Balala was first to bolt… and was swiftly replaced by Mwakwere. Any guesses on who will replace Kalonzo? What a treacherous fellow this Kalonzo. He actually had to wait until Ruto was at his weakest i.e. fired from his ministerial post and on a flight to the Hague. Left in the dominion of doom are Uhuru, Ruto, Eugene, Mwakwere, Dualle and Magara. Who's next to scatter? Jisomee. www.nairobistar.com/national/national/38009-g7-non-existent-says-kalonzoVICE President Kalonzo Musyoka has now dismissed the G-7 alliance as non-existent, even as Eldoret North MP William Ruto insisted the group would form the next government. Kalonzo, who is associated with the group that brings together Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta, Eldoret North MP William Ruto and Saboti MP Eugene Wamalwa said he was against the idea of individuals coming together on tribal lines. “There is nothing like G-7 alliance. I prefer parties uniting for a common cause and not individuals coming together because that will tribalise the country,” said Kalonzo when asked whether he will go it alone on his ODM-K or hoped the G-7 alliance would settle on him. Ruto plans to contest the presidency under UDM and is engaged in a legal tussle with retired Gen John Koech for the control of the party. Kalonzo is the party leader of ODM-K. Uhuru is chairman of Kanu while Eugene is leader of New Ford Kenya. Kalonzo said that unity of political parties was a viable avenue as seen through the coalition government which he said had performed well. The G7 alliance members want one of their own to succeed President Kibaki in 2012. Ruto has for a year been suspended from the Cabinet but on Wednesday he was dropped altogether. Ruto has repeatedly said the G7 alliance would support one of its members to face Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the race for State House. Speaking in Mathira yesterday, Ruto expressed confidence the G7 Alliance will form the next government after the 2012 general election. He was at Tumutumu PCEA fundraising accompanied by Energy Minister Kiraitu Murungi, Igembe North MP Ntoitha M’Mithiaru and area MP Ephraim Maina. Ruto said he had joined hands with Kalonzo, Internal Security minister George Saitoti, Eugene Wamalwa and Uhuru Kenyatta to deny Raila Odinga a chance to become president. “The G7 Alliance is ready to form the next government. This formula is unbeatable. The group will take this country very far. It will transform this country,” said Ruto. The G7 administration would perform in service delivery and not be a government of rhetoric and scapegoats, Ruto said. Kalonzo spoke during his tour of Western region. He was at the Church of God retreat in Kima, Vihiga County at the weekend. He had earlier closed a week-long conference for women from East Africa at Boyani African Divine Church (ADC) headquarters in Vihiga. Kalonzo's comments could be a pointer that he has finally broken ranks with his G7 partners and decided to go it along next year. Kalonzo declared the 2012 presidential race would most likely pit him against Raila and said he is confident he will win. “I plunged into the presidential race in 2007 and lost to President Kibaki. I am seeing a possible repeat of the 2007 scenario between Tinga (Raila) and I and I am asking the church to pray for us so that there are peaceful elections,” the VP said. “We were together in 2005 when we defeated the proposed constitution and formed ODM. We parted ways and were on the opposing sides in 2007 elections that led to bloodshed and we don’t want a repeat of the same next year,” said Kalonzo. Kalonzo's remarks came barely two days after Raila declared in Busia County that none of the G-7 alliance partners could beat him in 2012. Kenya needs to elect a God-fearing president, Kalonzo told the two congregations, adding, “You can count a friend in me and you will not regret.” Speaking in Kitale at the weekend, five ODM leaders unleashed a tirade on G7, especially targeting Eugene. The ODM members dismissed G7 as a movement that has no agenda but to block Raila from taking over the presidency. Deputy Prime Minister Musalia Mudavadi and MPs Sospeter Ojaamong, Rachel Shebesh, Ababu Namwamba and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru asked Kenyans to vote for Raila. They said the G7 has no manifesto and its members been insulting Raila without genuine reasons. Mudavadi said, ”At first our brother Eugene was told he would be endorsed as the flag bearer of the Alliance, but now they have decided that they will go for nominations, really, if nominations are done today, can Eugene succeed?" Ababu asked the ODM rebels to explain what wrong Raila has done for them to crisscross the country pointing an accusing finger at him. “You (Joshua) Kuttuny today you are here, let me ask you what Raila Odinga has done," said Namwamba after Bishop Wanjiru snatched the microphone from the Cherangany MP when adversely mentioned Raila. “The only hero who can transform this country is Raila Odinga,” added Namwamba. Nominated MP Rachel Shebesh asked youthful politicians to practise respectful politics. Ojaamong said, “Most of the members of the G7 are among the YK92 who played a big role in killing the economy of this country. Some of them were my classmates and they are billionaires today when we are not, they must tell Kenyans where they got their wealth.” Wanjiru said MPs who were elected through ODM ticket in 2007 and now they are against Raila are hypocrites who Kenyans should not believe. The ODM leaders were addressing hundreds of their supporters at Kitale’s Kenyatta Stadium and in Cherangany where Raila was the guest on the first anniversary of the new constitution.

Here's some news. Kalonzo is misguidedly working from the assumption that the Hague (ICC) cases will politically cripple both Uhuru and Ruto - making him pass katikati to face Raila. However, nowhere in the constitution is a candidate barred (from contesting the Presidency) while under trial. Thus, it's easy to predict a G-7 nomination that will have all these declared aspirants possibly contesting. From the pack, if indeed a joint-nomination is held, Uhuru would easily beat the rest of his G-7 peers. Mark these words, that's when the real campaigns for the 2012 elections will start. As of now, its still too early.

I love the way judas Km is framing the race. Its between him and 'Tinga' the rest ni ghasia, taka taka.
When the ex PNU whip was in DC, he told us that the Rt Hon Prime Minister is like an elephant, very difficult to bring down, and that it will take a gang to bring him down. If its a one on one hakuna mtu who can beat him.
The prophecy is coming true

I was listening to Kenya radio today and heard Kajudas announce that he will change the name of his party ODM-K before the end of this year for its being confused with the original ODM.
This comes shortly after he changed his party’s symbol some months ago. Kajudas believes, just as he did in 2007, that he is the man to beat come 2012. He sees a two horse race between himself and Tinga. I might not have believed him if the Hague individuals were out of the race. But the Hague individuals seem to be planning to climb into the presidential seat by all means necessary.
Those laughing at the KKK/G7 axis should stop doing so because The Hague could easily unite them into a single front. If the charges are confirmed against Uhuru and Ruto then Kenya is in trouble because they will go for the presidency with everything they have at their disposal. For the presidential seat might serve as a shield ala Bashir, even if temporary.
So Kajudas should prepare himself to fight it out with more than only Tinga. He must also forget about this idea of harvesting where Uhuruto sowed for that will not happen. But it seems to me that Kajudas has finally seen that the Uhuruto axis do not want him near them at all. His kati kati stuff can only take him so far.
Just as “Ralph my son” I wish him luck in his prezo ambitions.

Job,
This matter need to be cleared up-at least the legal minds in here -as to whether Uhuru and Ruto would still be eligible to contest Presidency EVEN IF the Ocampo charges are confirmed. There may seem to be no express provision barring them from contesting, but what about the Integrity and Ethics clauses?
I think the jury is not yet out on this one, and it will be fought all the way to the Supreme Court, if need be.

Job, This matter need to be cleared up-at least the legal minds in here -as to whether Uhuru and Ruto would still be eligible to contest Presidency EVEN IF the Ocampo charges are confirmed. There may seem to be no express provision barring them from contesting, but what about the Integrity and Ethics clauses? I think the jury is not yet out on this one, and it will be fought all the way to the Supreme Court, if need be. mongobeti, You are damn right. The intergrity and ethics clauses will be in play in determining eligibility of candidates not just for the presidency but for other elective offices. People facing criminal charges will have to be cleared. Now if you are facing charges of committing crimes against humanity which involves mass murders and rape of Kenyans in the last general election that is a very big deal. Interestingly it is the yet to be formed Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission that will make that determination. It is also very possible that those not satisfied with the decision of the EACC from either side could go to the Supreme Court. So expect some drama. The one important element is that the Ocampo six are charged under international laws. Our new constitution indicates that international laws that have been ratified by Kenya have the same effect as Kenyan laws. So we will have to figure out what we would do with people charged with mass murder of Kenyans if they were so charged in our country. Would we for example allow a unconvicted serial or a unconvicted mass rapist to stand for the presidency of our country? How about that guy who was killing girls for some bizzare "voodo" business. Is he fit to contest for any office in Kenya? The other element of this Uhuru immediately loses his job once the charges are confirmed. Same way Ruto had to be suspended when he faced a the land case. Once the charges are confirmed it has the same weight as facing a murder trial in Kenya if not worse. He will have to go and become a regular M.P. Same with Muthaura. Of course they are going to go scratching and wailing as usual. The bigger picture is the whole logic of a person facing a possible lifetime in jail trying to be the chief executive of our country. Such a person must have very little regard for the country or is just supremely selfish. Either way it is a very bad spot to be when you want to be the president of our country. Even the people who fund these things need some assurances that they are not throwing money in a deep hole. We will see. But as job said, having those two chokoras in the race might be a good thing. We are ready like yesterday. In the meantime the drama of UDM continues. It buffles me why Ruto cannot just form a party of his choice and invite his friends. What is the obsession with UDM. In Kenya today you can form a party in minutes and have it registered. What is the big deal or is it because Ruto is scared that he has never run a political party all his life: Here we go: www.nairobistar.com/national/national/38305-kaparo-entry-splits-udmAnd here is Kibaki kicking the Gang of 7 in the teeth by refusing to give Wetangula's job to Wamalwa. Wetangula has not only not been cleared, he is not in the G7 comic book. In fact he may very well be moving towards Mudavadi. www.nairobistar.com/national/national/38177-kibaki-ignored-advice-on-wetangula

The meeting held by the G7, UDM, UDF, KKK, PNU, TAI, etc, to supposedly "energize" their campaign was nothing but a crisis panel meeting called to put Musyoka on blast for claiming that the G7 does not exist and that 2012 is about him and Raila.
When Musyoka made this statement he also talked about the race between himself and Raila in 2012, asking for prayers for him and his "brother" Raila, and called for the unity of parties... G7 is not a party....
Look at clown Uhuru skipping an important function at state house where the AG, Githu Muigai was being sworn in in order to attend a clowns troupe meeting to "plan for 2012"? ....Really...? Clowns in the center ring indeed...
Musyoka has read the positioning of the stars well and realized that this G7 thing that has not formal structure or plan will not roll off the assembly line any time soon...

Musyoka has read the positioning of the stars well and realized that this G7 thing that has not formal structure or plan will not roll off the assembly line any time soon... Musyoka has realized that Uhuru's presidential run is real and his coercion into a joint nomination is akin to walking himself into the kichinjio. There is no way he'll beat Uhuru in a joint PNU primary. In case he accedes to this - it wont be a prayer for him versus Raila; but actually one betwen Raila and Uhuru. It took Kalonzo a bit too long to realize Uhuru had superb political advisors, who asked the latter to start marketing himself early - and make his presumed presidential run sound real and look viable. I use the word early in the context of ICC court's timetable. Uhuru was asked to hit the ground running, long before gruesome case details start pouring out from ICC court chambers. He has succeeded in selling himself within GEMA as a hero - who is only being victimized for defending his people. He has become their de facto 2012 horse for the presidential run. With that GEMA political capital, Uhuru has no option but run for President. He can't waste a golden opportunity after being handed that modest following. It has finally downed on Musyoka that, he's facing the same scenario he went through with Raila in the original ODM. There will be no competitor tosharing nobody. Just like Musyoka bolted out of Raila's faction of ODM, he will similarly bolt out yet again - because he too faces political redundancy (or irrelevance) in Ukambani were he not enter the presidential contest. Since he knows Uhuru will beat him in a joint PNU nomination, Kalonzo has started bolting out pole pole...and being the devious and wily schemer, he picked his timing well - he just made the first move right when 'brother' Uhuru is facing the misfortune of an imminent confirmation hearing. It's called timing! Musyoka hopes to cash in on the negative PR that Uhuru will come out of the confirmation hearing with. Take this to the bank - the only prayer Kalonzo is fasting hard about is that Ocampo dirties then nails Uhuru. He hopes to cash in by that default. Today's grapevine says, prompted by Mutula Kilonzo, Musyoka preyed on Uhuru's (ICC) vulnerability and sounded that deliberate alarm bell in Vihiga. Mutula and Kalonzo were seeking an MoU with Uhuru, right when they thought Uhuru would be negotiating from a position of disadvantage. I leave Ruto out of this because he is a mere escort (to be dealt with later) in PNU's grand schemes. Well, as predicted, Uhuru was alarmed at Musyoka's Vihiga pronouncements, and agreed to this MoU whose details have not filtered into grapevine. Kalonzo thinks he has negotiated from a position of advantage - while assuming Uhuru was in a poor negotiating position. He seems to imagine this MoU can't be broken...he assumes Uhuru's word (in this vulnerable state) is trustworthy...talk of political naivety. What he will soon realize is that ICC or not, negative PR from Hague or not, MoU or not, Uhuru will still (likely) run. With Githu Muigai as AG, Uhuru's presidential run is taking shape. Kalonzo's assumption that Hague will destroy Uhuru so bad, making him (Kalonzo) PNU's compromise candidate, is a pipedream. Watch this space.

There is nothing in the Rome statute to prevent them from running. Indeed, Bemba has been planning to run for the Congolese presidency right from with the cells in the Hague. See Google etc. for articles such as www.menafn.com/qn_news_story.asp?storyid=%7Bc406437c-04c5-40d7-8f15-caecb412de8c%7DI picked this particular one because Bemba's lawyer cites the Ocampo 6 as proof that being charged with crimes against humanity is not inconsistent with holding high office. More "fame" for Kenya, I guess. Ruto and Uhuru must run. The charges against them will be confirmed, so they must plan to pull a Bashir stunt. I don't see then cheerfully accepting the prospects of 25+ behind bars.

Hon. Kilemi Mwiria couldn't have put it better!! www.standardmedia.co.ke/columnists/InsidePage.php?id=2000042112&cid=650&G7 alliance ganging up against Raila has suspicious intentions By Kilemi Mwiria Tribal alliances appear an unavoidable element of Kenya’s presidential contests. Often they involve deals that target one man, as was the case with Uhuru Kenyatta in 2002, Mwai Kibaki in 2007, and now Raila Odinga in 2012. When a group of politicians target one man, it is rarely about national good but self, especially when those uniting happen to be non-reformists. That is why they explain their intended unity in terms of sacrificing their personal interest for the sake of one of them – not country. This is why they will, from time to time, isolate one of their members and recall him only when they sense the danger of losing. The G7 alliance is not about a common ideology as those uniting do not point to a development agenda different from that of the candidate they are ganging up against. Those colluding against the other have at one time or another worked in one team, including with their newfound enemy. The G7 alliance is particularly intriguing in that its members are fighting one with whom they serve in the same Government. One would expect that they subscribe to similar principles, which could be advanced by any of them. What hypocrisy is this, especially given that in previous elections, some of the G7 members were the staunchest advocates of the candidate now turned enemy number one? These political games are confusing to the public and are additional ammunition to those who always see mischief in Kenya’s political leadership. Ganging up against one person is also undemocratic, as it does not allow the public to make a choice on the competing candidates based on their development record and vision for country? You win or lose depending on the number of ethnic voting blocks you have; not because of whom you are. Neutrals must wonder why one man should scare so many others. Why would seven candidates lack the confidence to win unless they team up against one other? Why would these presidential aspirants mortgage their own ambition and vision for country to one of their equals? Such cowardice can only propel Raila to a notch above the rest of the competition in the eyes of the public who may think that; if he can only lose to a combined force of seven men, then he must be seven times better than each one of them. This view is backed by the fact that Raila always finds a way of being more visible than his opponents. He could also benefit from a backlash by constituents represented by the G7 clique who were not consulted on the pact. The G7 alliance and other tribal cliques can only take us back to the backward politics of personality cults, corruption, weak political parties and ethnic tensions. It could provoke a backlash as Raila’s supporters – from within and outside his ethnic group – ask why pick on him. Let whoever wants to be Kenya’s president prove his ability by going out there to win without a supporting cast. If there is no clear winner, let the best two fight it out in a replay. I agree with Mwiria, The G-7 alliance's only goal is to humble Raila and they will only achieve this if they agree to front one of them. Otherwise, Tinga cannot be downed that easily.

Im suprised that the main mover of the G7 Ruto is not in the equation here. This latest equation comprises of Saitoti, Kalonzo and Uhuru. Where is our friend Ruto? Whats going on www.standardmedia.co.ke/InsidePage.php?id=2000042929&cid=4&ttl=Big Three pact to take on Raila By Athman Amran and Gakuu Mathenge Political activity ahead of 2012 is going a notch higher, with political parties retreating to strategy rooms with potential mates to forge winning alliances. Friday, it was the turn of President Kibaki’s PNU to solidify its position and put the party in good stead to battle it out with its uneasy grand coalition partner ODM, led by Prime Minister Raila Odinga, come next year. The parties making up the Party of National Unity took the tentative steps towards forging a united front when they adopted a 10-point common electoral protocol. They also adopted a new alliance symbol of a big bus emblazoned in black, gold and green colours. The protocol includes joint party structures and nomination rules for candidates from the lowest level - County Assemblies - to the highest - Presidential candidates. Three PNU leaders signed the protocol, agreeing to nominate a single presidential candidate for the 2012 presidential election. The winner in the nominations would then face-off with Prime Minister Raila Odinga, of ODM, who has been rated in opinion polls as the man to beat, and other candidates. Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka, Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta and Internal Security minister Prof George Saitoti said they were committed to support whoever wins in the PNU-Alliance presidential nominations. The signing of the protocol marks a turning point for the outfit, and assuages fears — for now — of an imminent implosion under internal competition. The top three leading lights expressed firm commitment to the protocol when they spoke in Nairobi yesterday where all the PNU-Alliance parties met to debate and sign the "protocol". Friday’s meeting, which was attended by National Executive Committee members of all PNU-Alliance parties, was also to agree on rules to nominate single candidates for the seats of senator, governor, MP and county representatives. The meeting was also to agree on individual party membership and recruit members for the PNU-Alliance Parliamentary Group who will pay Sh10,000 as subscription fees. Open process They were also to agree on what to do with those who fail the joint nomination process, with speakers floating the idea of supporting them for other positions such as Speakers of the National Assembly and the Senate, Cabinet Secretaries or other available positions. "Kalonzo, Saitoti and I are candidates. The issue is to identify a candidate in an open process," Uhuru said, adding that what mattered was a free and fair process. He vowed to support the candidate who emerged victorious."I will respect the process. Those seeking the posts of governor, senator, MP and county representatives should also go through the same process," Uhuru, who is the Kanu chairman, said. He said the alliance has to work hard for an agreeable process, adding that this way they would be victorious come next year. "I am here to give my own commitment to this journey," said Uhuru, who has in recent opinion polls been rated second to Raila as the preferred successor to President Kibaki. Mr Kalonzo said that the unity of the three presidential aspirants stands firm. "You have my personal commitment," said Kalonzo. He added: "If we stand together, we will win. We should remove suspicions of any description to win". Prof Saitoti said that it was only in unity that they would come up with a leader in 2012. Saitoti, who is the PNU chairman, said he was committed to participate in the presidential nominations and would support the victor. Joint nominations involving different parties would usually be riddled with suspicion and this will be a big test for the alliance. Matters will not be made any easier by the entry of Eldoret North MP William Ruto’s UDM party, which has of late been gravitating towards the PNU alliance under the amorphous so-called G7 outfit. Implement protocol "We are here to implement the protocol and accept the party symbol," PNU secretary-general Kiraitu Murungi said. However, it was instructive that Uhuru, Kalonzo and Saitoti never mentioned the G-7 alliance. They only pointed out that the PNU-Alliance door was open and welcomed all those willing to join them. "We keep the door wide open and welcome all those willing to share a common vision," said Uhuru. The leaders at the same time expressed suspicion on the short-listing of the 44 candidates for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). Kalonzo said he suspected there were schemes to rig the electoral process for the 2012 General Election. Both Kalonzo and Uhuru said they want those serving in the Interim Independent Electoral Commission (IIEC) to be interviewed for the IEBC positions. "Kenyans were satisfied with the work of the IIEC," said Uhuru. "We want the process to be fair and truthful. We do not want people to be selected through a very unfair process," Kalonzo said.

question here is uhuru there as (on behalf of) KANU or as the anointed of central? since PNU is an alliance of parties, but from what i hear KANU has no interest in this alliance. looks like the political planets are starting to size each other and align.

Adongo,What an interesting turn of events in the KKK/PNU/G-7 House."We are here to implement the protocol and accept the party symbol," PNU secretary-general Kiraitu Murungi said.
"We keep the door wide open and welcome all those willing to share a common vision," said Uhuru. The message is stark and clear to Ruto.
The three - specifically Kalonzo, Uhuru, & Saitoti - are making it known this alliance is their house. They built it first. They can only welcome others (like Ruto) later. When you belatedly walk into someone's house (a house you didn't participate in building), you don't bring makelele, you just sit put and take whatever is offered - even if it's sugarless Uji.Of course, Ruto previously tried fiercely, to build the house with Uhuru alone, then invite later, the rest like Kalonzo, but lo... the house apparently has its owners already. What a beautiful PNU house! Kalonzo had to time when the ICC suspects were at their weakest moment, to strike with his dream wish. The only thing to watch, the fat lady has not sang. Ruto is left in a catch 22 situation because his folks don't want to hear any crap about a pre-election pact led by Uhuru. He is now forced to go it alone under UDM as Presidential candidate. That's the only way he remains relevant.

As the sands beneath the house that this rudderless PNU/PDP/TAI/KKK/ etc, continue to shift, it is becoming clearer that this is nothing but a vehicle for Uhuru to run for office.
Ruto, Wamalwa, etc, are apparently just "watu wa mkono".... ;D
Ruto, O Ruto, how many times will you be used by these good-for-nothing Banana people for their own selfish agenda...?
This house is not built on solid ground as often discussed in Jukwaa, it will not stand the test of time, or rules of engagement....it has no formal structure, no political agenda....so how long will the so called "Big 3" keep holding hands?
Musyoka secretly hopes that Uhuru will be soon out of the equation courtesy of ICC.... chameleon
Saitoti has no real solid support behind him... paper weight
Uhuru on the other hand has most support from the mechanics of this vehicle who keep endorsing him every weekend as the choice of central Kenya....but he may not be cleared to run in 2012...
So when will these clowns defect from their current parties?... or When will their current parties deposit the instruments of merger with the registrar of parties....
As Adongo has written above, this circus is not over till the "fat lady sings"...

oh well www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/I+have+quit+G7+Alliance+says+Jirongo+/-/1064/1252698/-/119yk62z/-/index.html== Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo on Sunday claimed that he and his Eldoret North and Saboti colleagues William Ruto and Eugene Wamalwa respectively were no longer part of the G7 Alliance. Mr Jirongo said they had decided to quit the Alliance because “it was clear President Kibaki would settle on either Finance minister Uhuru Kenyatta or Vice-President Kalonzo Musyoka for the top seat in 2012”. == lets wait for the denials or confirmation of the same later this week

First things First . Jirongo has never been part of G-7 so to act as the spokesman of the group is not only misleading but also unethical . Secondly Kibaki has never come out clearly on a candidate he prefers should take the mantle from him , actually he has distanced himself from the matter.
What is for sure is the G-7 members should come out clearly and make joint tours to show they are one item. and we know the G-7 top members i.e Ruto,Kalonzo,Uhuru,Duale,Makwere,Wamalwa and Magara...... Which party is Jirongo in ? Kadu or Kaddu>

G7 Alliance vows to hold together till 2012 In Summary * Ruto and Wamalwa condemn Lugari MP for ‘speaking on their behalf’ Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo on Monday came under attack from leaders of the G7 alliance for dismissing the grouping. The leaders of the G7 alliance vowed to stick together ahead of 2012 elections and dismissed claims that it will disintegrate before the polls. Speaking in Kebura Nchogu Primary school in South Mugirango Constituency, the alliance led by Eldoret North MP William Ruto, Mr Eugene Wamalwa (Saboti), Mr Isaac Ruto (Chepalungu) and former South Mugirango MP Omingo Magara said their alliance will form the next government. The MPs said they have not appointed anybody to speak on their behalf terming Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo’s remarks as “outrageous”. (READ: I have quit G7 Alliance, says Jirongo) “Who is Jirongo to speak on behalf of G7 Alliance, when was he appointed the party’s spokesperson?” posed Chepalungu MP. On Sunday Mr Jirongo claimed that G7 will disintegrate ahead of next elections and that some members of the alliance were President Kibaki’s project of succession politics. The Eldoret MP expressed optimism that their alliance will make the next government claiming that the country needs leaders who are not out to serve their selfish interests. Selfish interests “The G7 have agreed to trade above selfish interests because of the unity of Kenyans across the border, not what an individual will gain out of leadership,” said Mr Ruto. Separately, Immigration Minister Otieno Kajwang’ poured cold water on G7 alliance terming it as “a basket full of busybodies which has reached dead end”. Mr Kajwang’ said the political groupings of G-7 and PNU alliances were busy going round the same circle due to panic at ODM. “There is too much smoke coming out from their kitchen with very little cooking going on,” he said. www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/G7+Alliance+vows+to+hold+together+till+2012+/-/1064/1253454/-/x6t7tw/-/index.html
