Some time in soccer you need more than luck to emerge victorious.
Harambee Stars were on the receiving end most of this game and if it was not for the on-form Arnold Origi in goal, the result would certainly have been at least 4-0 in favour of the Ugandans.
European leagues professionals Mariga and Oliech were made to look like local koth biro cup players. Oliech blasted wide in a one on one with the Ugandan goalie. Coach Zico's tactics were very suspect and I doubt if the technical bench had any game plan or undertook any due diligence on the Uganda crane side.
The result? 0-0. Kenya will not be participating in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, again!

Kenya is in dignified company of countries that did not qualify including South Africa and Nigeria! Poor uganda only needed a goal to qualify to break a 30 year jinx!

Poor uganda only needed a goal to qualify to break a 30 year jinx! supporting harambee stars is sadomachistic. Too much pain with nothing to show for it. And what happened to the FKL/KFF elections? Let's now wait for the 2013 african cup of nations & 2014 world cup qualifiers...where we once again expect to qualify even though we've not invested in structures & processes.

Raila took his non-winning bad omen to the Namboole stadium and cost both teams a place at the ANC finals (lol!!). Bure kabisa.

wrangles will not solve anything. football in Kenya needs fresh management. leaders need to go back to drawing board and strategize or else we are doomed in the field of the world's loved game

So it is Raila's fault now? Jeez! Do people listen to the words that come out of their mouths?

Yet another disappointing performance from the stars The petulant attitudes from Oliech Mariga and Jamal Mohammed spoke volumes of the Stars state of mind. Whenever a team isn't mentally united they will ALWAYS lose and disappoint.
