SABASABA OVER NKAISSERY'S DEAD BODY
1. TEACHING THE YOUTH ABOUT THE LATE NKAISSERY
General Joseph Nkaissery is dead this SABASABA weekend day. The ODMer turned TNA-er has been, of late, the cabinet secretary for security and Interior affairs. No doubt the nation's official mouth pieces will, on behalf of the people of Kenya, express their deepest regrets and, in choral aggrieved tones, profess the irreparable loss beloved Kenya has suffered on this occasion. The man will be declared all but a saint patriot!
No hassle, that is the way it usually goes in official eulogies where an elite bury one of their own. Ritual grief and praise, a false narrative of stalwart service. And for the rest of the audience, why bother with the critical appreciation of a fresh dead body? Move on! it will soon be forgotten!
But teachers, O poor teachers, especially of the civic affairs and historical matters, will be in a kind of spot Monday, before their attentive to cynical students and bemused pupils. You know those arson-prone shysters! One must make the effort to perceive the pedagogical nightmares we teachers suffer, on one hand corrupting young minds with official lies as per the national myths of their successful politicians, while on the other hand, seeking to fortify their character and mould their worth, demanding the youngsters themselves not grow up into consummate liars and well-paid but mercenary professionals!
Man, its a dog's life for a squirrel's wages! ---we will strike for more benefits soon I tell ya! Our children, like Chineke the bird who learnt to fly nonstop when men learnt to shoot without missing, have figured Kenya out. They want to be Jimmy Wanjigi, funding The Enigma and William Singh in the same election, holding both opposition and government puppet, and all with the proceeds of business illigit! ---Fak hard work!
You feel me! wrestling with the disburbed moral compass of your adolescents!?
Consider this for more in-depth
You see a few years ago, the likes of Jakaswanga were encouraging their students to read and ponder in detail for themselves, the massive, 44-volume document known as the Truth, Justice and Reconciliation report; -- even the final, doctored or edited version presented by the controversy-ridden and disunited TJRC under its even more controversial ambassador, Bethwel Kiplagat.
Integrity seems so important it captured a whole clause in the new constitution, but, for some self-mutilating reason, when there is a job demanding integrity to be done, we find ourselves addicted to shooting ourselves in the foot. We never miss an opportunity to pick the most morally challenged. --Think chicken eaters like Hassan (and now the careless and negligent Wafula Chebukati) to run our 'INDEPENDENT' electoral commission, think connected fraudulent types like Philip Kinisu picked to head the ETHICS and anti-corruption body. And talk about the National Lands Commission or would-be Parliamentary accounting bodies, many more names come straight to mind. The list is infamously voluminous we know!

FOOTNOTE LATER: A considered report on the TJRC report by the erudite John Kamau, formerly of the Daily Nation.
That report, never debated, BICAMERALLY swept under the carpet, by the Jubilee administration under complicit support by CORD, has some recommendations which, now more than ever, shedS light on our necessary national hypocrisy. Leave alone historical injustices.
and more Many people are said to have been killed? (Lotiriri massacre may have not happened after all!?)
No, eye witness and survivor accounts actually put a FIGURE to the many! Yes, it was a massacre, not 'probably' one! --in case truth is a point.
Read that again. Aden Duale and Nkaissery. Now think of your history teacher in class, grinning mischievously at the young minds, asking: why do the Igbo of kina Chinua Achebe say an old woman is always uneasy when dry bones are mentioned?
Smart student answers: old women have a lot of skeletons in their cupboards!
TEACHER: And what about the English with their birds of the same feather flock together?
SMART STUDENT: Duale and Nkaissery are protecting themselves. Duale, though ethnic Somali, does not want massacres against the Somali investigated to the full and responsibility apportioned, for it will reveal the collusion of his family, or in laws like General Mohammed, in the mass killings of fellow Somalis. Nkaissery's motives are obvious.
But feb 23 2013 and april 8th 2013 what happened!?
Now he is dead. And his public obituary will be GREAT MAN. But in the curriculum ------for those who read voluminous NATIONAL documentation like the TJRC report, the Ndung'u Land report, AKIWUMI report, Waki commission, (JM and Ouko)------ the fallen General cuts more a figure of a WAR CRIMINAL than a national hero! (It will be noted the problem is he committed the crimes against his fellow citizens rather than those of a foreign and genetically far enemy! The rule is WAR CRIMES ABROAD GOOD, war crimes at home, CRIMINAL!. That is why Generals Collin Powel and Storman Schwapskorf got away with the massacre of the retreating Iraqi army from Kuwait. It was a sitting duck army, but Colin and Norman killed them all. And got exceptional stars for it!)
Come Monday, our smart students will be raising their hands on points of order or re-directs.
SS: 'Dr. Ole Kiyapi Sir, seeing the eulogies certifying general Joseph's greatness and heroic contribution to Kenya, should we now treat those respective, negative passages of the TJRC as slander, lies and propaganda best left to ever malicious Jaluo lecturers like Jakaswanga to peddle!?'
Then they will confront me with my 'malice' because they know I am always game, and young agile minds love games!
I say over his dead body:
General Nkaissery was an the original soldier. A dependable dog born to obey his master, and that is whomsoever in power. Like all those German SS officers doing Jews in, all those Israeli Defence personnel mowing down Palestinian girls armed with sticks and stones, all those great Egyptian soldiers firing into a Mosque of Morsi supporters, all those suicide bombers blowing themselves up in civilian centers, Nkaissery was merely a soldier OBEYING HIS ORDERS!
Obeying his orders: 'MALIZA HIYO FUJO! TENA HARAKA! ----during war, that is office talk for mass murder!
NB: He defected to Jubilee yes, that bone he saw. But I say, had it been Raila Odinga in power, Nkaissery would not have succumbed to his own reflection brandishing a bigger bone; Nkaissery would have served HE Agwambo with the same dedication he did Moi, Kibaki, Uhuru or any other CiC. Nkaissery was a soldier's soldier. Do and die and not ask why. Without non-questioning ruthless cogs and robots like Joseph Nkaissery, armies don't and wont work.
Soldiers who think will overthrow you, or rival you for power!
No!?

Kenya: TJRC to present findings to the president
05/02/2013
The Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission TJRC is eventually set to present its findings and recommendations to the president.
The team is expected to present its massive report comprising of 4 volumes to President Uhuru Kenyatta Thursday, one day to the expiry of its term tomorrow (Friday).
The report is divided into chapters based on key violations including land, torture and ethnic violence among others will unravel historical injustices as gathered by the commission to various communities and their perpetrators as well as possible remedies.
The commission had for the better part of its tenure hit headlines for the wrong reasons owing to controversies surrounding Ambassador Bethwel Kiplagats chairmanship.
At one point Kiplagat quit the commission due to mounting pressure attributed to his alleged involvement in the Wagalla Massacre in North Eastern.

That report, never debated, BICAMERALLY swept under the carpet, by the Jubilee administration under complicit support by CORD, has some recommendations which, now more than ever, shedS light on our necessary national hypocrisy. Leave alone historical injustices.
It recommended that Nkaissery be investigated and possibly prosecuted over his role in Operation Nyundo.
Nkaissery, then an army major, is among the senior military officers the TJRC accused of gross violations of human rights, including torture, sexual violence and murders. He also is accused of having sold thousands of cattle and transported them in army vehicles to Kitale, Eldoret, Nakuru, and Nairobi.
Soldiers are accused of confiscating animals, which they either shot dead, ate or sold. The result was that many were killed and others maimed, says the report.

and more
It is from the sound of the helicopters, lotiriri, that the massacre that followed got its name. During this massacre, many people are said to have been brutally killed and many injured by the state security agents carrying out the operation, the report states.
No, eye witness and survivor accounts actually put a FIGURE to the many! Yes, it was a massacre, not 'probably' one! --in case truth is a point.
Mzee Atoligole Losute became the first person to surrender his gun, but when he tried to raise the certificate, the helicopter dropped down and then he was told: Because you are a good person, we will take you round to be an example to other people.

So, when that Mzee was flown off by the helicopter, his wives saw him go inside the helicopter and after going round, he was seen hooked or tied on his neck to the helicopter and then he was flown off and went round the helicopter and after about 30 minutes, that old man died. He was thrown away at the border of Kenya and Uganda.
Another person who was treated the same way was Mzee Achelo. When he raised his certificate to show that he was a peaceful person, he was sprayed with bullets by the helicopter and three others died at a place called Karamel in Nikunyau Division, which was a location then, he recounted.
The report notes that summons for him to appear before it notwithstanding, "Major (Rtd) Nkaissery failed to appear before the Commission for hearings on 23rd February 2013 and again on 8th April, 2013."
In its findings and recommendations, the TJRC observed that the Director of Public Prosecution needed to prosecute Nkaissery.
In the year following the release of the TJRCs report, fewer public figures have been more visible in pressing either for its revision or delay in implementation than the good general, often aided by Majority Leader Aden Dualle.

Nkaissery has defended himself ,saying he couldn'tt be accused of committing a crime while leading an operation ordered by the National Security Council chaired by then President Moi. He has also disputed that there were killings.
TJRC should have started with other top army chiefs and provincial administrators who coordinated the operation, he said.
Nkaissery has said he was ready to be investigated, but he also threatened to sue the TJRC for adversely mentioning him without giving him an opportunity to defend himself.
I am consulting my lawyers to determine the next cause of action," he said.
