www.facebook.com/video.php?v=933464153340150&set=vb.643875235632378&type=2&theaterA Digital Essay by Onyango OlooChild abuse and molestation takes many forms. The Kenyan policemen who brutalized traumatized and terrified primary school children- some as young as six, many of them attending school for the very first time-were obscene and pornographic as the pedophile predators who prey on equally innocent victims to exercise their sadistic domination. As a parent, tears flowed down my face as I watched the 7 O’clock news on Kenyan television. About half an hour earlier, listening to the Dira ya Dunia Kiswahili newscast on the BBC World Service I was horrified to hear a journalist from that British media house bludgeon an outraged activist Boniface Mwangi with accusations that he and other human rights activists were wrong to allegedly use the pupils as essentially human shields, blaming the protestors for pushing the kids in harm’s way. I liked Boniface’s prompt quip, castigating the BBC for the police brutality and demanding the immediate arrest of the private developer who is allegedly a well connected top politician. I saw Dr. Mohammed Swazuri, the Chair of the National Land Commission reaffirm that the public land legally belongs to Lang’ata Primary School having received an allotment 40 years ago-in 1974. In the same segment, Charity Ngilu, the Cabinet Secretary, who in her heyday was famous for storming police stations to demand the freedom of arrested protestors, was playing rather coy, claiming that her office was still “investigating” the “true owner” of the grabbed school playground. She later confirmed that the school does indeed own the playground. It was a veritable festival of land grabbing exposes on the January 19, 2015 evening news- with an angry confrontation between Naivasha residents and their MP who is said have stolen 10 title deeds including that of an elderly woman and another incident in Kajiado where inhabitants have been similarly defrauded. Personally, as angry as I am,I am far from being surprised by these grabbing scandals featuring the high and mighty, especially those linked to Kenya’s political and economic elites. Apart from the detailed catalogue in the 2004 Ndung’u Report, the much maligned TJRC produced a hefty 4 volume Final Report meticulously chronicled all the major land grabbing scams indicting all the major culprits from 1963 to 2013 including Mzee Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi and their close associates. On a more direct visceral note, I, Onyango Oloo, was shot in the arm by an arrow wielding goon employed by the PCEA church to guard a grabbed plot which is actually a protected wetland along Peponi Road in Westlands, right here in Nairobi at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 12, 2014. My comrade who I accompanied on that day, Davinder Lamba was clobbered viciously on the back with an iron bar by the same assailants. Our crime? Walking on the public Peponi Road on our way for a rendezvous with local MP Timothy Wanyonyi to strategize on the issue of that very grabbed piece of wetland which I am informed the PCEA wants to transform into an isle of luxury apartments for sale and rent. The adoption of the 2009 National Land Policy in 2009; the promulgation of the Constitution in 2010 or the launch of the National Land Commission has done nothing to stem the culture of impunity among Kenya’s high and mighty. Who is the private developer who grabbed the playground of Lang’ata Primary School? There are whispers that he is a well connected top politician in the Jubilee government People are saying on Facebook and elsewhere on social media that the person in question is actually Deputy President William Samoei Ruto. Is this true? " Onyango Oloo Nairobi Kenya 11:25 PM, Monday, January 19, 2015

During the Fidel Odinga burial festival, the riff-raff were in no mood to show any respect to the two female cabinet secretaries, the lady walk-like-a-duck Rachel, and the strangely named Charity. They were heckled and missiled a bit. But the dust had not died down than the top dogs in the ODM the would-be Luo gentlemanly sectors of the chattering classes cascaded upon the republic, an effusion of condemnations at the address of the riff-raff, and apologetics at the centre of power. My opinion was a young Turk like Namwamba was walking a tight-rope high in the sky, and he was well-warned to beware. Now, between James Orengo, the master of ceremonies on the Fidel Odinga burial day, and Charity Ngilu who Oloo describes as coy, faced with the Lang'ata primary school land-grab, one easily finds the custodians of impunity at the lands docket. This is their mess. Current and former Lands secs. And, mayie yawa, these political scumbags are the things the riff-raff are suppose to show some respect!? to cheer and peacefully listen to as they spew more nonsense in their lip-service to social justice? Elijah Maina is small fish. A stupid fall-guy. --- James Orengo and Charity Ngilu, That is where the buck stops. And looking at the pictures of the kids tear-gassed and betrayed by their own country, lets beware, land, that is a dangerous issue. Nations do tend to loose their tempers over it. The instincts of the riff-raff at the Fidel funeral were pretty (puke)good. They know rot when they smell it! A pity my best man Tawfiq got a cold and cannot smell, got a cataract and cannot see, got a mind and parked it dormant in a garage! Where is my Mbuvi Sonko!? he is not in the Ndung'u report as a landg-rabber. Kaunga is his game! A devil' choice: Kaunga vs land-grabbing tear-gassers of kids! A pity too, my Samoei hero's name keeps on cropping up in rotten business --like Yebei, and now this! I do not want to think of a famous Shakespeare line that starts the story of a royal house of Denmark!

Good for you Kenyan police. I know of a country where police defied the authority when asked to demolish an illegal building occupied by homeless people.
Am pretty sure when asked to dump infants at sea, they will ask how deep they should go.
So here the Kenyan police actually agreed to disperse demonstration by kids, really? Are they robots? No wonder some of them got injured, stupid.

Much as Ahmednassir Abdulahhi has denied any link with WSR & the Weston Hotel, it's interesting that the shareholder identified as Patrick Osiero (sic) is distancing the hotel from the land grab: The hotel’s lawyer, Mr Ahmednasir Abdullahi said the belief that Mr Ruto was the owner of the hotel was misplaced. The deputy president is not even a director of the hotel next to Wilson Airport. Weston Hotel management also sought to distance itself from the controversial land. Mr Abdullahi spoke as a Mr Patrick Osiero, whom he said is the main shareholder and director of the hotel, declared he had no interest in the controversial parcel of land that was the scene of ugly incidents between protesters, among them school children, and police on Monday. “He (Deputy President) is neither a shareholder nor a director of Weston Hotel. It is a popular belief that he is the owner but that is not true. The hotel is run by a man called Osiero who is the director and main shareholder,” Mr Abdullahi said on phone. www.nation.co.ke/news/Ruto-not-owner-of-hotel-linked-to-land-feud/-/1056/2595030/-/j0ramj/-/index.htmlAnyone who knows Patrick Osiero knows he's a William Ruto front man. But as we know those who finger bigwigs in KE get bit. Jukwaa may be in for dark days ahead with the allegation & photo posted by Admin above. The same article alludes to a Harban Singh as being behind the Airport View Housing Ltd, the group behind the land grab. What's going to happen to the actual land-grabbers? Most probably nothing. Boniface Mwangi, on the other hand, may find himself arrested for providing the school children with the placards for OCCUPY PLAYGROUND that they held yesterday...

Uhuru Kenyatta barks again: but will he bite this time?
Conseder: NB: 1. Could any developer have had the audacity to ERECT A WALL on stolen land without proper power cover upwards? And 2. Proceeded without the Nairobi city/county hall being in the know!?
–--Land: does Uhuru Kenyatta really want the ''issues resolved'' as he puts it, or he is just crying out aloud for impotence, bluffing like he has so often done on corruption: anybody remember his staggering confession that it was right in his office, and the security dockets, where the greatest corruption network existed? And then? There is a bill under preparation to SHIELD THE AUDITOR GENERAL FROM ACCESSING THE EXPENDITURES, ACCOUNTS OF THE SECURITY DOCKETS! yAP! So, who wants to bet a bottle of local gin boy Muigai is gonna follow up on the bark at Ngilu and co?
lAND!? lets say it would be a fitting irony, if the scion of the greatest landlord family and top beneficiary of the, to put it mildly, post-independence irregular land policies, became the sheriff who set things right, half a century later!
A damni long shot! me reckons!

Always nice to know Jukwaa has always been very hot on land. Here is the late handle Job: WHO OWNS THE LAND? BLOOD AND SOIL ISSUE.jukwaa.proboards.com/thread/1872 Around this time, 7 years ago: On Jukwaa One must add, through the mouth of Charity Ngilu and AG Githu Muigai, answering questions from Bensouda at the Hague. --We can not do a FISHING EXPEDITION for you! NGILU: there are millions of files, and we are not yet into digitalisation. A manual search? give me a decade ! And then, President Uhuru owns no land! NB: Land reform: we will get there yes. Perhaps in a mess!

Before there was Ngilu, there was Orengo. Before Orengo, Kimunya. Before Kimunya .... all the way to Jackson Angaine!
Lets say this lands thing is one hell of a nut. Cracking it needs a sledge-hammer!
meanwhile theater and side shows continue. That Ruto is neither a director nor registered shareholder of the offeding hotel business, does not mean he is innocent. Ahmednassir Abdulahi, the Grand Mullah, can not pretend he does not know of FRONT MEN and FRONT COMPANIES.
How else would Somali Pirates have caused a real-estate bubble in Nairobi and other Kenyan urban centerss? Anyone ever heard of a registered Somali Pirate Company in Kenya, trading stuff?
NB: There is a guardian (UK newspaper) expose of yester years about NAIROBI LAWYERS AND ACCOUNTING FIRMS WHO SPECIALISED IN THIS DEPARTMENT.
The grand mullah is a very innocent boy. Not yet in the know of the ways of the world. But again, he could just be another rotten city lawyer!
Any coin tosses?!

I can't take Mr. President seriously when he says that the fact that traditionally corrupt and inept offices delvered their corruption and ineptness, yet again, is more disappointing to him than the fact that the police used arms agaist primary school children. The latter is what is most disappointing and shocking. The former, we are used to! Uhuru was just politicking, and I must wonder whether his soft words on the police is an indication of timidity or respect.

Uhuru was just politicking, and I must wonder whether his soft words on the police is an indication of timidity or respect. I have every confidence in Mr. President. For starters, he knows exactly where the head of the Corruption Snake is: his own office. That seems to be more than "the relevant authorities", such as EACC, know. And he has a strategy for sorting them out: wajipange! Here comes Warning No. 97 ... It might appear a dubious strategy, but think about it: if you were engaged in corruption, and there was this president guy always making noises at you ... wouldn't you change your ways just to get some peace-and-quiet?

He, he, he ... His Deputy Excellency is learning small-small. New Money always wants to show that it has arrived, and the "need" overwhelms the common-sense that says if you want to hide what you own, you shouldn't be on TV inspecting it and showing it off. You won't catch the real Owners Of Kenya doing that sort of thing.

NB: Land reform: we will get there yes. Perhaps in a mess! Apparently that's the only thing that works with some Kenyans (the people who are known by people who know people) prefer it--the hard way: * The attempted "final solution" (2007-2008) in the Rift Valley is seen in some places to have failed. But did it? It is a fact that some people who were involuntarily relocated from the RV ended up being settled elsewhere. * Down at the Coast, a couple of weeks of nasty work and 0.5 million stolen acres suddenly got reclaimed. * And even with this school thing, a bit of mayhem seems to have been what was required to lit a fire under the Ngilu lady's [REDACTED]. Commissions, reports, recommendations, lawsuits ... The general view seems to be " Bugger those; if you want your land back, go get it."

Ahmednasser's denial of WSR ownership of the hotel mentioned appeared carefully crafted: Given to mean that WSR is not the owner of the hotel but that lack of such connection not being an absolute lack of some other connection! One will be forgiven in understanding that Ruto could still be having some connection or relationship with the hotel, if Mr Nasser had been accurately quoted by the media as mentioned above.
