Hearing the right wing media and some in the mainstream media talk about this, you would think Hillary is headed to the slammer for her use of a private server to conduct official business but the reality is closer to nothing at all happening to her over this and certainly nothing of a criminal nature such as being indicted.

Omwenga, this analysis---why Hilary walks free-- boils down to Hilary is too much ESTABLISHMENT to face the music! I can see why the republicans already want Loretta, the AG, to step aside and appoint an independent special investigator. She is an Obama appointee and a Clinton protege, with her objectivity compromised to the bone.

Of course Obama has been cruel in his persecution of whistleblowers, mostly men and women who revealed or risked information less state secret than the ones former secretary of state Hilary Clinton, or former four-star General and ex-head of the CIA, David Patraeus, put to risk. Think Chelsea Manning, Eduard Snowden, Jullian Assange.

Your analysis reveals how this double standard works in Washington. In Kenya we just call it impunity, and hail and rail at a corrupt judicial system. We call it as it is. We do not say we are the best country in the world, no, we just say we are the best in East and central Africa! For that lack of delusion, I think we are mentally healthier than the USA.

Nevertheless there is something happening. Iowa and New Hampshire may be atypical of the USA ---at 93% and 90% white they are practically Whitistans, but the fact that under 30 yrs in the voter bracket, Sanders beats Hilary by a walkover (84%) would indicate the white youth have already reached the forensic conclusion: HILARY IS GARBAGE. BETTER THE HISTORICAL SEWER FOR HER.

Now they say She will win the ETHNIC VOTE and wipe out Sanders, eg in Carolina and Florida. That is black and Latino and native American are all Clintonites! and that this is her salvation!

There is an insult encoded in this loyalty and I hope you recognise it, Omwenga.

But times are changing there too. Just like white youth are rebelling against the establishment, black youth too are showing signs of abandoning the BLACK LOBBY CAUCUS.

The endorsement of Sanders by Garner's daughter, and some rappers CNN would not dare air, is a sign of the times. A former chair of the NAACP too is in the Bernie mix.

Indeed this election cycle is a thriller, Oyominto!

Oyominto, what's true and anyone objective would tell you this, the reason the idea of an independent counsel never caught on in this case is because there are no underlying facts to support one. For example, had the AG not tasked the FBI to look into whether national security was breached by Hillary's use of a private server, after the request was made by the inter-agency intelligence services, then you would have definitely had loud noises to seek an independent counsel. The FBI having taken up the matter, it would be purely partisan politics to call for an independent investigator as the FBI is an independent agency that dances to the tune of neither the AG nor the President even though technically under the direction of both.

Btw, you'll never know from the reporting by both right and left media who often moronically parrot each other but Hillary is not under investigation; rather, the extent to which national security was exposed or not is what the FBI is investigating so all this blah, blah, blah about her being indicted is just that: blah, blah, blah.

Can't exactly say apples and oranges even though tempted but let me say it's a matter of degree: Clinton not being indicted under these circumstances is not exactly impunity because there exists both legal and political reasons not to indict while in Kenya or Africa for that matter reasons strong legal reasons and factual evidence exists to indict but both are overridden by political consideration.

Nevertheless there is something happening. You'll be surprised; the large youth following Sanders has has nothing to do with Hillary but everything to do with two considerations: Pot and free college education! I laugh each time I see the media in its predictable interest trying to make this other than what it is. Go to those rallies and you'll confirm the same.

Actually, there's none. The winning coalition for a Democrat for nomination as presidential candidate in a primary is the same as in the general election: Minorities, women, LGBT. Any Democratic hopeful and that includes Hillary and Sanders must carry all 3 in large numbers to have a chance during the general elections. Hillary just needs to wallop Sanders in South Carolina as revenge for what he did to her in New Hampshire. The rest of the primaries she need only win by whatever margin given she has a lock on super-delegates, that will be enough to have her nominated and take the fight to Republicans where she's expected to beat whoever the wounded nominee emerges from the messy Republican primary.

But times are changing there too. Just like white youth are rebelling against the establishment, black youth too are showing signs of abandoning the BLACK LOBBY CAUCUS

That may be the case but for primary purposes, all Hillary needs is a majority of the votes in each state regardless of the demographics and there is no state from this point on that Sanders comes even remotely close to taking the black vote from her so that's a foregone conclusion regardless of how the young vote.

Now, come general elections, she would have to energize all of these groups to win and that will be a different story with Obama hitting the pavement to help her out--something he cannot do now for obvious reasons.

ON HILARY, SANDERS AND THE ETHNIC VOTE


First: It would be nice to say HRC can not be indicted because she is wholly innocent! I have noticed innocence is used referencing her only in the formal sense: innocent until proven guilty (in a duly constituted court of law perhaps!?)

The FBI was among other things tasked with scouring the private server for evidence of penetration by foreign intelligence service. That that is necessary is already a huge sin. Then there is the question whether any mail on the private server qualifies as CLASSIFIED. With tens of thousands of mail, both private and public, the 'undermanned FBI will take its time, Washingtonian style. That Clinton would have behaved in such a way to easien the breach national security --using less than secure server, is of course a testimonial to impaired judgement. It is as impaired as Patraeus's famous love-caused relapse.

Meanwhile there is a full-blown storm on whether confidential is interchangeable with classified on security issues. I am told all classified stuff were once confidential.

I also understood, that while the use of private mail is not problematic,the use of PRIVATE SERVER is the security issue, and this is the difference with earlier high-placed SD officials. (Colin Powell and Condy Rice for instance). They never used private servers. And this debatable security is why Obama publicly declared her use of private server a mistake. that would be diplo speak

--But why did she do it? (Her motives were far and deep), there are enough experienced staff who would have pointed out to her, that the security of a private server is deeply mistaken given her access to and correspondence over classified data. It is a judgement call, separate from whether the FBI investigation turns up an actual security breach by a 'hostile party' or not.

Had this 'rogue' behaviour ---mistake according to Obama--- come up while she was still heading the state department, I think like Petraeus she would have been toast.

NB: It is accepted the ex-four star general got off very lightly. Plea bargain apart.

Former CIA Director and retired Gen. David Petraeus, whose military career has been overshadowed by charges that he provided classified data to his mistress, has made a deal with the Justice Department in which he will plead guilty to one count of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material.
The deal will allow Petraeus, who rose to the rank of a four-star general before becoming director of the CIA, to avoid a trial and plead guilty to a misdemeanour.

The FBI has to wade over 30,000 mails and distinguish classified from confidential, apart from detecting if any was compromised.

Whistleblowers the type Obama have specially singled out, are those who 'leaked data touching on national security' to unauthorised parties. (Private Manning, then male, leaked a video from Iraq which blew up a massive military cover-up of the deliberate murder of Iraqi civilians. That of course is a moral strength outside the capabilities of Hilary, so there moral worth is definitely oranges and pears to compare!)

Anyway I think the Clinton machine would, on the possibility of a Hilary indictment, should the FBI turn up something, successfully move to have her in a deal like a plea bargain or some similar fix.

FACTUAL EVIDENCE TO INDICT CHAPS IN WASHINGTON.

You mean, that from all the detailed history of CIA overthrowing governments across the world and killing countless civilians in deliberate death squad operations –-like in Colombia and Nicaragua, and thereafter these field operatives moving into senior Washingtonian positions, you actually state there is no PROVABLE impunity in Washington!? The CIA in Honduras also offers a classic case study.

For starters don't you know the names of six people in DC who plotted and authorised 7 assassination attempts on Fidel Castro!?

The reason, Omwenga, why men like Kissinger or Powell (his lying at the UN facilitated mass murder in Iraq) have never been and can not be indicted anywhere, is because the USA is a super-power. And powers get away with all the sh!t they do. That is the prerogative of power, and it must never be confused for 'lack of factual evidence to indict!'

POT AND FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION, AND SANDERS.

BuT Oyominto, this is exactly where the insult to the black community is coded:

1.Lots of blacks are locked in Ghettos with poor schools. Given the high college fees in the USA, and the difficulties of securing a laon, even brainy blacks are closed out. That is why they have historically cherished positive discrimination. Now a man is OFFERING FREE COLLEGE EDUCATION, and the disadvantaged ghettos maroons are not buying! How stupid can one get when still young! It is an amazing feat in stupidity.

Obviously young white boys in the North think a college education on the cheap is the best investment for their future! Not more bombing campaigns across the globe. I think that is smart. And even before the civil war the North has always been smarter and more educational, so do they have the leading trio of MIT, Yale and Harvard! So while blacks were still being lynched if found reading –-literacy was banned for blacks in Mississippi, up North in Masachu they were being admitted to Harvard! Now a northerner is offering free college, and Mississippi blacks are saying No, over my dead body!

ON POT AND HASH and MEDICARE

2. ever since Reagan, how many blacks, as a proportion of the general population, have been incarcerated for possession? I read there are states like Arkansas where 90% of inmates are ethnic minorities, some doing years for possession of as little as a reefer stick. Now here comes Sanders who says Hey, in Scandinavia they aren't that tight-arz about dope, nor high taxes, and look at their social indicators! They even got Universal health care affordable! And kindargartens while mothers go out to work and earn keep! And that earning is not peddling arse!

Again white smart youth are buying wholesale the model. But blacks who are also the poorest MEDICALLY INSURED, are not! That is openly stupid of them blacks. Their own lives do not matter to them!

3. Clinton is a known quantity to blacks. Her husband became prezzo executing even mentally impaired blacks, to show he was tough on crime, tougher than republicans, and he was all southerner breed of white. The Clintons are neo-liberals whose policies decimated –-eg by gentrification-- the black neighbourhoods, even as it rewarded a lackey caucus to spin he was the first black president of the USA! (Of course Tony Morrison only satirically meant he distributed seed in true biblical fashion! Most black men apparently have a very low threshold for can't. Can't wants c.0.ck, can't gets c.0ck! Period. And so was Bill.)


DEMOGRAPHICS

The demographics are even more important than you care to admit, Ori: by a large turn-out, the younger sector of the voter population –---under 30 yrs--- which is the Bernie Sanders hard core, evens out a lot of the historical momentum Hilary has among ethnic grassroots. Yes, the black and latino ESTABLISHMENT is in Hilary's pockets or knickers, but just like the Mardeleine Albrights are finding no automatic loyalty amongst their granddaughters, so too are the black heavyweights not showing face at the blacklivesmatter concerts. And with reason. Clinton must pray for a law turn-out of the young ethnic vote, imagine!

Sanders is a transition figure –--articulating the need to rebel against the priorities of the predator Wall Street, but a kind of tragic hero. A vision of the future. That is why I am watching the statistics and the youth math. How he looses will tell of America's future.

(Will Hilary be forced to throw the kitchen sink at him!? Will he be a leech of a masochist, remembering how Hilary stuck to Obama's coat tails even as Barry galloped from state to state kicking her teeth in!)


NB: Actually back then in the day 2008 or thereabouts, the black caucus and voters, DP establishment and all, dilly-dallied from rallying to Obama's candidature until after the Iowan Northerners had endorsed him over Hilary! They did not believe a first-time black senator from Chicago with a funny name could be the DP's ticket hot shot, let alone get himself elected to PORK!
