Adongo
you are damn right! and thats why in an earlier post elsehwere i surmized that Awori was 'talking tough' in the hope ( and perhaps knowlegde) that the mass action in the streets that can and has brought down GOVTs is unlikely to happen.
So he was basically daring us.
We as a people need to organize at the ground level and think of ways and means of keeping this AF scandal in the front pages and also directly on the streets.
Perhaps when the ban is lifted and public meetings can take place, Kick-back1 will then be forced to react one way or onother unlike now where he has sequestered himself withing the cozy walls of SH
This is the sure way to put him on his way to othaya

miguna, aren't you shocked and surprised about OO's "latest bravado"? Won't you comment anything about it and specifically on Onyango's 'un-understandable' stance? Aren't you even a little bit disturbed? Or is it that you are still not sure about your own thoughts and incredibly dissappointing conclusion? I do know and can imagine how difficult it can be to find yourself in direct, critical and public dissagreement on some very fundamental issues with your long time friend. I count Onyango as my friend just as well although miles apart. But sometimes that is the ultimate test towards holding yourself accountable to your true and upright conscience and so for those whom you claim to fight for! Abdulmote: You had earlier remarked that Oloo's drink may have been spiked in Mali. But now I seriously doubt if yours was left undisturbed. I was the second person to post on this topic, after the light-fingered Sadik. I can also count 4 responses in total on this thread alone that bear my byline. The one I'm typing now makes that 5. It is therefore impossible to understand your challenge quoted above. I have no further comments on this topic. As another Kenyan netter asserted elsewhere [and I paraphrase because I am a tea totaller], one has to give others a chance to "sip from the same pot of poridge." Thanks. [unedited] -Miguna- PS: I thank politicalmaniac for the kind words, even though, as Oloo incorrectly insinuated, "no one was/is looking for grades." MM

I may be misunderstanding OO (unlikely, but always possible)... yet I think that Mosaisi (in the Nation Forum) has quite ably expressed some of the worries and concerns which are not only OO's personal whimsy, but which each of us here should share:
We said the Nyayo Era was corrupt and so we should terminate it. We did. But then, we left the Kamanis intact. The Dr. Ketterings were also left to seek new puppets. Today we have the biggest puppet show in Kenya's history. But we are not after the masters who pull the strings. We just want the puppets out. Replacing them, we suggest the former puppets. We are chasing the wind.
Hopefully not. Hopefully, the mull-mouthed announcement of the NGO coalition in today's Kenya Times will be followed by acts and deeds: "Seventy- four civil societies yesterday told Kenyans to brace for mass action starting tomorrow to force President Mwai Kibaki to take action against those incriminated in the Anglo-Leasing and Goldernberg financial scandals. "
