I just posted this over at Nipate:
nipate.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54458
It has been amusing in the extreme, to watch the strident, trumped up campaign to banish Onyango Oloo from Nipate on the spurious grounds that he published "gory" images.
Were the pictures of Africans being roasted alive and children with gashing wounds gory?
Most certainly.
But compared to the pornographic obscenity of the dunderhead xenophobic attacks on so called “Amakwerekwere" was Oloo justified in sharing a passionate poem denouncing these discriminatory attacks?
Most sane people would say,
Most certainly.
But not to some of the deranged netizens of Nipate.
Instead of commenting on and engaging with the actual poem that I wrote and shared on this and a plethora of other Kenyan online spaces, what I saw instead was a diversionary red herring onslaught on Onyango Oloo, an act which has become something of a blood sport on Nipate.
Since I do not know the AGE of the toilet mouth who first barked at me, I can only assume that he/she/it is a prepubescent heckler-wanker.
On a more serious note, the attempt to banish Onyango Oloo from Nipate is not a random or sudden act.
Cowards, here on Nipate and elsewhere, cloaked in anonymity have STALKED Oloo for years going back to the salad days of RC Bowen and Mashada over ten years ago. Some of these trolls have never relented in abusing Oloo; engaging in infantile identity theft and cloning and plagiarizing from my blogs and discussion forums over the years.
With the usurpation of power by ICC indictees Uhuru and Ruto, some of these haters have willingly converted themselves into the online storm troopers of Jubilee and now Japanese. I see them on Facebook, behaving like the insecure bullies they are jumping on George Nyongesa, Boniface Mwangi, Mutemi wa Kiama and other sane voices for democracy in cyberspace.
Despite their yodeling, from the comfort of their virtual caves, about freedom of speech yakety yakety yak blah blah blah yammering and jabbering as they dither hither and thither, in reality they are nothing more than online fascists who wish Kenya was still living under dictator Moi under the old despotic constitution.
If they could, they would arrest me and take me to the torture chambers of Nyayo House where they would take turns squeezing my testicles and pulling out my nails, finger by finger.
Consider this:
A veritable CESSPOOL like Nipate is now setting standards of decency about proper and prim internet etiquette?
This, this, wait, words fail me... this Nipate where tribal tripe and sexist sleaze is the order of the day?
Give me a frigging break.
Listen, if the "Admin" wants to get rid of Onyango Oloo because he had the temerity of posting a poem denouncing bigotry, well, they could and should go ahead pronto.
Make my freaking day.
Onyango Oloo
