This Miguna guy is surely going Loco. As Kamale has said earlier, this would be a good time for Miguna's friends to really hold his hand and tell him to either go silent or tone down major.
On a separate note, I have been scratching my head trying to find out or figure out what great or major thing that Miguna has done for Kenya/Raila/ODM such that the mere plan to sack him is all of a sudden treasonable.
The only difference or contribution this guy has made to Kenyan politics is to re-define the meaning of confrontational politics.
Another thing, assuming Miguna has his way in court, what kind of working relationship is he going to have with the PM and how is he going to advise the PM? I have never seen or heard of someone trying to be an advisor by force.

R911 I think you are being dumb here! Miguna has already said he refused to sign his contract. Now how do you compare contracts of one who did not sign and those who signed theirs? In any case do have sight of Migunas? Miguna refused to sign the "contract" because it had been adjusted and did not reflect what had been previously agreed upon by his employers when he was hired.. ( have you ever been to job interview Kamalet? isn't factual that salary is discussed before an individual accepts a job offer! and if the salary discussed does not reflect in the letter of employment/contract why should one sign it? only a fool would do that! I imagine only a dumb person can't come to terms with that logic Coalition government! yes.. both principals employed advisers, i don't see how the salary scale should be difference when the coalition partnership clearly states equal partnership? both principles advisers should have same base salaries under the 50/50 coalition agreement framework unless head of Civil service Francis Muthuara was playing some illegal games! I have been saying this very many times here. If this man Miguna refussed to sign the "contract" then in law the contract does not exist, unless he can prove otherwise, which will be very hard. The arguemetn that Kibwana and Tuju signed a "similar Contract that I was to sign" simply do not hold water. This is going to be a very easy case for the judge to determine. Miguna needs to start calculating the court costs for this suit coz very soon he will be hit with a very huge bill.

I wonder what those on victory laps will say when they see the same Miguna working alongside ODM and Raila for 2012 elections. Disagreeing with Raila on a matter such as this does not mean ODM is no longer our party or that we shall not campaign for ODM come 2012. If and when Miguna works alognside ODM and Raila for 2012 elections (as is widely anticipated, for where else can Miguna go anyway) it will mean that Miguna will have swallowed his over-bloated pride, and that will augur very well for whatever is left of his esteem and ego. It is also very refreshing to see those who had taken a hard stance against Raila over this Miguna issue by issuing all manner of threats to Raila including threatening to consign him to retirement with Kibaki if he takes this too far, now slowly crawling back. Phil even stooped as low as saying that Miguna is not “one of those teargas- hardened-railway-uprooting youths from Kisumu Ndogo of Kibera who can be tossed anyhowly.” As if those young men from Kisumu Ndogo in Kibera are not fellow Kenyans. Miguna has no choice but to crawl back to Raila/ODM. Watch this space!!!

Miguna has a right to go to court and sue for his rights. I think that he might he even win the case and get compensation. . The fact that this Miguna guy went public with this thing the way he did just shows how pathetic and juvenile he is, and especially after filing a case in court. He is not even a smart lawyer that he tries to project himself to be, and I think he will loose this case. He is talking about breach of contract. I am not a lawyer, but the very limited law I learnt while pursing my CPA many years ago taught me that in a contract there has to be an offer and acceptance both of which have to be fulfilled in order to make the contract binding. Information that has leaked out indicate that Miguna did not agree to terms which were allegedly revised on his "contract" and therefore did not sign the alleged documents. The information also says that they have been chasing him to sign the documents in vain. His failure to sign the documents means there was no acceptance. Also if the documents he refused to sign differed from the agreement he had with whomever hired him, then that means that the documents constituted a counter offer, which in effect nullifies the original offer. If this info is actually true and accurate then his alleged contract is void ab initio. Due process my big Toe.

How was Miguna sourced and hired? I believe he was hired through political connections. Why now is he talking about due process? . This comment is spot on. Due process goes both ways. This Miguna guy behaves like a grown baby throwing tuntrums all around. How does it help his cause talking about spending $50000 on behalf of Raila. This guy is just pathetic. When a true gentleman breaks up with his girlfriend, all he has to do is gather up his belongings and leave. Then try to work out a deal about any money owed to him. End of story. You don't climb on top of the roof and shout to the whole world telling them how your ex is a misogynist slam. Yet that is what this Miguna chap is doing to Raila. Whinning about not having heard from Raila for a week is just plain Juvenile. As if his suspension is the only thing on Raila's plate. Yes, his contract may have been breached. Just pursue that and go. ODM is much bigger than Miguna. And those on this blog trying to give Raila an ultimatum simply because Miguna has been thrown under the bus need to style up. Maybe if Miguna was more diplomatic and less arrogant in his ways then this would not have been this embarassing to him. If my memory serves me correct, he was trounced at the last elections. So how is he all of a sudden too important to ODM. Bure kabisa

This issue of less than 100 people voting for a mayor of a whole city should end forthwith. The city residents should vote for the mayor and I am glad this could be tha last time that less than 100 people are bribed heavily to vote for a mayor

The noose that is the impending vetting of judges should be left hanging in the air indefinately. The actual vetting should not take place but we should keep talking on a daily basis about the impending vetting if only to motivate the judges to keep up the good work. This is because the judges have upped their game remarkably in the recent past. Its funny that even one of the worst judges in Kenyan history (In)Justice Jeane Gacheche has performed fairly well lately. This vetting talk is a good thing.

Mzee i hear you. Raila must personally explain to the public why miguna has been suspended. That is the least i expect .Until then i will reserve my comment on the matter. Raila don't need to explain jack to no one. This move was long overdue and I wonder why it took this long. I wonder why some Raila/ODM followers are too fanatical to the point where they do not see what a liability this goon was to the PM/party. Miguna's abrassive style was more fashionable and admirable during the Moi era, and that era is long gone. Is it not a suprise that he has been handled the Moi era style? This is the right time now for Miguna to engage in his tantrums. He can now write 50 article per day in the 'Star' for all I care but do it outside the PM's office and payroll. Like I said before, good riddance!!!

The reason for pinning a thread is because it is active and needs to be placed on the top page if many new threads are started. But I am not convinced that a thread that has had no activity since 10th July is worth being pinned on the first page which means we can only see 4-5 active threads on the first page! Amkeni wakubwa!!!! Couldn't agree more

Before lamenting how intolerant Raila/ODM is, how come this Kiptanui fellow conveniently forgot to mention the fact that Ruto and hisl allies have been going around the country on a daily basis saying how dead ODM is and how they had "chanukad" zamani and left that party. REPEAT: We Left that party (ODM) a long time ago. When the party is seeking that the law be enforced (Political Parties Act), why would anybody in their right minds even spend a minute listening to Ruto and his allies complaining about being expelled from a party which, by their own confession, they alread left a long time ago??? These people must really think that Kenyans are stupid, or worst still, Kenyans might actually just be stupid.

Sonko put it very well for Martha. Before throwing people out of her party, she should start by expelling herself from Narc Kenya for campaigning for one Bonny Khalwale in the recent "goldmine" by-election. This is just about the only sensible thing I have ever heard coming from Sonko.

Let me just express my opinion and then sit back and watch the vitriol directed towards me. For starters, I never, repeat, never ever read any articles by Miguna. A top advisor to the PM or even the president should not find himself engaged in mudslinging with all and sundry evertime the sun rises. His opposite number in the President's office can undoubtedly be judged as one of the worst sellouts of the second liberation struggle (He jointly holds this title with Kiraitu Murungi, Gibson Kamau Kuria and Paul Muite), but you will never read or hear Prof. Kibwana engaging in such tantrums like Miguna especially now that he is the president's advisor. Kibwana may be sending out some trash as usual, but he is obviously doing it by proxy. Maybe that is the lesson Miguna needs to learn. Or better still, quite his position in the PM's office and the shout from the rooftop all he wants. Miguna needs to learn a lesson or two from another very good and reliable advisor the PM, Salim Lone. Lay low bwana Miguna. You just don't show your hand on the pocker table Interesting I know why you avoid Hon Miguna articles. They are imbued with heart stabbing truths that are self evident. The truth hurts I know. On the other hand, outright lies by the fake professa kangwanja did not bother you yet he is the lame duck P.O.R.Ks strategist/advisor/bosom buddies. You dont find fault with kimeendeeero wa muranga and his snake threats or chauvinistic insults against Ms Ngilu, nor do you find it troubling when the perpetually inebriated muthamaki insults folks mothers and wives. Thats so cool I guess. But when the prophetic voice of Hon Miguna alerts us to the follies of the inept corrupt highly tribalized and destructive and obstructionist regime of keguoya, fellows whine. Prophets are reviled in their hometowns. Even Jesus. PM, When I mentioned Miguna’s opposite number in PNU I meant Prof. Kivutha Kibwana. I do not read anything from that idiot Kagwanja either. What most people do not understand is that the utterances of holders of certain offices are often construed to be directly from the bosses they work for and that is the situation Miguna finds himself in. Whatever “sensational” he writes (and they are many, I hear) are and can be interpreted to be coming from the PM himself. It doesn’t matter how much he says that they are his personal opinion. The kind of writing that Miguna is engaged in is at best done by a party youth winger or at worst an official at the party secretariat. If he insists on continuing with this line of writing then he needs to step down from the PM’s office and engage in his kind of writing but while in a different capacity. I wonder why none of the other advisors to the PM has pointed out issue. I guess that speaks volumes about the kind of advisors the PM has. Image is everything in public life especially this century and Miguna is doing a great DISERVICE to the PM. The only advisor to the PM that I know of who serves the PM really well is Salim Lone. How I wish someone would point this out to the Prime Minister

Former Voi MP, Boniface Mghanga passed away on Tuesday July 5, an event that hardly made any news in Kenya. I want to take this grand opportunity to express my glowing tribute to the Late Mghanga and particularly so for his prowess in music, specifically choral music. Those of us who are choral music enthusiasts will remember with nostalgia how Boniface Mghanga led the world famous Muungano Choir back in the day and belted out some of the best choral music ever heard in Kenya. Some will quickly dismiss him because a lot of his music back in the day werre also sang in praise of Kanu, but that aside, I have to express my personal gratitude to Mr. Boniface Mghanga for having lifted our spirits in song. I remember most of the songs by Muungano choir as thought it was just yesterday. Maybe someone can send me a link where I can purchase all the collections by Muungano choir.
In the meantime I send my condolences to the family and loved ones of Boniface and pray that God will give them courage during this time of sorrow. Fare thee well Boniface.

Kamalet, I dont know why your intelligence hibernates whenever corrupt PNU pliant politicians are in the dock. There is an agreement between Kenya and the UK and indeed many more countries to cooperate in fighting serious crime. That is why Devani can be extradited to Kenya by the UK to answer to charges relating to the Triton scandal if the AG were to act. Are you aware of this fact? Are you aware also that there are extradition provisions within those agreements? If you are aware, do you think the law should be applied or not? If you think the law shouldnt be applied, then I would allow you to argue on that basis. P.S..Your statement calls to mind a certain situation. My friend attended jury service in the UK a while back and the accused was being tried on a charge of theft. There was a juror who did not believe that such an offence as theft existed. It was his belief that everyone should be free to avail himself of his neighbour's property. That was his heartfelt belief. So kamale if your heartfelt belief is that Kenyans should only be tried in Kenya, and you can argue it consistently, I am ready to respect that position while not agreeing with it. EnigmaFirst and foremost, the last time I checked, Okemo was a top honcho in ODM so it has nothing to do with PNU/ODM! Secondly, you have completely missed the import of my original post. This is not an argument about whether the two should be extradited or not - that is for the courts to decide. My gripe is the "pressure" from the British High Commissioner to the AG to ensure that the two are extradited to Jersey and I am convinced this is an affront on the Kenyan justice system. Getting into an argument about the defence given by Okemo and Gichuru and trying to trash it cannot be the work of the diplomat - that has to be the role of the Kenyan courts! Just to set the record straight, Okemo is not a top honcho at ODM as stated above. Okemo fell out with ODM a long time ago and at some point had a dalliance with the Ruto group. This was at the time that Ababu Namwamba was also having a dalliance with the Ruto group but Ababu saw the light and came crawling back home. Okemo on the other hand just disappeared and has appeared confused ever since

Whilst I applause the generosity given to Mutai, I must question the ferocious publicity? Eti a big headline - Raila rescues Chelagat Mutai by a disciple named John Oywa. Did he really rescue? She was taken to a national hospital, and the most done for her was probably payment of her bills. Even the poor woman was ashamed of the naked opportunism. A sullen Mutai initially refused to speak to The Standard and KTN team as a few neighbours gathered to witness her departure to hospital.
"I don’t want to be interviewed here please. Let me go to the hospital first," she said, apparently embarrassed by her situation. My point is there are a lot of sick and poor Kenyans across the country and many out there help as much as they can without any 'political' drumming for publicity. Shame when poor and sick people are helped for political mileage! I was ready to bet my last dime that the kind gesture by the PM was going to be attacked like this. I'm still waiting for the rest of the PM haters to politicise this noble gesture

If the collective conscience of those incharge of the Education ministry or those in charge of the government as a whole is not pricked to act on this blatant theft of $4.2 billion by resignations/firings followed by prosecution, then the following clip should be flashed all over their faces. If this clip is not enought to make them move or act then we are forever doomed as a country. www.youtube.com/user/k24tv#p/u/1/7S510larBgU

Balala actually started warming up to Raila the moment Joho was named in that infamous list togeether with Mwau and Kabogo. Before that Joho had completely neutralized Balala in coast politics. So when the opportunity presented itself, Balala decided to swing into action because the allegations against Joho completely slowed him down in siasa. Word has it that Balala was even planning to completely knock out Joho but Raila may have gotten wind of the impending messy fallout hence his intervension. It will be interesting to see how long this truce will hold.
