A Digital Essay by Onyango Oloo
I am enjoying my self-imposed moratorium, which to remind my readers, was to enable me to complete a manuscript I have been working on for some.
Sad as the events of the last few weeks have been, developments in Kenya have meant that seven or eight of the chapters in the book have practically written themselves.
Well, I thought that on this first day of November, Onyango Oloo would emerge from the little cavern I have been snuggling in to say one or three things about things in Kenya-especially after the fake joke of a so called “election” which saw Uhuru basically running against himself and his slavish IEBC lapdogs rubber stamp the outrage in front of the national and international media- in the face of growing and credible human rights reports of human rights brutalities committed by the fascist police and their allies the Mungiki thugs especially in Nyanza and Western Kenya.
The first overall observation I would like to make is that the discredited Jubilee Party led by Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, William Ruto, David Murathe, Raphael Tuju with their acolytes like Fred Matiangi and Governor Sonko have put the same blood stained pangamachete they have used to murder justice and democracy finally against their own ICC indicted throats and are busy committing an act of Kenya style hara kiri, albeit sans the Japanese gesture of grace.
Why do I say so?
Number one: some rookie strategic blunders, like running the Uhuru 2017 elections at the same time with the Ruto 2022 coronation . William Ruto as we know, is{i] a highly reviled figure among the Gikuyu social base of TNA which worships {b]Muthamaki Mtongoria Uhuru{/b]. Ask me. I live in Sagana, Kirinyaga County where Uhuru Kenyatta is a demi-god and where the Gikuyu masses watched raptly during the ICC case against the Deputy President as gory details came out how William Ruto was the architect of the burning, rape, murder, grabbing of land in the Rift Valley during the 2007-2008 carnage. When I went to do some consulting work in Eldoret in August 2008 which involved an informal group session preceded by a standard greeting among the 13 to 15 members of the focus group those members of the Gikuyu community refused to look at and greet their Kalenjin counterparts- a measure which was reciprocated but not by other members of the cosmopolitan community which included Gusiis, Luos, Luhyia and other ethnic groups. Such was the venom and climate of hatred in the room way after Kibaki and Raila had their now famous handshake in February 2008. As evidenced during the Jubilee primaries in 2017, this air of mutual distrust was still prevalent not only in Uasin Gishu but throughout , Nyeri, Kiambu, Muranga and other parts of the {b]former Central Kenya where Gikuyu candidates openly accused Ruto of campaigning for their electoral downfall. You can be sure they will not be lining up to vote for William Ruto to succeed Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
Number two, Jubilee thought the computer trickery they used to steal the 2013 elections would would work again in 2017. Even though the [b Court did not point this out their historic ruling, by blaming IEBC[b./b], Jubilee’s l]Supreme oyal minion, the court annulled yet another stolen vote and ordered a fresh election in sixty days. This embarrassment apart from unleashing puerile anger at Chief Justice Maraga and his colleagues, brought {b]Jubilee to a halt.
Number three, making Raila Odinga the bogeyman of 2017 proved to be a costly disaster. The veteran populist has not been referred to as an “enigma” for nothing. Together with the NASA brains trust full of of such superb and experienced legal minds as Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula, James Orengo, Amos Wako, Otiende Amolo and intellectual giants like Musalia Mudavadi, Salim Lone, David Ndii, Kibisu Kabatesti, Makau Mutua, Kivutha Kibwana, Gladys Wanga, Sarah Elderkin, Oduor Ong’wen, Anyang Nyong’o, Edward Oyugi, Aisha Jumwa, Hassan Joho and Mishi Mohamed, NASA was already outlapping Uhuru and Ruto in round one of the marathon. Discards such as David Musila,Akaranga, Paul Otuoma proved in the end to be so much excess Jubilee garbage.
Number four, related to the above point, making the contest a Luo-Gikuyu affair exposed the dastardly genocidal agenda of the ICC indictees Uhuru and Ruto as their unleashed state terrorism involving brutal police slaying assisted by Mungiki thugs in mostly NASA strongholds like Kibra, Kondele, Migori and other parts of the country mostly populated by members of the Luo community- in full glare of International, Human Rights Watch, Kenya National Commission on Human Rights, IMLU, KHRC and yes officials living in Nairobi and working for the International Criminal Court.
Number five, for a regime which boasted that it was “digital”, Jubilee underestimated the millions of villagers and slum dwellers, who now armed with a smartphone, a computer, a Facebook and Twitter account replaced the wishy washy mainstream media in documenting atrocities in real time, as they happened. Not forgetting the network of NASA supporters in Washington, London, New York, Harare, Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Windhoek, Riyadh, Seoul, Toronto, Montreal, Dallas, New Jersey, Minnesota exposing the Uhuru-Ruto manufactured fabrications.[/u]
Number six, the decision to boycott the election fiasco on the part of NASA was nothing short of a piece of inspired tactics.
Number seven, Raila announcing that NASA had transformed itself into a resistance movement aiming at the Third Liberation was, in baseball terms a pitcher’s move which left the other side mouth agape and scrambling.
Number eight, the so called “international community” a euphemism for the imperialist powers of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, the European Union and to a certain extent the African Union were exposed in their rush to endorse the Jubilee massive electoral theft.
All in all, Uhuru Kenyatta, Willam Ruto and their Jubilee “Vifaranga vya Kompyuta”/i] now have to deal with a national democratic movement which can only grow stronger as Kenyans march confidently to our Third Liberation/u]-fulfilling the historical tasks started by Waiyaki wa Hinga, Mbaruk Alamin Mazrui, Me Katilili, Manje wa Madori, Moraa wa Ngiti, Muindi Mbingu, Elijah Masinde, Makhan Singh, Bildad Kaggia, Chege Kibachia,Achieng Oneko, Pio gama Pinto, Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, Masinde Muliro, Mwachengu wa Mwachofi, James Orengo, Gitobu Imanyara, Timothy Njoya, David Gitari, Micere Mugo, Sultan Somjee, Shadrack Gutto, Njeri Kabeberi, Zarina Patel, Chitechi Osundwa, Zahid Rajan, Miguna Miguna, both sets of Paddy Onyango, Adhiambo Odhiambo, Hussein Khalid, Salim Lone, Larry Gumbe, Oduor Ong’wen, Edward Oyugi, Willy Mutunga, Alamin Mazrui, Kamoji Wachiira, Maina wa Kinyatti, Abdul Nassir Hassan, Abdilatif Abdalla, Yusuf Hassan, Ngugi wa Thiongo, Gladwell Otieno, David Ndii, John Githongo , Okoth Osewe and many more other Kenyan patriots.
I am done with my November 1, 2017 digital essay. Tomorrow, I remember that Onyango Oloo/b] was imprisoned at Kamiti Maximum Security Prison on three counts of sedition.
