Let me first congratulate the Kibaki government for unearthing a dastardly coup plot organized by high ranking cabinet ministers.

a few minutes ago and found to my shock that kumbe Raila, Kalonzo, Anyang’ Nyong’o, Balala, Ntimama, Ayako, Uhuru Kenyatta and William Ruto have been busy plotting to overthrow the Kenyan government under the guise of agitating against the Wako Draft.

I call upon Internal Security minister John Michuki and his assistant Mirugi Kariuki to immediately swing into action and send convoys of Flying Squad troops to immediately nab these coup plotters and charge them with treason!

After all, if David Ochami could be arrested for writing an opinion in a newspaper and Ndolo and Mwenje arrested after they had been granted bail- after being assaulted with chairs thrown by Banana intoxicated mobs, the ring leaders of the most severe threat to the three year old NARC administration should not be driving around scot free ama?

Of course I am being deliberately sarcastic.

Can you imagine how RIDICULOUS John Michuki and Company look when they go to a public rally to LIE BRAZENLY that there is a coup plot in the offing when this country boasts one of Africa’s most professional intelligence services?

The NAK gang must be told in no uncertain terms to stop insulting the intelligence of Kenyans.

Why all this reckless coup gossip by Nyachae, Michuki and their ilk?

Are we back to the days when Daniel arap Moi used to popularize the Mwakenya movement by updating Kenyans every time the underground movement dropped leaflets in Archer’s Post, Moyale and Kibwezi?

Let us call this what it is:

Some of us have been waiting for the Yes camp to unleash its allegedly meticulously planned onslaught against their referendum enemies.

Is this it?

This cacophony of idle gossip and slander by people who must know that they are lying through their teeth? Think about it. Given the fear, the loathing and the terror that the name Raila Odinga evokes among the ranks of the Yes team, does one seriously think that Agwambo would be free for three seconds if a credible plot linked to him was unearthed? What do these NAK people take Kenyans for? Fools?

And who is Raila Odinga and Company plotting with?

Why, the same 26 donors that Kibaki, Mwiraria, Kiraitu and the rest of the NARC government rely on for financial handouts?

The very same donors that have made NARC promise to fire tens of thousands of civil servants?

These development partners are today plotting the very government that is shoring up their geo-political interests in the East and Central African region?

Surely the Banana team can come up with more credible fabrications?

As I have stated elsewhere, the Yes team is attempting to use the same scare tactics that George Bush used in the 2004 American elections.

Let them note a crucial difference between the American and Kenyan voters:

Our wananchi are way smarter, more politically conscious and more sophisticated than those simple minded rural GOP supporters who could be manipulated by racist, homophobic and sexist bogeymen.

The Yes team should remember that in the dying days of the Moi dictatorship, KANU employed precisely the same crude scare tactics against NARC- but did the Kenyan electorate buy that bunk and junk?

That was a rhetorical question.

I think that on Monday or Tuesday next week Raila Odinga, Najib Balala, William Ole Ntimama, Anyang’ Nyongo, Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto, Ochilo Ayako and other Orange Team leaders should move swiftly to the High Court of Kenya and file a defamation suit against those alleging that the Orange team is plotting a coup.

This reckless idle talk must be thwarted.

Even as I write these lines, I am aware that our country's Chief Justice Evans Gicheru was apparently too tired to meet with legislators wanting to meet him about the fascist abduction of two MPs who had been released on bond:

Who says that judges do not have strongly held political and tribal feelings?

I am almost convinced that Michuki, Mirugi, Kiraitu, Karume and Nyachae are up to a great deal of mischief which may or may not involve a sinister dirty tricks campaign.

Kenya’s history is littered with manufactured “ethnic clashes” “coup plots” “terrorist attacks” “political assassinations” on the eve of major electoral contests.

Who is to say whether or not the Banana Contingent is not now plotting some calamity that they will be quick to blame on Raila and company?

We all remember the February 27, 1975 bombing of the OTC which the Kenyatta regime used as a grisly smokescreen to divert attention from the torture and slaughter of Nyandarua North MP J.M. Kariuki.

Is it possible that in the coming days Kenyans will read of an assassination attempt on Mwai Kibaki that the NAK team will then blame on their opponents?

Let us not rule out these blood-curdling scenarios.

Dr. Crispin Odhiambo Mbai was shot to death in his own living room at the height of the Bomas Conference because he was seen as one of Raila’s aides and by silencing him a terrorist message was being sent to the Langata MP by the people who masterminded that political assassination.

Have the Kenyan police arrested and questioned Juja MP William Kabogo who is alleged to have bankrolled those marauding panga wielding youth who were bused in from Nairobi to invade the Orange rally in Thika about two weeks ago?

Have the Kenyan special branch questioned the owners of the FM station which was talking about the nyamu cia ruguru?

Kenyans can see through the subterfuge, the double standards, the lies, the desperation, the vile ukabila, the character assassination and of course they can smell the reeking Wako Draft from as far off as Lokichoggio, Lunga Lunga and Ndhiwa.

One of the most encouraging pieces of news is the arrival in the country on Sunday of the doyen and elder statesman of global politics, Nelson Mandela.

Progressive, patriotic and democratic Kenyans should know that Madiba is famous for speaking his mind- remember how he demanded to be shown Dedan Kimathi's grave?

I am pretty sure he has been following Kenyan political developments. It will be interesting to see if the barrage of outlandish statements will escalate or diminish during his brief sojourn in our beautiful but tortured country,

The arrest of Mwenje and Ndolo as well as the declaration from Suswa and Mobassa are very "good news" to Kenyans. The same can be said of those hollow allegations of coup plots. Kenyans know that the regime is scared and running. That is very good news. Both Mwenje and Ndolo are today used by the frightened regime as scapegoats; the regime deludes itself that the threats, force and brutality will scare enough Orange supporters for them to either abandon the winning team or to stay away on voting day. But as with all historical epochs, when a people have uniformly said "NO" to terror, no amount of intimidation, force or threats will ever stop them from throwing off their oppressers. Kenyans have reached that stage in this referendum question and nothing will reverse the tide. Not even the threats of "state of emergency". Not Awori's and Kituyi's attempt at bribing their community with useless ministerial flags (and an elusive hope of ascending to the Big House). My only fear is that, like with Kenyatta and Moi before him, Kibaki may resort to political assassinations. They have done this before - you correctly reminded us of Dr. Odhiambo Mbai. You have previously correctly given a comprehensive coverage of Kibaki's dubious political background. Enough said.

Thanks Oloo for being relentless in tracking the fascist bends the Kibaki regime is taking as they stare at a frightening political rebuke from the Kenyan electorate.

Kibaki's attempt to invent a constitution for Kenya using puppets like Kiraitu, Nyachae, the hired guns as well as young and ambitious sycophants is going to be the flop of the century in Kenyan politics.

I am proud of the nation and our peoples who are getting ready to lay a whipping on the political thugs from State House. It is about time. They are not going to escape and that is why this is going to be a hand to hand combat in every sense all the way to the referendum.

Lets remember that the Kibaki State House is loaded with old hand and experienced experts in repressive tactics. They have Michuki In Charge. His experience goes back to the henious murder and represssion of Mau Mau Freedom Fighters. They have Mzee Karume who schemed with Kenyatta to run Kenya as their duka and of course Nyachae and both of them are boasting that they have been restraining Kibaki from jumping all over Raila to teach him a lesson. Never mind that both actively fought against the Kibaki presidency which they now want to protect from Raila. The silliness is suffocating.

By the way like everybody has noted, I was a little taken aback to see Nyachae almost reduced to a desperate alarm dog outside the gates after the Jamni are long gone. I thought Nyachae was going to unlease a hurricane of mass support in his backyard to show all those plotters that he is in charge and is at one with the Gusii people. How pathetic he had to address tiny crowds in his own constituency before running to Nakuru to help perpetuate falsehoods about coups.

Anyway the thing that bothers me is the viciousness with which the police have jumped on Mwenje and Ndolo and David Ochami before that.

All the crazy signs are there. Why keep people incommunicado? That is hideous. Moving people from police cell to police cell. Another trick to disorient and exhaust the victims while keeping their families and lawyers running around the Police Stations.

Remember whe you are booked at a police cell by undercover/SB/Security Agents etc they are not obliged to enter your name in the Occurence Book(OB) and they don't sign you out. Meaning there is no trace. Your family comes to the same station where you were ten minutes ago and the OCPD will tell them "we have no record of the person you are talking about"

Then taking suspects out of town. All these are aggressive techniques of letting the suspect know that their rights are not important and that they are at the mercy of the police and had better start cooperating to get favours like getting to see their doctor, lawyer or family member.

Kenyans are painfully familiar with all these oppressive tactics of a frightened State. It is even more scary when the State itself and its agents are manufacturing coup plots. Koigi wa Wamwere knows a thing or two about that. Ironically he was always entangled in false accusations of coup plots complete with caches of fire arms with his good friend Mirugi Kariuki, now one of the export coup manufacturers.

My point is that this is not a joking matter. This is not about Mwenje and Ndolo whatever any of us thinks of them and their alleged actions. This is about abuse of state power to achieve political objectives. This is as hideous as the Nyayo Torture chambers and all Kenyans must stand firm and say we will not be intimidated.

I am disappointed that the Kenyan media has not taken up the case of David Ochami and his editor Mr. Omollo as a serious assault on freedom of the press. This is what happened when the likes of Wang'ondu wa Kariuki were hauled into Kamiti as first signs of a panicking Moi regime. Before they knew it countless journalists were joining other Kenyans labelled as Mwakenya.

The time to say NO to a Kibaki repression against the fundamental rights of Kenyans is Now, not after the referendum.

If these Banana fellas have run out of ideas hardly three weeks into th campaign what the heck are they going to do with the rest of 7-8 weeks? Vigilance my friends. There is plenty of work to be done.

‘No’ Group Challenges Govt over Coup Claims

THE Orange team yesterday challenged the Government to investigate allegations by the Vice-President Moody Awori and a number of cabinet ministers to the effect that the group was plotting to topple the government.

Saying the remarks were seditious because a coup plot was an act of treason, the group also called on the Police Commissioner to investigate Special Projects Minister Njenga Karume over remarks that the Draft opposers had hired a currency printing device that would be used to mint out fake currency to voters.

At the same time the group demanded the withdrawal of the Sh100 million allocation for a presidential house which has been factored in this years annual budget under the Ministry of Lands and Housing.

The team termed the allocation as a misplaced priority and vowed to vote against it terming it as one of those dubious issues arising in the budget and other forms of government expenditure.

“We have the responsibility to vet and scrutinise government spending of public funds and we are against this move. The President enjoys a facility with four presidential suites and a number of bedrooms. What business does he have to do with another presidential palace. Parliament should withdraw these allocations and channel them towards hunger stricken Kenyans” said Ruto.

Led by the Kanu Secretary-General William Ruto, the Orange group meeting which was attended by over 60 MPs allied to Kanu and LDP as well as Ford Kenya and Ford People rebel MPs among them Mwandawiro Mghanga, Omingo Magara and Wycliffe Oparanya, the legislators said the remarks by the Vice-President were a threat to national security. The Kanu and LDP group had held two separate strategic meetings in the morning before harmonising their resolutions in the old chamber latter in the day.

“We are calling on the Commissioner of Police to summon them (Moody Awori, Njenga Karume and Simeon Nyachae) to record police statements over their utterances as we expect them to measure up to what they said” said Ruto during a press conference at Parliament buildings.

He added; “The statement by Karume that the team had imported a money printing machine is a case of serious economic crime and the Commissioner of police must move with speed to establish truth of the matter”.

The group accused the Government over the cancellation of their rally permits in Kisii which they said were made to jeopardise the Orange campaign.

They put the Commissioner of Police on the spot over the cancellations adding that there was a plan to demonise their Monday rallies in Mt. Elgon and Kitale saying that the Police Boss should act partially over the rally licensing exercise.

“The Commissioner of Police is not above the law. We wonder why the government was given the upper hand to conduct a rally in Kisii, at the same venue we had booked to hold our campaign the same day” Charged Ruto.

He added that pro-Wako Draft government leaders were now spreading fears over the forthcoming Western Kenya rallies in Bungoma, Gucha, Teso, Busia, Mt. Elgon and Kitale saying that the government would be held responsible should any insecurity arise during the rallies.
