IN PERSPECTIVE: KENYA AND THE EMPIRE'S PLOT AGAINST IRANThe obsessions of ones best friends can infest ones own thought patterns, become their own. And if not best friends, the sneezing King will be the court in a catch of cold. The USA isn't our (Kenya's) best friend, but we orbit her in a bond of concubinage, and that has consequences. We ---I think we already did and that is the problem---- will catch the cold alright. Since that is one of those earthly, planetary laws of power. One of the key obsessions of the US power structure (or military industrial complex) is regime change in Teheran. The Mullah-led Islamic republic which overthrew their clientele, Rehza Pahlavi dynastic sore, must be goner. It reminds of the intolerable staying power of the rebel Cuba of Castro, off Florida. The dangerous swirls of debris left by the hurricane of regime changes in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Ukraine and now Syria, all which hint at empirial expertise in the creation of chaos, yet impotence in post-chaos reconstruction or reconfiguration of social relations, does not seem to have triggered a wake-up alarm in DC. On the contrary. Obama's peacenik antics with the nuclear deal with Iran are up for grabs, and his cautious legacy, which includes drawing back from his own line in the sand over Syria, is to be damned out of memory, too shameful to be left chiselled in the pillar of imperial fame. It was proof Putin had overgrown himself. Yes, New Rome's obsession with Iran has brought forth quite a succession of unhinged Washingtonians. This evolution has culminated, such that the current 'dysfunctional' Trump administration has nowhere to hide except the lunatic asylum. On one hand is your defence secretary, James the literal 'Mad Dog' Mattis, a retired marine General. He is a Former CENTCOM and NATO commander, and is convinced "the single most enduring threat to stability and peace in the Middle East is Iran". And he means it. Did your hear that, Mwathethe and Kasaon!? If you look hard enough you will find Iran lurking behind Al-Shabaab! That is your ' Warrior Monk' talking, the way you should at Al-Shabaab! Then there is the man who now replaces the (due to suspected Russophilia) chucked Gen. Michael Flynn as the national security advisor. His name is Herbert R. McMaster, a serving marine general. He is billed as your cerebral gun, ' Scholar Warrior' (which should remind us of the amorous David Patraeus)! McMaster's writs are compulsory study material at Army Colleges, for instance his Phd Thesis popularly known as Dereliction of Duty. This paper wipes the floor with American military strategy in Vietnam. Further, the decorated marine endorses the neocon world view, that Russia and China are 'revisionist powers' which constitute mortal danger now and later, for the vital interests of the United States. The only game in town is to tame them. That sounds like FULL SPECTRUM DOMINANCE of old. This is a viral off-shoot from THE spawns of Zbigniew Brzezinski, the geo-strategist who, of late, has been revising his younger days theories. Zbigniew took a look at new realities like the emergence of Asia with China and India on the up and concluded Western forceful domination of these peoples would raise an hostility beyond meaningful stability. The Kissinger Doctrine declared the USA had a right to intervene in a country to save it from the stupidity of its own people, like the Chileans when they voted Allende. But that can only be done to lesser powers or compliant vassals. Awakened peoples act and react different from docile and domesticated elites, and the USA soon entered ' imperial overreach', forcing a live-and-let live with the Soviet Union. --Then the USSR collapsed and Triumphalism surged. In this historical window, the single remaining super power with its awesome military could surely enforce full spectrum dominance! no? ÓBVIOUS DISFUNCTIONALITY IN WASHINGTON! That (China nd Russia must be cowed stuff ... with NATO installing killer batteries in the Baltic States) comes down to belief in a WINNABLE NUCLEAR WAR! --And that is where your 'cerebral general' comes in. He reckons the USA is placeable in a position to roll back 'revisionist powers' like China and Russia, 'leading sponsors of international terrorism' like Iran, North Korea and Cuba, and (failing the chaos of regime change) keep them in the required cage, domesticated like the once European powers, Germany, Britain and France. No sooner was McMaster in after Flynn than we had this The first Trumpian choice to replace Flynn was, however, Vice Admiral Robert Harward. While he was still doing his deep thinking, faster and cockier minds moved in Phew, the rising Africa has nor rival worth mentioning as on the move to threaten anybody! Ponder that, take mental note, for talk on another day! we are still dissed, the way Zbigniew Brzezinski did ages ago. His big mind thought of Africa as a mindless landmass which would belong to the winner of the geo-political game! ---Ouch, Achebe! Here is the billed, or hyped greatest military mind in America today. Ahem, I want to laugh, because I know of another actor in the war, an actor our cerebral washingtonian, to put it like Chinua Achebe on why Things Fall Apart went that black, declares an absence of. Achebe declared he had read a lot of literature about Africa by others where the African was wholly absent or only partially noted, yet, living in Africa, he himself couldn't spend a single second without being confronted by the African. 'This absence of the African in colonial, world literature, made me think it wasn't about me. So i decided to write about me!' concluded the Nigerian Igbo man of letters. A far East Asian reading McMaster might ask Who is this? The leading Washingtonian warrior intellectual does not think Vo Nguyen Giap --dubbed the small man with an iron mind in some Asian dialects--- together with his red Vietminh think-tank, had anything to do with the defeat of the US in Vietnam? Fak Off, Achebe! You think you are the only guy absent from colonial literature! The whole world IS absent! And so the whole world has been writing about themselves, but in the colonial dominance of informational flow, doctored algorithms, it has not been as readily available to the world as the power version. In his twilight days, a chuckling, old and infirm Giap told a Malaysian journalist how Ho Chi Minh had shrugged after being shown one or other map from the powers that be Faced with the insane determination of Viet nationalism under a forged leadership toward national liberation and self determination, America's best and brilliant soldier, having the benefit of hindsight, still thinks the war was lost in Washington. I gotta laugh! What conceit! Check the Asian version! aint the pivot Asian? Be warned Xi JinPin, Vladimir Putin, Ali Khamenei! Here comes the cerebral warrior! No more will wars be lost in Washington. And definitely not The Asia Pivot. So, which is my chief concern, how do we square this in Nairobi?I think we, concubines in orbit, have been recruited into regime change in Tehran, when these mad people in Washington decide to move military options from the table (in Washington where wars are lost), to the battlefield where they belong to win. Kenya and Ethiopia with their 'facilitatory AFRICOM military fuel points' would play a designed role in bombing campaigns over Persia. And then while Obama's pivot to Asia is to contain, neutralise and disperse China, here is Kenya planning to denote her foreign debt in alignment with the new reality, the Yuan as King creditor. So I write all this because I dread a certain event, much like a passenger in the Argo! I don't want to be chewed between the crashing tectonic plates of America and China. We are milking the dragon but sleeping with her hunters! Methinks not everybody we deal with in the real world can be given an UTA DO shrug! Hey Nairobi, anybody home? It does not matter anyway, after all, thinking of Ndii, Kenyans are busy negotiating divorce. It will soon be everybody for themselves! Remember to make it velvet if it comes to that, Ghenya! I will be back! (Because I love Kenya. I live in the caliphate and I can't wait for the PAN AFRICANIST coalition forces to capture our Raqqa!)

RUTO'S SHOOT TO KILL IN BARINGOIn a very sober moment of introspection, I recall the closing words in a film about the founder of The Hustler. This was an all-in hardcore porn mag which touched subjects the mannered softie twins Penthouse and Playboy would never dare. One of its editorials claimed an all-American girl represented by the famous doll Barbie, hated everything black except the kock. America has a problem, a big black problem, and nice white patriotic girls are out to solve it! the considered editorial fumed. Larry Flint became an outlaw. But he said famously: ' we should be glad the law protects a scumbug like me, then it sure will protect all you decent madhafakas!' When the ideal son in law, Harvadian legal scholar and renaissance man Barrack Obama failed to close Guantanamo torture camp, I always wondered if he saw the film, Larry Flint versus The People. But then, I reckoned Barrack Obamason must have seen the many films dealing with slavery, where a smart lawyer argued successfully in court, that Blacks were not included in this constitutional business of ALL MEN ARE BORN EQUAL. As such, slavery was their very happy and divine lot, forever after. -How to deny the humanity of the other. How to ' untermensch' a category of humankind! UNTERMENSCH The Geneva convention was not meant to cover beasts like Muslim Arab terrorist suspects, in which case they are fair game for torture. That is the way I read my kinsman Obama reasoning, concurring with Dr. 'Mengel' John C. Yooof the University of California, when he, Barrack, once Potus, failed to close that Auschwitz camp of the America's in occupied Cuba. -----A shame to all Luos really! I might add. But that was just an entertaining disclaimer. These days America has a Donald problem, not a BBC one. THE BANDIT BOURGEOSIE ORDERS OTHER BANDITS SHOT ON SIGHT, WHAT IS? Former CJ, the lazy Wily Mutunga, in a considerable mental feat, classified Kenya as a bandit economy! So I read with a self-indulgent wolfish tilt of head, and strained my ears if I heard correct. The Singh himself was exhorting extra-judicial murder, ya!? Yes in deed, it was true. The bandit captain DP Ruto had issued a carte-blanche for a police shoot-to-kill in Baringo. A FATWAH on cattle rustlers and other such rogues sowing lawlessness in the drought-hit region. Actually I have not heard the same robustness against terrorists in Somalia where our KDF are deployed. Our engagement rules are 'peace-keeping', we only shoot to kill to defend ourselves when attacked. At least that is the OFFICIAL line, the line demanded by civilisation and the AMISON brief. Even after El-Adde, one did not hear a proposed scorc-earth revision of engagement rules! Not in Baringo though! Baringo is obviously worse. It will be shoot on sight of suspicion, it will be a sanctioned extra-judicial killing spree in prospect. I presume CJ Maraga will shut-up forever like he did in the Akasha's extradition case. That was extra-judicial. Methinks such mentally paralysed CJ is as good as brain-dead one. There surely must be some inkling even of an exposition as an academic --John C. Yoo like---- exercise of legitimating, given these lawyer chaps like to refer to themselves as learned friends. One would think learned friends (especially when a CJ) would bother to think, to enlighten us all on the hidden depths of the law, and articulate when it is necessary to circumvent the law of the land. But these are not the bones my wolfish canines are out to pick. I am grinning, appetised wolf-like, at the dawning realisation there is a consensus the constitution, and laws of the land can be cherry-picked. It depends on your status in the food chain. What an old story. But our current situation in Kenya is so radical, so out of hand that extra-judicial, wild-west like justice is required to contain yes, BANDITS! Just like mob justice is used to contain petty thieves caught in public. This raises this interesting but dark question: cattle rustlers will be shot on sight, yes, HOW ABOUT TREASURY RUSTLERS?The law has failed to protect ALL scumbugs. The law is arbitrary and hostage to cliques in power. The law is selective and parochial. The law is less than an ass, but pretends genius. This leaves open a moral equivalent which can be articulated with a crocodile smile if not a wolfish grin of expectation. We know who and who have looted, rustles the treasury. The EACC has a list to start with ----no need for ENHANCED AND ROBUST INTERROGATION TECHNIQUES ON THE TRIO NJOROGE, THUGGE & ROTICH!. What remains is for some high man of God to issue a FATWAH, absolving any patriotic Kenyans who will take death to the heartbeats of these slime. Shoot to kill a cattle rustler, will shoot to kill corrupt VIP's. Like the Mpigs now wrestling on how to doctor the NYS report. Dangerous bandits! He, candidate Ngatia, goes around comes around. The Hustler Ruto, called Singh with reason, hasn't thought it through, has he!? He should be shot for his economic crimes during the YK92 episode. Let us not stop the law from protecting scumbugs! (that is me speaking as a Luo man of letters!) Don't test my temper as an angry African! See
. if a composed man like Paul Kagame were to come to power and name William Ruto, Anne Waiguru and 20 more you can think of as bandits to be shot, how will we stop him if today we are not bothered about extra judicial elimination of bandits! Who is your bandit now?

FACING THE INDIAN OCEAN BUT THERE IS A NEW CREDITOR IN TOWN Anybody sensible who walked into a FOREX BUREAU would notice that curious difference between WE BUY, and WE SELL columns, same currency. But able doctorates like CBK Njoroge --forget the other bastards with doctorates in econometrics you heard of at the treasury, Kenya wouldn't be this graft-ridden if they weren't fake, have never bothered to explain, in parliament for instance, the real cost of the denomination of African debts in dollars, and of course, the absolute necessity. But anyway, I was once told by my literature teacher in O'level school, that only fools will wait for African bureaucrats to explain anything to them. Parasites lack a vital mental capacity, the man explained, waving a copy of Soyinka's THE INTERPRETERS, but they adequately compensate for it by a superbly developed instinct for survival. In retrospect, a lesson not to be forgotten I think. Imagine expecting Kamau Thugge to explain the NYS heist, the failure of IFMIS, and the un-audited defence expenditures in relation to lack of drone surveillance at El-Adde!? (Dr. Thugge wouldn't know what you are talking about, would he!? -wacha daktari alale salama, like a well-fed baby.) Well, we read qz.com/707954/china-now-owns-more-than-half-of-all-of-kenyas-debt-2/ China too must be hard. Necessarily. She does not want to have to write off a series of bad debts. The dragon has to be a mean, cold and hard-hearted pimp too. And even if a brothel madam, the dragoness will exercise considerable cruelty on recruits who hope to flower under her wings. The brothel must be run profitably or the mandate of heaven will be lost, and the communist party has no intentions of being but the latest dynastic nor incestuous junk-model Great China rode for a while, then cast asunder! If one puts their faith in MOU's countersigned by a corrupt, debauched and incompetent colony of infantile imbeciles like the ones running Kenya, one will rue the day for sure, just like the Kenyan doctors who trusted a bureaucratic conman named Bor, only to find themselves in jail for reminding the government Bor worked there, and stamped an approved government seal, then. No way China will have that trick pulled on her! China has therefore enforced far-reaching concessions in her dealings with Kenya. For instance, respective the SGR (Standard Gauge Railway), they have opted for an Oil companies method. From survey to digging to pumping, to transport to refining to storage to retail, oil companies keep it close to the chest. Beijin has been showing she is a tough customer, and, I can't help the caution, if Siaya Luos think Calvin Burgess is a monster --(having grown so much fish the price of fish in Kisumu collapsed!)---- my brother Mbadi should not dream of being finance minister (for once the debt is classified in yuan, the yuan will be the new dollar, and the new finance minister just another slave like Rotich, Githae, Mwiraria, Obure, Saitoti, Mudavadi
. all the way to the Othaya goat Kibaki in his drinking hey days!)FOOTNOTES: I watched the now discredited bureaucrat who was then cabinet secretary for transport, Engineer Kamau, belatedly explain to the relevant committee in parliament why our laws had to be shoved aside to accommodate ALL the Chinese demands. I loved his nonchalance. He said: 'they are financing the faking thing A-to-Z. Our pockets are empty, we say yes to everything!' Read more: jukwaa.proboards.com/thread/8839?page=2#ixzz4Zgvd8iro Read more at: www.standardmedia.co.ke/?articleID=2000102843&story_title=chinese-set-out-terms-of-tender-says-cs No beating about the bush for the engineer! fascinating. Yes, a whorre has no autonomy before a pimp. It is a power thing. Otiende Amollo and the rest of the (learned) boys and girls who wrote the new constitution with its high ideals, failed to neither foresee nor offer a follow-up when those of a lesser forge are entrusted to safekeep the fire therein. Our procurement laws were set aside! Yes, is that yous do set their pride and dignity aside, every time they have to sleep with or swallow to please the paying customers or just for fear of the wrath of the pimp who might think an opportunity to earn a phat tip was missed by a show of decency! But China is being careful. Prudent. All exorbitant costs inserted by the corrupt locals, all extra-contractual inflationary multiplier factors at which the Kenyan elite are exceptional artists, will be billed to the Kenyan tax payer. China is merely insulating the Chinese taxpayer who funds EXIM BANK--- from being fleeced by our own Nairobi vermin. They say there is no such thing as a free meal. We know it, but our penchant for behaving as if we discovered a war round it, seems to me one of those social pathologies destined to beget tears. Let us see if Patrick Njoroge is the last of the Mohicans. Or whether he too must be written off as vermin. I am game.

cont: WHY THE IMF WROTE THE FINANCE BILLS OF DEVOLUTION(And the political economy of Kenya's top banker) Onyango Oloo Jajukwaa narrates the sequence of events with clinical majesty in his two landmark essays cited above. It is a disconcerting tale of how even our brilliant economist, the Othaya genius Mwai Kibaki, when push came to shove, was a domesticated mental eunuch who knew his place in the food chain. Well, having stolen elections in 2007 and bust the economy, he didn't have that many options did he, desperate for credit, the beggar in him reigned over the arrogant ego. He squandered sovereignty! but then, nobody ever ate independence, neither does autonomy feed hungry nations! So the IMF stamped the bills, the public finance acts respective devolution. That is an ideological act of ownership, you know, like a rancher brands his livestock with his insignia, or big game do territoriality by urinating on shrubs! I am also told --by urban sociology--- drug pimps brand their ' cash cows' with peculiar tattoos, just like gangs worth their salt have their members advertise their kills by body art, pen billboards. NB: The termites of Latin America are so fearsome that killer police and official paramilitary death-squads all wear masks in action. Should you be identified, the termites come for all your relatives wherever in the continent, North and South. And because jails need janitors and janitors can't always hide face
. prisons in Latin America are run by a coalition government. You get the idea. If not, soon. 1. The owners of capital know Kenya has to continue borrowing to (apart from to repay badly-spentloans) 'fund herself out of underdevelopment.' Right there is your trafficked woman sold to a gang. She has to swallow alot, prostitute herself hard to buy back her freedom. But it is a power relationship of no balance, so what is to prevent the gang from milking her to the last drop? Tales from reality will offer a clue as to whether such broken souls, nations, lived happily ever after, or had to cleanse themselves some before a happy ending. 2. The owners of capital know, the kind of scum who sign the loans on behalf of their corrupt countries, are not your regulars who build economies which healthily pay back borrowed capital and the intended interest, no, on the contrary, these Mobutist kleptocrats are (provenly) the kind of rogues who specialise in precipitating bankruptcy's. You loan them money, you wanna run their decisions, or your money is a gonna. But accumulated capital too has its dynamics. It beggars investment, or something like 'too much idle money chasing nothing' will become a devil starting as inflation and spiralling into something more fierce, more hyper. And so the owners of capital must invest, like wildebeests which must migrate to pasture and water. You don't, you die. They will wade through any pond of any leviathan croc to satisfy this procreation urge, this profit urge. But mature man is no fool, no mere animal at the mercy of the forces of nature! He wades into the pond of tropical crocodiles wearing something firmer than a shark steel cage. That is, he takes over the financial priorities of the host country, perches himself at the pulmonary jugular with all that oxygenated bits, takes his fill first, before the oxy-rejuvenating blood continues to other vitals. These seasoned predators do that by writing financial bills of countries like Kenya, then putting in place certified, vetted sentries like Njuguna Ndung'u or Patrick Njoroge or Kamau Thugge or Joseph Kinyua-protege Henry Rotich, etc etc, to supervise, control and warn if the levers are being tinkered with by some populist clowns like Raila Odinga, or some Johny-woke-up-lately genius like Mwai Kibaki! You can also think of these appratchiks like SLEEPERS, to be activated or de-activated for this or other correction of course -- guardians of conditionalities ..... saboteurs of would-be people friendly policies like cupped interest rates. In our case, they fashion local devices which help yoke Kenya firmly in debt, in serfdom and ne-colonial peonage. Throughout the continent, they are a fifth column against the drive by Africa to harness her resources for her young and future, and youth who, even as I write, fill the bottoms of the Mediterranean sea, drowned in their flight from an Africa with nothing to offer them; youths who, yes, even as I write, have made the Tuaregs of the Magreb change the name of the desert: black bones desert. Yes, there is an African story which can be told, in which whizzkids like Patrick Njoroge are just branded prostitutes in bondage, domesticated for the long haul by a seasoned pimp. No, house niggah will not do today. I have been watching footage of literally starving Kenyans this week in the news, and kept on remembering how much of our tax money is earmarked for debt service/repay, and how much for raw theft by officialdom. I have been moved to show a hint of African temper, and take it up with men whose brains are suppose to be on the alert, or the think. Patrick Njoroge is a good place to start. The rest are too consumed with election fever. And they are sheep anyway. And sheep you keep for the BBQ party. cont.

KENYA'S TOP BANKER, PATRICK THE BLUE-EYED IMF-KID but what is? He is a godsend. He can be tackled without barring any hole. Because he is super smart. When critiquing Kenya politicians, whom we call Mpigs, one always has to dumb it down a bit, for, after all, one is dealing with mutants less human than otherwise is visible. The Hogs are now busy blocking the Report on the NYS heist. Companies dear to them were major beneficiaries. How would you start explaining the concept of CONFLICT OF INTEREST to such lowly things?
.. that they can't be controlling government business while doing criminal business with the same government! REF: JUBILEE AND THE NATIONAL QUESTION --- Onyango Oloo D. But with Njoroge you do, raise points of order. That is what makes him a blessing! (Originally I was minded to accord the financial secretary, Rotich, the same respect, but in a vicious if comically couched delivery, Onyango Oloo in a landmark essay put paid to such romantic notions. --where is he by the way, the proprietor of Jukwaa?) The two essays are, in my opinion, the comprehensive demystification of the Jubilee State Apparatuses. A MACRO ECONOMIC ANALYSIS OF THE JUBILEE CABINET NOMINEES --- Onyango Oloo D. An African saying goes if you have an issue with a dog, take it up with its boss. May be Prime Minister Kinyua for Rotich then. As an intern at the IMF, Njoroge must have studied in detail, the dreadful strategic adjustment programmes which came to naught, SAP's. These now discredited SAP's happened when I was too young to read through them in real time, but the later equivalent -- sack of Greece, happened when I was old enough to read an see through. Behind the scenes during the Euroland banking crisis featuring the famous PIIGS, The Imf was sure, and all economists were in consensus, the Greek debt was factually odious. It was unpayable without a HAITI-like modus operandi, without a Versailles-on-Germany blueprint. That Versailles thing if the one faulted for having triggered Aryan temper to holocaust levels of darkness. But publicly the IMF stated otherwise, in deed the IMF went on to lend Greece money against the Fund's own house regulations. Worse, she even endorsed or manufactured statistics to prove Greece would post high digit growth and overcome the crisis, all under --the German insisted-- austerity! WHY THE HELL DID THE IMF PLAY THAT DUPLICITUOUS GAME IN GREECE?Pretty simple. 1. Ideology. Neurozone banking capital wanted their piece of pie or money back, no matter if Greek pounds of flesh came with it. Northern tax payers were not ready to pick up the tab nor could amply-bribed politicians make them swallow the nonsense of too big to fail. Somebody had to pay up or the system break up. This was about saving Northern banks not about Greek recovery. The ideology bit is the desired firesale of the choice pieces of public goodies to investors from the Northern homelands and their local quislings. Airports, rails, beaches, Telekoms, the family silver at a song. Greek governments were just to be auctioneers in a bankruptcy sale! --- Alexis Tsipras still is, poor lad. And the poor land though an architect by trade, might remember to paraphrase his tribulations thus! O Muze, goddess of the clear tones, sing for us of the sack of Greece When the cannibal banks of the North Bribed the bonusphilic mercenaries of the IMF To smuggle a Trojan-Horse of policies into Athens!
Sing, O daughter of Zeus, How the blue-eyed monsters who ran the EU played them for a song how they let loose a plague of pillage upon the hapless people of Hellas, Reducing them to slaves as if they were Sub Sahara people on hold.
And, O fair Muze, take time To forget not to tell unto us how the IMF dread spore, Dr. Patrick Njoroge landed on our drought-stricken shores to resurrect the blood-draining SAP's All so that the distressed banks in the North could hit fairer winds and survive the stormy markets!
Much woe and sh!t did the slum-dwelling deplorables of Kenya face; much hunger thirst and want, did the naked populations of the arid lands of Kenya contend with, even as Nairobi reported a daily shower of hot cakes and ice-cream being fed to the Mpigs!
Sing O sing, for us the songs of Liberation Muze! The songs of Freedom like Bob Marley!

cont: NOTHING PERSONAL, PURELY BUSINESSIn the history of imperial power struggles where finance is a weapon, ruthless empire builders have used this debt weapon of expropriation, just like earlier generations (used) raw pillage where bullion treasures are carted off the vaults of sacked cities. Commercially debilitating practices have been deliberately unleashed on enemy nations or intended colonies, and bankers have been the willing and formidable instruments at the service of the custodians of empire. Freezing sovereign funds of states and letting banks device a maze of redtape which makes tracing the amounts intractable if not impossible, has been perfected of late by the USA. Following the Iran Nuclear deal orchestrated by President Obama and Rouhani, when, sanctions eased, it came to the Iranian funds frozen since the revolution and the interests they accrued meanwhile, suddenly the Americans could neither count, read nor remember account numbers! They Americans became very gobbledygookish. Then Iraq And the new one is Libya's hoard of Gold, and the sovereign funds Gadaffi invested in the West. So when I say bullion were carted off in medieval times, I am just referring to our century. --I don't know how to characterise Mobutu Sese Seko, reputedly his sons physically carried treasure out of the national vaults! I must say I have asked myself if William Ruto, Uhuru Kenyatta, Kalonzo Musyoka, Raila Odinga, Peter Kenneth, Evans Kidero and the other pretenders, wouldn't do a MobutuSon on the Kenyan vaults if they could keep it secret and get away with it. And because of Patrick Njoroge's silence on the Eurobond, I have asked myself if he would fail to obey orders from any of the above MALIYAMUNGUS to facilitate a Mobutist scoop! -Nothing personal, just business. Great and small religions have always been higly condemnative of money for money interest rates. We indicated that in part 1 of this essay. I believe the underlying issues in this debate are the same ones which echo in such laws as the Glass-steagall act, or even the infamous Dodd-Frank amendment. Footnotes already provided. Capitalism with its huge concentration of capital and demand for huge capital for super projects, creates such a demand for cash, that it is bound to shake the concepts governing the trade in money. And the industrial bourgeoisie having come up as a revolutionary class ever inciting labour to higher productivity and greater capital accumulation for themselves while keeping labour poor, there was bound to be a SURPLUS of capital desperately looking to multiply itself. ---Faced with such high surplus of capital, the decadent aristocracy would of course only obsess with corrupted consumerism, waste and debauchery, evolving into a settled gluttonous meat-eating horde of incompetents. These are the likes of the lumpem bourgeoisie we see ruling Africa in general, Kenya in general, Nyanza in general, and Kisumu in particular! Adopting a classic antagonism between capital and labour, given the spate of labour unrest conflicting the Kenyan social space of late, of which the Doctors and Lecturers strikes are prominent, I should be minded to ponder on which side tilts the policies of Patrick Njoroge. Otherwise left to their own devices, like the deregulatory instincts of Njoroge point, bankers soon mutate into sharks, the consumer their daily portion of red meat. CONT.

PART 2 - HOW HAVE THE US BANKERS FOUGHT OFF REGULATION?I said I will be back! If you know how the big guys do it, you will know how the small guys will try.I want to rant, incant and assert, but with that mocking, glinting eye behind the African mask. The Mask can dance, even during the ritual disembowelling of an infant. Culture reports such bloody scenes could be inducted to remind the gods the drought had been long enough, it is time the heavens opened and poured wet blessings! Desperate times! Money is a hot topic, even in the house of God. Njoroge is an orthodox believer, does he fancy himself God's banker, the peoples banker? or just earthly mortal cog servicing earthly deities? He is a banker. Our CBK governor. He will stand accused. The class consciousness of a banker, any banker, is that of a parasite. In custody of money which is not his, the banker loans it out to somebody with a plan, somebody who takes all the risks to realise the profit. The banker remains seated, plotting how to cheat the risk-taker off his proceeds. Banking fees or charges for ABC administration is the stuff of legendary jokes. Bankers are powerful. That is the power to determine rent, interest rates, pre-determine the market, to set conditions such that nations are trapped in debt servitude -- Versailles .... Haiti, for that could best be to the bankers profit. And one does what is best for business. For The Banker, this is the perfection of parasitism: He indirectly controls your vital organs of commodity circulation, of commerce, the price of money. The Banker is a God by virtue of his power to CREATE MONEY. Money is a universal measurement of value. Enter the total financialisation of the economy; Finance Capital usurps the role of the god of capitalism. The Banker convinces you, or rather brow beats the system into declaring him too knowledgeable to regulate, then, proving themselves greedy fools, too big to let fail! This is how Wall Street after bribing all theose politicians to effect all those repeals, blackmailed the USA taxpayer into unconditionally bail outs. That the bankers have politicians in their pockets of course helps a great deal. The things bankers do! GREECE UNDER THE VERSAILLES MODEL The constitution be revised! You mean a referendum could also be called to warrant the debt be declared odious!? Hold that last line on the constitution. For in Kenya we will re-visit why the IMF wrote the devolution finance bills, leading to a running tension between the center and the periphery whereby in one instance we already saw Patrick Njoroge spooked by political realities which forced DP Ruto to give him an executive order on cash disburse. This issue is deep. Here is just a random peak at a great historical controversy. The bible does not say much about many of the modern loans!? That is another one! I was thinking The Bible needn't. Written that long ago. But, what else do you have scholars for!? Aren't the endless gospels the scholarly works of disciples? The bible is silent on too big to fail!? That does not mean scholars are bound by the same omerta! So I went to look at the neighbours. May be the grass there is greener! What is ISLAMIC BANKING!?Now is when we loose the guys from Yale and Harvard! And then the argument over the definition of RISK. Secularism is the divorce of Religion from public space. But when a religion is so bold as to state making money from money is forbidden, that money must be used or invested in a productive way, provable risk taken, then faced with a secularism whose orthodoxy is the opposite, a clash of civilisations ensues which can not be settled in the classroom, meseems. If making money from money, trading money as money in itself --the life line of many banks in capitalism, is HARAM before the other God, the sensible option for man would be a BIPOLAR banking world, a bipartisanship in the markets. But man is a hegemon, and both sides imbued with self-righteousness, the clash has to run its full course. With the Kenyan top banker being an adherent of the orthodox Opus Dei clique, whilst an in-breed IMF clone, it occurred to me sit back and ponder the hurricanes sweeping through Dr. Patrick's able mind. And corruption in Kenya just seems to me to be the least of them! Footnote 1. But Bloomberg already reported See, Dodd is already repealed under Obama! Nothin left for The Donald to do on that. Obama let the bankers themselves write their law, their repeal! (Actually Trump has done something. He signed an executive order which gags as much as dissolves all remaining regulatory offices! Stocks jumped up!) 2. Glass-Steagall Act (1933) 2b. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

NOW SIAYA, THUM OCHOMO SIAYA KABABA! We have seen the tribulations of the sugar industry in Nyanza and Western. jukwaa.proboards.com/thread/8971/end-sugarcane-industry-nyanza-western Yesterday, or thereabouts, our Excellency Ouru, seeking to insure his re-election, dished some ksh.4b to Mumias sugar. It is an industry in a crisis. As we wrestle with the near collapse of the sugarcane industry in the traditional belt, I read heard of the ODM minivermin who rule Siaya state, that Dominion is FAILED and gone BUST and is now but a CON company! I waited a bit for some clarification, because there is a terrible detail to square off. We know COMESA and EPA prices of imported sugar. We know the prices of Ugandan and Brazilian confectionery sugar imported via Kismayu, courtesy of the cousins of Aden Duale in concert with the contraband companies under the umbrella of the multinational KDF. The dear lootenants do charcoal on the sidelines of course, but forests easily deplete you know. Angry Somali nationalism alleges the Kenyans have branched out into the PIMPING business. But that is another story. We know the true retail price of crystal should hover at about ksh.45/kg at your economy supermarket. That you pay these prices is the same reason we buy cars at ksh. 1M which cost ksh.300,000 where they were made. -Eh! The Market is not always perfect for the consumer! all those heavy layers of levies! they break your back and make you weak in the knees for smugglers and contraband markets! So, with all that open markets and the world market (subsidised) sugar glut, and Mumias and Sony and the rest barely solvent, good old Calvin Burgess is building a new SUGARMILL at Yala swamp? He is actually expanding where others are collapsing! --eh!? Then he must be a fool, a con or, yes, definitely made of something we do not have around. He reckons he can go scales which beat EPA, Brazil, Uganda, COMESA rock-bottom rates. He must reckon he can do ksh.40/kg! And have you buy it at a respectable ksh.80/kg at your local economy kiosk! He says, with this illegal, arrogant new mill of his, he is not those c-untless goats you have had at Muhoroni, Miwani, Mumias, Nzoia, Sony and Chemelil. He informs, with hidden boast, he is not your lazy LAKE BASIN SH!T HEADS; he is not your big men who only leave carcasses of industries behind, as they fly off in golden parachutes, what a coincidence. Where they should have consolidated into one monster company, merged into a single mother holding, in an ever more concentration of capital and streamlining of the business sector, they differentiated into ever small plots, economically irrelevant and doomed to be looted by local bandits moving on to political office! And then the redundant relationships with the cane outgrowers! Is Calvin's sugarmill a con!? as is the current position of the Siaya ODM vermin mouth pieces? Or is Calvin's model of vertical integration (like Oil companies do) a go-getting winner? His cane racket like his rice scheme will be mechanised. ENTER GODOVARINeither do these tales of woe on account of Brazil, COMESA and EPA subsidised prices seem to scare the new suitor reported to court the Swampy girl, Yala. His name is Indian Godovari. He is rearing to rear Sugarcane at the Dominion spot too! ready to build sugarmills too! This kind of entrepreneural confidence from afar should mean those tales of woe told by Mumias and its ilk are fables to mask local managerial sabotage. There is lots of room to make profit, growing own sugar in Kenya! Otherwise why should Godovari be talking sweet? ---( because kenyans are ever begging to be conned 24/7!) Somewhere therefore, something aint right, someone is lying big. Perhaps Burgess is a super predator but not a conman. He gets work done. His rice scheme has in any case outstripped the stagnant Ahero. He is an exploitative former Oklahoma prison builder yes, but his DOMINION in Yala is not a failed business. It is a controversial project, making big bucks, but like everything else in Kenya, not for the common man. That is the Achilles heel. Locals see only their land gone, producing mammoth foods which they can't buy at the local economy kiosk! This alienation forges into historical injustice. OPTION CAPITALIST INDUSTRIALISATION UNDER THE BANDIT BOURGEOISIEThis is the issue we never discuss. We are industrialising on a capitalist path late in the day. We gotta know the score. More so, under the captaincy of a lootocracy. This lumpem bourgeoisie, or the so-called state bandits, or tropical gangsters alwasy obsess with raw deals for the public in exchange for self aggrandisement. There are precedents. Nothing nice about the process, even for the proletariat, let alone the peasants which, in modernist capitalist political economy, must disappear one way or another. Siaya should be happy Calvin is using dubious pesticides rather than genocide to clear the plot, nor is he building concentration camps as reserves to herd the natives into! A lot of African regimes are happy to have their own soldiers clear the land of 'squatters' and herd the remnants into starvation reserves so that 'foreign investment' can pick up! You know what Kagame did with the Twa in Rwanda and Kabila with the Pygmies of Congo? And Gaberone the Hottentots of the Kalahari where Botswana diamond mines are to expand? Africa is rising, on a foundation of skeletons. Prepare for the haunted house! FOOTNOTE: There is this thing called KNC. Take a closer look, Siaya. Do the deep think, guinea pig! Siaya, you catch! Thum ochomo Siaya korg'Orengo!

Jakaswanga, You have definitely hit the nail on the head! "Capitalism respects private property yes, but with no 'title-deed' to 'communal land', added to the hubris of the mythical superiority of race, the issue of ownership in the way as understood by capitalism in private property did not arise in the colonial mind." On that note, please see the following letter, sent to the Senate of the Republic of Kenya (C/o the late Senator of Kwale County, Boy Juma Boy) - regarding Base Titanium's controversial titanium mining project in Kwale County - which specifically stipulates the laws of Kenya, with respect to "communal land rights." SOURCE: www.madaraka.net/?page_id=1644Wanyee, thanx. I now read the piece. I didn't know this deep aspect of historical injustice in Kwale. I think the debate breaking out is the model of business friendliness we have adopted in Kenya. It is a type which can only heap injustice upon injustice, especially on rural, relatively powerless communities, and worse, when the stake are so high as in Turkana oil and Kwale Titanium.

THE COLOURS OF THE CHAMELEONSmart Patrick deals a fanged hand; WHAT HAS NJOROGE BEEN UP TO OF LATE? I have seen him summoned for contempt of court. that one is a well-matched conflict. But this one popped my eyes! This is rear guard action. There needs to be a detailed exposition by the regulator on these two values, and their relationship to the wider economy --users of financial services. These jargonised ad-hocs could be the kinds of bureaucratic gimmicks practised by the ministry of health when they let a Mr. Bor sign a CBA in 2013 as an act of weaponised evil against naive doctors. Such stuff tend to be ticking bombs on the social fabric of a land. This KBBR versus CBA thing has been in court after Okiyah Omtata offered an opinion which caught the likes of Njoroge napping. Meanwhile the bankers had burnt the midnight oil (while the regulator slept) and found a loophole to circumvent or blunt the presidential sign. I assume such daring only happens in consultation with or at least with the complicit silence of the sharp regulator! These kind of antics by parasites require a dress down, and I will be game! Watch this space, I will be back!

Meanwhile in the kernel Rule 1. Make open the details of the original MOU! then we will know what it will cost us to buy back or erase our Laibon Lenana thumbrint on the document! remember how both Kenya and Zimbabwe took heavy loans to compensate white settlers who had, originally, gotten the land free from the queen!? Those white settlers, colonists, were being bought out so that locals, original owners of the land, could be resettled. But capitalist rules said the whiteman had astronomically ADDED VALUE TO THE LAND. And that astronomical value, the native would pay to the point of bankrupting his newly independent nation! And nice touch, the new elite rather that the landless got the land! and so half a century after independence LAND REFORM is still a recurring emotive theme! NB: Mozambicans have just woken up to a secret clause on the $4bn secret loan negotatiated by securocrats. By default at first scheduled refund instalment, future gas revenues will first be banked by the creditors abroad! End of sovereingty over own natural resources, signed away by some 4-connected military and civilian men! Some deals are that sweet in Africa! Unbelievable but true! So, Siaya, open that MOU lying sealed in Nairobi! Know your surprises! We don't want FBI advising the US government to help freeze Kenyan accounts in US banks, because an American investor has been robbed and deported from Obama's home!

Since the days of referendum politics I feel increasingly uneasy with the prospects that Kenya is fanning its own financial calamity as it ever-reaches for what is unnecessary, unproductive, or inefficient. Before I go any further, let me clarify that I was never against a new constitution – rather I was, and always am for a constitution that is both sensitive to our means and essential. Before I ever took an economics class I had learned enough survival economics from mama. Mama would typically buy in small packages so she would spread her shilling over as much of what we needed in the week as possible – then once in a while mama would have enough of the shilling to go up the scale in some items without sacrificing the range of necessities. If she ever sent one of us to buy some of the items, she would coordinate all the buying so that in whole it would adhere to the principles of survival economics that governed her budgeting. It’s amazing the invisible data crunching that household budgeters like mama go through when there is not much of the shilling to work with. In my view, Detroit and Kenya are ridiculous failures at the simple economics that we learn from mama in the household kitchen. However we should not dare compare the two entities because Detroit can come out of its quagmire within no time, given its means, but Kenya can be doomed for generations upon a slight slip beyond a certain balance. --------------------------------------------- We have the politicians’ so-called-salaries that make other public employees wonder what the heck. With those not tamed, even with the recent pathetic pretence of the Public Service Commission to have tamed them, teachers, doctors, etc, even the government drivers that outnumber government vehicles, will demand higher wages – and they should get them. There is a thirst for tourism that our politicians fund for themselves any time they are bored with their every-day idling in Kenya – recently we have heard about a window-shopping spree in China for office furniture. That’s not how mama would go about buying furniture. But of course they would ask “kwani pesa ni ya mama yako?” This kind of wondering aloud never comes up in projects that support some productive process or even contribute in the synergy of anything that is productive. All this, and much more, and we don’t boast of any industry! We have to wake up or it won’t be long. sO-called salaries! I have news for you Mank! Try finding a name for this! Anybody go to econometric school out there!? I think we staring at bankruptcy!

TOWARD A PUBLIC DEBATE As a public intellectual, Dr. David Ndii seems to fill the vacuum which has been left by philosophical writers. He is a trouble-shooter who thinks thoughts and says things which power can not take lying down. So some semblance of push-back is warranted. What do African writers write about nowadays? I am sure they write good stuff --- -sex in the city, desperate housewives, single black female working mother etc, but with the advent of digital mass media, a writer may feel like a priest in an old cult as the masses flee in droves to the new faith! yes, a man selling nutritive stuff, but no competition for the daily sugary hot cakes of facebook and the tabloid rest. It is always a pleasure to read through the batteries of fire positioned by the establishment to shoot the bad boy down. One, I have realised, the anti-Ndii's dishes offer polemical flows the best in current public engagement, and sometimes debate; for in Kenya we can engage fiercely without debating sh!t nor point. The other time, when Anne Waguru, though no longer the first among cabinet equals, was still somebody in Jubilee, she delved deep and waxed dismissive of Ndii's academic credentials and arguments. Some of those errors, in her considered opinion, included Ndii's strange fascination with the failed Muungano republic of Tanzania, which the bad boy had claimed was on the verge of overtaking Kenya. Preposterous! Anne was enraged beyond restraint. Here: To date the Mpigs are busy using the NYS report to extort. Gumbo as submerged as Namwamba on that defence expenditure thing where the likes of Iringo were in! Anyway, having more than academic interest in Anne, I was game of course, like Long ago there was this, and Lord, did not Boko wax hot at John, who --in his visceral propensity toward pathological animosity with respect to junior Kenyatta---- can easily be substituted for David! ... ...
Since then there have been other 'enraged status-quo-ists' who climbed the public podium to cut Ndii down to size. --Remember the time he and Githong'o refused to honour the Muthamaki's admonition to come for tea at state house? We were led to believe the duo behaved like Latino divas, Shakira and Maria Carey, who will only make an appearance if the invitation card is a non-refundable golden credit card, and the transport, Airforce one! Here is the tantrum from on high. Howbeit Githong' and Ndii thus missed a ringside seat to watch His Excellency throw in the towel, outclassed by corruption! Instead, mentally collapsed, Muigai picked on the Auditor General for some hot after pokes. Then the new year turned, but the spectre of Ndii had not been exorcised. Wahome Gakuru picks up the baton. I enjoy the polemics, and i can't wait for the next instalment. I had a jolly good moment when I read something in the weekend paper by Dr. Oginde. About funny jokes and abstract-minded Calculus professors. And Oginde had the cheeky wit to put a scandalising spin to it, featuring a Mumbison and a Lakeman. No puns intended they say. www.standardmedia.co.ke/article/2001229873/are-kenyans-saddled-with-leadership-disconnect .... Between us, infrastructure men who want that German magnetic flux train --it overspeeds the top speeds by the TGV and the Japanese Bullet by over 100km/hr----- to be the public flight-line Johannesburg Cairo, Mombasa Douala, Dar es Salaam Lagos, Durban Rabat, Mogadishu Cape Town,
... and Dr. Ndii who calls such notions of Continental transport Unification Bullsh!t, insisting Turkana's should be well-fed first and their children taught the alphabet in less airy classrooms, who is your fokojebe madhafaka maviyakukupumbavu ujibaridi kumachafu!?It is a subject worth a continental polemic I say. And I think African is game! Continued!

Footnote. 1. FANTASIES OF EXPULSION but what is the alternative to Dominion? Here is an intimation of new deal which suspiciously echoes the old deal. First the marker to expell the old one. www.nation.co.ke/counties/Siaya/Proposed-sugar-firm-splits-Siaya-county-leaders/1183322-2863664-txnav7/index.html So, exit Dominion, no Dominion factory, enter who? here are the words of CALVIN BURGESS: More about GODOVARI. THE CASE OF THE VANISHED HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS PAID TO SIAYA COUNTY COUNCIL AND THE NEVER MENTIONED RENTS PAID BY DOMINION TO THE COUNTY In the beginning there was a crime. The crime of fraud. Follow the money and see where the trail ends and the buck stops; the documents are confidentialised but are in the custody of the people's government. They can always be declassified if Siaya were to have some indigenous Omatata. Meanwhile the docs gather dust, just like the TJRC writ, just like the Ndung'u report, the JM and Ouko murder inquiries, and the rest of the documents which tell the story of a nation incapable of neither facing its past, nor coming to terms with its present. A nation beside itself with corruption. A nation dedicated to letting her top criminals go Scot free. Such nations invite syndicated criminals to come and partake to the free for all bonanza. THE LOOTING MACHINE PLANTED IN AFRICA Before we come to the ground in Siaya, here are tales from the exposes of such syndicated looting at the continental and international level. Mighty grand, the hundreds of billions looted from Nigeria where as late as this week, mid February 2017, a former CEO of the national oil company was found with $10M cash in a pit behind his shamba in Kaduna! See, it is Doctor Andrew Yakubu from Harvard, therefore the strange Kenyan derision that only a lowly hairdresser, Josephine Kabura, could withdraw literal pick-up loads of cash in real time, is utter stupidity. The lesson: you can take your local goat to Yale, call him Saitoti or Ndegwa, but back in the dark continent, the Yaled goat will be no better than your village hairdresser Kafura come to the city! ---and that is a dig at Rotich on the Eurobond for you. It is Yale goats like Dr. Patrick Njoroge at the CBK I am talking about. (who is my eurobond accountant now! I need figures to trash badboy Ndii!)Dr. Andrew 'Muraguri' Yakubu! HOW IS THE RAPE MIRRORED CLOSER TO THE GROUND IN SIAYA? $100,000 VANISHED IN SIAYA? after some Laibon Lenana thumb prints now held secret? NB: Yala being the home of ace legal minds of legacy like Otieno SM, Aguenge Kodheke, Oki Ombaka, and down the river mouth, rich mouths and minds like PLO Lumumba and ex ODM general Ababu Namwamba, one might be excused for thinking there would be no need for Laibon-Lenana antics orchestrated by a super capitalist predator facing illiterate peasants in their kraal. But anyway, the cash did not vanish. It was pocketed by people who everybody in Siaya town knows. Then there is where that &140,000 per year goes. --There was this rumour William Oduol had promised to find the thieves and, may be like Duterte in the Phillipines candidate Ngatia of Kenya, have them stoned to death in Siaya stadium. Win he did the nominations, and the race, but he was not going to be governor was he? But being just another comprador upstart using populism for a ride to catch up on the gravy train, neither was he going to reveal the nature of, nor the forces behind his 'barring' and corrupt demise. 'Oduol is a mole! A TNA mole!' the sheep were conditioned to happily bleat at the doorstep of their own abatoir. These are of course some of the untold background stories why the voting-card take-up in Siaya has been below expectations, yet it is the homeground of the Mighty Tinga, a leading candidate in the unseat Uhuru wolf-pack. One would need such samples for a lab analysis to determine which pesticides -cancer or abortion initiating-- are being used. But no, lack of resources in a county that 'vanishes'' hundred thousands of dollars. One can see why the aggressive Calvin Burgess occasionally may not hide a disdainful sneer at 'these useless people who make noise in offices!' Having worked in Rwanda, I just can't imagine what would happen to Selelah Okoth if Kagame were to hear there is n o laboratory report on pollution of a contested area! In Kenya, in Siaya, this kind of insane incompetence does not strike any politician as a symptom of a dying society. --You vanish 100 thousand dollars then your environmental attache has no bodaboda fare to the site, nor hand-gloves and mkebe to chota muddy water! Let alone laboratory-proofed equipment! It is Calvin versus the Vermin. I know exactly what I am dealing with in my backyard Nyanza. VERMIN, which is the characterisation I used in this thread. jukwaa.proboards.com/thread/9281/vermin-elite-retarded-counties-nyanza END OF FOOTNOTE ONE.

DOMINION'S CEO CALVIN BURGESS VS THE LUO KINGPIN, TINGA The biggest capitalist private investor in Luo Nyanza, CEO Calvin Burgess of Dominion farms, is engaged in an ugly public spat with the greatest politician from that area, honourable Amollo Tinga. This Tinga is also the former prime minister of the RoK. We can comfortably say in Nyanza he has hitherto commanded a religious following, and not just because he is, by pedigree, a royal dynast. It is a battle royal that shall deserve a study. We keep in mind .... The history of all hitherto existing society(2) is the history of class struggles. ---Marx and Engels. There is a saying, or rather a warning, to beware of the proxy forms which the primary antagonism in a class society may adopt; wearing a disguise as it were, to hoodwink the gullible of which, unfortunately, the world is awash with! More about such obfuscations later
.... That later is likely to be when, for instance, we discover the borders of Yala swamp as discussed by Dominion and the defunct Siaya county council, are now indeterminate! And in addition, the new Siaya county authority or government, though an -----administrative continuity----- inheritor of the 'IOU portfolios and MOU's of the defunct, has a roguish tendency to develop selective memory, wherefore some 'CBA's rumoured to have been entered into before the new constitution which ushered in devolution, tend to be null and void and, yes you guessed it, non-existent!' Such ambiguities and transitional confusion can be hijacked deliberately by opportunists, e.g well-tuned shark lawyers in the service of a new and rising constellation of greed, to create ever more extortion toll points. The problem with this OFFICIAL cavalier attitude is, just like Lady Justice Hellen Wasilwa of the doctors' CBA denial is discovering in her moments of wakefulness, a non-existent thing may actually exert more influence than a thing which exists. For all we know, God may be non-existent, yet, in many a country, should you venture such a satanic thought in public, off goes your 'blasphemous' head from your neck. Academic freedom their foot! The lady Judge with a very blind mind was just another partisan, a brain-dead cog used to deliver an intimidating blow to organised labour. These deplorable unionised doctors are inclined toward a new deal in public health care. but there is a scramble out there for the profits of privatised market dominance, a scramble by private investors from within and without, in concert with health insurers and private hospitals, to control and cash in
... in the rising portfolio of health insurance and expenditure in the rising Kenya and the wider EAC. An efficient, working and cherished public health care is a clear and present danger in this profit-oriented cannibalistic thrust. But we wouldn't dare ask nor expect a colonial-minded apparatchik Judge like Hellen Wasilwa --bandit cant! to do her thinking, would we!? No, Solomons and Nestors are far and rare in-between! And even Pontius Pilatus for that matter! Here is an informative commentary from the UK on the evolution of their National Health Service after the Thatcherite privatisation storm. Anyway! BACK TO THE BACK WATERS OF MY NYANZA Howbeit Big Capital finds itself at war with Big politicians in Siaya Luo, what gives? What, as they say, is? behind this apparent battle royal? The supreme leader, much occupied elsewhere building his latest ramshackle aka NASA, has not found it up to his dignity nor worth his while to dignify the CEO of Dominion, the land-mover Calvin Burgess, with a rejoinder. This after a much publicised media event in which the swamp-reclaiming American rice-grower accused the Luo Kingpin of sabotage through proxies. Agwambo has left the fish-farm and sugarcane hobbyist to be torn into by his ever ready coterie of hell-hounds. We now see Gem Mpig Jakoyo ka Midiwo who only a while ago was ever at exposing governor Rasanga's Jubilee-like heists, singing from the same book with his fellow blue-blood. And here is a blast from the past which points to a running sore, and the dangerous flip-flops that come with populism without an exit strategy. I have always been keen on the presence of Dominion in Yala swamp, Siaya. -Why, because it is a precious confrontation between a super capitalist operator and, opposite, the most extreme forms of backwardness under the tutelage of regressed politicians. Such politicians never saw a chance for extorting a bribe they didn't cash in on. Neither did they see a chance for swindling the peasantry they didn't utilise. They are permanently caught in a double game between double-crossing the people they represent, and when these rise up, double-crossing the other side, in this case, the private investor whose bribes they grew fat on. All the trenchant issues facing rural Africa in its rising trajectory called industrialisation via FDI, manifest themselves in this microcosm in Siaya, right in my backyard, the Miguna-alleged Odinga caliphate. It is history compressed in a test-tube, at a lab near me! A story from Bondo: baby Fred Otieno www.arc-kenya.org/index.php?pagetitle=Neglected CHild That is the kind of backwater extreme which may not be unique. DOMINION BREAKS GROUND. Calvin Burgess is no stranger to working rotten African set-ups. We have seen Dominion in action elsewhere in Africa. In Nigeria. Nigeria is the top African republic where the likes of Sambo Dasuki steal billions of dollars meant for armament procurement, then send soldiers to fight Boko Haram with 2nd world-war museum rifles. Dealing with the immorality, the unscrupulousness, the bestial mentality of public officials and conscienceless politicians of Nigeria, is more than good preparation for navigating the debauched layrinths of the '2nd Oga copycat republic of Kenya! Friends in high places have always been helpful Dominion is a primed ruthless, competent capitalist go-getting racket, a top predator, and arriving in Nyanza backyards, it would test Luo cultural sophistication to breaking point. It would use, chew and exhaust the primitive tenets of Luo culture -like religion and witchcraft which, since Marx, we know are the same thing; it would align with the pretenders to modernity, but spit them out in uncompromising selfishness when they threaten its interests or prove duplicituous fakes (like expensive Lake Basin experts proved to be); and in her boundless aggressiveness she would shock sensibilities which hadn't quite seen it coming when they said yeah, welcome, white saviour. Dominion is here to take it all, lamented a man in Bondo side of the swamp. Dominion's settlement would be akin to, long ago, when the whiteman identified Winam Gulf (of Kisumu) as a nice place for a port. Then with the impunity and arrogance then typical, the whiteman got on with it. That was the era of colonial political relationships, with the peasantry little more than human wild, and if black and the aristocracy white, then definitely wild game. (This is not to claim the landgrabs of the arid Meles Zenawi and his starved Tigrayans were any kinder!) Capitalism respects private property yes, but with no 'title-deed' to 'communal land, added to the hubris of the mythical superiority of race, the issue of ownership in the way as understood by capitalism in private property did not arise in the colonial mind. This mind set found profitable too, to allege the native had not enough humanity to concieve of value, wherefore the issue of compensation too, did not arise. It was a conflict doomed to end in a lot of tears and bloodshed in many parts of the world. In Namibia, the Germans just embarked on a systematic mass extermination of the locals, a forerunner to the later holocaust. PORT FLORENCE AND RAILWAY BEACH POINT Economically this was 1. the industrial bourgeoisie carrying out their historical revolution of overthrowing feudalism and the aristoaristocracygoing world-wide. 2. the capitalist mode with its missionaric drive toward concentrating capital arrived in Nyanza. The geographical manifestation (of this concentration) would be a large and formal settlement (as an administrative cum industrial center) and it had arrived in pre-capitalist Nyanza, with no intention of beating a retreat. Thereto did Port Florence have only one option, to embrace its capitalist future, a long goodbye to its folklorish past. Yeah, Port Florence, along with Luo politicology, had to come to terms with this new gun-armed God. We had to learn, evolve, accommodate the new, re-orient in the new world, before rebooting name to Kisumu to recapture some semblance of historical identity. Today, Kisumu the former port Florence, the former KisumO, is the commercial capital of Luo Nyanza, and proudly too, even if it has challenges like a dumping site within its international stadium! ----But that neglect is because the stadium is named after the KANU killer Arap Moi, and not his Luo victim Robert Ouko Seda. But that is another story. It was this ruthless, relentless colonial capitalist accumulation which yanked Kisumo off her feudal fame as the 'place of commodity exchange', Ka-Kisuma, batter trade point, and metamorphosed her into a leading damsel of MONETARY, commercialised terms, aka Port Florence. By the time the Luo as Kenyans reclaimed her after independence and rebaptised her off her Flowery English name, KisumO had mutated into a monster far from the occasional bush market it once was. It was now strictly cash terms. A hard and a ruthless place exacting rents, and politically volatile. Today it is a capital city. The largest in the Miguna caliphate, and it remains politically volatile because like the colonial Port Florence which thwarted mass aspirations, the current Kisumu is not bequeathing itself well in opening new avenues for the self-realisation of her young. -' Tholo mal e wi bodaboda e chieng' maliet, royo mana yawuowi!' ----Ball-crushing Bodaboda toil as the choice hustling economic activity of the hordes of young men leaving school, is a tale of bedtime blues the equivalent of the one wrought in central by the abuse of strong alcohol by young men. But, this clash between a determined capitalism and an unsure peasant mode, this confrontation which brutally transformed Africa, always needs an in-depth because not every aspect has been unravelled and stored away in world libraries. And so the muddy swamps of Yala throws us a titanic duel. Calvin Burgess versus Raila, in an election year. And a footnote from the communist manifesto Now, how much will it cost to expel the monster Dominion from Siaya? I haven't studied the devil in the details of the original lease yet! But the mature bourgeoisie wouldn't have established world hegemony if they were a naive lot, no!? It takes nothing less than a mobilising revolutionary thought inspiring and organisiing mass participation to tame them. Offering a new deal. The second republic in its Ogaland-like corruption, is far from a new dealer!

CLUELESSNESS CAN BE CURED, BUT USELESSNESS? Recently, the twittersphere burst with ridicule at the address of his Excellency Uhuru Kenyatta. This was in reaction to the Open Mania in which the president seemed to delight in opening everything, even the daily breaking day. The matter came to a head when the president went to open a footbridge, Buxton, and ended up involved in a verbal altercation (over the apportioning of credits) with the Mombasa governor --Joho-- who was hosting the event. But all this ridicule doth deeply disturb me. Because I gave it a different reading. This twitter outburst was a nervous laugh. It betrayed an anxiety at the heart of the nation of Kenya. In my opinion, in suggests an instinctive recognition bursting surface, that this frenzy of openings which the president officiates, reflect, at worst, a cluelessness and uselessness at the top, and best, the president in a shameful role, making a nuisance of himself and diminishing the stature of his office; more so when the nation is obviously at a CRITICAL juncture in its history ---rising! (And critical is not about M7 beefing up his footprint on Migingo by deploying special forces, nor is it about Al-Shabaab collecting KDF skulls at will across) So I asked myself, if breaking the seal on footbridges, slum toilets, matatu stages, or commisioning hoduma kiosks and such like, are declared by the twiterati to be beneath his excellency's fly whisk, what like, could the president of the biggest economy in east and central Africa --(I read Ethiopia is breathing down our necks but not yet abreast!)--- open or launch, which would be up to his Muthamaki historical dignity? So I just went to history books and thumbed through what kings opened when Kingship was still a title beyond the rubbish heap of history! Yes, The King is wheeled out to launch a new phase in their naval history. Very far from a footbridge I tell ya. But that is yesterday. Let us back several centuries! Take Henry the 8th of England. He was a pus-symaniac whose preferred method of divorce was to behead the spouse, but he had more in him. Today the British Monarch remains The supreme governor of the Church of England, thanks to Henry's headiness when he smelled Puszy. Let me stop there before I tell you about Peter The Russian Great and his 'opening' of Saint Petersburg on the shores of the Baltic Sea! I am just saying, with reference, that, if the His Excellency of your Great nation, a demigod also known as the undisputed Muthamaki, makes a public living opening footbridges and slum toilets in 2017, a deep writhing of anxiety will seep through the subterranean of the land, aware of what other nations going real places are doing. Here is a better pre-occupation for his Excellency if he wants some real legacy.

SERIOUSLY THINKING Let me tell you a story. The much-touted SGR (standard gauge railway) has less impact than the Uganda railway of 1901 or thereabouts. The Owen Falls Dam power project of 1954 at Jinja, had a greater transformationAL impact throughout East Africa at Large, than LAPPSET. The story I am telling you is, let us do human developemnt. But independent African countries must never boast of ther infra-structure achievement. Even colonial governments did stuff like that, and on more life-impacting scale, overcoming more tremendous adversities than today. ---The level of technology being one such basal challenge. Then, by the time the United Kingdom had a population of 25 million, she was building infrastructure in every fcuking and god-forsaken terrain around the globe. From Malaysia to Belize, from Egypt to Australia Britannia reigned, and between them, ruling the waves. If one seriously takes thought of all the challenges of such a hostile world-wide (colonial) project, one would necessarily shudder at how small and unimaginative the minds of Kibaki and Raila must have been, for them to boast of the Thika super highway - built and financed by the Chinese! When Engineer Marc Brunel delivered the first tunnel under the Thames for the London underground around 1843, his concern was a whole tube network of transport and how it would be electrified, not hitting some sorry-assed self-congratulatory tone. How miniscule then must the minds of Uhuruto be, opening footbridges and railway stations in Mlolongo to much TV fanfare and orgy of publicity. For a moment I looked up when the president Ouru trashed governor Kidero and announced the formation of the Nairobi Metropolitan transport authority. I waited for his Excellency to follow it up. The commissioning of Kenya's very 'Brunel' and a guild of no-nonsense ace engineers to do the job up tempo at excellence! But alas, no sooner had the son of Jomo uttered that nice thought that his lazy mind sped elsewhere, likely to meat and drink off the campaign trail! But what has really enraged me into an abusive bliss, is the shameful project of building a wall between Kenya and Somalia. The ostensible dogdy reason is, it will contain terrorism by preventing the infiltration of Al-Shabaab footsies from across. The real reason is likely to be the looting of funds. Shabaab boasts quite a battery of deadly Kenyans. It is like Kenyans killing Kenyans over there. ### On the other hand, I thought we had deployed the KDF in that wilderness, so we could play colonial power England over Scotland. I am minded to say let us do it then, take our 'pacification and civilising tasks' seriously. We should make Somalia an offer they can not refuse. A 200-year deal. Unity and Equality, an unreserved and unconditional integration into the East African Economic Community. And that is total free movement of the people inclusive, both ways. To hell with this small-minded wall touted by even smaller-minded politicians fired by narrow greed. Away with this fictitious and nonsensical solution to a historical and national quagmire. If the KDF boys must die abroad, let them die for something loftier than the creation of charcoal millionaires at the DoD. Let them die for something grandiose, equality and unity like the Northerners in the American civil war! I look at our arms purchases with disdain. The emaciated drought-stricken children of Turkana, need another kind of defence expenditure. Of course education is the keyBut if such classrooms still exist in the biggest economy in the region with pretences to middle income classifications, thinking of the NYS heist of over a billion, not to mention the Mafya House heist, then I feel very comfortable refering to whoever referringng such a country as a retarded animal. All through the coming months we will continue to witness these retarded animals gallivant from rally to rally in high and mighty choppers. Obviously jet fuel and aerosol are in plenty, but not a drop of water for drying throats in Turkana. Then meseems we can as well bring our army home to, to dig wells to water camels that give milk to forgotten humans. BI AMINA'S WORK CUT OUT FOR HERAfter her LAVISH debacle at the African Union posh, our Aminah can now come down to earth and do some serious work for a change. She can purpose, and propose an economic merger to her brothers holed up in Mogadishu, and, too, her cousins organised in Al-Shabaab. The Union Republic of Kenya and Somalia, TURKASO, if we have to give the project a temporary working name. And we aren't tallking annexation talkingt Tanganyika's on Zanzibar. We are talking the fruitful union template of England and Scotland, aka UK. Meanwhile lets build that wall. But there is this terrifying cultural statistic to keep in mind. The Al-Shabaab brigade which has been responsible for Kenya's greatest woes in Somalia is named after a Kenyan, And to top it all up this is how deep we are into it ### Build that Trumpian wall then.

Mkuu, It is important to recognise a long-running crisis. The current doctors' strike counts as an instalment within the ongoing crisis in the health sector in Kenya. Former Minister Nyong'o was here before ex cabinet secretary Ngilu and now, Maillu. The jailing of the Unionists by that Wasilwa woman is an escalation. In the wider world of labour relations in Kenya, the doctors' strike is just but an aspect. There is actually a situation of general labour unrest in the republic, a plague --if one considers the number of strikes in the past year. Concurrently with the doctor's strike are a few others like the University teachers. The answer to this crisis in labour relations is obvious: a historical compromise. Such an endeavour, such a social contract involves organised labour, organised capital (e.g federation of Kenya employers from both the public and private sector), the government and opposition of the day, ie parliamentary bipartisanship. This is not just your run-of-the-mill Kenyan MOU's which every Tom Dick and Harry come to power can develop an amnesia on; nay, neither is this a verbal CBA agreement which, a year later, one party never heard of! But because we are in a political crisis, obvious and sensible, long-term and effective solutions are no-go areas. This inability to do the obvious sensible thing, is what in higher studies is called the crisis of underdevelopment. For instance, everybody knows hunger has a solution. But, cyclically, The PORK is a food-aid beggar, whining a SAIDIA MASKINI at the so-called international partners. And this week with drought a national disaster declared, H.E Uhuru Kenyatta suit. JKUAT, UoN, Kabete, Moi and Egerton university produce enough technically proficient engineers, agronomists, irrigationists, weathermen and whatever agriculturally-skills you have, but to harness this brain-power into a weapon which transforms the arid areas of Kenya into lands of honey and milk like the Israelis have done with their deserts, is a project not on the cards. That is a manifestation of the crisis of underdevelopment. Just like jailing Union leader doctors who are the lead negotiating partners toward a solution to the health crisis. It is, as if a in special case of Murphy's law, we insist on the worst possible options! Now, returning to the medical sector, what can I say? With the Union leaders jailed, it is more like 1950's Kenya. You know those Kaggia, Kubai and the rest days when labour activity was a front for many a social ailment. And in that narrative, Justices like Judge Hellen Wasilwa is some colonial apparatchik charged with the keeping the organising natives in their place --the cells. But these are the 20-somethings, and that was the new constitution. Obviously it is tattered before it can even grow into use. It creates desperate need for a new think. Soon after the doctors met HE Uhuru Kenyatta in Mombasa and walked back on their word to him, I argued elsewhere that our doctors were not sincere with the industrial action and that they were reaping big from Kenyans' miseries. Well, COTU's Francis Atwoli has had a first hand one-on-one engagement with the doctors and the government in a bid to resolve the matter. He indicted the doctors for insincerity and outright betrayal of citizens and everyone else involved. The doctors were/are not in this for me and you, but for themselves. ~~ Mwalimumkuu @nyumbakubwa ~~

PENELOPEGATE, GAYGATE, AND THE EXTREME LEFT AND RIGHT; AND THE OTHER UNMENTIONABLE WATERGATE And Kenya, here come the French! But know the gates I mention not! At the end of the first round of the presidential elections in France, Marine le Pen of the Front National will be --more or less---- the man or lady to beat. For simplicity lets call her the extreme right. Yes, she and her ilk hate foreigners ---non-white foreigners, with a vengeance, even if they want to sell Peugeot cars and perfumes to them. Peugeot was one of the first industries back to Iran after Obama's limited sanction lift. Within the socialist party of the abdicated François Hollande, his prime minister and anointed successor, also at Elysee, Manuel Valls, was defeated in the primaries by someone more to the left, Benoit Hamon, a former education minister. He is not expected to make it to the second round. He is an old school French patriot who, like former economically nationalistic economic affairs minister Arnaud Montebourg, frowns on Anglo-Saxon take-over of France and is uncomfortable with the German diktat over the EU. This sentiment is also visible at the extreme right. But Le Pen goes as far as to flirt with ditching the Euro. And she is much emboldened by Brexit. Centre right is candidate Francois Fillon. These are the republicans who do not know what to do with the sovereign legacy of Charles De Gaulle. Despite the fifth republic's protestations to being anti-clerical, Fillon is a professed catholic and a social conservative. And that comes with a lot of white patriotic baggage. In the primaries, Fillon dispatched former president Nicolas Sarkozy and former prime minister Alain Juppe. Fillon was prime minister under Sarkozy from 2007 to 2012. Juppe was prime minister under Jacques Chirac from 1995-1997. It is a revolving door at the top of France. What these gentlemen, fossils Marine calls them, can do now what they did not do then is not clear. Send the Titanic to the bottom is a good guess. The man of the moment, on everybody's lips is the cometically-risen former Rothschild banker, also former minister for economic affairs under Hollande, Emmanuel Macron. He is young and colourful and dazzlingly Anglo-Saxon neo-liberal, and perhaps can be forgiven his boyish sins. One of those sins is the destruction (Macron says salvation) of the French Tech giant ALSTOM. There are others. But this one, the intimidated sale of the jewel at a throw-away price to American GE, to the consternation of Arnaud Montebourg, his predecessor, who resigned thereover, raised more bile than controversies over the length of the working week and the position of Sunday work. Macron officially says he is neither left nor right. We will find out if he can grow further to remind us of Chairman Deng: don't matter colour of cat so long it catches the mice. France got a lot of mice which need catching, or lots of loose ends which need tying up. Banning the ultra-popular Afro-French comedian Dieudonne Mbala-Mbala is a symptom of just how intellectually narrow modern France has become. Even within Europe, a diminished nation. Macron promises he is The Messiah they long for. And his weapon is the freed fire of the market. This tension raging at the heart of the socialist party could not be resolved within. Emmanuel Macron quit after a while, to prepare his gambit, and is now running as an independent at the head of a marching youth movement to save France from lethargic inertia. And he has a not so secret weapon. He is a thoroughgoing neo-liberalist. I suspect Thatcharite. Margaret Thatcher thought the Britain she inherited was at the bottom. Everything in it had to change, to market run, for her to rise again. ''There is no such thing as society'', she famously declared in a moment beside itself with fury. It was genuine fury, and she changed Britain forever. But then, Maggie was a genuine article, a genuine ideological character. ' France is still dithering in indecision, held hostage by the kind of traditional 'oxbridge' elite Margaret Thatcher held responsible for the demise of Great Britain. In France they come from the Superior Colleges conveyor belt. NOW FOR A HUMAN TAKE, THE SCANDALS. 1. PENELOPEGATE.Penelope, and we are not talking that most faithful of all queens of pre-antiquity, is the wife of candidate Fillon. She worked for him long ago and was paid by the taxpayer. Or did she? It is not clear what her duties were, neither is she clear about them, which leads to suspicion of fraudulent behaviour. It all happened a long time ago really and Fillon has occupied high office without the scandal breaking him, so why it has been racked up to such prominence now is a bit of a mystery. Perhaps the stakes are just too high now. 2. GAYGATE.The original joke was Emmanuel Macron has a mother fixation. He is married to a woman decades his senior. Then up has come a new explanation. He is a closet gay, and has been having a secret affair with another prominent gay Parisian, the head of public broadcasting radio. He denies both --the affair and being gay. First he denied being gay, but he was reminded one can have a gay affair without being gay! So he improved on his earlier denial. At this rate it means tabloid is how to get the measure of the candidates running for public office in France. That should mean with the current crop, there is no place for the fifth republic to go except down. As for Peugeot PSA Citroen back to assembly in Kenya, one has to know they have lost in the EU market ---dominated by Volkswagen and German Opel, to the Eastern monsters too. Toyota --now with the leading technology of HYBRIDE (of the famous pririus) has set the bar on environmental cleanliness. French cars even at home come far after Toyota, Daewoo, ford Kia, Suzuki. They have nowhere to go. French cars used to be King in Iran --so too in Francophone Africa, but the West declared sanctions on Iran and the USA ordered them out. They are going back there to re-fire old glory, but Tehran moved on too. Ol Glory sounds like the Shah of Persia. The Mullahs prefer state of the art turbines and nuclear reactors and TGV-trains such only ALSTOM can make (bar Siemens), but behold, Macron surrendered Alstom to GE, and Trump's security men have just declared Iran a leading sponsor of global terrorism! consider ... on a light touch VELAYATI: Of course we love French cars, especially second hand ones. They are all over Tehran. But what I really want and would love in our new relationship, are 400 nuclear reactors and their King technology from Alstom! Mmmm, I can't wait! MACRON: I don't think Uhuru Kenyatta should be seen opening a Peugeot assembly line at Thika. A TGV line from Daresalam to Nairobi to Juba is more like a presidential level. Then you wake me up to song Uhuru Akhbar. Meanhwile let me watch the soap, the gates. NB: the LIBYAWATERGATE: IT was France which first attacked Libya under false pretext, eventually leading to the horrific murder of Gaddafi and the total destruction of Libya. But this gate is not tabloid, and so I can't feature it. Neither can I talk of the French deliberate bombing of the Libyan irrigation infrastructure. It is unmentionable. Like a dirty secret. Men from superior colleges around Paris, they do you slow genocide behind your back. Watch it, Mr. PORK. You are better off on a state visit to Tehran, Ouru. To talk about a Man-made-blooming desert in Turkana! ---- starving Turkanas while you open car plants, that is what I mean by you anit watching your back boy!NB: Have a moment to think of the name befitting the scandal of the French bombing this project to render it mute!

CALVIN BURGESS OF DOMINION FARMS TAKES ON AGWAMBO, OR?One can muse on the battle lines shaping up within the political economy of Kenya. There are plenty turf wars raging amongst the elite, of which we are increasingly being privy to, as they burst the traditional channels of conflict resolution. There is the one pitting drug barons against entrenched state looters of which the JOHO versus RUTO is the public face; there is the industrial catch-up race against China of which, in the motor assembly tracks, the recent entry of PSA Peugeot-Citroen and Volkswagen in the business, with plans and plants launched with much fanfare with the President as signatory, are hints. Feeling outflanked, old colonial power Europe is returning with a vengeance at the usurpist bastard Oriental, encroaching on the whiteman's god-given markets! A bit late. Foton China was here wayback in 2012! Or was that just a mere rumour: China with its ' African digital silk road', following the failure of India (Airtel) capital, moving in on Vodaphone's golden-egg-laying goose, the Safaricom monopoly? Well, it is thinkable Uhuruto's easy passage through the ICC included promises on their part to go slow on the LOOK-EAST SH!t of their predecessor, aka Othaya Genius. You never know desperate the EU was or is in its never-ending economic crisis which, with Brexit and the Trump upsurge factor, now becomes an existential crisis. We have also seen the battle of the interest rates cap. A president forced into populism in an electoral year is faced down by greedy parasitic banking fraternity, with his own treasury by mouth of finance minister and Central Banker, all trashing his signature on the bill. It is one hell of a huge spat if you ask me. Not to mention their patron saint, THE IMF, weighing in with venom. That is the wider world out there. But I want to go back to the smaller world around here, Luo Nyanza. Calvin Burgess versus Raila Odinga is a big local story, but with international implications of course. However, in a domestic Nyanza setting, they are just local land grabbers quarrelling over public land and illicit money, aka bribes: real or imagined MOU's about Campaign donations, or kickbacks or lobby fees is the beating about the bush way to talk about it. Raila's side is yet to be told. At another thread, I was in my element on the subterranean and not too subterranean mines in the relationship between Big Capital and locals whose territory is of economic interest to Big Capital Investment for huge returns. Something always gotta give, and not in the least, the relationship between local facilitators and Big Capital, once their quisling role is spent. (Footnotes from the Philippines, Papua New Guinea aka Irian-Njaya, Ethiopian Anywak, North Dakota Pipeline etc, will do at a later date.) My object of interest was Turkana as Oilland while her people are on the deathbed by starvation! The state looking on in feigned helplessness! Yes, closer to home at the caliphate, it would appear Lake Kanyaboli, like Naivasha, is dried up. Large scale investment for you. And the people? Like the Maa people, they have been herded away and some think their own King did the Laibon Lenana thumb print. -What a story! Everybody is crying wolf! Which should mean they are all wolves in a feeding arrangement gone wrong. That is not unusual in the animal Kingdom. No, Calvin does not want a Raila presidency. No doubt about that. Yaye, Agwambo, your former pet Calvin Burgess has become the proverbial serpent. After you helped him get community land on the cheap years ago, he has now grown fat enough to take on you and drown you in his pool of mud. He fancies himsel a top predator. The Great Agwambo is nothing but an extortionist hiding behind village ruffians! Luoland's biggest private investor and Luolands Greatest Politician are at it in public! It is a conflict worth a serious ponder. For its consequences are harsh. Whichever way. Chinua Achebe describes how the Christians took over Umuofia. They first settled on the forbidden land. This was the evil forest lying fallow and which locals were happy to see them take. And then as time went
. This is of course ALSO a quarrel between two limited land grabbers --for unlimited landgrabbers (Moi Kenyatta Kibaki) see other hectareages! That is the primitive capitalist way. If Raila grabbed Molasses land, Burgess grabbed swathes of Yala swamp. Investment. The thing is they should have brought, by their investment, enough local economic uplift to neutralise their original sin, enough good times to bribe the complicity of the majority, the community when it is land. O so so sensitive land! It is a quid pro quo. But if you grab land and at the same time fail to show the benefits of the development, local sensibilities are antagonised and in deed you will need ARMED PROTECTION. --Against a terrorist outfit like Mau Mau for instance! You also accrue the resentment well of historical injustices unresolved. Some of us will know the unresolved issues of land --yes, the so-called historical injustices, still ring around in such 'INVASIONS' as we have seen in LAIKIPIA this past week. He!? They are not Maasai! Until the small print where the devil lies. It is the economy stupid.
The thing is MOU's between Big Capital and Peasants end the same way. Big Capital unilaterally abrogates them once they reach take-off stage. Laibon Lenana wasn't the only joker taken for a ride. Calvin Burgess has grown big and now reckons he does not need Raila Odinga no more, even in Da Ker Madi't backyard. The Luo Ker is a faded and gone power quantity. Calvin has jumped ship and found grander patrons. In an election year, I have to remember the words of the injured man to his former spouse. --YOU PICKED A FINE TIME TO LEAVE ME, LUCILE. Calvin Burgess sure picked a fine time to drive the pile up Odinga's ars. But know your enemy: here is a little publicised incident involving Calvin Burgess's Dominion in Nigeria article will be copypasted in full as historical document of interest. Meanwhile lessons to learn.

OURU SWEEPS CITY TOILETS WITH KIDERO, A QUIXOTIC CHARGECampaigning to reverse Nairobi county to Jubilee rule, President Kenyatta and his sidekick Pancha Ruto, waded into the brewing sewer which is Nairobi. Nairobi city, I saw the comprative drone aerial, has its West Side which is as lavish as Beverly Hills ---complete with mammoth swimming pools, undrought stricken of course! But, a tale of two cities, there is the other side where 80% of city dwellers live, if it can be called that. It is a sewage belt which, Dandora filth dump apart, close up might look like this. On the world stage it is like thisAnd here is a nice cine post-card for visitors, the unmissable facade I agree with Ouru Kenyatta. This is because I am a student of 5-year plans of state transformation, sometimes called development programs, you know, like those Deng Hsiao Ping leap-forward things which in two decades sped China past everyone else bar the USA! And of course the mother of all of them, the Wirtschaftswunder. And No, not the post war one credited to Chancellor Konrad Adenauer and his ' Tom Mboya', Ludwig Erhard , no, that was a repeat. I am more like the original one of Hjalmar Schacht under the NAZI wolf, Adolf Hitler. When men go to work with a plan, 4 years is a lifetime. Turns a whole country around, and not necessarily a Thomas Sankara. But if both women and men get organised and go to work, then, if it took God a whole seven days to make the world, I guarantee a better miracle. Wuothi eka ine paro, isum. Joluo nowacho. --the Luos say, if there is already a precedent, why bother with originality? (I think it is a variation on labouring to discover the wheel twice) At these standards --precedents already set decades ago elsewhere, and repeated so much around the globe urban transformation is now an ABC task, Kidero's tenure is correctly characterised by Ouru Kenyatta as a sh!ty regime. The only problem of course, is Ouru himself is no-better; like Kidero, apart from their shared sweet tooths for state goodies, H.E Muigai is also a sh!t head running a sh!ty regime. Only bigger and nationally more disastrous. DROUGHT NOW A NATIONAL DISASTER For starters check the pictures of drought-stricken Kenyans in plight thirst! And as you do that, before we delve into the fact of TURKANA as a starving OIL-LAND, hold in mind the recent military purchases. They totalled an excess of 50 Billion. The drought has been declared a national disaster, to compete with Al-Shabaab and the drug trafficking I suppose. Eh, international partners can be fatigued by beggars. The other day in similar terms, president Kenyatta urged the EU to do more to facilitate Kenya and AMISOM in their fight against terrorism in Somalia! At the same time there is the Kenyan hostility to the ICC and the drive to close down Daabab refugee camp at all costs. It is a sh!t mess alright at the top, but that does not mean baboons never laugh at the baboon ass in front! In fact it is the high point in baboon world to point at one in front and go hysterical in laughter. As we listen to our politicians on both sides of the divide harangue each other on the endless campaign trail, it is the baboon game all the way, and we, the voters and larger baboon colony, are game. We thunder with laughter at the other! Imagine the likes of Jack Ranguma of Kisumu standing in a Bomet rally to criticise anybody for incompetence! A hint. THE OTHER PLAN TURKANA is of course the oil region of Kenya. The history of conflicts between indigenous peoples living a top a resource big capital covets and governments which need the proceeds from that resource, indicates the 'disappearance' of those peoples isn't exactly a tear shed at the distant capital city with its greedy, uppity administrators beholden to other agendas and masters. One must therefore not underestimate the political economy of hunger in Turkana. With all Turkana's dead, marginalised voiceless or migrated elsewhere, the big oil corps like Tullow have no loose ends to worry about in the he local area. They do not have to hire death squads to clear the territory, neither do they have to hire the military to conduct genocide to free the land! Now, is there evidence where indigenous populations have been 'evacuated' somehow that their resources be exploited with impunity? ----how about the Kenyan Central highlands as 'uninhabited and declared whiteman's highlands,' back in the early days of the last century. Die O Turkanas die! You are a black eyesore A fly swimming in our black soup! And so I call my president a sh!t head. Look at the Turkanas, and look at the posh oil rigs in their territory! Omera Ouru, bedie gima nigi wiye. (a bit of head would be good on a head of state) NB: A long time ago the mayor of Nairobi was a certain Margaret. Wait for the political economy of her mayorship, vis-a-vis land!

SOUTH AFRICAN PARLIAMENT IN MELTDOWN:
Military musclemen disguised as security stewards evict opposition from LEGICO during state of nation adress
See what you make of this ---'Mr. President you are a constitutional deliquent, you are a shame to parliament, leave baba!'
SONA 2017 - EFF Mbuyiseni Ndlozi tells President Jacob Zuma "leaves the house BABA" #SONA2017
F***k YOU!
Perhaps like the Roman senate reducing itself to a joke whereby authority seeps elsewhere, considering our Kenya too had its 'fracas' and police cordon, we are witnessing the slow demise of the parliamentary system. The way the two speakers in south africa look bewildered, this house hardly looks capable of handling the myriad problems of that republic. --Order order order! yells the madam speaker desperately! and others respond: FAK YOU ZUMA'S WH-HORE!
It is dangerous!
Here is Julius Malema making a point, Zuma is disqualified from a presence in parliament

THE CHRONICLES OF A RUBBISH SOLUTION
Professor Peter Baba Lupita Anyang' Nyong'o and incumbent county boss Jack Nyanunga Ranguma are vying for the Lordship over the rubbish pit called Kisumu. The other day Cameroun beat Egypt in the African cup of Nations, but this continental show comes to Kenya next time, I read, Kisumu city will be bypassed as host. The reason would be amazing to foreigners: It officially reads: Kisumu city stadium has an open-air DUMPING SITE WITHIN the stadium precincts!
Now, imagine being a Kisumu Luo filled of much self-importance like yours truly and, having introduced yourself in some dreary African capital as hailing from the African Geneva aka Kisumo Luo Nyanza, find yourself the object of expensive ridicule and spicy smegma. 'You come from a city where they have a dumping pit inside the stadium and you want to host a world tournament!? Black plague you will infect us with! Away with thee, sewer rat!'
Sewer rat! Ei, sewer rat! ondoyo e ther guok mane man-gi nyach momiyo iluogo Jaluo oyiech brain is in the toilet!? --who runs this sewer belt called Kisumu which has became the Luo shame of Africa?
Omera Ranguma, Omera Nyong'o, if you do not have the honour of Oedipus to blind yourselvs and exile yourselves to the land of the Afterlife, you should be forcefully expelled from life under the sun. A random look at a rubbish solution.
A few days later.
Not for lack of trying.
And then this at th end of 2016. Yawa! Loch rombe ok ruenyre! Moni ji kaw kura! Thoo!
