Amazing. But it shows Kung Fu has really "arrived" in Kenya. The first job is always to put the natives in their place. www.nation.co.ke/counties/nairobi/Chinese-restaurant-no-African-after-5pm/-/1954174/2662642/-/svixtnz/-/index.htmlSome workers who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of losing their jobs denied claims that a select group of Africans are allowed into the restaurant after 5pm.
“It is strictly a no-African policy and we have even had to turn away some prominent Kenyans who were obviously not a security threat,” said one worker. There you have it. Any questions?

“It is strictly a no-African policy and we have even had to turn away some prominent Kenyans who were obviously not a security threat,” said one worker. There you have it. Any questions? When Chairman Mao Tse Tung, the communist founder of modern China, launched the peoples republic on October 1 1949 ... his iconic words were: THE CHINESE PEOPLE STAND UP! It pays, to pay a closer attention to these words. It is not like those ritual oaths everyday politicians mouth on their rise to office .. going like I hereby declare that I so and so will henceforth fwack only so and so, and so help me people. This was no oath. This was a people reclaiming their dignity after a long period of turmoil, dehumanisation and colonial humiliation. It was a period in which their own emperor had been forced to sign an edict -(the 1842 treaties of Nanking, 1858 Tientsin, and the 1860 convention of Beijing), to allow the British and their European allies to cultivate his people as opium addicts, to function as a compulsory market for the opium the same British were growing on occupied Chinese land with forced Chinese labour! When it comes to fwacking a people and their countries good, I doubt the genius of Britons can be surpassed. That is how Mega banks like the top dog HSBC (Hong Kong -launched 1865-- Shanghai Bank) became global leaders in capital accumulation and multiplication. I can't remember verbatim now, so I will paraphrase a Chinese lament. Our emperor is bowed like a hunchback His eyes too firmly fixed on the ground.
All China kneels at the feet of the barbarian.
Like Oedipus I gorge out my eyes Like a Samurai I dive on my sword This sight is beyond my eyes and heart -O great China. So, when Chairman Mao officially spoke to mark the end of that period of ALL CHINA kneeling before the foreign barbarian, eyes ever firm on the ground, the whole nation a hunchback, it would be a simple statement. THE CHINESE PEOPLE STAND UP! Okay. Let the lowly nyaparas who run Kenya now, the thieves --so called waheshimiwa-- who have stolen our dignity and confine us into slums and squalor, know that we know. We are a hunchback nation. Bowed and kissing the ground. Our tongues coarse from licking barbarian toes for a dime. Beware, o your quisling excellencies, of the demonic rage which condenses in our peoples hearts, when they know, in their own country, for a dime like the SGR, barbarians from afar get exclusive rights to tell them which buildings they can enter at what time or not. Uhuru Kenyatta Sir, I said the Kenyan sovereign can not go before that ICC bullsh!t at the Hague -whatever his crimes. Now, O Sovereign, did you sign a Kenyan version of the treaty of Nanking? that some Chinese Esther woman bars you from entering a Nairobi kiosk where they serve poached frog legs for 20K!?That will be the day, the Kenya people stand up! meanwhile, all kenya kneel at the feet of the barbarian! President first. Opposition leader second. For Raila is now in China.

Perhaps it's not all that bad ... The colonial mzungu had "Africans, children, and dogs not allowed"; Kung Fu at least has some use for dogs, even if it's not the sort of use that we care for ...
I grew up listening to wazees talk about the (then) long-gone "colour-bar"; so it is "amusing" that here we are now ... in the 21st century. Even more amusing is that this is happening on the watch of Kenyatta II: those who are old enough will remember when Kenyatta I would simply give obviously racist wazungu 24 hours to pack their bags and clear out. Perhaps the billions for SGR and the like makes a difference; as they say, "money talks, shite walks". And while we are it, we'll also take the elephants and the rhinos. Anyways ... The Beloved Continent is not an easy place to understand. E.g. much ink has been devoted to the "problems" caused by the colonialists making arbitrary boundaries to create nations---drawing arbitrary lines on a map. Never mind that nobody has ever had the slightest interest in undoing those arbitrary lines, Kenya is charting a new way forward: the arbitrary lines will now be replaced with a solid wall.
