Great speeches, a bit plastic though.
Likoni was pandemonium,
How did Tononoka & Laico Regency fair?

Likoni was a sea of humanity...Tononoka was like my average village baraza..obviously, Kimunya's Laico was an exclusive club......as for TNA, it was yet another round of useless speeches we have always listened to.....Can someone please tell me, other than his huge loads of money, what has Uhuru achieved in Business, Public life or even private life that makes him "the best leader"? If you look closely at those guy following him around, they are bunches of either monied Mt. Kenya mafias or broke guys who wait just for a drop from his pockets.....someone proof me otherwise

Give it to them, they tried. But the hard work is only beginning. We are still waiting for ODM to launch.

Fabulous launch from the money boy. But what message did it send to the average Kenyan? True true Bob, this was all glitz and glam, things that multi millionaires do in the evenings and weekends in their exclusive clubs of the haves and the have mores...this one is for the moneyed and their buddies. Problem with these aristocrat ways is that they have to ask for votes from the ordinary mwananchi; commoners in the squalor and filth of ghettos and slums, low class and working class citizens, rural folk...Maina Njenga (street thug) has a voice and message that resonates with the reality of ordinary mwananchi better than this black aristocrat...My verdict: Kula kwa Uhuru; Kura zitagawiwa na wengine (Tuju, Musa Lia, etc) baadaye kwa debe, depending on ICC or Chapter six of Katiba... Tuko Na Agwambo...! Kwangu ni Chungwa Mara Tano...

That was colourful, a show of money power, but failed to address the common man issues. Will Uhuru be bold enough to address land issues?

The BOSS of The National Alliance (TNA) believes
Uhuru really believes….
The Prince believes in fairy tales….
Muthamaki believes Kenyans will forget his role as BOSS of the Mungiki underworld…
He likely believes retaliatory PEV (Naivasha, Nakuru etc) is already forgotten...
just like he beileves voters will forget who Kenya's biggest land owner grabber is.

Glitz and glam of a red carpet event... not for your average Joe... Wenye nchi wenyewe...! okolowaka This is why politics can be very unforgiving. Politicians need to understand their weaknesses and avoid re-enforcing them. Uhuru's weakness is the silver spoon in the mouth thing. When Kenyans saw Mama Ngina the other day with Uhuru at centre stage they know those are the aristocrats. Unfortunately for them they got their wealth by blatant robbery of Kenyans. When Uhuru and his handlers throw the master of glitz and glamour in the city folks know those are not for them even though all the fun is because of their stolen wealth. In Uhuru they see what ails the country. It does not help Uhuru much to rub that in. His job is to avoid glitz. He will learn.

Political Pundits
Let's focus on the issues that DPM raised, stop the side shows..... What issues? Did Uhuru actually raise any issues? What are those issues? It is amazing how people like Uhuru can actually make a speech and say nothing. I see people like Kamale coming up about issues and themselves unable to find any of those issues to tell us about. If you want to see how politicians can use these launching things to actually raise issues look at the one Raila did in 2007 at the same KICC. It broke new ground and pretty much changed his fortune in the GE. Kenyans could relate to what the man was saying. So far in all the party launchings of their annointed presidential candidates nobody has even talked to Kenyans about the issues they deal with everyday. It is understandable. Uhuru talking about fighting corruption can make people throw up. Uhuru talking about the land nightmare in the country will be offensive to many Kenyans. Uhuru talking about ensuring the new katiba is fully operational with genuine devolution wouldn't really fool anybody. Uhuru cannot talk about injustice and impunity in the country. He is the very epitome of that. These are very important things to Kenyans as we speak but Uhuru can't touch most of that. So what can he really talk about. Just talk about "believe", I don't know in what. Talk about handing over leadership to the young etc when we can see the young guns around him like Sonko, Kibogo, the lunatic Waititu, the hitman Thuo etc. Yeah, those young people would benefit from Uhuru's State House but is that really the face of young Kenya? No most of those are young criminals and the very worst politicians. These people are very limited in the scope of stuff they can genuinely delve into with Kenyans. It is the handicap of history some of them have to live with. Can you guys read Uhuru's speech again and tell me which issues the man raised that really resonates with the practical things Kenyans face today. I can't find anything. Not even on the bread and butter issues of tackling food security in the country. Look at the way Kenyans are drowning everywhere in floods and a month from now we are going to be having dead crops because the rains have stopped. If I was making a political speech today I am coming with a serious take into the vicious cycle of food insecurity. That is what Kenyans are trying to figure out in their one acre farms as we speak. Put a comprehensive plan on the table. Education reforms , put a plan on the table. Hell even take on Nyong'o with the mess is the ministry of health. Put plan on the table. These manenos of oh we are going to offer something to those who fail nominations is just for Uhuru and his friends. What does that have to do with Kenyans. I don't know who write these things for these people but I may consider starting a franchise to help some of these chaps. That kaspeech of Uhuru has zero substance. Even the DN tried to spin and couldn't come with much.
