One of the very reputable polling firms S-USA has the Tx race close!! www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReport.aspx?g=a727cce1-0546-4909-95cf-02f3bc9ab73cDepending on Hispanic Turnout, Clinton is Either Slightly Ahead, or Not so Slightly Ahead, in Texas Democratic Primary: In a Democratic Primary in Texas today, 02/18/08, 15 days to the vote, Hillary Clinton leads Barack Obama 50% to 45%, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted exclusively for KTRK-TV Houston, KTVT-TV Dallas, and KRLD-AM radio Dallas.

Meanwhile todays Gallup - daily tracking poll still still has Obama up by 7 49-42, he is just about to hit the 50% majority mark!! BUT LOOK AT THIS Obama has taken a 50-46 lead among Hispanic voters nationwide, with an almost 20-point turnaround from the previous round of polling. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! www.gallup.com/poll/104428/Obama-Gaining-Among-MiddleAged-Women-Hispanics.aspxBut one of the more substantial shifts has been the changing preferences of middle-aged Democratic voters, who have moved away from Clinton and toward Obama in the past week. Obama has also made gains among three other groups that have favored Clinton throughout much of the campaign -- women, Hispanics, and self-identified Democrats

Very proud of the brother.

I found this very intresting: Ignore the Clinton advisers who argue that Wisconsin was just a bump on the road en route to the tell-all March 4 primaries. Listen instead to the message sent by her ragged coalition: Obama led among whites (widely among white men), moderates and those earning less than $50,000, all bastions of Clinton's past strength. Obama and Clinton split the vote among women, erasing her one-time advantage.
Demographically, Wisconsin was a warm-up for Ohio: nearly 90 percent of Tuesday's voters were white; about 40 percent earn less than $50,000 annually; nearly 60 percent have no college degree; and half are over 50 years old — all demographics that have tended to favor Clinton. In a sign of desperation, the Clinton camp floated the idea of poaching delegates that Obama earned via elections. While allowable under Democratic National Committee rules, the tactic would likely divide Democrats along racial lines and set the party back decades. It would be the ultimate act of selfishness and foolishness. Even Clinton must realize there is little she can do to win the nomination. She can only help Obama lose it. news.yahoo.com/s/ap_campaignplus/on_deadline_wisconsin===================== I thought this only happen in Kenya d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20080219/capt.17fa277db9014fc4a21a425017d0cf0c.obama_2008_txeg105.jpg?x=253&y=345&sig=nRCmM9I5pkU.BbczFJJjkA--A supporter of Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. On Clinton attacking Obama on lack of experience, I found this interesting. This was a comment on a recent story on Reuters.com=================== Note: the following facts were contributed by Mr. Vos, another Obama supporter. Thank you Sir, and "Yes We Can" Senator Clinton, has served only one full term - 6yrs. - and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law, the following twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years: 1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site. 2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month. 3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. 4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall. 5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson. 6. Name post office after Jonn A. O'Shea. 7. Designate Aug. 7, 2003, as National Purple Heart Recognition Day. 8. Support the goals and ideals of National Purple Heart Recognition Day. 9. Honor the life and legacy of Alexander Hamilton on the bicentennial of his death. 10. Congratulate the Syracuse Univ. Orange Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship. 11. Congratulate the Le Moyne College Dolphins Men's Lacrosse Team on winning the championship. 12. Establish the 225th Anniversary of the American Revolution Commemorative Program. 13. Name post office after Sergeant Riayan A. Tejeda. 14. Honor Shirley Chisholm for her service to the nation and express condolences on her death. 15. Honor John J. Downing, Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, firefighters who lost their lives on duty. Only five of Clinton's bills are, more substantive. 16. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11. 17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11 18. Assist landmine victims in other countries. 19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care. 20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Since the list for Mr. Obama's legislative record is extremely substantive, it has been categorized as follows: During the first - 8 - eight years of his elected service Mr. Obama: - sponsored over 820 bills - introduced 233 bills for healthcare reform - introduced 125 for poverty and public assistance - introduced 112 crime fighting bills - introduced 97 economic bills - introduced 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills - introduced 21 ethics reform bills - introduced 15 for gun control - introduced 6 veterans affairs, etc. - During Mr. Obama's first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 which was passed and became law. - The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act which was passed and became law. - The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate. - The 2007 Government Ethics Bill which was passed and became law. - The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, currently in committee, and many more. Summarily, since his entry into the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1,096. Nearly 2,000...wow!!!! Quite a daunting and impressive resume for Mr. Obama, who according to Mrs. Clinton, supposedly lacks her experience to lead our nation. In fact, Mrs. Clinton has yet to publicly reveal her income taxes, had to "shake-up" her campaign staff, and overspent her campaign finances too quickly. Americans deserve the truth, and quite frankly - is this the type of record our country can expect from Mrs. Clinton? - a leader that can't even manage her own campaign staff or finances properly?...From Day One? In this vein, 'Fact' versus 'Reality' is 'Clear', 'Conclusive', and constitutes 'Change' for our Country. If Change is inevitable...then "Yes We Can". Sorry Mrs. Clinton..."No You Can't" www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSN1560427320080220?&sp=&comments=full&view=Preview

And now this from a campaign mate of mine in TX
TORID PACE OF THE OBAMA FUNDRAISING MACHINE
For the past couple days I've been jotting down the numbers on it each evening. Here are the results for the days leading up to Wisconsin:
(taken at about 9pm EST; rounded)
2/13 431,400 2/14 440,500 2/15 446,600 2/16 452,100 2/17 454,400 2/18 458,200 2/19 462,100
So averaging about 5,000 new donors per day - before Wisconsin.
Now here are some results from the past 24hrs:
2/19 10:30pm 462,100 2/20 7:00am 493,000 9:00am 498,100 9:45am 500,700 12:09pm 507,000 1:46pm 512,500 2:34pm 515,400 4:14pm 518,500 4:50pm 522,600
So from the time when it was announced that Obama was the certain winner last night, to now, about 20hrs. later, they have added:
60,000 new donors!
(the rate of growth having increased about 15x!)
Even at an average first contribution of $25, that's still:
$1.5 million - from new donors alone!
And that doesn't even include repeat contributions from the previous 800,000+ donors to date (since the start of the campaign)
The February online intake is going to be absolutely HUGE!
My prediction: $50 million +

I mean proximity to the whitehouse does not engender experience. They need to harp on that. Hopefully he can deliver a few punches in the debate tonight. The peter paul scandal, failure to release tax returns and whitehouse records. These can be killer blows. Perhaps they are waiting for the last stand.

PM,
That might as well be brand new voters in the bank. And if only votes would count, then with 2.2 againts Cliniton's 1.7million or something of the sort.
This superdelegate thing is too scary. Ati it matters not whether obama gets more pledged delegates. Talk of democracy.
The good news is that based on week 1 exit polls alone, obama might do well in TX. But then again, its just too early a stage to start counting our untransported eggs.

Obama's opponents are curiously playing the domo domo line as a propaganda war. In reference to Obama's populist stage-craft, Hillary say what Washington needs is sound solution not sound bites and McCain latest line is that Obama thrives on rhetorics. Barry's political adversaries and critics in the media are determined on turning his unmatched oratory into weakness by projecting him as a leader who is only good at domo domo. No wonder, Economist is mischievously asking us:
