Even the pro-PNU Newsweek admits Kibaki is Othaya bound.Below is the wooly dispatch from Kenya by Alexandra Polier( en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandra_Polier)www.newsweek.com/id/81555/page/1And by the way, does the quote below sound familiar? And on a deeper level, the popularity of Odinga—who as president could undermine Kibaki's reforms—reflects the immaturity of Kenya's voters, and their preference for tribal politics over quiet competence and a 21st-century state-- Alexandra Polier,NewsweekDec. 31, 2007 - Jan. 7, 2008 issue Updated: 11:14 a.m. ET Dec 22, 2007

Another PANUA hogwash from Newsweek:Should he win, however, Odinga could spell real trouble.............But many economists and business leaders fear that Odinga's main objectives are to increase his own power, wealth and prestige, and that if elected, he'll make no more progress against corruption than did Kibaki (he's surrounded himself with many of the same figures embroiled in past graft scandals).
Perhaps even more worrisome, Odinga, who is a Luo, has based part of his appeal on the resentment shared by Kenya's minority tribes against the dominant Kikuyus.
If elected, Odinga has suggested he'll oust educated Kikuyus from government, decentralize power and build up Kenya's Western province (Luo land) with money from the Central province (Kikuyu country)—steps that could increase the tribal tensions that paralyzed the country in years past.www.newsweek.com/id/81555/page/1

Thanks for the piece. That was a treat. How pitiful these fools are. From some white neo-con with hardly any understanding of Kenya this is normal and should be expected. Apparently she has been in Kenya for vacations with fiance in between things and romours. Wow! That must have given her some real insights into the politics of the country. Anyway she is entitled to her ignorance about Kenya and its politics.
Anyway it is when I hear the same trash from the usual sources of Kenyan hate mongers that it bothers me. This is a good comedy show for laughs.
I am glad they know Kibaki is history. Good for them. At least they accept reality. Boy that piece is hilarious.

You are getting prety desperate and sound of frustration in your posts. Time must be moving too fast for you. The money bag must be drying up real fast. But then again they'll want RAO to be kept on his toes so you will be still in business though the tap's outlet will need some re-plumbing. Best of luck.

No osirisShe should be quiet because she is plain stupid and ignorant. She can't even figure out the age of your beloved Kibaki. That is stuff you can easily google. She is too lazy to do even basic research for the article. That is outright incompetence. Ati Raila will take money from Central Province to Western Province which she calls "Luoland". And then Raila will fire educated Kikuyus and all that crap. But then again her views seem very similar to what you have been peddling yourself. I guess birds of a feather may sometimes need each other. That article is pathetic my friend, your hatred for Raila and the ODM notwithstanding. Everybody is entitled to their ignorance but nobody is entitled to their own facts. adongo

We sure have sheep mentality!
When the Washington Post does an article that is not critical of Raila, it gets little comment apart from the usual suspects praising the journalism there.
Now a respected Journal captures the seriousness of the mistakes Kenyans would make in electing Raila and the sheep all go ballistic.
Is the truth to difficult to handle?

Truth being what? purple suits and yellow hummers, and fake birth dates and speculative economic outcomes? sloppy articles presented as 'journalism' must be condemned
