Dear African Community Leaders:
enyo international, Inc. (enyo) whose primary mission is to create opportunity for economic sustainability in Africa; is sponsoring an African unity program on Sunday, March 4, 2007 from 3:00 p.m. –6:00 p.m. at the Saint Joseph's Historic Foundation (Hayti Heritage Center), 804 Old Fayetteville Street, Durham, North Carolina.
The program is intended to unify and empower the African community, with specific focus on the development of women. The only way to strengthen our Continent and create economic sustainability is to strengthen those invaluable components that are underutilized. Therefore, Sunday, March 4, 2007, will be recognized as a day of unity with a primary focus on the African women.
The program is entitled: WOMEN IN ACTION: Creating A Sustainable Africa.
Our guest speaker is the Honorable Raila Odinga from the Republic of Kenya (www.raila07.com). He will speak on the topic: How Can African Women Be Change Agents in Creating a Sustainable Africa?
A pre-program ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m. and we are asking all to wear the traditional African attire representing our different countries. We also are asking the women to arrive between 2:30 p.m.-3:00 p.m. to line up for a formal entrance signifying our unity.
The reception will follow the program and is entitled, "A Taste of Africa." We are organizing Africans to cook their traditional dishes.
Please organize your groups and provide to us by Friday, February 9, 2007, the number of confirmed participants for the following:
Members who will attend the program
Women who will participate in the unity entrance
Members who will participate in the pre-program ceremony event to welcome our dignitaries before the formal program at 4:00 p.m.
Children who will participate in the pre-program ceremony entrance activity
Members who will cook for the reception, “A Taste of Africaâ€
Let us show North Carolina how powerful we are in numbers. Please help us to fill the auditorium and signify our unity.
