OO,
You have touched on a very sad reality and the irony of its location. As I was reading the contents, I could not help but wonder how a woman intent on participating in the forum and reading the same would be feeling.
However, your thoughts do highlight the seriousness and the desperate need for the specific attention by all. And having said that, the issues addressed therein clearly point out to the complexity of providing desirable solution to the problem. In my opinon, it is pretty obvious that such gender descriminations and abuses reflect deep on our own human cultural and traditional distastefull upbringing, which nevertheless have been deeply established and unfortunately entrenched in our psyche, and not just as men, but sadly as women as well.
Such an observation tells me that this is certainly a problem that needs to be addressed much more deeply and broadly, than by any single NGO could handle! There needs to be a more vigorous and persistent mass educational campaign, by using all the resources available that any significant if any progress may be acheived. This is indeed one of 'our' prominent and critical problem that we have to address. And I just hope and pray that those who can shall spare no effort towards making this world a better place for all to live in. Amen!

Whew. Contains - among some more decent stuff - the most startling display of utter, shameful ignorance I have ever seen ooze from OO's keyboard.
Thoroughly disconcerting. I only can wonder in which hole in ground / aardvark burrow the writer was hiding during the entire debate on the Sexual Offences Bill. Must have been better isolated than a space craft.
