Thanks although the language used in the songs is not understood by all jukwaa members.

The beauty of music and good music at that, is that it defies the language barrier. And so is the humour laden Atis Jaber and Mugithii hits. Enjoy.

the last time I checked, Jukwaa has 340 members, a record membership and judging by the quality of the posts here, we are indeed the best.
These two rib cracking renditions are my small way of saying kudos to all those who have kept Jukwaa flag flying high up.
Enjoy

The Luo hits aren't playing for me. What's the trick?

Quite something: Courtesy of a good friend of Jukwaa
Check Saidia Karoli when you are there. I don't understand the language but it is an amazing story of song, dance and relationships.

Happy weekend folks

Ok that's really refreshing. Madilu system is always fresh.
And the grand maestro himself left us with some real classics. Reminds me I need to replace my copy of Mamou......
I'll end by singing,.......Makambo ezali binenee ehhhh,..Franco......BACK TO WORK FOLKS!

This mamou is a hit.
Is there a Mjukwaa who can translate the song in English... I mean just a summary of what the song is all about?

celebrating the life of Odongo Mayaka. Rest in PeaceGood God! Odongo Mayaka is dead? I discovered him only one year ago, and I can confess that he was a talent that came only second to the indomitable Mwalimu Daniel Owno Ja-Shirati for me. Mayaka was brilliant and original... May his soul rest in eternal peace!

Jukwaa's membership has hit 665, almost double when I joined it in April 2007 after being referred by a diplomat friend. You good people deserves commendation for making Jukwaa what it is today--- the bellwether of Kenyan politics. For PM, aichener and the Kamales, the Kathurekabaaras, the Wakwitus and all great minds of Jukwaa to who Luo is not lingo, here is Luo diva Iddi Achieng... Achieng the daughter of Ugenya,Achieng the daughter of Umira Kager, Achieng wife of son of Alego.....engaging our hearts and minds with powerful renditions...among them my all time favourite Thim Lich Enjoy!
