That explains why Barrack Muluka has of late been writing Raila friendly commentaries.

If he indeed he made such an observation, then the more reason he should be inducted into the secretariat. ODM need people who can perform a crisp diagnosis and then offer solution. Barack Muluka now has a chance to make ODM sparkle and become sparky instead of fizzling out.

They care less about the outcome. Now, if Miguna's assertion is anything to go by, Raila is the new billionaire in town and being very friendly to the west, you can bet billions will be coming into his campaign, and these guys know this too well. What will stop them from trooping his way even though they know the campaign itself is a still birth really.

although i have been privy to this team's existence and operation for weeks now, i am must confess that i was taken aback by the selective confirmation and announcement of some and have communicated the same.i am especially at a lose over the timing of the announcement. whats the haste given that election is officially march next year and more importantly why is the announcement made before odm picks its presidential nominee? ok, nothing stops mudavadi from announcing his presidential election team but in my small silly mind, i thought it would be prudent to go public with this. on the other hand, we may argue that agwambo's handlers wanted to infuse a sense of purpose and secure the momentum of the team none of whom were full time staff and more importantly illustrate the confidence based on independent research that confirms he is the man kenyans want to bridge its past and future as that legendary german chancellor. about muluka i see no fuss especially from odm cynics.remember my caution the other day against lynching moses the kuria who in all probability is one of us. all that said, may i congratulate this layer of agwambo's thinktank for their appointment to the presidential re-election team(yes he is defending his presidency). muluka and i know he is reading this, should as a matter of urgency undo the dent that deniss onyango(see our archive on jukwaa's fulminations on pm's media management) has done with his aloofness.unlike kalonzo and ohuru's media handlers who i am reliably informed have all the time for every journalist--onyango is high up them. if barack can effectively countenance the nairobi lobbyists, media spinners and propagandists that have earned their keeps with anti-odm and anti-raila media coverage, then he deserves my respect. i am also aware that muluka who is a literati per excellence and is grounded in the publishing world is rubbing his fingers in great anticipation of a date with the man in the photo below. lets see who is going to peel whose mask.unedited unedited

Such a lofty office for such a political greenhorn? I think Raila the reformist is slowly tightening his noose and as Mutahi Ngunyi keeps telling those who care to listen, Raila is his own worst enemy, always ready to self destruct any time. If the appointment is meant to hoodwink Central province, basi waziri mkuu amenoa! Central is a battle lost and he should not tie himself in knots over it. Ngunjiri ain't a household name in Kenya or even Central. True, he has written a few pro ODM articles in The Star and led pro Mungiki demos in Limuru 2B but that's all it! I have a hunch this appointment will just boil tempers to those more qualified and long standing members in ODM and build up sour grapes, jealousy and envy. Poor judgement yet again coming so soon after Miguna's callous sacking through the radio.

Destiny
You disillusionment is understandable. But I can assure you that this appointment has nothing to do with an attempt at getting Central votes and Raila cannot be that dumb to imagine so! You should see Ngunjiri Wanbugu where you see Maina Njenga. Their love affair with Raila is not ideological but of essence financial. Maina would appear to have hoodwinked Raila that he can deliver the Mungiki youth (yes that lot you saw at Limuru Ii) and in order to place an intelligent person in the Raila secretariat, he chose Ngunjiri a political green horn as you correctly call him secure the lot from Maina.
So yes Raila sometimes is as dumb as they come, and this association with Mungiki will irreparably harm him as time shall surely tell.

Isnt it just an absurdity that jukwaa minions like destiny and kamale, have plenty to say about an independent appointment by a candidate they oppose but lack the words to describe clowns like Ferdinand Waititu at the very best or court jesters like Gideon Mbuvi Sonko at worst, just but two individuals forming the core of the campaign teams of some candidates who want to be elected president of Kenya. The contrast is amazing!
Ngunjiri is perhaps one of the most sober folks you can come across. His only crime is that he has chosen a path that not many folk from GEMA have done in the past.

Now Miguna and coterie of friends should write another book and tour the country to criticize Kenyans of impeccable intergrity, including Wafula Buke, who have taken up appointments at the Raila 2013 SecretariatChanges at Raila Odinga Presidential SecretariatLife goes on and the election nears! How are the book tours doing?

How are the book tours doing? Phil,The most worrying thing with these changes is that whereas failures like Wafula Buke are scrambling for the remnants of the nusu mkate, men of sense such as this Ongwae guy have realized that they are going nowhere with this campaign. And that, the sooner they fend for themselves the better. Meanwhile here is another problem: www.nation.co.ke/News/politics/Minister+threatens+to+ditch+Raila+team+++/-/1064/1498462/-/as2o51z/-/index.htmlIt is beginning to dawn on each of these guys as it has dawned on some here on Juwaa, that they are placing their money on the wrong and fake horse.

Rumor was there for weeks regarding Muluka's humiliating exit from Chungwa Hse. He messed it up by going personal with Kibisu Kabatesi who is Mudavadi's head of communication. Then again, Muluka joins a long list of those hounded out of office- regardless of that he claims in his statement- and these include Tony Gachoka, Miguna...etc etc. There is a huge crisis going on in ODM because it seems to be in a complete meltdown with big names leaving in droves while they fish out for useless minnows like Wako. And the good old PM has not even named his running mate!

Muluka of the secretariat, Kuguru, Misoi of the election board hounded out of office and we are still seeign rocky times ahead?
Rail now more than ever needs the cool head of Salim and the likes of Miguna who will tell him the truth and suffer no fools....but with a massive caveat that he will listen to them!

And the good old PM has not even named his running mate! Personnel changes in campaigns is a normal and routine matter. There is no "huge crisis" going on in ODM and neither is there a "complete meltdown" with "big names leaving in droves." It is of course not true that ODM is fishing out for "useless minnows like Wako. Wako honed his skills well serving his master and survived for as long as he did much as we may all wish to condemn him, he's still a human being with a family to feed and if people elect him as governor, who is anyone to complain? Isn't that what democracy is all about, minnow or not? And if his agreeing to work with Raila helps solidify Raila's vote in the area--minnow or otherwise, what's wrong with that? What politician can you name worth a shot at the presidency can you name who would not do the same thing? Which is worse; having minnows joining a campaign or shelling money one can make a good case is ill-gotten to woo and buy politicians and votes out of desperation?

Phil and others, I have just learned from an impeccable source Salim Lone has not been appointed to any position involving Raila or ODM. I accordingly withdraw my earlier congratulatory message but the point in it that ODM message is wanting and in need of fixing remains.
