Let me commence by first wishing all our Muslim sisters and brothers who browse here at the JUKWAA forum
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eid_ul-Adha
Mubarak whether they are regular posters or silent lurkers.
As we all know by now, the neo-colonial puppets in Baghdad hanged
the blood stained and largely unlamented former Iraqi dictator at the crack of dawn of Saturday, December 30, 2006.
The equally blood-stained global war criminal George Bush was among the first to approve of the execution.
Unfortunately for the Iraqi puppets and their US puppeteers, the black lash throughout the Muslim world is already being felt.
One of the questions that millions of Muslims (including some of Saddam Hussein's many victims) are furiouly mulling over is why was it absolutely necesssary for Saddam to be killed on the very first day of the Idd celebrations- traditionally a time when even the most vicious criminal's life is spared.
By their haste, the hangmen of Baghdad have managed, through their gross religious miscalculation managed to alienate even those who may have otherwise cheered them on were the date of the execution to have been set for another occasion.
Some of Saddam's most virulent foes are fulminating for a different reason- they feel that the pro-Western Iraqi regime has cheated them out of justice by curtailing other trials where Saddam Hussein would have been held accountable for his many atrocities.
Even Western civil liberty and human rights advocates who started denouncing Saddam when he was still a strategic US ally are convinced that his trial was show kangaroo traversty because the many errors of ommission and commission perpetrated when he was still in the dock.
Even MSNBC of all sources is predicting a very grim future for Iraq and Iraqis:
www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16396338/
There are reports of upto 30 people being snuffed out by an insurgent attack.
For me all this reminds of a piece I wrote literally a few days after the 2003 invasion of Iraq:
www.mashada.com/forums/index.php?az=set_linear_mode&forum=22&page=&topic_id=19131&prev_page=show_topic
Today I do not wish to add even a coma to that essay from almost four years ago...
Sincerely,
