I have stated in the past that Ruto's team of legal experts are all quacks. Here he is again discussing matters pending in court in the press, in this case his latest land issue. This is not the first time he has taken pending court cases to the press. Can't his advisors advise him to fire his legal experts and looks for some more competent ones?? Well, with advisors like Kituny, Keter and the other Ruto, go figure. Bure kabisa.

It's always the small things which take this big time crooks down...Al Capone for all his heinous crimes was taken down by a tax case & R.Nixon by some unnecessary office break-in...Ruto has very little wiggle room on this he can't claim Muteshi is Raila's cousin neither can he claim he is an ICC witness...
You cannot fool people forever...we can all remember the sad sight of Katana Ngala (na ile ile leather Jacket ya black) in court looking almost destitute...Ruto may be a wealthy man but its apparent his wealth is based on stealing and more stealing I wonder which of his companies is a highly profitable going concern after his massive legal bills and abandonment by political benefactors he could end up in a very bad state like Ngala...maybe that's why his eyes look bloodshot and he can only preach one tune...

Damn. The dodgy Ruto story continues. Soma hapa: the-star.co.ke/national/national/67769-ruto-fights-off-claims-of-land-grabbingAccording to Ruto, Dorothy Yator was 8 years old when she acquired the land. Ruto lies that he has been MP for 15 years and nobody was on the land for some years (apparently, this is how KANU crooks used to grab seemingly empty land), yet Muteshi and his workers were busy farming there in 2007. He cannot explain how he was busy acquiring land when the country was still messed up with strife. The land sale was concluded late 2008. Ruto says he did due diligence. No no no, the ministry of land says all their records are clear. The land belongs to Adrian Muteshi and there has not been any transfer and the adjudication and settlement board knows nothing about that. Interestingly, he had to address the press personally. Even his lawyers were smart enough to scatter.

This is what is called jumping from the frying pan into the fire itself. Ruto suffers from a terrible syndrome of grandiosity and exaggerated self-importance. He actually believes he has the prerogative and self-entitlement to virtually do anything in Kenya, especially within the confines of Rift Valley. Unfortunately, this is a fatal affliction as time will soon tell. • Nobody should be above the law. It is therefore the height of brazen impunity to engage the public (through a press conference) in discussing specific matters under judicial review in court.
• Even stupidity should have limits. It is detrimental to one’s own case to make prejudicial statements that may turn out to harm your own ongoing case. I’ve repeated umpteen times that Ruto is one courageous and eloquent demagogue; but demonstrably very unintelligent as an individual. It is the latter trait that will likely lead to his political & legal demise. In this stupid press conference (where he was reckless enough to actually take and answer trick questions), Ruto inadvertently claimed the mythical “Dorothy Yator” acquired the land in question in 1980. He then slapped documents revealing her so called ID number (ID No 12830496) out in public – the very pointer to a phantom being. A quick check reveals the year of birth as 1973. When asked where Dorothy Yator is, Ruto retorts back – he doesn’t know! The reminiscence of missing key-witnesses in his previous case of grabbing land from Ngong Forest and selling to KPC comes in here.
• Besides non-existent key witnesses, it also turns out that Dorothy was only 7 years old in 1980 when she supposedly acquired the said land. Ruto explained that “Dorothy” only transferred the land into her name in 1991 when she reached 18.
• What is going to interest Moreno Ocampo and the OTP at the ICC is another peculiar date. According to Ruto, Dorothy ‘registered’ the land in August 20 2007 – just prior to the elections. This is the same period in which Ocampo says Ruto was busy preparing his “Network” for anticipated post-election evictions (whether ODM won or lost elections). Ruto’s limelight-hogging press conference has hereby illuminated the simultaneous and smooth link between planning for violent evictions and planning for subsequent land transfers. Immediately after the PEV eviction, Ruto connects the dots by claiming he ‘bought’ the land from Dorothy Yator in September 2008; shortly after NARA Serena talks were concluded and he safely assumed duties as Agriculture Minister. Hmmmmmmmm!!!!!! What a violent robber this fella exposes himself as! How naïve this fella is really baffles.

Some things are beginning to make sense to me now. A few months ago he was screeming on top of his lungs that the government should urgently resettle all IDPs. Never did he push that the government to facilitate the IDPs to return to their lands. Kumbe he had a hidden agenda

www.the-star.co.ke/national/national/67769-ruto-fights-off-claims-of-land-grabbingParagragh 9 makes an intresting READ. He said that Yator's husband was an employee of the Lands ministry but he did not know where exactly he worked. Dorothy's ID number suggests that she acquired it in 1991 or 1992 when she reached 18 years of age. This would have made her seven years old in 1980 when she bought the land. Asked if he knew Dorothy's age and whether he could have bought land from a minor, Ruto said it was not his business to know other people's age.Wow i think when blood is spilled confusion reigns. Lord have Mercy 7 year olds buying Land and selling it to Ministers when they are **yrs. How smart.

Is this bogus ID number why Ruto was bold enough to hold a press conference asking Muteshi to go to CID? He was so eager to call out Muteshi on fraud he forgot to make his own Ms Yator cover story have a credible timeline. Doesn't this guy realise he's giving the ICC evidence that he profited from the clashes & ought to be behind bars for it? No wonder his lawyers weren't with him. Just another case for them to take up at a later date.

It's plain contempt of the court. Ruto's instincts seemed so sure nobody from the entire Judiciary & DPP would accost him with fresh charges - for court contempt. This makes the courts actually look bandia for real. I think RUTO is now the most feared politician in Jukwaa and ODM. One needs to check the acreage of threads dedicated to pulling him down and the amount of colors used that would put the infamous Mr. Marangi to shame or make the late Tiskie turn in his Jukwaa grave due to envy. Instead of spending so much time trying to deface his name and reputation, whose deficiency we have been reminded so many times that I lost count, it would be far much better if that energy was directed to advertising the good qualities of his nemesis. Owuor Yes Owuor, But dont you think that the best strategy to outwit your nemesis is to point out his weakest points capitalize on the and you gain mileage. I think ODM is doing great let us give accolades where they belong.

I remember so much being said about this land grabbing with its potential to add fuel to the Rutos case at the Hague and now this:
ICC wants details on claim Ruto seized land
The international criminal court has formally written to the government seeking information about a case in which which a farmer has accused Eldoret North MP William Ruto of grabbing his 100 acres of land at the height of the post-election violence.
The ICC wants more details about the dispute in which Mr Adrian Muteshi contends that Mr Ruto and his agents evicted him from the farm near Turbo in Mr Ruto’s constituency.
Mr Muteshi has told the High Court that the MP evicted him and his workers and has illegally occupied the property for the last four years.
The ICC request is significant because it indicates that the prosecution is considering taking up the matter to bolster their case against Mr Ruto who faces charges of crimes against humanity in The Hague.
One of the counts Mr Ruto has to defend himself against is forceful displacement of populations. The MP last week denied grabbing the land. (READ: Ruto wants land grab claim probed)
He said he had asked the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) director to investigate the matter and prosecute those responsible for the alleged eviction. He says he bought the land procedurally from one Dorothy Yator.
“The allegations are very malicious. The land is in my constituency, and I have been an MP there for 15 years. Nobody has been living on it since 1992,” said Mr Ruto.
According to official figures, 1,133 people were killed and hundreds of thousands others displaced in the weeks of mayhem which followed the disputed presidential election results. Share This Story 5Share

The allegations that Mr Ruto grabbed land from an individual during the election period may complicate his prospects when the trial begins.
On March 3, ICC chief prosecutor Luis Moreno-Ocampo’s spokesperson Florence Olara told the press that the Nairobi case may be of interest:
“The prosecution case against Ruto is for murder, deportation or forcible transfer of population and persecution,” she said while declining to discuss the details of the matter.
The ICC has also asked the government to shed more light on the controversial document tabled in Parliament purporting to show that the British Government was meddling in the investigations into the Kenya case at the ICC. The British High Commission has dismissed the letter as a forgery.
Under the Rome Statute, the State is obligated to cooperate with ICC requests for information from the court in The Hague.
Section 87 (1,a) states: “The Court shall have the authority to make requests to States Parties for cooperation.
“The requests shall be transmitted through the diplomatic channel or any other appropriate channel as may be designated by each State Party upon ratification, acceptance, approval or accession. " Where a state party fails to comply with a request to cooperate by the court contrary to the provisions of this Statute, thereby preventing the Court from exercising its functions and powers under this Statute, the Court may make a finding to that effect and refer the matter to the Assembly of States Parties or, where the Security Council referred the matter to the Court, to the Security Council.”
Some major prayers are surely required for this lost soul. How does one get out of a self dug hole while they continue to dig? That should be the question the gullible nation which believe in Ruto must now ask themselves.

Well aware that the ICC is keenly following this case, Ruto’s lawyers are desperately trying to deny that Adrian Muteshi was evicted at all from his 100 acre farm. An attempt is being made to rewrite the date and circumstances under which Ruto took possession of the land. But Muteshi seems to have good lawyers. Note that Ruto refused to compensate Muteshi (as the latter demanded) not because he doesn’t have enough cash, but precisely because doing so would be an admission of guilt (forceful land grab). Keep an eye on this case in the next two months. www.the-star.co.ke/national/national/73195-ruto-idp-fail-to-agree-on-disputed-eldoret-land

You are right that Ruto's problem was the admission of guilt. In that regard he refused to pay compensation and to cover the legal costs for Muteshi. Then Ruto and his Kigen went on the offensive trying to scare off the guy by claiming Muteshi was not living at the farm as he alleged and therefore was not evicted. Ruto even claimed that for all the 15 or so years he has been the M.P of the area that land was vacant. You would think Ruto lived in the land in question or watched it everyday. I think they thought Mr. Muteshi would be scared of having a legal battle and accept the offer of land without a title deed. The real problem for Ruto now is that the Judge has already been told by none other Ruto himself that the land belongs to Muteshi. That the so called land transfer was illegal. In fact Ms Yator was seven years old when she is alleged to have acquired the land. That Ms Yator has been nowhere to be seen. That is very strange.. If someone sold me stolen land and I am in trouble for it, I am hounding that person as a witness to the court or asking they be summoned to appear in court. Ruto does not seem to want Ms Yator anywhere near the court. With all the information available to the judge which are highly prejudicial to Ruto because of his own admissions the judge will be inclined to rule in favour of Muteshi in just about every issue specifically the fact that he occupied the land until forced out after the 2007 PEV. Then what will Ruto do? And the more this thing drags on the more likely the bubble of a Ms Yator owning the land and selling it to Ruto may burst. Then what? This is what is called being between a rock and a hard place. Whichever way this thing goes Ruto will be the loser. It is now a matter of how deep the lose will be. That is a pretty bad spot to be in.
