PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon woman on trial for the murder of her 4-year-old son believed the boy was gay and that was a motive behind the deadly beatings, a prosecutor said. Jessica Dutro's son Zachary died in August 2012, days after collapsing at the homeless shelter where his family was living southwest of Portland. Washington County Judge Don Letourneau ruled Wednesday, after jurors were released for the day, that a Facebook message from Dutro to her boyfriend was admissible evidence, The Oregonian newspaper reported (http://is.gd/rfralf ). In the message, Dutro told her boyfriend, Brian Canady, that Zachary was "facing the wall" because he had made her angry. Her son was going to be gay, she wrote, using a slur. "He walks and talks like it. Ugh." Canady would have to "work on" Zachary, she wrote. The message established Dutro's motive for inflicting a pattern of abuse, prosecutor Megan Johnson said. Dutro assaulted three of her children, but Zachary received the harshest treatment, authorities said. The judge ruled additional web searches done by Dutro were also admissible. On Aug. 16, 2012, the day her son's life support was terminated, Dutro searched terms such as anger management and parenting classes, prosecutors said. She also searched listings for free stuff and sex with strangers, they said. Earlier this month, Canady pleaded guilty to manslaughter and assault for his role in the homicide. The boy died of blunt-force trauma to his abdomen and a delay in medical treatment, prosecutors said. Dutro, 25, is charged with murder, murder by abuse and second-degree assault. ___ Information from: The Oregonian, www.oregonlive.com

I never stopped revisiting this topic. Many many times before. The more I thought about it, the more I realised its complexity. It is big, I am telling you. Very big and deeper than we can imagine, that I began to think perhaps it deserves a book! A post in jukwaa will be a desrvice to our esteemed members and the topic itself.
How can I explain what I have discovered in such a few words, without being taken out of context, I wondered. And being understand, I feared. Without malice or prejudice, I prayed. How do I?
I started with: why do some people become gays, or lesbians, or something else?
Some people think that it could be genetics. But that suggestion has never been conclusive. No one to date has managed to identify the gene, despite the genome! No, it isn't there.
Others have firmly stated that being gay is entirely upto one's choice. But again, even gays themselves have denied that to be so. And some suggested that perhaps it has something to do with how someone has been brought up. Neechu. Wrong again. Indoctrination and brain washing? I don't think so!
What is it then that makes people realise that they are gay or lesbians? It may appear that not even gays themselves know what the answer to that question is. It is as if one just realises that they are, but not knowing how they have become to be so.
I don't know. I may be naive to think that I have got the answer to the million dollar question and it is pretty scary! Certainly interesting. But I have to wait for time. That is if time will wait for me. And if it does, I promise you, I hope I will be able to convince you that even Duale or Museveni himself could have easily been two of the prominent GAY men that we know of. But for their sheer lack! Destiny, I say.
It is such a simple theory I know, but it might just explain things. Things that have always been before us, but we would not see them. I will try. I really want to write about it! Soon, InshaAllah.

NB: Yes, the church and flowing-eyes born-againers like DP Ruto did opposed the constitution from the very outset. www.nation.co.ke/counties/nakuru/gays-and-lesbians-lobby-Wabukala-opposes/-/1183314/2701250/-/922skqz/-/index.html where is Nok to tell the clergy how in some African communities, a woman can marry a woman! And a group of men can be in the same marriage with a group of men --it is called a collective marriage. When one starts to say something goes against RICH AFRICAN TRADITIONS! He better be informed just HOW RICH that/those traditions are/is. And Lo, do we not know there is an African tradition independent of both Muslim and Christian faiths, or does the Bishop have the notion African traditions are aligned in toto to those two faiths? I admit this constitution was always gonna be a problem to most people. It contains some mind-boggling ideas to the usual petty-headed simpleton conservative, corrupt elite --religious or secular. Eg: chapter six the integrity clause. This was a horror which needed be vapourised from the constitution, and indeed it was never OPERATIONALISED. Eugene Wamalwa, now back in cabinet, had the brief to kill it off with 22 amendments.. Some of us remember. Ati the word gay and lesbian are un-African!? How about fcuck and suck!? -My wife warned me the new constitution gives her the right to be licked until Kingdom come!? (''I did not know that. We will have to amend that one like we did chapter six with Eunice Wamalwa.'' I said. -But I gathered from her, it also gives men the right to be sucked by their spouses until the last drop! This one need not be amended, methinks.) Githu Muigai, the states pre-eminent legal scholar has gone to appeal. He was always destined to be a dissappointment. whether at the ICC or at home. www.nation.co.ke/news/gay-lesbian-lobby-AG-appeal/-/1056/2701356/-/vsrexy/-/index.html Are there pastoral African cultures where male adolescents are encouraged to fcuck livestock in periods of practice, as a method of achieving mastery over their ejaculations? So that when they finally meet a woman, they will guarantee her a minimum of three orgasms?Yes, in central Africa there are tribes where women negotiate the total orgasms before the yes to bed. History taught them men can be fake, promising more than they can deliver. Pre mature ejaculation used to be a death sentence during the matriarchy power area, to deal with bouncing cheques in this regard, or should we say appetites whetted then left unquenched!? Fcucking animals is called bestiality by other post-renaissance cultures. Of course modern women have recourse to VIBRATORS, or other long service, untiring battery powered technological devices boasting innovative outgrowths to search, find and whip the G-spot to ecstasy. I suggest the constitution keep off sex between adults. It is a dark murky area better left unlit. And the church must keep off the constitution, but most importantly, NEVER NEVER NEVER use culture to support a PAROCHIAL RELI-BASED MORAL ARGUMENT. Culture!? Waaawu, remember he heard that he reached for his gun, Joseph Goebbels. He knew how terrifying culture is!

In the communities where women marry women...it is not for a lesbian relationship but a form of 'refined surrogacy' where the married woman serves as the child bearer for the other woman with her husband. It is not a 'menage a trois' arrangement.
But then going back to the story itself, I do honestly wonder what rights the GLBT activists are looking for that are not in the constitution apart from a back door attempt at legitimizing their activities which in essence have a criminal bearing - if we look at the penal code i.e. having sexual intercourse contrary to the rules of nature! In fact the constitution gives them the right to go against nature for what happens in the privacy of your house is essentially protected unless you are committing a crime!
So what are the rights that the GLBT would be looking for? Discuss.

Who said homos don't need God's blessing in their unions? I think gays have reason to lobby against this excommunication by the clergy! Who really knows the mind of God? Not even the pope of Canteburry me says!

Apparently his view is in line with the Kenyan Constitution that the only legal marital union is that of man and woman who obey the call of "go forth and multiply". How do you expect the union of two men or women to 'multiply'....its like the two magnetic poles!!!

How do you expect the union of two men or women to 'multiply'....its like the two magnetic poles!!! Kamalet, You know the good Lord in his Almightiness, may be more open minded than we dare imagine. Homophobia, like doctrinal enmity between sects ---say between Sunnis and Shiites, is more a construct of the mind of man I think. The bible being God's word through Man's pen, if you see what I mean. If what you say is true of the Kenyan constitution, then indeed there is need for the LGBT lobby, to open it up. 1. They can obey the call to go multiply and fill the eart by the means you indicated earlier for women: ''surrogacy''. The men can find ''baby mules''! (you know, like rich American women ''hire the wombs'' of poor Sri-Lankan/Indian women to bear (their outside the ovary) fertilised eggs. (pregnancy will ruin their figures I hear!) here is another pastor who agrees with you Kamalet! www.nation.co.ke/news/Church-faults-court-ruling-in-favour-of-gays/-/1056/2702192/-/wh28vwz/-/index.html
