Well...have some MP´s not been caught in Koinange street doing their thing. Have some not been found in teh middle of the night exchanging "documets" with the man of God Father Wamagunda? I dont think that the "mamba eater" will be walk in shame. These guys are beyond shame.

When the article mentioned the “flamboyant lawmaker” it was an easy give-away for the “mamba eater.” However, when the article says that the MP had been a lawmaker for a while, I tend to think it could be someone else. I don’t think the “mamba eater” has been MP for a while. We’ll see.

Oh dear. These fellas do this everyday. I am surprised they have not asked that rooms be provided in parliament buildings for this kind of business. But with the new offices being built for them, they may not need any more rooms.
But this is the message we should learn from this. Those who wanted a good constitution adopted the wrong strategy. Instead of sending armies of technical staff to bombard the wajumbe with legal arguments, policy position papers and all manner of literature which bored them to death and they probably slept through it all, we should have simply got the wajumbes the folks they want to be intimate with to invade Naivasha and make deals with them.
We would agree with the partners for the wajumbe that they will tell the waheshimiwas as soon as they get ready that they will not get anything unless they agree to full devolution and put that in writing. Agree to protect human rights and put that in writing. And so on and so forth. The only thing that would be required by the wajumbe is pen and paper and they would need that real fast. We would be having our new very good constitution right now and there is a high chance the wajumbe would not be sleeping through these very important matters of building the nation. May be next time.

Mamba eater and his queen are two consenting adults and whatever they do with their lives is strictly their business. Adultery is not a crime and shame on Standard for reporting this.

I found Standard's style ridiculous. If they are too timid to tell us who they are talking about, why bring it up at all? What? Just an issue of a man with his mistress? How extra ordinary is that?

Makes you wonder why they printed the story at all. Ni hype tupu na circulation. I stopped reading the electronic versions of these papers eons ago, and only clink on links posted here. I know I am missing a lot of stuff but Jukwaa Daily keeps me posted on the IMPORTANT stuff. The Kenyan papers of full of PNU slanted political gossip, just above Zero meaningful original reporting and less than negative analysis, full of empty hype, and to say the truth the style of writing - writing standards per se, is very shoddy, for the most part.

Young & Flamboyant lawmaker could have referred to either Danson Mungatana or Ababu Tawfiq Namwamba, so in order to make the distinction clearer the journalist had to bring the time factor. This is Ababu's 1st term & Mungatana's 2nd term, so, your guess is as good as mine. I find it remarkably dumb that the said MP would pull such a stunt at the same venue where the PSC deliberations were taking place.
The article was unfortunately written in the style of a gossip rag. This nonsense started with the Friday magazine, the so called pulse. I am not privy to the sales figures from the East African Standard, but it seems like it was successful to the extent that Nation also followed suite with their Friday magazine. If this is going to be the trend then the Kenyan mainstream media will be my tertiary news source.
Finally, I think it is hypocritical to expect the MPs to be angels. These things happen on a daily basis in our society, considering that the typical MP has worse morals than the average Kenyan isn't it stretching it a little too much to expect the MPs to be the kings & queens of virtue?

Luol Deng, thanks bro for pointing this fact to them. it is painful when one buys these rags only to find nothing intellectually stimulating. what the heck did they intend us to gain with such info? I join you in the resolve;"Kenyan mainstream media will be my tertiary news source"- someone should create an alternative.

It is better to be informed and know the kind of people we are dealing with, I take no issue with the media at all and i encourage them to keep the fire burning. We must deal with people who are ready to lead this country to some height not sexmongers and the ilk. It is a big shame for a person of that calibre to just go out shamelessly and deep the dick in any other hole it finds around. I thought there was this campaign to erradcate HIV/AIDS by people getting to know their status and the MPS were in the fore front we want sane leaders that is all.
