pledged his loyalty, firmly embedding Kenya in the USA orbit and professing his subservience forever,
and in exchange, that is the end of the ICC case I think. But it means the semblances of dignity like the relative autonomy you, Gichangi, liked to have over Kenya's secrets, is now absolutely null and void. America is a declining power and no longer sure of her soft methods of persuasion, therefore it needs to keep a hands-on regime on all her vassal states. So they must own the chief of intelligence of provinces like Kenya.
And so the reluctant vassal Gichangi has to go. But a whispering campaign has to ensue, to character assassinate him and cover up the true reasons for his sacking!
