A well written article, and most of the things sid there are correct.
Unfortunately, the line between a reformer and a non-reformer is normally difficult to objectively define, not any different to defining a conservative or a liberal!!
Part of the problem facing the african, and Kenyan in particular is their obsession with particular leaders as deliverers of solutions to all their problems. The leaders we elect are people who should not even hold a candle to anyo right thinking Kenyan....but alas, you will find that some of these people are our political heroes/heroines depending on which side of the divide you belong to.
The people who would be helping the Kenyan understand by we need to change the leadership we have, do it with ulterior motives. Either a lie on civic education is premised on how much funding one can get so that they can join the SUV city crowd, or in the alternative they have political agendas driving them. Perhaps the number of former "reformists" in politics is indicative of this, and I am certain these are the people we are calling turn coats!
Ultimately, until this dishonesty ends, we shall thrive on this vicious cycle to no end!!
