New TV Channel offers 24 hour news broadcastsWritten By:Nicholas Kigondu,Posted: Sat, Nov 24, 2007 Kenyans are set to enjoy 24 hour news broadcasts following the entry of a new TV station into the market. The new K24 TV station that promises to offer 24-hour news bulletin starts its broadcasts on Saturday on channel 29. Speaking during the launch, Information and communication minister Mutahi Kagwe stressed the need to share infrastructure between the country's broadcasting companies. K24, an affiliate of the Regional Reach Media Company will share existing broadcasting infrastructure with the country's leading broadcaster KBC.Kagwe said the new station will help blossom potential media personalities.According to the station's managing director Rose Kimotho, the new station is set to revolutionize the broadcasting industry in the country.
