Certainly! How dare me say that, you ask? But wait a minute. I think there is no constitution to 'protect and upheld' in the first place! Where is it, you tell me!
I need not repeat all what he has done so far, but prorogueing the Parliament at such a time? I mean look, for God's sake the nation has hardly settled down after such an event gone by. All the pain and costs endured, and all the uncertainty towards such an overwhelming exercise...don't the people deserve to be told and deliberate what is going on? Should the nation be caused to burst at the simms due to the overbearing psychological and economical pressure? Should the people's representatives simply be commanded to 'go home' and keep away fron discussing anything affecting the nation and of such importance such as the Referendum just concluded? How can that be?
The point is, the President has breached the very same Constitution on a number of occasions! The very same document was breached when he attempted to shove down our thoats his Wako "mongrel"! But did we not just take it hands down and eyes closed? Surely, is he not just playing with our minds? Ain't this exactly what the people had wanted changed in the first place? Does he really think he can get away with anything he chooses to do by selectively applying the very same Constitution he was sworn to protect and uphold persistently and consistently without fail? Would you categorical say that I am wrong in coming to such a conclusion?!!!
I am angry wakenya wenzangu. Extremely angry. Wacha nipoe kidogo.

Are we not having the constitution we deserve?
Seriously, if you asked me, Kibaki is perhaps telling us that these are the powers you would have taken away from me is you had accepted the wako draft - so let me show you how wide they were!!!

Constitution or no Constitution, I cannot imagine in this day and era that an individual can get away with something like this with people's eyes wide open and everyone fully awake! And here we are thinking that we have leaders capable of guiding our great nation.
What Kíbaki has done is certainly hypocritical and betrayal of trust he was given by the people who voted him in 2002. He cannot and should not be allowed to rub salt into the wounds of poor mwananchi for his own selfish agendas. How can a president be allowed to behave in a manner so domineering to the whole nation of 32 million people and simply get away with it, because 'it is his right' to do so? Is it also 'our right' to be treated so?
But my sadness is made even worse when I see that our front liners are nothing but selfish wimps! Some like Balala have already began reminding the President of the need to consult with Orange faction before constituting another Cabinet! OK, some are of the opinion that the Oranginas and Kíbaki have to 'talk'. But I say not through such a suggestion they don't!
Fact is Kíbaki can never and should never be trusted to deliver us from the miseries of this Constitution. Fact is Kíbaki has already demonstrated how 'honest' he is to the nation and how capable he is in 'keeping' his word. Fact is, it is simply foolishness of the highest order to keep on decieving ourselves that his leadership will do what it was originally mandated to do by the people of this great nation given time!
If that be the case then, for how long should we keep on waiting before we start demanding for what is the people's right as expressed in their will? For how long should the people keep on 'pampering' the president, only so that they can get him to 'reward' them with what they have always been desperately deserving as iif this country is his own personal property? What mistake did we do to deserve such a pathetic and draconian treatment as others are confronting the twenty first century in confidence?
I say it is about time that Kenyans should start demanding for what is their right and promptly so! I say it is about time that the public must exert pressure upon ALL OUR POLITICIANS that they should act as realistically and as soberly expected of them! Gone should be the days when all we can do is just sit and watch like spectators as events critically affecting our lives unfold and as dictated to by some selfish cartels for their own selfish and public hurting desires! And if this opportunity which has once again united the nation is allowed to slip once more, then I can tell you people, it will be such a looong time before Kenyans get to know what true democracy, accountability and deserving prosperity really means and our lives will remain only but a dream that will never be realised.
I say say it, and say it loudly that they may hear!

Today I am 'just' a little bit encouraged by what is unfolding. The Oranginas 'seem' to gradually blend in with the people's expectations. But that I must admit I am encouraged only cautiously!
Why?
Becaus we have been betrayed so many times my dear countrymen and women. We have been conned several times my people. Yet in all these times we have failed to ensure that again we shall never be fooled!
OK, we are fighting for the 'right' constitution to help us towards getting better governance, I say that is fine but certainly not enough. We must also couregeously seek and recognise other weaknesses within us, which perhaps and primarily so, form the root cause of our miseries today we are so keen to eliminate.
Weakness: Most of the time our ability to think objectively appears to be compromised bacause we tend to 'attache' our 'loyalty to particular 'figures' simply because they appear to be the only ones who are currently agigatating for the 'desired' political reforms as we percieve them to be. It is true to say that even among the fiercest of critics of our political theatre and theatricians frequently turn silent when it comes to some very obvious 'shortfalls' of character within 'our heroes'. Frequently we tend to shy away from stating the obvious for the fear of experiencing the inevitable dissappointment that process may bring about. We thus choose not to respond logically and appropriately and that is when the harm upon the society is done.
Solution: We must learn to gather the courage of propmtly questioning the 'obvious' when the obvious is seen and detected! We must learn not to fear, or be afraid of confronting our own 'disappointments' if it means not doing so may result in the perpetuation of corrupt tendencies amongst each and everyone of us!
We must learn to become 'heartless' when we can see that there are doubts in what is taking place before us and so demand nothing but logical answers.
We must be able to detach our friendship, kinship or any other relative association which may be a cause to become a compromised critique! Above all, we must learn to call for the truth as the truth appears.
And why do I say all this?
Many things have happened within the last few decades affecting Kenyans as we all know. And during all this time, the people have always been guided and represented by the same type of leaders who have always promised to fight for their rights as the owners of this magnificient nation and country. But it is the very same leaders who eventually ended up becoming the people's enemies given a short time once elected. And I say it is this danger of cause that we must pay utmost attention upon.
I am desperate for time. Later.

The 'Plot' is unfolding very rapidly. Kíbaki has now banned all Orange rallies planned for the coming days around the country. www.eastandard.net/hm_news/news.php?articleid=32851 It is obvious that he is now getting scared of the possible consequencies of the 'Tsunami'. By shutting down the nation from all its possible avenues of discourse upon its affairs, Kíbaki is desperatly trying to prevent the eventual and inevitable demand for his removal and therefore end his legacy so soon as the citizn may wish. But this is not to say that the people will easily be 'cowed' into submission and be willingly ready to forfeite the demand for their natural and exclusive rights. I believe the people will inevitably press own with their demands and that Kíbaki will finally have to sensibly give up and accept the people's verdict. I am beggining to see the situation getting tighter as we go along by the day. As Kíbaki is trying to play hard ball against his opponents, his opponents' resolve gets strengthened. But whilst Kíbaki is seemigly playing bare knuckle survival politics against his opponents as he confronts his threat, he also ought to realise who he is playing those politics against. I think if Kibaki is quick enough to learn the obvious, then he ought to wake up and get real by responding to the people's demand as declared time and again! Avoiding and obstructing the people's resolve through oppressive measures is hardly enough to sustain his position and status for long. Sooner or later the destiny will have to take its cause and Kibaki will ahev to call it quits or burn his fingures! Long live Kenyans!
