The old goat is gone. Well, forced by empire-pressure on sponsors to resign, though his network of influence may still be intact; and the emotional backlash against the skulduggery and kangaroo process that led to his demise, shape the voting pattern for the next FIFA boss.The weasel Platini beware!
But what a story! It took the lynching of an American power girl, one appropriately named Lynch, to cut the balls of the Old Goat and stem the flow of fire. But it was a performance which also reminds of what they say where I come from, that when you see mighty frogs much agitated in broad daylight, know you something mean is after their lives. My bet is something huge is scaring the living daylights out of these American law-enforcement officers, and it aint justice, nor uprooting corruption in world football. We will investigate.
As the US Attorney General Loretta Lynch waded into the press conference in New York to announce her indictments, select American journalists were on standby as if heeding a clockwork mechanism in Switzerland, and they were strategically placed to register the Sweiss police conducting the arrest of some FIFA officials who were part of the entourage gathered in Zurich for the FIFA caucus. This was an event at which incumbent Sepp Blatter was widely tipped to win ---as he eventually did.
There then were these two live events next to simultaneous in two separate continents, and though Loretta denied choreography, it was really too close to call a coincidence; nay, a sniper's timing could never be more perfect. Loretta the lynch sure aimed a beretta right at the heart of Blatter, at exactly the best publicity moment. A clean kill it should have been, like in the best days of Chris Kyles, the top predator iconised in the Clint-Eastwood jingoistic blockbuster, American Sniper, but it did not work out that way. Fools are far and few in-between, and the real story soon emerged, though you wouldn't know of it if the corrupted Western Press core monopolises your interpretation of reality.

This development has reduced once famed world wide oracles into mouth pieces of power, bark- dogs on a cash leash from centres they are suppose to critically shine a light through.
In the run to the second gulf war, the NYT (New York Times) ran the journalist Judith Miller's series on Saddam Hussein's Iraq, reports which paved the way for regime change as American minds became ensnared in the yarn spun. Iraq had WMD's already, and was still all the way acquiring yellow cake from Niger in Africa, clear homeland danger. ---Fiction. Very well-paid fiction. And a laughing stock reputation has resulted, since the Pulitzer winning girl was merely Ahmed Chalabi's toy and tool.
And true to form, all the Big News corps missed the story of the day.

The story of the day was the red card which the Palestinians had managed to put on the table and call a vote upon: Due to its apartheid football policies at the address of Palestinians, should Israel be expelled from FIFA like apartheid South Africa of old?
This was not like Palestinian Authority applying to join the ICC at the Hague, nor putting forward another resolution at the UN doomed to be vetoed by the USA and her cohorts. This was going to be a debate, and a decision discussed in the slums of the world ---for soccer is the game of the world, and the slums of the world outside the USA. A world public opinion waterloo if mishandled.
This was thus an event to set the panic mode on some usual suspects.
BUT THERE IS LOTS OF HUMOUR TOO!

So I was hooked immediately as I read and gaped of course at Sepp Blatter the FIFA chair and his girlfriend Barras, flashing red on my mobile device. WTF! Tabloid tales! They head deep to the core I always say, like smoking guns! Here is an example of the British in inspired tabloid format.

I breathed deeply. FIFA under the jurisdiction of the United States? FIFA arrests on the orders of the United States! are them culprits American citizens or what? ---No? then they must be devious terrorists plotting evil against the homeland and thus defined by the Americans as outside common law! No? The ill is just fraud!? and arrests are dramatic and timed on the eve of the FIFA leadership vote? Ha, I told myself this was going to be a juicy story.
I knew the now recuperating, broken-legged John Kerry had been to Sochi in Russia, and that city is on schedule to host the next [2018] World cup, using the facilities already in place from the last winter Olympics. Kerry had gone to Putin and Lavrov sign his surrender over the Ukraine after the fwacking --EU-- Europeans had made it plain they were not ready to bail out Petro Poroshenko without a commitment to Minsk II. (That is a Donbass ceasefire protocol, where Donbass is separatist East Ukraine, consisting of the Donetsk and Luhansk peoples republics.)
Could this be an American kick-back, given the current global stand-off between the powers, to lead a boycott of Sochi to embarrass Russia in a round-about way!? Not to mention opening a can of worms for Qatar, the other irregular host, with its irritating Al-Jazeera!? (The UEFA Europeans were playing a high-risk game, on one hand whispering of possible boycotts of one or both of those venues to pile up pressure on the Blatter vote to collapse! on the other hinting at a break-away organisation! --say a white clean FIFA contra a black dirty FIFA! Sport may Unite, but money sure divides!)
