Why a man who considers himself a thinker, or blessed with a mind higher than the Kenyan rabble, would support either Raila or Uhuru is a mystery to me. Then again most things Kenyan are.
So Oloo loves Raila, and Maina sings for Uhuru, great.

Emmo:
I have noticed this penchant for one or two people dragging my name into threads where I do not belong.
Soon, I will take some action.

Emmo, just so that you know, this ain't got nothing to do with Uhuru or Raila!! You need to keep your mighty emotions aside! It's about politics, and quite frankly, I will never boost Raila Odinga because he does not stand for anything! Actually, he emblematically a Marxist! Yeah, those folks who do notstand for anything but their dreams!
As for Oloo, you and I (including everyone else in world) know that he plays relevance and then uncontrollably "pleads the fifth amendment" when issues get hot, particularly when you attack his marxist worldview! Halafu this Luo business of yawping when things get "out of hand" has to stop. One cannot compare Raila to Uhuru. Besides, where do you begin to attack Uhuru besides the fact that he and Raila are riding on their fathers' distinctions? And anyways, isn't Raila corrupt? Didn't he go around bribing voters in his own Luo Nyanza? Man!

Oloo, how have I dragged your name into anything? I have neither insulted you, nor even challenged you. Are you threatening me? So you are going to remove me from your forums because I have expressed surprise that you should be supporting Raila? So much for freedom of speech, so much for your 'socialism'. Now, emmo will put you on notice. Don't threaten me again. ever.

You chaps ae too preposterous. Uhuru leaving does not kill ODM. It only means that Central kenya has very few in people in ODM.
Who else left with Uhuru ? Kanu is still part of ODM, and we know that Uhuru commands no following, not even in Kanu.
Other than that ODM is intact.

Maina,
Just like you, iam all for Uhuru and would wish to see him become our next prezzo even though things look tough bana. I agree with Museveni that Uhuru leaving ODM only eliminates the central kenya faction of ODM from the picture. This will do nohting to weaken ODM and infact a chanse for ODM to proceed better is more visible now than before. Just anticipating, i think Ngilu and Kombo will ditch Kibaki for better deals with ODM. They are yarpping aganist Narc-kenya and the fight is getting tighter by the day. All in all, i wish Uhuru luck becoz he needs alot at the moment. Rember, this time he wont have Ruto and Co. behind him like in the previous election. Moi is just wasting the Uhuru for nothing.

Mossad. Mossad, Forget the ODM for now! Like I said earlier, the ODM cannot and will not be able to handle Uhuru on election day next year - fact!!!!!! Seriously, OMD only = Luo Nyanza, so why worry about them when they have not even been "tested"? Ati ODM??? Those are what I call extraneous arguments you and I should not bother about saa hii! Besides, Uhuru has 4 provinces saa hii! And in any case, please do not employ emotions to politics. Leave that to Raila and his amigo Anyang Nyong'o, et al. And speaking of this good guy Nyong'o, have you read his mitigation on Monday's Standard (commentaries section)? Wow, how bemusingly inglorious a brain can become! You see Michael J. Fox reckons that "One's dignity may be assaulted, vandalized and cruelly mocked, but cannot be taken away unless it is surrendered." Quite frankly, that is what Nyong'o is excellently doing in his intellectualistic gloss - surrendering his dignity. But check this out; Donald Rumsfeld (in one off his thinking moments) said this, "If you are not criticized, you may not be doing much." so hey, let them castigate Uhuru - it is working! Lastly, politics is not about pluralism like the ODM (and its enthusiasts) believe. Nah, it's about solidarity, and Uhuru's got it; no one else! I'll give the ODm three months, and then you'll see real politics, not emotions. By the way, Kenyans love politics and are not know to vote based on emotions. Just watch! Maina -unedited-

Frankly I do not know why people are panicking. I wonder why Moi has to suddenly come out of 'retirement' to chaperone Uhuru Kenyatta and kanu. I wonder if Kanu will ever come out of Moi's shadow. Doesn't Kanu after all have its wenyewe?
In fact the problem is not Raila - for Raila's record speaks out for itself; he has been debated senseless on these and other pages. Wycliffe Muga - who writes for the Nation - for example, wrongly thinks that presidency can be the only trophy in politics: I think that, like Edgar Hoover, making presidents is a much more higher achievement than being president.
As I said before 1997 to 2007 is the Raila decade; he has dictated the pace and direction of Kenya's politics.
The problem today is a different kind; it is the sheer power of William Samoei Ruto. He of the (in)famous Eldama Ravine declaration. You only need to take a few days talking to the ordinary Mwananchi in the Rift Valley to understand what I mean. It is this Ruto that has Moi and his puppet Uhuru running helter skelter.... for whence shall Uhuru's votes come from in the wake of Ruto's rising popularity?
I cannot make predictions for 2012 like Kamale: that after a second Kibaki presidency in 2007 there will be an Uhuru presidency because politics does not lend easily to long term predictions, i am not Nostradamus and because predicting two Kikuyu successive Kikuyu presidencies spanning 15 years is almost delusional.
Maina - empty propaganda never won Uhuru the presidency in 2002. Money never won him that seat. Moi couldn't do it for him and nothing has changed that. Attacking Raila will not cure his shortcomings as a leader. In fact, so long as championing Uhuru means attacking Raila; it will get you and Uhuru nowhere now.

LIKE BRUTUS THIS IS WHAT RUTO IS TELLING HIS PEOPLE. YAANI MOI IS FINISHED AND SHOULD NOT BE LET TO COW ANYBODY
"Romans, countrymen, and lovers! Hear me for my cause, and be silent, that you may hear. Believe me for mine honor, and have respect to mine honor, that you may believe. Censure me in your wisdom, and awake your senses, that you may the better judge. If there be any in this assembly, any dear friend of Caesar's, to him I say that Brutus' love to Caesar was no less than his. If then that friend demand why Brutus rose against Caesar, this is my answer: Not that I loved Caesar less, but that I loved Rome more. Had you rather Caesar were living and die all slaves, than that Caesar were dead to live all freemen? As Caesar loved me, I weep for him; as he was fortunate, I rejoice at it; as he was valiant, I honor him; but as he was ambitious, I slew him. There is tears for his love, joy for his fortune, honor for his valor, and death for his ambition. Who is here so base that would be a bondman? If any, speak, for him have I offended. Who is here so rude that would not be a Roman? If any, speak, for him have I offended. Who is here so vile that will not love his country? If any, speak, for him have I offended. I pause for a reply". From the play Julius ceaser
