We need this debate instead of the guerilla war fare going on and resolve the issue once and for all. The tough questions to be ansered by the two 1) KM - why are you always diametrically opposed to R's positions? Why are you now for corporate membership? what the advantages over individual membership? Why not both? Why both? Do you apreciate the risk of a corporate membership in view of the KANU and Moi issue? 2) Why do you want the ODM nominee declared now, 16 months before the election? Why are polls by steadman the gold standard for your "Nomination" as ODM pall bearer? Is ODM's house in order to allow the nomination to occur smoothly? Do you expect R to vigorously campaign for you if you are "nominated" rather than elected?
R 1) Why are you for individual membership and not corporate? isnt there any strength accrued from corporate membership? 2) Why not get over the nomination issue now, and get on with formulation of policy and strengthening the party structure? Why post pone a seeming problem?

Well, theres a problem with trusting KM too much as he might be another Kibaki in waiting. He's quite an interesting fellow who seem to be the only one fighting Raila to be a dominant factor in ODM. For once, i feel that Raila has done a lot for the cpountry in terms of fighting plitical freedom and one mans' party rule. All along, KM supported Moi and his cronies and might at one time attacked the freedom fighters, Kenyans in this case must learn to reward the pple who have worked for somthing, by electing KM for president come the next election, then we are allowing ouerselves to be duped once more just like in the previous election. I wish theres something we can do to make KM a non-factor in the coming elections.

I can tell you the base is worried! I talk to a wide array of folks and they are truly perplexed by this internecine war reminiscent of the Matiba fallout in the original FORD! Its deja vu all over again. KM is seems to be laying down ground work for his exit. Its all Ok b/cos the moment he quits that end his qyuest for presidency in this election cycle and significant position of power and influence. What KM seems to be saying is anybody but R! You dont know what you have untill you miss it. If I am R and I am tired of his antics, I will just say OK bana akuba, take the nomination. Then R would gradually dissapear from view and lets see how this guy and his tantrums will fare against the incumbent and his GOVT backed machinery. Popular indeed!
