President Uhuru has yanked orengo/raila from the high pedestal of reformers.CORD by protesting too much on the legality of the move have left their behind uncovered.HISTORY goes full circle and has now shown that yesterday 'reformers' are today wolves.

Arrest Orengo and we expose you, Cord dares Jubileewww.nation.co.ke/news/politics/Cord-dares-Jubilee-to-arrest-Orengo/-/1064/2406686/-/hhg4jb/-/index.htmlCord leaders have dared the Jubilee government to arrest Senator James Orengo over the allocation of land in Lamu to 22 companies saying they had evidence on the cartels behind illegal land transactions in the country.....
The Opposition leaders also viewed the move to revoke the Lamu titles and target Mr Orengo, a former Lands minister, as political and said they would spill the beans if they were provoked further.....:.................. Ndungu report was published in 2005. Is CORD seriously arguing that 2011 illegal allocations of land should be given a blind eye because those of before 2005 enjoy the same blind eye? I thought CORD was keen on projecting a reformist appearance - what then is this business of "touch one of our own and we'll expose yours"? What kind of covenant is that they are proposing? Is that not to say "you can screw Wanjiku with our blessings as long as you don't mess with our turn to do the same?". Poor Wanjiku!

Mank: When it comes to Eating+Politics, " We'll expose!" has always been very reliable in Kenya. Can't go wrong with it. I put it up there with " Money has been poured to finish!" and " I'm being trailed!". It would be an amazing places if people exposed even only 10% of the we'll-expose. The only kind of " we'll-expose!" that is interesting is the "reverse" one, in which, for PR purposes one gets his own people to we'll-expose him. Here is an example from January: " The leaders [Senate Majority Leader Kithure Kindiki and his National Assembly counterpart Adan Duale] have demanded that President Uhuru Kenyatta exposes the cartels within a week, failure to which they will name and shame the crooks." www.standardmedia.co.ke/mobile/?articleID=2000103190&story_title=expose-cartels-now-uhuru-men-demand

What is that old adage about madness and doing the same thing with expectations of a different result? As long as KE elects & recycles the same leaders, ALL of whom have been through the KANU school of hard knocks, it's a bit of a stretch not to expect the same results. Expressing surprise when KANU B land grabs much like KANU A did before it is...disappointing. The day we guarantee any corrupt state officer a bullet in the head, Kung-fu style, will be the day we'll start to get different results. Alas, the constitution (bill of rights) and the August house (which makes up the bulk of the economic thugs) will put paid to that...

Land is not an emotive issue, all those who have grabbed land from both sides of the political divide need to carry their own cross without resorting to the often tired excuse of being politically targeted,my people being finished. Is it a little wonder that all the politicians in Government and opposition have been mentioned with land grabbing at one time or the other, the huge tracts of land in Taita Taveta, the Kisumu Molasses plant land, the land in Tokyo including buildings, the squatters land in Ukambani,Muteshi's land in Eldoret, too much land issues involving politicians, whether culpability is established or not let us not hide in legalese to perpetuate an illegality.By CORD crying wolf over the recent revelations is tantamount to saying when you get a thief stealing your chicken, you shouldnt complain because the other day robbers stole millions from a bank and nobody was caught!
The day we hold the so-called leaders accountable for deeds of omission or commission is the day we can start talking of having a country called Kenya, otherwise currently what we have is a jungle where the strongest survive, and for those loud mouthed politicians whose only forum for addressing pressing issues are funerals, continue entertaining your loyal followers to doom!

They view this as a move to target Mr. Orengo! so what? Orengo has a huge responsibility here, politically as the minister then, and possibly --I think highly likely, criminaly. Amigo, Don't bet on any of them being clean. Even if he did not have the nerve to dig his paws into the honey I bet he was standing by often when someone else opened the barrel and, thanks to mischievous calculation of the honey fox, he found himself in possession of a handful for himself (kifunga macho). Now if he tries to present himself as special he'll be thrown his own threat. What that means, in my view, is that a pact was reached as soon as CORD slung that 'threat.'. Neither party will seriously say to the other 'Huyo mwizi!'. The problem is gone .... done with. Wanjiku is screwed!

What that means, in my view, is that a pact was reached as soon as CORD slung that 'threat.'. Neither party will seriously say to the other 'Huyo mwizi!'. The problem is gone .... done with. Wanjiku is screwed! Orengo gave the list of over 850 individuals and companies as lands cabinet secretary charity Ngilu said the government will revoke all illegally acquired land dating back to 1963. www.standardmedia.co.ke/ktn/video/watch/2000081702/-james-orengo-releases-a-list-of-senior-government-officials-who-irregularly-acquired-landThe legislators Monday released what they called their first batch of a dossier to implicate top Jubilee leaders in land grabbing, saying more damning documentary disclosures were on the way. In particular, they have picked on Deputy President William Ruto, whom they described as the leader of “Kanu land cartels” who were driven out of town by the National Rainbow Coalition regime in 2002 but are now staging a comeback. www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2000130544/ngilu-land-shocker-as-orengo-names-rutoFanon exposed them before they were born by saying 'To them, nationalization quite simply means the transfer into native hands of those unfair advantages which are a legacy of the colonial period.' Typically these cash-strapped leaders would invite in European capital, leaving the decolonized nations to remain simply producers of raw materials. Then, Fanon says, this middle class becomes "intermediaries" for capital. As the only educated people, they become lawyers and bureaucrats, securing for themselves the best possible positions to accumulate wealth. As such, they go from being the agents of a national consciousness to being the "transmission line between the nation and a capitalism, rampant though camouflaged, which today puts on the masque of neocolonialism." Like their colonial predecessors, their very raison d'être would be the exploitation of the lower classes, who will remain poor, backward agricultural laborers. www.enotes.com/homework-help/please-expla-n-frantz-fanons-from-pitfalls-438020it appears a replay of 2005 is shaping up. either side of the political divide is fed up with the other side. although UhuRuto and Jubilee are playing politics with explosive land issue, they have given us loaded guns, our role is to fire bullets. further, their efforts to revoke fraudulent tittles is commendable. in fact, revocation of more titles in all parts of the country should be done pronto.

Apart from the other known standard reasons, there is another interesting detail. The Ghanian cabinets and top bureaucratic layer, are extremely educated people. Many went to the diaspora in the military dictatorship days, and have dual citizenship. And since the oil boom have been paying themselves in the currencies of their other homes! ---the cedi is for your lower classes, less sophisticated who will remain poor and backward. This sophisticated group of intermidiaries with one leg in Africa and another in the West, had of course first ensured Ghana is a totally open economy with little if any restrictions of capital export! or profit repatriation! --you will recall the ease with which, during the World Cup in Brazil the other day, Ghana transported $3 million in sacked bundles to bribe the players threatening to go on strike: dollars not cedis! cedis are for the backward labourers! www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-06-25/ghana-sends-plane-full-dollars-brazil-black-stars-demand-physical-cash Now, that is just the tip of the iceberg! These extraordinary auxillaries with exceptional education running Ghana, have also cut deals which effectively have made Ghana a dollar or euro economy. In the oil area, those are the trading currencies. No one accepts cedis. Even tomatos are priced in $s! Then even backward labourers start to get it. Change your cedis into the dollar. And accept your daily wage only in dollars! END OF CEDI! And of the highly educated people who brought it to pass, Fanon could not be more right! they go from being the agents of a national consciousness to being the "transmission line between the nation and a capitalism, rampant though camouflaged, which today puts on the masque of neocolonialism.Gino motamo wuowi wadu kik iriknie kidhiye! --i mean very soon we are becoming an oil boom economy!? any lessons here?

Hmmm.... this could very well be one fight of two elephantine males in which the grass does not necessarily get hurt. Hopefully. ... but if both sides are protecting their loots then we are in deep trouble. Regular thieves give up when caught. But those we pay to clean us up are no regular thieves - they feel entitled. ARE KENYANS THAT GULLIBLE
One day after meeting the Lamu leaders, Uhuru Kenyatta came out with guns blazing, he ordered the revocation of title deeds issue to 22 companies, he claimed that it is 70 percent of Lamu county, 500,000 acres.
But wait a minute, this is how the media is reporting www.news24.co.ke/MyNews24/14-of-22-Lamu-land-grabbing-firms-not-registered-Report-20140801
And officials at the registrar of lands confirmed that a QUICK SURVEY had found that most of the companies mentioned in the report were not registered.
" 14 of the companies in the list are not even registered in the country as we speak, an official not authorized to speak told News24.
At least 11 companies allocated land in Lamu Port are not REGISTERED with the Registrar of Companies. The eleven were allocated 200,000 acres, out of the 500,000 acres illegally allocated Lapsset land. - See more at: www.the-star.co.ke/news/article-181840/11-companies-behind-lamu-land-grab-not-registered#sthash.gAD3PXzi.dpuf
which is it, 14 companies?, 11 companies?
And it becomes more interesting when we are told
NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 1 – It has now emerged that owners of the 22 companies which allegedly grabbed 500,000 acres of land in Lamu are influential politicians and businessmen both in Nairobi and Mombasa. www.capitalfm.co.ke/news/2014/08/politicians-behind-the-massive-lamu-land-grab/
Why should any Kenyan believe this whole story, except for few companies that have come out and claimed they purchased the said land, we dont know if this names of The 22 companies were cooked by JUBILEE propaganda machines to confuse Kenyans and divert peoples attention from the real issues and deflect the CORD steam that was pilling up. The Kenya media is at it again, just reporting what they are told by the government without asking tough questions, let us not be so gullible and believe everything this government is saying, remember the same Uhuru said on live TV that the killing in Mpeketoni was done by political network, his spanner boys said the same thing and yet the Al Shabaab claimed responsibility, i can assure you the JUBILEE supporters believed that Raila was killing Kikuyus in Mpeketoni, so why should anyone believe this latest propaganda.
