At the tail end of its broadcast, Citizen News reported unconfirmed reports that 2 AFC Leopards fans were killed in Nairobi Today.
Meanwhile, Twitter abuzz with unconfirmed reports of 1 AFC Leopards fan killed today after being attacked by a mob in Nairobi.
I guess more reports will follow....

Attending any Gor Mahia matches is a ticket to the unknown world. I wonder why Kenyans still bother to attend matches involving Gor. It is sickening.

Guys please read this statement that warns of plans by a section of politicians to infiltrate the peaceful soccer fans of Kogalo and Ingwe to provoke violence tomorrow. It has happened before and we wont let it happen again. Hon Bonny Khalwale and Hon Gideon Mbuvi Sonko have been put on notice. They buy alcohol and drugs while dishing out money to their gangs from Sinai and Mukuru Kwa Reuben slums of Nairobi to come and unleash violence at the stadium. They did it the last time at Nyayo Stadium so as to embarass the Prime Minister. This time we are warning them it simply will not work Statement by Raila Secretariat on TNA’s Sinister Violent Schemes

Phil you should be ashamed posting such nonsense here! When LUO hooligans fight after Gor lost to AFC and then ODM claims are that TNA are responsible for the violence, one cannot imagine how hollow some heads can be!! Even worse the suggestion that the intention is to embarrass the PM cannot even hold........it just makes the PM look bad!

It cannot be juvenile nor nonsense when we know people have lost their lives during politically instigated comfrontations between rival fans. I am not a Gor Mahia supporter but I do appreciate the passion of their fans. Gor is a team that has supporters spread not just in Kenya but all over Africa where it is a household name in soccer circles. Bonny Khalwale (yes the one who has finally been shut-up by the ODM win in Bukura Ward in Kakamega COunty) and MP Gideon Mbuvi Sonko hired some youth to heckle the prime minister at Nyayo Stadium and those youth went ahead to provoke Gor supporters after the match. Obviously violence followed thereafter, and businesses around the stadium plus innocent motorists were greatly affected by the mayhem. You hardly understand football so perhaps this is why you call it juvenile nonsense! Gor and AFC fans themselves earlier today arranged a peace match and enjoyed lunch together at Kosewes. They appreciate soccer more than you do.

So for us that watched the mayhem at Nyayo caused by Gor fans, you want us to believe that it was because the PM was heckled? I think you know very well the reasons for the violence on the pitch that led even Supersport to suspend showing Gor games. Gor fans have never beaten anyone or thrown a stone if they won a game. Hooligans supporting the clubs are the ones that spoil Gor's name whenever Gor loses a game especially against AFC.

So ODM has absolutely zero responsibility in soccer hooliganism unlike the rest? It would be nice to know when Gor will reject being sponsored by TNA tainted Tuzo $$$$

Maybe TNA and the many people mentioned here were all responsible. Hooliganism in soccer is there to stay, and it may not be there tomorrow but the real passionate fans of soccer will definitely be ready to die for their team. Anybody who is a fan of soccer knows this.

After seeing the strange statement, a friend of mine was quick to note that he cannot understand the concerns of the Raila secretariat considering that most of the TNA supporters will be at Nyayo Stadium watching the Safari Sevens......so any violence by Gor fans will be in house! ;D

A good call by Barrack Muluka and both sets of fans.
Political wars belong to the ballot box. Football matches are settled on the field.
Bonny Khalwale and Mike Sonko (and their drunk sikuti troops) are nowhere to be seen at Kasarani and everything is going on smoothly. Incidentally at slightly over half time Gor are leading AFC 2:0.
Ati TNA supporters are headed to Nyayo Stadium for Safari 7s. How mistaken some people are! Let's enjoy the games.

Nyaminwa Nereah,
That video reminds me of my village forays ;D.
It is usually one of my best tours. Yaani from Nairobi to Masai land right after a slow start off Kikuyu country from the the City then to Kipsigis then Abagusii before I start smelling some fresh fish delicacy at dalawa which is located a few meters at the mouth of the lake.
That road to Kisii needs to be expanded. It is dangerously narrow. Diama Connections and Nyamira buses enrout to Kendu Bay via Katito cannot pass by each other without either having to ride off the tarmac.
It looks like this road has been forgotten yet it is a vital route linking western Kenya to Narok via Kisii.
Meanwhile Coach Lu-Gor-usic has done us proud. That was a derby like no other.

The lose has cost AFC Coach his job. KOOPS STILL IN CHARGEDutch tactician Jan Koops has not been replaced as head coach. AFC Leopards chairman Alex Magelo faulted media reports alluding to the contrary, confirming that no changes have been effected on the technical bench. He however said that the Executive Committee is concerned with the poor run of the team and is working round the clock to rectify the situation. “We are seriously addressing the issues bedevilling the team and we will soon rediscover our winning ways,” he reassured. Magelo urged the club supporters to be calm and rally behind the team as always for better tidings. He revealed that a motivational trainer is being roped in to enrich the players’ mental strength before the next match. Magelo thanked the loyal fans for attending the weekend derby in big numbers and more so for maintaining peace despite the loss. “I urge our fans to turn up in large numbers during our next fixture on Monday at Nyayo Stadium against Muhoroni Youth,” he said. AFC is placed third on the log with 45 points, three behind current leaders Tusker FC. Traditional bitter arch- rivals Gormahia FC is placed second with 46 points...www.afcleopards.net
