SERIOUSLY THINKING Let me tell you a story. The much-touted SGR (standard gauge railway) has less impact than the Uganda railway of 1901 or thereabouts. The Owen Falls Dam power project of 1954 at Jinja, had a greater transformationAL impact throughout East Africa at Large, than LAPPSET. The story I am telling you is, let us do human developemnt. But independent African countries must never boast of ther infra-structure achievement. Even colonial governments did stuff like that, and on more life-impacting scale, overcoming more tremendous adversities than today. ---The level of technology being one such basal challenge. Then, by the time the United Kingdom had a population of 25 million, she was building infrastructure in every fcuking and god-forsaken terrain around the globe. From Malaysia to Belize, from Egypt to Australia Britannia reigned, and between them, ruling the waves. If one seriously takes thought of all the challenges of such a hostile world-wide (colonial) project, one would necessarily shudder at how small and unimaginative the minds of Kibaki and Raila must have been, for them to boast of the Thika super highway - built and financed by the Chinese! When Engineer Marc Brunel delivered the first tunnel under the Thames for the London underground around 1843, his concern was a whole tube network of transport and how it would be electrified, not hitting some sorry-assed self-congratulatory tone. How miniscule then must the minds of Uhuruto be, opening footbridges and railway stations in Mlolongo to much TV fanfare and orgy of publicity. For a moment I looked up when the president Ouru trashed governor Kidero and announced the formation of the Nairobi Metropolitan transport authority. I waited for his Excellency to follow it up. The commissioning of Kenya's very 'Brunel' and a guild of no-nonsense ace engineers to do the job up tempo at excellence! But alas, no sooner had the son of Jomo uttered that nice thought that his lazy mind sped elsewhere, likely to meat and drink off the campaign trail! But what has really enraged me into an abusive bliss, is the shameful project of building a wall between Kenya and Somalia. The ostensible dogdy reason is, it will contain terrorism by preventing the infiltration of Al-Shabaab footsies from across. The real reason is likely to be the looting of funds. Shabaab boasts quite a battery of deadly Kenyans. It is like Kenyans killing Kenyans over there. ### On the other hand, I thought we had deployed the KDF in that wilderness, so we could play colonial power England over Scotland. I am minded to say let us do it then, take our 'pacification and civilising tasks' seriously. We should make Somalia an offer they can not refuse. A 200-year deal. Unity and Equality, an unreserved and unconditional integration into the East African Economic Community. And that is total free movement of the people inclusive, both ways. To hell with this small-minded wall touted by even smaller-minded politicians fired by narrow greed. Away with this fictitious and nonsensical solution to a historical and national quagmire. If the KDF boys must die abroad, let them die for something loftier than the creation of charcoal millionaires at the DoD. Let them die for something grandiose, equality and unity like the Northerners in the American civil war! I look at our arms purchases with disdain. The emaciated drought-stricken children of Turkana, need another kind of defence expenditure. Of course education is the keyBut if such classrooms still exist in the biggest economy in the region with pretences to middle income classifications, thinking of the NYS heist of over a billion, not to mention the Mafya House heist, then I feel very comfortable refering to whoever referringng such a country as a retarded animal. All through the coming months we will continue to witness these retarded animals gallivant from rally to rally in high and mighty choppers. Obviously jet fuel and aerosol are in plenty, but not a drop of water for drying throats in Turkana. Then meseems we can as well bring our army home to, to dig wells to water camels that give milk to forgotten humans. BI AMINA'S WORK CUT OUT FOR HERAfter her LAVISH debacle at the African Union posh, our Aminah can now come down to earth and do some serious work for a change. She can purpose, and propose an economic merger to her brothers holed up in Mogadishu, and, too, her cousins organised in Al-Shabaab. The Union Republic of Kenya and Somalia, TURKASO, if we have to give the project a temporary working name. And we aren't tallking annexation talkingt Tanganyika's on Zanzibar. We are talking the fruitful union template of England and Scotland, aka UK. Meanwhile lets build that wall. But there is this terrifying cultural statistic to keep in mind. The Al-Shabaab brigade which has been responsible for Kenya's greatest woes in Somalia is named after a Kenyan, And to top it all up this is how deep we are into it ### Build that Trumpian wall then.

TOWARD A PUBLIC DEBATE As a public intellectual, Dr. David Ndii seems to fill the vacuum which has been left by philosophical writers. He is a trouble-shooter who thinks thoughts and says things which power can not take lying down. So some semblance of push-back is warranted. What do African writers write about nowadays? I am sure they write good stuff --- -sex in the city, desperate housewives, single black female working mother etc, but with the advent of digital mass media, a writer may feel like a priest in an old cult as the masses flee in droves to the new faith! yes, a man selling nutritive stuff, but no competition for the daily sugary hot cakes of facebook and the tabloid rest. It is always a pleasure to read through the batteries of fire positioned by the establishment to shoot the bad boy down. One, I have realised, the anti-Ndii's dishes offer polemical flows the best in current public engagement, and sometimes debate; for in Kenya we can engage fiercely without debating sh!t nor point. The other time, when Anne Waguru, though no longer the first among cabinet equals, was still somebody in Jubilee, she delved deep and waxed dismissive of Ndii's academic credentials and arguments. Some of those errors, in her considered opinion, included Ndii's strange fascination with the failed Muungano republic of Tanzania, which the bad boy had claimed was on the verge of overtaking Kenya. Preposterous! Anne was enraged beyond restraint. Here: To date the Mpigs are busy using the NYS report to extort. Gumbo as submerged as Namwamba on that defence expenditure thing where the likes of Iringo were in! Anyway, having more than academic interest in Anne, I was game of course, like Long ago there was this, and Lord, did not Boko wax hot at John, who --in his visceral propensity toward pathological animosity with respect to junior Kenyatta---- can easily be substituted for David! [/i]... [/i]...[/quote] Since then there have been other 'enraged status-quo-ists' who climbed the public podium to cut Ndii down to size. --Remember the time he and Githong'o refused to honour the Muthamaki's admonition to come for tea at state house? We were led to believe the duo behaved like Latino divas, Shakira and Maria Carey, who will only make an appearance if the invitation card is a non-refundable golden credit card, and the transport, Airforce one! Here is the tantrum from on high. Howbeit Githong' and Ndii thus missed a ringside seat to watch His Excellency throw in the towel, outclassed by corruption! Instead, mentally collapsed, Muigai picked on the Auditor General for some hot after pokes. Then the new year turned, but the spectre of Ndii had not been exorcised. Wahome Gakuru picks up the baton. I enjoy the polemics, and i can't wait for the next instalment. I had a jolly good moment when I read something in the weekend paper by Dr. Oginde. About funny jokes and abstract-minded Calculus professors. And Oginde had the cheeky wit to put a scandalising spin to it, featuring a Mumbison and a Lakeman. No puns intended they say. www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001229873/are-kenyans-saddled-with-leadership-disconnect ....[/i] Between us, infrastructure men who want that German magnetic flux train --it overspeeds the top speeds by the TGV and the Japanese Bullet by over 100km/hr----- to be the public flight-line Johannesburg Cairo, Mombasa Douala, Dar es Salaam Lagos, Durban Rabat, Mogadishu Cape Town,
... and Dr. Ndii who calls such notions of Continental transport Unification Bullsh!t, insisting Turkana's should be well-fed first and their children taught the alphabet in less airy classrooms, who is your fokojebe madhafaka maviyakukupumbavu ujibaridi kumachafu!?It is a subject worth a continental polemic I say. And I think African is game! Continued!

RUTO'S SHOOT TO KILL IN BARINGOIn a very sober moment of introspection, I recall the closing words in a film about the founder of The Hustler. This was an all-in hardcore porn mag which touched subjects the mannered softie twins Penthouse and Playboy would never dare. One of its editorials claimed an all-American girl represented by the famous doll Barbie, hated everything black except the kock. America has a problem, a big black problem, and nice white patriotic girls are out to solve it! the considered editorial fumed. Larry Flint became an outlaw. But he said famously: ' we should be glad the law protects a scumbug like me, then it sure will protect all you decent madhafakas!' When the ideal son in law, Harvadian legal scholar and renaissance man Barrack Obama failed to close Guantanamo torture camp, I always wondered if he saw the film, Larry Flint versus The People. But then, I reckoned Barrack Obamason must have seen the many films dealing with slavery, where a smart lawyer argued successfully in court, that Blacks were not included in this constitutional business of ALL MEN ARE BORN EQUAL. As such, slavery was their very happy and divine lot, forever after. -How to deny the humanity of the other. How to ' untermensch' a category of humankind! UNTERMENSCH The Geneva convention was not meant to cover beasts like Muslim Arab terrorist suspects, in which case they are fair game for torture. That is the way I read my kinsman Obama reasoning, concurring with Dr. 'Mengel' John C. Yooof the University of California, when he, Barrack, once Potus, failed to close that Auschwitz camp of the America's in occupied Cuba. -----A shame to all Luos really! I might add. But that was just an entertaining disclaimer. These days America has a Donald problem, not a BBC one. THE BANDIT BOURGEOSIE ORDERS OTHER BANDITS SHOT ON SIGHT, WHAT IS? Former CJ, the lazy Wily Mutunga, in a considerable mental feat, classified Kenya as a bandit economy! So I read with a self-indulgent wolfish tilt of head, and strained my ears if I heard correct. The Singh himself was exhorting extra-judicial murder, ya!? Yes in deed, it was true. The bandit captain DP Ruto had issued a carte-blanche for a police shoot-to-kill in Baringo. A FATWAH on cattle rustlers and other such rogues sowing lawlessness in the drought-hit region. Actually I have not heard the same robustness against terrorists in Somalia where our KDF are deployed. Our engagement rules are 'peace-keeping', we only shoot to kill to defend ourselves when attacked. At least that is the OFFICIAL line, the line demanded by civilisation and the AMISON brief. Even after El-Adde, one did not hear a proposed scorc-earth revision of engagement rules! Not in Baringo though! Baringo is obviously worse. It will be shoot on sight of suspicion, it will be a sanctioned extra-judicial killing spree in prospect. I presume CJ Maraga will shut-up forever like he did in the Akasha's extradition case. That was extra-judicial. Methinks such mentally paralysed CJ is as good as brain-dead one. There surely must be some inkling even of an exposition as an academic --John C. Yoo like---- exercise of legitimating, given these lawyer chaps like to refer to themselves as learned friends. One would think learned friends (especially when a CJ) would bother to think, to enlighten us all on the hidden depths of the law, and articulate when it is necessary to circumvent the law of the land. But these are not the bones my wolfish canines are out to pick. I am grinning, appetised wolf-like, at the dawning realisation there is a consensus the constitution, and laws of the land can be cherry-picked. It depends on your status in the food chain. What an old story. But our current situation in Kenya is so radical, so out of hand that extra-judicial, wild-west like justice is required to contain yes, BANDITS! Just like mob justice is used to contain petty thieves caught in public. This raises this interesting but dark question: cattle rustlers will be shot on sight, yes, HOW ABOUT TREASURY RUSTLERS?The law has failed to protect ALL scumbugs. The law is arbitrary and hostage to cliques in power. The law is selective and parochial. The law is less than an ass, but pretends genius. This leaves open a moral equivalent which can be articulated with a crocodile smile if not a wolfish grin of expectation. We know who and who have looted, rustles the treasury. The EACC has a list to start with ----no need for ENHANCED AND ROBUST INTERROGATION TECHNIQUES ON THE TRIO NJOROGE, THUGGE & ROTICH!. What remains is for some high man of God to issue a FATWAH, absolving any patriotic Kenyans who will take death to the heartbeats of these slime. Shoot to kill a cattle rustler, will shoot to kill corrupt VIP's. Like the Mpigs now wrestling on how to doctor the NYS report. Dangerous bandits! He, candidate Ngatia, goes around comes around. The Hustler Ruto, called Singh with reason, hasn't thought it through, has he!? He should be shot for his economic crimes during the YK92 episode. Let us not stop the law from protecting scumbugs! (that is me speaking as a Luo man of letters!) Don't test my temper as an angry African! See
. if a composed man like Paul Kagame were to come to power and name William Ruto, Anne Waiguru and 20 more you can think of as bandits to be shot, how will we stop him if today we are not bothered about extra judicial elimination of bandits! Who is your bandit now?

MAINA NJENGA REJECTED BY JUBILEE, THE GHOST OF INTEGRITY?It is an important contradiction. The kind which would have been best to analyse in a cultural thesis. But here we go in daily politics. The reason is INTEGRITY! The reasoning may not be genuine, a mere pretext, but the public whisper it is, is an earth-shaker. Oh now I remember that word again. INTEGRITY! It had disappeared from my active memory vis-a-vis Kenyan politics. I remember this song from the old days in the UK. It is about a young girl making love for the very first time. The cheeky singer then invites the audience to go back to their very first time. And she gets into rhythmic instrumentals which goes on for some time. Then she comes back with a vocal grin.
.. Like ...''now I let that roll on for some time, coz I know some of you gotta go back a long, long way to find that memory! Yeaah! Gotcha!' Like, however hard she task her memory, a veteran use-ho of a mind clogged with layer after layer of filthy callosity and slime from a life of perpetual abuse is unable to find memories of pleasant sex, even if she was initiated into sex with love, I have been historically unable to associate the office of the presidency of Kenya with a possible consciousness of INTEGRITY! So I admit Ouru Kenyatta blew me out with a bang when he intimated Maina Njenga is too low on integrity to be a Jubilee candidate! I was so shell-shocked I thought it was a presidential slip of the tongue! INTEGRITY it is! But the party itself is not saying it OFFICIALLY, not yet! They instinctively recognise a booby-trapped boomerang in the making! Dr. Wily Mutunga was a much hyped legal brain who made it to CJ. I remember vividly how the Virgin constitution with its chapter tight six clause on integrity smoked him out when a case was brought before him, to define INTEGRITY, against which candidates for high and low political office in Kenya could be measured, and declared TOSHA or not! Mutunga mentally collapsed, abdicated and passed over the bride for some good old Afro-tropical gangsters rape. Man GADO has had a field day commenting on the reverse evolutionary pattern which stunted, then withered away any semblance of a budding sense of political decency, public office morality. But now from the grave where we long thought it was dead, a ghost has risen forth, to come back and mock the republic. Former Mungiki boss Maina Njenga, says the former ICC indictee on crimes against humanity who made it to president after the peoples vote cleansed him, fails THE INTEGRITY TEST to stand for Laikipia governor. But his ksh. 200K for Jubilee membership was welcome. This rekindles in the public space and internal debate which goes to the core of national morality. There is the added juice that in the run to the 2013 elections, Raila Odinga in a cynical and duplicitous move if ill-advised, had a very public romance with Maina Njenga, overriding Luo sensitivities about the activities of Mungiki in Naivasha during PEV. I always asked myself if the man thought this issue would not effect voter-turn out in Luo Nyanza. I for one described the move as depraved and asked my students to give me an alternative reading. 1. The enemy of my enemy is my friend 2. It is not friendship in politics, just coinciding interests 3. A drowning man will clutch at any straw. I can't wait to view the explication from Jubilee on the moral substandardness of Maina Njenga, which makes him too integrity challenged to vie for public office on Jubilee ticket! At least it will be something which is better than the nothingness of Wily Mutunga. Who knows, it could even force a PRECEDENT, open up a pandora's box, where other parties too are forced to have a semblance of a MORAL STANDARD, however basal and animal. But suffice is to say this ... rearguard inkling of a consciousness on integrity from Jubilee, even if disingenuous, is an indication of the relative health of that branch of OFFICIAL Kenyan culture which is steeped in rot and graft. Sense is down but not out! Just lying low, coiled, like a deadly snake waiting to be warm. It means even fuzzy Peter Kenneth, if he stops sitting on the fence like an impotent bull, can build a race on CLEANLINESS, make a mountain out of this bump. His chief opponent is of course the Hustler, a certified thief. But Pete could be wary because he has skeletons in his cupboard too. Where Governor Joho has the balls to call a spade a spade, I see Kenneth does not even have the guts to call his stepping-stone to higher glory, Kidero, a debauched looter. He is a good compromise candidate, Peter, but mundu-khu-mundu I don't think he can even return Ruto's glance. So No, like Mutunga, he wont do integrity! what a pity to contemplate a guitar wire around his brown neck!

PART TWO: MAINA NJENGA'S INTEGRITY ISSUES! A VISIT TO LAIKIPIAMr. Njenga is commonly referred to as the ex Mungiki boss. Officially now, he is bishop of the Hope International Ministry. Jubilee is rejecting a man of God. They do not believe Saul could become Paul! Such Christian fables, not to mention Forgiveness and the belief in redemption by the good lord, have not place in Jubilee realism. (may be the defector Bishop should go back to knock at the ODM door!) Yawa, Sometimes you perceive immediately you country is mocking you. Like now. Daring you to peel back masks and get to the heart of the story. --integrity issues!? I have been waiting for a catalysing event to drive the point home, so that the rest can reveal themselves to be exercises in beating about the bush. Such an event appears to have been the slaying of a dual British and Kenyan citizenship holder, Tristian Voorspuy, he of the Sossian Ranch in the wider Laikipia. Suddenly the drought isn't exactly the story in Laikipia. It is LAND, or as they say in Kenya, historical grievances in the light of land grabs. At this juncture it is important to revisit NAROK, and the informed comments offered then by Badboy David Ndii. Here is the Jukwaa thread on it. For more, see footnote. Now here is something mentioned in passing, but try tapping around the subject to see if there is a catch, a false bottom
. and may be integrity issues is the last thing on anybody's mind. Expired leases? settler communities? historical injustices? O? they want their grabbed ancestral land back!? O, they dare the SHOOT TO KILL ORDER of DP Ruto? these pastoral bandits marauding on private property!? suddenly it is not a straightforward law and order problem, it is historical injustice deep! what is your integrity issue now? Naisula Lesuuda, nominated senator, feeling the pressures of tokenism? HISTORICAL INJUSTICE VERSUS PRIVATE PROPERTY!? Now, the Kitengela Bishop Maina Njenga has integrity issues which the Jubilee nose can not handle! Your country is speaking to you in tongues fellas! You might want to bother listen. Job of Jukwaa had a most important thread right here on Jukwaa. It asked BLOOD AND SOIL ISSUE: WHO OWNS THE LAND?So, who owns the ranches of Laikipia, and the expanse of conservancies!? Title deeds seem to be missing a certain serial number! I suppose NLC has INTEGRITY ISSUES! They even tricked Uhuru Kenyatta into issuing fake title deeds in Kwale Mathew Lempurkel, Laikipia North Mpig Why again was he arrested sometime back? footnote David Ndii Let us start with the small picture, hunger.

LAIKIPIA FORCES THE KENYANS TO TAKE NOTEA MURDER MOST UNFORTUNATE AND AN ARREST MOST FOUL! Drunk with self-righteousness, deluded in elitist invisibility, trusting in state power, tricked into absolutist confidence by a sham election, cheered on by malicious sycophants, graft captains, a sheepishly duplicituous grassroots, and fortified by the divinity of having escaped the ICC, Man Singh has come into mission, and it is a shoot to kill disbursement of law and order, all to protect invaded private property from marauding pastoral bandits. ---Those bandits have, of course, a poorly veiled motive of historical injustice underneath their drought-driven migration. More about that later. The earnest fury and passion with which William Ruto put his feet down raised my eyebrows! Then did I sit up! WTF!? When Al-Shabaab wiped out a whole garrison of the KDF over there at El-Adde, you didn't hear nor see them, NOR HIM commiserate with such vintage fury, did ya!? I kept on thinking about this as I watched Ruto fume! It was all very hush-hush, the aftermath of El Adde, the president and his deputy tongue-tied in grief no doubt, the goodly duo stricken beyond public shows of vengeful pitches. And so valiant sons lost abroad ( at Linda Nchi), were buried in secret like shameful corpses of those who committed suicide, or were disposed with the infamy with which the colonial regimes treated African resistors like Kimathi Dedan. But wait a moment! There is an important corpse. A white corpse. The comprador have gallery to play to. No? Major Obwoge was liter not deserving national attention wherever he lay dead or alive, but the Sossian whiteman and his horse are now household names, every media outlet in the country saturated with outpourings of grief from the high! ---Ndegwa Muhoro himself went to investigate on the scene! No, that Bukusu boy Juma and his Mercedez wasn't worth that! The comprador have their masters to mind. Western Televisions are showing white women in tears in Laikipia, their African dream a smouldering nightmare of ruined cottages, their delicate features besieged by arson-bent black beasts threatening bare-back puszy rustling. This is straight out of Conrad's heart of darkness! In Kenya of all places! Going Mugabe's Zimbabwe way with his war veteran occupations of 'white farms'! The whiteman's safari savannah land! The comprador class caretaking for our masters abroad must allay the worst of white fears: moran coc.ks running among in chaste white puszy, laying it waste and leaving it mangled! (it might be far from a coincidence the white nativist POTUS called the PORK at the height of the Laikipia pictures!) This is where the crown prince of Britain proposed to his Katie! Phew! What a blasphemy to have it raised to the ground! This is worse than the crimes against humanity you guys were charged with! Consequently a homegaurd militia has been unleashed with total licence to kill at will. And in the beginning it was to revenge the police killing of the 23 year-old herdsman Lemati Mpoikai, survived by a widow and a several months old baby, which set in motion a spate of arson. I checked the British tabloid papers for you, and revisited a few paragraphs from my copy of Robert Ruark's Uhuru! Sarah Korere versus Mathew Lempurkel. ON THE REBOUND, whose private property? On ending land leases, a land-obsessed elite, a Malthusian and pastoral livestock economy, and a remnant white tribe with powerful connections
and then as a footnote, former Mungiki boss Maina Njenga as the champion of the land dispossessed in Laikipia, and Uhuru Kenyatta as the CiC enforcing property rights by force. Uhuru of course coming from the greatest post-independence land-grabbing family of all! Something doesn't just add up in Laikipia. But then, is that not the same story at Yala Swamp land and Dominion, Turkana oil nd Tullow, Mining in Kwale

EVERLAST COLONISATION: THE UNFINISHED BUSINESS OF PACIFICATION it is best if one extirpates the whole indigenous population. This erases the problem at one go, leaving their land in deed uninhabited. The colonisers can then spread and believe as many fables as their imagination can conjure up. No one will contradict them, even if they say it was God himself who gave them the land as a present for their likeness to him. That (extirpation) is the option of genocide. But so long a memory, in some form, remains of the original sin, there will be your nightmare narrative of historical injustice, and open sores like the Palestinian Nakba, yes, even terrorist-inspiring story. Actually I am thinking of a case between a Samburu community and a land-grabbing ex president Arap Moi. See footnote. A look at genocidal human history in the past 500 years reveals we humans have been too civilised to visit such absolute levels of depravity. We have always left dregs behind, to remind us of the original crime; and in our stout hearts, we have always tended to make sure such fortunate left-overs ---e.g the Aborigines of Australia or Namibia, Native Americans, Maasais, Ogieks, Hotentos and Pygmies---- remain marginalised and confined to folklorish reserves. There can we study them like creatures in a controlled zoo. These days the reserves are sometimes upgraded to concentration camps, like Gaza. And these can become fearsome broods of resistance. Here at home in our Kenya, the population in the designated reserves have picked up. Expanding out due to drought, (LAPSSET-landgrab) squeezed at home, pastoralists like the Samburu and the Turkana, then the Maasai, Pokot and Karamojong' have mutated from savages to cattle rustlers and bandits in the new lexicon. The genocide by famine and neglect which post-colonial Kenya has relied on to eradicate them, has not done the job. Where the white colonial regime did not have much of a population pressure on land, and the Queen of England had more or less free hand in the likes of Laikipia and all those Delamere estates hived off in the Rift, the post-colonial aristocracy have no such luck. Worse, the HISTORICAL MEMORY of the original sin has festered into a traumatic narrative of historical injustice. This narrative threatens the pillars on which our vaunted economic miracle is based upon. It is a narrative which suspends TITLE DEEDS, and title deeds are what underpin our financial system. --If your visit the vaults of our banks, they hold much title deeds as collateral. The narrative of historical injustice holds ransom this network of private property relations orbiting about land. That is intolerable to modern capitalism. This is why the government has come like a tonne of bricks to assert the RIGHTS TO PRIVATE PROPERTY! Our capitalism does not want punctured tires just at this moment when we are visioning 2030! It is therefore time to plan for the final solution. SHERIFF RUTO RIDES INTO TOWN Here is the BanditKilla Singh talking tough, thinking a SHOOT TO KILL will be adequate to eradicate the brewing, infectious wound of historical injustice, and the Malthusian, pastoralist livestock economy trap. Being from the Rift Valley, the Singh has good memory of how he dethroned the old Kalenjin King, Daniel Arap Moi. He rode the wave of LATENT Kalenjin LAND GRIEVANCES which finally precipitated the 2007/8 ethnic cleansing of Gikuyu peasants, sending him all the way to the ICC, and finally catapulting him to the Co-Presidency. Here is a reminder, a precedent, from a page of a history book on colonial Kenya. Restless natives are demanding a better deal, but the rulers that be are playing deaf politics. This original Kenyatta is unknown to many millennials! Jailed for seven years because of political activity on behalf of his people! Power hadn't corrupted him yet, nor absolute power corrupted him absolutely. (that is how come Kalenjin nationalism was uprooting peasant Gikuyu's long after his death?) But Ruto's, and Kenyatta 1's rise, are examples of the demonstrated political power, the undeniable emotive, social and mobilising power of the narrative of dispossession, neglect and historical injustice vis-a-vis land. --Now, facing the Malthusian economics of current pastoralism, population growth and public expectations in the rising economic power house Kenya, the ambitions of native politicians forced to bang the ethnic drum to ingratiate themselves into the hearts of the people even if only populistically for the electoral period, must necessarily be seen in the light of historical catalysts. Nature, like they say of power, hates a vacuum. Faced with the delayed realisations of dreams like industrialisation, the infrastructurally unreformed and unrepentant post-colonial state grappling with the same problems of inequity in the same ways past, has no option but to enter into the mode of persecuting upcoming would-be spokesmen of the people. Articulation is defined as incitement! The way sedition used to be widely interpreted (not just under KANU, but colonial governors too) THE LEMPURKEL SCAPEGOAT I looked at the charge of murder at the feet of Laikipia North's Mathew Lempurkel. I thought of the 2010 constitution which now has no memory of the TJRC; I looked at all these commissioning of homegaurd militias, the hysterical denunciations of banditry, the insistence on
... is it Laibon Lenana's illiterate thumbprint as the act of God? and I thought God, we need a big plan, like the 2030 Vision! A picture of the Kenyan herders on the move with all their earthly belongings and families who now are being forcefully evicted to 'GREENER PASTURES', raises the question, 'livestock genocide' to teach them a lesson? FOOTNOTE: HAVE THERE BEEN LAND GRABS OF LATE IN SAMBURU? Leaving the LAPSSET land acquisitions apart for the moment. that phrase ancestral land! Not as important as a title deed he!? So ancestral land can be invaded with impunity, grabbed per force and ownership transferred per the same, and uta do? Grins official justice at you! New constitution, old constitution, same acts same justice clause! Old wine in new bottles. More on Moi vs The Samburu! Thinking President Kenyatta has been in a much-publicised parley with the Moi clan for his re-election! Go away Samburus! Shenzi, shetani, ujinga gani huu! (that is the oily presidential Nanok dressdown in Turkana the other day!) We can not allow bandits to invade private ranches, correct. We will shoot to kill the bandits. Then, on the rebound, the narrative also reads we will hang bandits (like Arap Moi) who forcefull evicted communities from their land and sold the land to third parties for a handsome profit, while reducing the tribes people squatters and wanderers of no abode! O? Community land does not have the same import in law and order as private ranches? Powerful disagreement. Raises the kind of historical grievances man will kill to redress. The new constitution is no longer adequate to resolve the crisis. Choppergate! CJ Maraga, what is this? Koti bandia? How many emaciated goats do they have to sell to hire a chopper like their excellecies the governors? Wewe CJ, when your Judges are being fakheds, you should bother to correct them, unless you are worse! NB: James Orengo the former Do-Nothing land's minister is Lempurkel's lawyer! ---you feel like laughing eh!? Raila has promised to send to jail thieves, but his running mate Wetang'ula is mentioned in the Turkana oil blocks swindle by a certain Dr Kengar MonenaYou always know when you are in a hole and still digging! Governor Nanok: who do you trust with Turkana oil, Ouru or Moses!?

THE KENYAN TRAGEDY OF THE COMMONS, THE 'BEASTOCRACY' William Foster Lloyd 1794-1852Foster was an English commentator on economics. My best way of explaining his best shot is this: Think of a busy public toilet in a city, with nobody responsible for it. It is a 'Common'
. Utility
. a highly beneficial and universal convenience, but without supervision and regulation ----specified and effected protocol of care, it quickly degenerates into a no-go mess. Why? Individual users acting privately and only in their narrow interest, wholly behave contrary to the common good. I was trying to explain, from classical economics, why we Kenyans are highly industrious and strict in our individual and private entrepreneurial endeavours, but when it comes to Kenya, our COMMON, country and land, it is like we do everything to destroy her as a common wealth. It is as if we are hell bent on what Cheeky Dr. Ndii christened ' tidings of divorce'! As Kenyans in public service we retard to pre-accounting cavemen, guttural troglodytes of no numerical insights -- -NYS, Mafya House, Goldenberg, SGR land compensations, Eurobonds, we mutate backwards to book-keeping challenged monkeys ---Angloleasing; we become authentic beasts --- fake signatures on CBA's, fake title deeds, toxic maize for human consumption
. you name it all, all the way to rigged elections! We hit the recidivistic trail, a government of beasts, by the beasts, for the beasts, in effect, a ' beastocracy'! Of course it is common currency Kenya is a carnival of beasts! As individuals, we build shopping malls bigger than Kennedy Space Centre in America, but as City council, county government, we preside over what Ngugi wa Thiong'o called 'a vast swamp of slums ringing a show-case square kilometre city centre'. Then the few permanent houses in those slums are built to collapse. And not by quakes! This chasm where excellence intertwines beastliness in a double-helix of public/private is, like the social inequality described by JM Kariuki as 10 billionares and 22million beggars, a harbinger of instability whose {modus for] resolution is the first political problematic of the land of beasts. The public space is looted to erect private castles, the public treasury is looted to finance private development for the political class. Obviously the pendulum must swing back for some balance. We can manage the swing back or let it to anarchy. Either way it gonna happen. That was the revolving door between government and business, a beasts recycling enterprise. next TOWARD A RESOLUTION OF THE TRAGEDY OF THE COMMONS

AL L RISE FOR SAINT DAVID'S LAST SALUTE!SUBTOPIC: The unconditional post-humus acquittal of David Mwiraria by his gangmates. It caught my eye. But because I was busy eying something else more rounded, well-balanced and suggestive of untold delights were it to yield its divine hinterlands, I decided to give it a brutal snap, as if it were some fly aiming for my soup of fish. Such errant insects can turn me truly nasty I tell ya. A rotten political elite hardly able to organise simple primary elections pretending divine auspices of cleansing state pickpockets in a ritual post-humus milking of crocodile tears is just the right trigger for my underbelly motions. And aint I game!Uhuru Kenyatta has in his exalted ineptitude ordered scrapped from the Anglo-Leasing list of condemned scumbugs, the name of Kibaki I finance minister, David Mwiraria. His own Imenti people rejected his attempt to represent them in 2007, soon after he was indicted for theft in 2006 and forced off the cabinet. But, shetani ashindwe, Prince Muigai is reported to have been backed and edged on by the nominal opposition heroes, the serial cuckold Weta and the last shot hopeful, Prince Rao. Unfortunately, in funereally proclaiming Mwiraria to be your cleanest piece of linen on your brightest day, there is no accompanying documentation referencing a comprehensive investigation which has, having availed and ordered all the facts, declared the incriminating and subsequent booking of David, the then finance minister, to have been erroneous, misinformed and career malicious. Failing the above meticulousness, short of the common sense protocol of formal rehabilitation, Ouru's declaration backed by his thieving classmates ---and yes by that I am referring to the Tokyo embassy and Turkana OilBlock swindler Weta and the Maize flour dusty and Molasses landgrabber Rao, must be seen as the impunity of a ruling a class arrogating itself Almightiness, so to forgive themselves as they wish. However, it also has a double-barrelled purpose: {1}. to please (I think it is the Ameru) where the culprit came from. This for the purposes of electoral ingratiation, and {2}, a backroom deal to hang together, lest they hang apart. You know with Saitoti safely dead ---by happenstance or design, Musalia Mudavadi is for now the can-carrier in chief of the Goldenberg worms. And he is a NASA principal, aint he!? Now you start yelling Mwiraria is an AngloLeasing SoB, who knows what next? At the same time, there is a case in court seeking to bar Raila from contesting, and yes, you guessed the grounds. This case needs to be defeated, lest it expand to include all. It needs to be done what the wily Mutunga did to the earlier one, quickly, lest it fireball of hand this time around, even if still farce. This needs cross elite concerted action. A blameless Mwiraria so declared, washes them all of the blood or oil in their hands. The oil of corruption which is the elephant in the room whenever Government and opposition come to a parley! with the taxpayer as the paying looser! Now here is some sheet to ponder. citizentv.co.ke/news/court-orders-arrest-of-david-mwiraria-over-anglo-leasing-scam-106969/ Clean bill of health to the rotting corpse? I dissent. The post-humus whitewash is hogwash. Put lipstick on the corpse, it changes not its rotten life and smell. WHEN I TIRE OF FORKED TONGUES They adorn the casket with perfumes Hoping to camouflage the sickly stench The words from their forked tongues Are a pungent secretion of hypocrisy
Whitewashing a black thief in death Is the futile task, of those who colluded With his rotten self and deeds when he lived
David alive was the spider at the centre of the web of graft David dead is still the same three-piece scumbug oozing rot
O Great thief of Kenya! May the Hells lease you forever in fire!<><> That is how I feel when looters of the public commonwealth are officially cleansed. Now, Menoah Esipisu, lets see you try sugarcoat this obvious bitter truth with fine lies!It will be a wonderful opportunity to dive deep into the mind of a modern day African spin doctor! Ach, just kidding, mercenaries are a well-documented trade! citizentv.co.ke/news/anglo-leasing-scam-talk-dominates-ex-minister-david-mwiraria-burial-164206/ Nothing but good about the dead! But remember to read me the Kroll report unedited! I have a considered dissent as you see. IT IS MY TURN TO SPEAK! I am tired of teaching propaganda as history! Even for a 300% negotiated phantom hike in remuneration, my mercenary services, or glands wont juice! 2006 TO 2017 and Ndegwa Muhooro hasn't completed his investigations on Anglo-Leasing! Ever heard of the Oblomov syndrome? meanwhile. THE DOUBLE GAME OF HEARTS We may still be slaves, Bowed before Ethnic Kings We may still be silent sheep Cowed by the ruthless state But our minds are long freed Our thoughts are no longer those of a serf Subjugated all the way from body to mind
From the vile lies of this lot Our mental autonomy is complete When they speak The fictitious reality they uphold Makes us but laugh at their conceit We marvel at how reality passed them by: They are a tragicomic act of make-believe!
With hearts of steely venom, we await the toll of the bell! For an idea whose time has arrived must slash its way through.
Lie to me, O child of our land My ears have developed an appetite for lies I found something terrible which fattens on them The anger of a rising Africa, her temper too, heating up!<><><> Next: decoding the distasteful painting depicting THE ZUMA MANDELA ANAL BASH OF AYANDA MABULU

TUC-ke's SOSSION CONSUMED BY THE WRONG ELECTIONS!Sossion, allow me, my friend, to kick your balls hard. You are too much in the thick of Bomet! You need to wake up. You should be in the thick of LABOUR! Trade Unionism is the key to Kenya's future, in as much as it stays close to historical aspirations of the creators of wealth. We are talking the legacy of Markan Singh, Chege Kibichu, Bildad Kaggia, and Tom Mboya. Especially the aborted organisational promise of Tom. Demanding higher wages is not the sole role of trade Unions, much as triumphalist neo-libelism will preach moderation as they pass legislation to outlaw worker's gains --- Just wait for Macron to settle in and start using the imperial powers of the French presidency! Unionism is about first, the balance of power between capital and labour. Second, social and state power. On the first, You know American Basket Ball and Ice Hockey and Baseball players went on strike? It wasn't about cash directly, it was about control of image, and power over destiny. Money they had, power zero. they didn't own themselves one bit. They were commodities. Its is like blacks in American football still. Money yes, say even less, control no. But the most, least common denominator under which workers can unite, is of course MORE cash, the wage! IN SEARCH OF A NEW DIRECTION (The Tom Mboya model of 1963 is surely dead) NB: will report later what this Mboya union model was. But it was sure a reactionary affair tailored to 'subsurviate' Unions to a one-party comprador party! --More about that later. Strikes for higher wages are therefore a minimalist agenda really. A basic demand point. Chege Kibichu in historical context put it humorously. 'Strike for a few more pence per month!? Of course. While we plan to kill the whiteman for independence!' Put in other words: the maximum concession the colonial government can give, is less than the minimum benefit an African government will bestow the workers after independence! That is the potence of historical memory! so what did the second liberation of Kenya bring the Unions? fake CBA signatures from the governments, county and national? And the guy did not have a degree imagine! 70 years later, all union leaders have multiple degrees, and what do they say? --it is the end of history and capitalism has won! It is with this askance in mind that I chronicle the following storms in a tea cup. jukwaa.proboards.com/thread/7338/kenyan-teachers-effectively-on-strike?page=6jukwaa.proboards.com/thread/8548/labour-unrest-strikes-democratisedjukwaa.proboards.com/thread/9540/presidential-candidate-martin-ngatia-perspective qz.com/894578/kenyas-refusal-to-agree-to-the-demands-of-striking-doctors-is-making-the-country-sick/ What is up on the Kenyan labour scene!? -It is the endless tug-of-war on which CBA is the CBA. At the center of the storm today in the 2nd republic heading for its second General Election, are the twin professions we used to so much debate in primary school: A TEACHER IS BETTER THAN A DOCTOR! Here is where we are, MAY MOTHER'S DAY 2017. THE CBA BLUES OF KENYAN TEACHERS AND DOCTORS www.nation.co.ke/news/education/Teachers-pay-rise-deal-talks-resume-in-two-weeks/2643604-3916850-1430kbgz/index.html and in medics land www.nation.co.ke/news/Doctors--strike-paralyse-health-services-Nyeri/1056-3917832-fj3avuz/index.html And this piece One step forward, 2 back. The doctors are being footballed between the county and national governments, once again. Just like in 2013 when they were duped into thinking they hd signed a legitimate CBA with a bonafide official from a legitimate government and thus went back to work, they are finding out the recent RETURN-TO-WORK FORMULA didn't have any guarantees of paying the 5-month strike period withheld salaries. As the money lay parked in accounts, hungry and broke governors and long-fingered ministry officials like Muraguri of Mafya house couldn't resist a dive into the cookie jar. Now there is no money. Remember even to finance this ---(MAIZE IMPORTS) Rotich is calling for an emergency parliamentary session to pass a supplementary budget, while his boss Ouru is abroad waving the begging bowl around. So what can the Unions do? Vie for power of course and have their workers conscious representatives in government. In other words --forget Atwoli, he is a retard, Sossion and his new generation ilk should make the development legendary Union man Tom Mboya could never make. Sponsor/launch a labour party. When understands the core ideological limitations of Tom Mboya which underpin the post-colonial trade union crisis in Kenya, it becomes very easy to understand why these unionists keep on signing CBA's on toilet papers which, as soon as government officials have smiled them away from the meetings, are used to wipe sweaty bottoms and flushed down the gutter. TSC chief executive Nancy Macharia again: I read somewhere the Attorney General is the highest paid public servant. Surgeons, how much do you earn!? Life being so cheap in Kenya, I guess your levels of responsibility and the complexities of your decision-making as they impact the lives of others isn't such a big deal in this country. Switch careers, migrate to greener pastures, suffer without bitterness, or roll up your sleeves and put up a fight. Even doctors have to fight sometimes for their dignity. But not yet a labour party of course! ( Ababu Namwamba's LPK is a cheap joke, a stupid usurpation of name!)
