.....in the meantime, Raila has collected his January salary for the Official Leader of Opposition. The salary was credited to his account.

I have been a keen supporter of finding ways NOT to pay taxes.
The PNU thieves have with wanton abandon, stolen and pilfered our money and used it to pay state sanctioned goons to kill and maim those who dont agree with them.
They thought they could steal our vote and then continue to steal our money too.and live comfortably while sneering at 'those lazy' chaps. Nope!!
These folks worship mamon and one great strategy is to is to deprive them of the means to sponsor mayhem.
Let them pay the MPs. But lets see if they will be able to pay the rest of the civil service - bloated and all.

Whats your source of info Kamalet need not produce a source. Legend has it that when Raila sneezes, certain parts of the nation catch a cold (do you want a source for this one). Therefore if he had rejected the pay, Salim Lone would have conclusively furnished the evidence of such an act to boost the propaganda war. Alas 'propriety and integrity' do not extend to matters of personal emoluments where our MPs are concerned. They will happily draw a fat packet from the exchequer while advocating 'no taxes' or even no rent!
