after almost a year of putting new memberships on hold, JUKWAA has opened up registrations for a limited period.
remember, fake and multi-handle registrations will result in the member being yanked completely- together with all their accounts.

OO
Can you explain to people how to register. From the results I can see some people have figured that out. I don't remember how I registered myself.
Also at some point it might be useful to offer little hints to members as to how they can post pictures etc. It took me a while to learn all that, but it makes a world of a difference on what I can present at the forum.
And one more thing, could you also encourage some of our comrades and political foes right there at home with you to register with Jukwaa. I know we are all Kenyans regardless of where we live but some of the fresh and on the ground perspectives we get from the Jukwaa contingent in the country is very valuable.
All in all I think Jukwaa should be a peoples' platform for politics, fun and struggle that could be very valuable in this election year, just like it was in the referendum run of 2005.
Let's welcome our new members with a simple promise. Feel free to say whatever it is you want to talk about. Welcome.

Adongo:
Thanks for your suggestions. I cannot respond to each one right now.
Regarding registering, simply click on the register button and follow the instructions. They are NOT counter-intuitive.
You would be surprised if you knew how many people based here in Kenya are members of JUKWAA including some pretty high profile people.
Obviously for confidentiality purposes, my lips are sealed as far as blurting out their names and other details. Perhaps we can encourage them to lurk less and speak out more.
Sadly, this is NOT a laissez-faire forum where ANYTHING goes as. If one does not violate our rules, no one will censor them.

Sadly, this is NOT a laissez-faire forum where ANYTHING goes as. If one does not violate our rules, no one will censor them. Onyango Oloo Nairobi Sadly indeed. But methinks that if you are smart, meaning you know what you are doing, you can get away with talking some trash, some mild sexism, open racism, crude tribalism, stealthy cyber stalking, open homophobia and a fair chunk of bigotry right here on Jukwaa. Vices, I daresay, that regularly afflict the likes of RR. The difference being that you might cloth your racism and homophobia in the 'prada' of diplospeak, satire, figurative language, poetry and other stylistic devices - that pass the scrutiny at customs unnoticed.... perhaps ignored and even, God forbid, tolerated. But honestly, I don't suppose a discussion forum needs too many new members; they are awfully hard to teach. A few intelligent posts are all we need – to carve a niche and gain a reputation. That reputation could be sleaze, or maturity, or focus, or happily, good grammar. ME I hate repetition. ME I hate cheerleading even more and ME I couldn't stand an 'Aunty Tabby' discussion board. (See my point everyone?).
