Last night an incident involving the speeding car of the world bank country director was reported by a section of the media as World Bank boss comes face to face with corruption. Nothing could have been further from the truth!
When I saw the item on TV last night, I sat in shock at the patronising attitude by Collin on the police including claims of rudeness against him!! The media watched in glee as the man went over himself over how corrupt police are etc. No doubt Kenyans know about the corruption of the police, but on this one instance, the police did the right thing. They demanded a cash bail for the driver failing which they would have locked up the driver for speeding. According to Collin, this was extortion and he even claimed he decided not to invoke his diplomatic immunity but make a statement on behalf of Kenyans!! Can you imagine the cheek?? He was not the driver and the police were not interested in him so he could have taken his diplomatic immunity and shoved it!!
But I was a happy man still at the scenes I saw. As Collin went on moaning about corruption, the police totally ignoring him went on with their work, and it was not until he incited other drivers in the view of the media and the KACC people that the police were forced to release the keys to the car so they could proceed to KACC.
On this one incident, I say SHAME ON YOU COLLIN BRUCE and your media lackeys!!!
Every cloud has a silver lining though, and today I am very proud of our commissioner of police for telling off the FOOL Bruce and also saying that they will still arrest his driver and charge him! I had kudos for the 5 traffic policemen for standing up to what is right, and the commissioner of police has given equal praise to the officers involved.
ONCE AGAIN SHAME ON YOU COLLIN!!!!!
