A very good and open-minded blog entry. Wish there were more of her ilk.

Its a pity that ethnicity is such a big issue in Kenya today. What is more worrying is that younger Kenyans are being sucked into this dark hole. We should consider the fact that technically there are very few 'pure' Luhyas Luos Kikuyus or whatevers in Kenya today. My grandmother was Luhya. I have three nieces by my sissters, two of whom are Kikuyu and one of whom is Kalenjin. I have inlaws who are Kikuyu, Taita, Kamba, Luhya, Kisii and Meru. Considering how some of my cousins behave, I probably have nephews and nieces strewn all over the country. So why should I believe some politician when he tells me that all these people are my enemies and that he is my only savior? This for me is trully a pet peeve and I would love to hear suggestions on how to stem the tribal cancer that our 'honourable' wabunge are so determined to spread
