I have just hopped, skipped and jumped from my Facebook account to Jukwaa.
As some of you may know Moses Kuria and Onyango Oloo are friends on Facebook. Therefore I get to read his postings on my FB wall. I know of at least one other Jukwaa member who is also friends with MK so they can verify what I am about to say. MK himself is a member of Jukwaa and can correct me if I am wrong.
Below is Moses Kuria's latest Facebook status update (I am posting this around a quarter to three in the afternoon Kenyan time, Thursday October 20, 2011):
Let me reiterate Moses Kuria's central claim:
"Victim's lawyer Morris Anyah just left Norfolk hotel with Miguna Miguna after secret meeting with James Orengo. I am waiting for him here to ask why the selective meeting with one side of the political divide? This is what I have been saying all along. Miguna has confirmed to media he met Anyah."
This is patently FALSE.
As soon as I saw this I contacted Miguna who was perplexed by this story because he was at home. He told me that the major media houses had already contacted him over Moses Kuria's claims.
Why is Onyango Oloo so categorical that Kuria is lying?
Morris Anyah did NOT meet Miguna Miguna at the Norfolk on Thursday, October 20, 2011.
The meeting took place YESTERDAY, October 19th.
I was there.
This is what happened.
Between 1:00 and 1:45 pm Miguna Miguna was sitting on a bench at the back of the Norfolk Hotel being interviewed by Jeff Koinange for his Capital Talk show.
I was waiting for him somewhere near the reception.
As soon as Jeff wrapped up the taping of his show Miguna walked towards the entrance and on seeing me we looked for a quiet table and ordered lunch.
As we were chatting between nibbles I saw a particular young man who happens to be a lawyer pass by and I hailed him and engaged him in pleasantries.
A few minutes later, a certain middle aged man came up to us and introduced himself to Miguna.
He turned out to be Morris Anyah, the victims' lawyer. To my shock my young lawyer friend revealed that the "Indian woman" who had whizzed past me a few minutes previously was none other than the Kenyan born, Hague-based Lady Justice Sureta Chana, the other victims' lawyer who so happened to be the Senior State Counsel who had prosecuted Onyango Oloo way back in September-November 1982.
During this chance encounter with Morris Anyah which lasted approximately twenty minutes, Mr. Anyah gave us a general background into the ICC process and confirmed that he was NOT in the running to succeed Luis Moreno Ocampo as Chief Prosecutor. I found him an affable and modest person.
Morris Anyah excused himself and left.
We stayed behind- Miguna and I- for a few minutes before Miguna too, left for a meeting that he had told me about earlier.
Miguna could not have met Anyah yesterday or today because he was calling me this morning to see if I had the contact of the young lawyer who was with Anyah because he did not have Anyah's contact.
I hope the above sets the record straight.

Philemon Wesonga Neither ODM nor PNU has been charged at the court as political parties. The six Kenyans are charged as individuals. Anyah represents victims at the ICC, victims who the GoK has failed to defend opting instead to spare no effort nor expense to absolve the six accused. Political parties have a choice: either align themselves with the victims or align themselves with the accused, or support the formation of a local credible tribunal. Its obvious which side you fall Bw. Moses Kuria.
