Fahari, thanks for the EVD-OTP! Indeed a picture does speak a thousand words & Ngilu's saying "dare you bring your hand here..."
Kamale, Phil & his crew will never retract nor apologize for posting false information even though they often demand the same from those who post alternate (but true!) posts that oppose their world view. Now if that isn't cultish behavior I don't know what it is...

Kalonzo should not even bother shed crocodile tears at Wangari Maathai's funeral, when KANU was mistreating Wangari, Kalonzo was singing Baba Moi and leaking his boots, they either kept quiet or encouraged the mistreatment she got, lets not encourage such people to think today they can do bad and we will play civil tomorrow. You might be interested to read the Standard of 7.x.2011, which gathered a sample of the grosser insults hurled at Ms. Maathai down the years. Highlight: It was then the turn of the then Kinango MP Ali Abdalla Bidu to speak. He said: "Na kule pwani mtu kama huyo tunampiga "salaala tu". (At the Coast, we shout salaala to such a person).
MPs sought to know what that meant. "That is to condemn someone. That is why when people are astonished, they say salaala. Now I’d like all of us MPs to say salaala."
The house shouted, "Salaala!"

I still do not understand the logic behind the bamboo and hyacinth. Arent they part of our natural vegetation anyway? Bamboo is not considered a tree, it belongs to the grass family. The water hyacinth is a highly destructive plant to our water bodies its literally choking of lake Victoria thus the need to find alternative uses for it. Pretty symbolic I must say.... All trees are good but some grass is bad. I hear you. Sometimes I read correspondence on Jukwaa and ask myself, did I read what I think I read? I am not sure I get the argument between the honorables above, but just really makes my day! Jesus Christus! Sure some GRASS is bad!

I did a presentation on Wangari Maathai last friday to other Africans, and they were really impressed and humbled to know her.

what a load of crap.
Ati because Ngilu has her hands crossed it is being interpreted that she has declined Kalonzo's handshake? What about the clasped Wetangula who Kalonzo offered a handshake?
You guys need to style up.

You guys need to style up. (1) You claimed the only MP at JKIA when Uhuru landed was Beth Mugo. This is false, as the video of Ngilu meeting Uhuru at JKIA shows. (2) In both the Citizen and the NTV video, it's obvious that it's Ngilu who doesn't wish to shake Kalonzo's hand. She keeps her hands folded, when he leans in for the handshake. Nonetheless, Kalonzo reaches out and touches her lap with his left hand. She looks away, before looking down at (what I presume to be) her program. I'm genuinely shocked that you're willing to lie so blatantly about these incidents when there's publicly-available video.

Not everyone who was there on Saturday morning went to receive Uhuru. You were not at the VIP tent when Kalonzo strode in and you are no expert in reading body language. That pic does not support your theories.

That pic does not support your theories. (1) One need not have been at the VIP tent to see what happened. (I imagine this is handy for you, since you weren't there either.) Luckily for all of us, the NTV video, is about as clear as can be. Kalonzo approaches, leans in; Ngilu ignores him, and he touches her gently with his left hand. It really is that simple, sorry. (2) You were a bit careless in your claim about the airport. You weren't content with claiming that Ngilu wasn't there to meet Uhuru---that might have been an arguable point. Instead, you claimed that Beth Mugo was the only MP present. The citizentv video shows Ngilu was also there (scroll to 1:50). Since she's an MP, anyone who (i) can watch the video, and (ii) recognise Ngilu and Mugo can see you're lying. As I said earlier, shocking conduct from you.

Whilst it is clear that you have your issues with Kalonzo (as most of us do!) twisting the story is untruthful and asking us to look at Wetangula's hands in comparison to Ngilu's is juvenile. In any case the story is that Ngilu snubbed the VP. My personal view is that she was the one that was childish especially as we can see the position of the VP's left hand. She cannot do such a thing in public and hope to earn herself any respect!

The only thing worse than seeing a professional propagandist caught in a lie is watching him continue to remain blind to the truth, even when the evidence clearly shows the game is up.
Phil, you're in quicksand. The more you fight it, the faster you sink. You're embarrassing yourself & the party that actually PAYS you to peddle petty lies. No doubt you will soon say the picture posted above was Photoshopped while the video links are Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) as was made popular by Steve Jobs old company, PIXAR.
Losing one battle is not the end of the war. Retreat, whilst you still have some dignity left, & fight another day...

There's nothing to suggest to me that Ngilu actually declined Kalonzo's hand because it was never simply offered. Using the same parameters you judge Ngilu with, what do Wetangula's clasped hands suggest? Perhaps f Kalonzo had actually offered the handshake and it was snubbed then we could actually accuse Ngilu for being childish and bila decorum. I stick to my story. And b6k, why must my personal opinion be misconstrued to be 'paid propaganda'? Can you substantiate or withdraw?

Phil, I've said it here before that as it's common knowledge you have both your opinion & the party positions that you air here, it's difficult to tell if we are hearing from Phil the man or Phil the party mouthpiece.
However, seeing that you have clearly stated that the above are your personal positions, I withdraw the reference to your party affiliation.
