WHAT OPTIONS HASSAN JOHO?
This man 001Joho is in problems. He is like William Ruto today in this respect. He has enough in his steps for a further political career beyond what (and where) he is now, but he can not be the dime which doubled itself without being true to his chore. This core, and to balance it with external political realities, is a pretty delicate if not a fatal challenge.
One thing I liked about William Ruto from the start --long ago when I was in the ODM, was he knew who he could be deputy to, and who not, when and why not! He could be deputy to Raila because he recognised Agwambo's courage and drive, guile and wile in the arts, and, when it came down to it, manly dare in the face of extreme adversity and odds. His respect for Raila was not even grudging, it was authentic and 'pupilistic', Learner to Maestro that is. A young warrior of fate knows he will deliver death to many others, and then one day a younger more robust warrior will rise up, and thud him to dust, ending his skull-collecting era. No shame in that. But you don't learn to deliver death even to a sh!tty warrior in shadows of a coward, nor in the bosom of cowards. And that is where Joho is.
Howbeit there is no way William Ruto in his right stride could be deputy to Musalia Mudavadi nor Kalonzo Musyoka for longer than the bearable minimum days! Even if he pretended otherwise for expediency, his body language, charged with ambition and go-gettership, rebelled maximum and was visible to all, contradicting his oily tongue. Ruto's heart and being recognised his own intrinsic superiority over cowardly sh!t, his drive tabled his advanced warrior grade, as rating far above the contemptible slimes and worms, the Musalia's and Kalonzo's and other Judas' hearts around town, whatever their ethnic following was purported to be worth.
The young warrior on the up would call their bluff!
This point should always be made repetitively. Because it is universal. Cowards will live long --otoyo ma luor ema ruu, but they will never be at the head of anything, much less a struggling column marching to combat! ---Big news that!?
William Ruto has a nose for ferreting out cowards, and a ruthless instinct for refusing them to run him. That is a trait I should love in my friends, and fiends too, for it means them fiends too are so formidable in their own right, respecting them could easily walk over into defeatist self-doubt, and the intimidation which triggers surrender before hand. -This defeatist self-doubt and surrender before a shot, has been the fate of ex-ODM SG Marshal, Ababu Namwamba. He surrendered prompt like an ox to the concubinage of Sir William. Not that that auction price Nyakundi mentioned in 2016 is cheap!
See him there with that ka-hat! A proud and richly rewarded domestic! Safe and Home! Join if you can't beat. But it is a long road of soul-searching.
There was smoke where there was that fire. Leaving in steps.
Ruto therefore easily called the bluff this basket of deplorable cowards who now float at the top of NASA. He can read them. Everyone now can. And, with time, it is a bluff Ruto has continued to call with ritualised contempt. --the thing we call SIBOYI and NG'ANJO in DHOLUO.
A top bull confronted with the amazing puff of a huge and mighty-horned ox, well-groomed and smooth skinned, instinctively looks at the shrunken testicles of the Longhorn, then bothers not further with the sounds of asserting dominance. It is only if the sissy gives another glare of non submission that the top bull will urinate carelessly, sniff and flick its tongue in the air, indicating to the ox it will be arse-raped, straight to the pancreas and back.
And that settles the matter forever.
This natural, UNIVEERSAL contempt for cowards (and other bulls who already have the fire stolen from their balls), ever shows whenever William Ruto, on public podia, invites 'wale ndugu wetu wenye wanapoteza wakati na yule', to join us and work together, watuunge mkono na tuendeleze nchi yet mbele! --- Ruto treats Kalonzo and Mudavadi like silly chicken he can sprinkle a few grains on the ground to catch for a meal. And even if they warily look at him, their instincts of survival not yet completely dead, The Singh is sure the so called NASA co-principals have nowhere to go, absolutely nowhere else to go but his lair. There shall he choose whether to slaughter them as his next meal, or retain them as his dogs under the table, occasionally fondling them richly as trophy b!tches.
That is how I read the situation. The domestics of the comprador relishing their class rule. And the decorum-degraded, now all but lost NASA principals, wriggling on the sidewalk, like hags soliciting patrons and Lord Users!
Ali Hassan Joho, today, is there, where Ruto once was in the Orange movement. Musalia Mudavadi and Kalonzo Musyoka are his official superious in NASA, courtesy of an a now desperate and, to all practical purposes, moribund MOU. That Raila would support Kalonzo come 2022. But what gives that Joho has to continue to pander to obvious mediocrity!?
O yeah, something happened! O something big happened.
O yeah, events, events dear boy! That January 30th day.
FOOTONOTE
The import of what he did, or rather did not do on the 30th January 2018, has not yet hit home to Mr. Sly, the eternal water melon.
There is only one option for wiper: leave NASA and join Jubilee. Together with Maendeleo Chapchap. That is Mutua still in 'Ababu's labour party phase' in his journey to Jubilee.
Continued.

It is now emerging that Deputy President William Ruto could be working with the Orange Democratic Movement party Secretary General Ababu Namwamba and some MPs to take over Dr Julia Ojiambos Labour Party of Kenya.
The claims come amid speculations that the Budalangi legislator could be leaving Raila Odingas party, ones that have been backed by Ababus recent sentiments that he has been frustrated by ODM and wants to move where he is appreciated and not merely tolerated.

Infighting among leaders from the National Super Alliance affiliate parties continue to threaten the opposition coalition's unity.
Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua of Wiper lashed out at Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who is also the ODM deputy party leader for what he termed as disrespect to Wiper leader and NASA co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka.
Wambua, who was speaking at a funeral ceremony in Kitui on Saturday, said Wiper party has an equal stake within the coalition and should be treated as such. Infighting among leaders from the National Super Alliance affiliate parties continue to threaten the opposition coalition’s unity.

“It’s not like we are in NASA because there are no options, the options are as many as there are elected leaders,” he said.

“We can’t have a situation where members of parliament, governors and even MCAs have the audacity to insult principals within the coalition,” said Wambua.
He further called on local leaders to focus on delivering their promises to the voter, instead of the unending political squabbles.

The senator’s remarks came a day after an exchange between Joho and Kalonzo during the ODM party National Governing Council meeting on Friday. Joho alluded that Kalonzo, Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were cowards, hence, their move to skip Raila Odinga’s mock swearing in ceremony at Uhuru Park on January 30.
However, in the same event, Odinga, Kalonzo and Musalia Mudavadi sought to display a show of unity despite simmering discontent among the coalition affiliate parties.
In a written speech sent to newsrooms after the Friday event, Odinga indicated readiness of the Orange party to go it alone in future political contests, should the affiliate parties not agree on how to forge ahead.
