KENYANS IN CANADA ORGANIZING COMMITTEE (Organizing Committee) cordially invites you to an evening of political engagement and discourse with one of Kenya’s foremost political leaders, Raila Amolo Odinga, on Saturday October 28th, 2008, starting at 6 pm sharp.
The central question Raila will address: Raila Odinga’s vision on how to arrest and address the downward political and economic spiral (and decay) that has engulfed Kenya for the past 20 years.
Sharpen your minds, pens and vocal cords - The Agwambo is coming!
The Toronto stop will be part of an international whirlwind tour to engage closely with Kenyans abroad, scholars and friends of Kenya and to reflect deeply on both what ails our dear motherland and the most pragmatic and effective means of addressing our national problems collectively as one country and people.
Come, meet and interact with Kenya’s enigmatic political genius of all times.
Organizing Committee members are: Waikwa Wanyoike, Leonard Wandili, Wambui Gaitho, Sam Kutondo, Ben Ondoro and Miguna Miguna.
Media contact: Miguna Miguna (416) 512-7999.

“…when we all allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all God’s children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:
Free at last! Free at last!
Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!”
[Martin Luther King, Jr., “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered on 28 August 1963, at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C.]
