwaa. I take those duties very seriously. OK? Sawa. Have a nice day. Now I am going to see England pound the Italians. For the first time in my life I am supporting the England soccer team and my son thinks I should see a psychiatrist as soon as posible. Of course the kid has Italian connections. His mother grew up down there. I reminded him that for the first time England has five black players in the starting squad and two of them are my favourite soccer players. Danny Wellback and Ashely Young. That is for another thread. Adios.

adongo githu is on record as having supported the ammendments and challenging those who disagree (including his boss kibaki) to go to court he is now shown here as consulting with kibaki and kibaki has declined to assent i know jakaswanga has written somewhere here on the mental state of githu but either the real githu should stand up or else we need to use gogle maps to locate the whereabouts of the brains of one AG prof. githu. "i believe" (yeah me too hehehe) that githu leaves his brain outside the door when he enters parliament, state house, etc how else can you explain, him agreeing with the jambazi's in parliament and then "advising" kibaki to decline to assent

Public vigilance and outrage nipped the midnight raid on the Constitution by MPs. Kibaki's reactionary response is betrayed by his lead generals during the bunge raid (Githu & Kimunya). Notice the President's reason for rejecting the Bills - citing the doctrine of seperation of powers (given that courts are currently reviewing the issues in question)...how come his chief government legal advisor (Githu) was leading the legislative onslaught in bunge? Kwani Githu was unaware these matters are in court? These are the dirty games the nation has grown tired of....

Job, While in kisii druming up support for RAO, the head of ODM reloaded campaign Ababu Namwamba pointed out that what Githu has done so far shows that they were right in opposing his nomination. Most Kenyans now feel that they made another mistake by handing the man this important job.
While Kenyans thought that Mr. Wako was a bad guy, Githu is simply the most useless AG Kenya has ever had. His office is autonomous yet he keeps asking the president who is not even a lawyer what to do. Kibaki being Kibaki agrees with him during the day and overturns their agreement in the middle of the night, especially when the wanainchi get angry.
The watermelons, whose leader is Mwai Kibaki are trying everything to reverse the gains in the constitution. Wanainchi including the churches and mosques have become too vigilant for their mischief. Its not that Kibaki thought it wise not to assent. Hapana, the feared the wanainchi tsunami.

This is a hot potato that no one wants to deal with, not even the political parties themselves want to take it head-on. That is why they are skirting around it and pointing fingers, they would rather play to the gallery than do the right thing. It is a can of warms or rather the proverbial mtego wa panya with the potential of bringing this coalition government down. After much ado about a very important tenet, this is how it ended. www.nation.co.ke/news/Politicians-now-free-to-switch-parties-without-losing-seats/-/1056/3274406/-/ppu6o1z/-/index.htmlPresident Uhuru Kenyatta signs the 2016 Appropriations Act and the Political Parties (Amendment) Act into law at State House in Nairobi on June 30, 2016. Watching, from right, are Deputy President William Ruto, National Assembly Speaker Justus Muturi, Majority Leader Aden Duale, Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich and Solicitor-General Njee Muturi. PHOTO | PSCU It is a compromise for the Mpigs caught in a changing game, yet too scared to face the electorate. But overal it is recidivism, a victory for the forces of backwardness and impunity. It is a healthy democratic step to go back to the electorate to seek a new mandate if one changes parties mid-stream. (There is a moral victory for Raila here. He once upon a time resigned to seek a new mandate after bolting from the party on whose ticket he was elected. A tough act to follow, one at which even cicumcised men do not measure up to the kerher!) Yap: I do hate speech of course. We can not make the ocean shallow and less dangerous just because some simple minded African nation only sails on wooden canoes. Nope, they just have to go to post-diesel engined submarine school, and do 300m nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, otherwise staying at shore will keep them safe and dry! yes, I think Kaparo is a silly boy who never went past his village and saw bigger boobs to gape at!
